I have download the files for Windows 2000.
Oracle 9i Database version 9.0.2.1
Oracle 9i DS version 9.0.2
Download Date: June 7, 2002
These from what I can tell are the lates versions on the website. I installed the database and everything went in fine. I can work with the database and everything. When I use the Universal Installer for Oracle 9i DS, I get an error when it hits 31% that states that this version of DS will not work with a database that is of version 9.0.2.1 or greater.
If anyone can help me it would be a great help,

Today I attended one interview. They asked me a difference between the Oracle Physical Standby database and Oracle Dataguard?
Upto my knowledge Oracle Physical Standby Database is one type of Standby Database can be configured using Oracle Databaguard Feature.

Its the database connection you want to track. The session audit will show where it came from.
Auditing is turned using this command:

Some may want their data in a separate network zone for security reasons.
It also depends if it is the same people that do maintenance on db and appserver.
It is lower cost with one server, and only 1 Os to set up.

    If there is a final product A, and the planning strategy for A is 20(MTO), the procurement type of A is F(external procurement) at the view mrp2 in the material master datas.
step1: I creat a sales order.
step2: run MRP for A.
step3: transfer the purchase requistion into a purchase order,and the field of acc.***.cat. in the purchase order will be filled out M automatically, because the acc.***.cat. in the planning strategy 20(MTO) is set with E.
    Well, the purchase order is created, what is the relationship between the sales order and the purchase order? What will be happened about costing between the SO and the PO?
    If I delete the E, I make the PO become a standard PO, what is difference between standard PO and the PO including E?

As of today you should install SOA Suite 11g
Fr this you will need to install Database (for development you can use XE)
Run RCU utility to crete DB schemas for SOA Suite.
Install Weblogic server
Install SOA Suite as an option to Weblogic
Create SOA Domain.
It is physically possible to do it in 2GB but is far better on 3 - 4GB
You can consider installing DB on different machine.

Depending on the requirement and the availability we go with implementing a particular database.
For xi point of view there is no difference between oracle and SQL database. However you need to intall the drivers of SQL.
Even there is no difference in the communication channel configuration.

Oracle 9i Database and Solaris 10 Zones

Can an existing oracle 9i database be moved into a new zone? The database resides on it's own filesystem. The server is runnign Solaris 10, and the zones are not set up yet, but Oracle is installed, and the 2 databases are up and running.
Basically there are 2 existing oracle 9i databases, and I want to setup 2 zones, where none other than the default global exist right now, and have each database in a zone.

You need to do the following -
Configure loopback mount points from the global zone into the local zone through zonecfg (one for Oracle binary, other for Oracle data). I am assuming that you want to share the same Oracle binary location between all the zones. The Oracle database mounts must be separate & make sure that you put them in the respective zone's config only.
Create an oracle user with dba group in both the zones. It's best if the user IDs & group IDs across all the zones & global zone match.
Stop both the database instances in the global zone.
zlogin to a zone, su as oracle and startup the instances.

Hi Balu,
If you have the Oracle 9i Client, you can just edit your TNSNAMES.ora file of your client to have a TNS Entry for your new Database & try connecting it. You just need to try TNSPING & ensure that you can reach the Listener.

There are a number of ways...
You can certainly use DTS to extract a subset of rows and move them to Oracle. You'll need to define the WHERE clause when defining your DTS steps.
You can use Oracle Heterogeneous Connectivity to create a database link to SQL Server from Oracle and pull the data over via straight SQL, i.e.
INSERT INTO local_table
SELECT * FROM remote_table@sql_server_dblink WHERE extract_conditionYou can do a similar thing in SQL Server where you use linked servers to connect to Oracle from SQL Server and push the data
This list can go on, but these should get you started.
