    hi check this..
    CTS Transaction Terminology
Workbench Organizer (SE09) Correction and Transport System
    Customizing Organizer (SE10)
    Transport System (SE01)
Task and Change requests are released from the system using SE09 or SE10 (SE01 can also be used, but not recommended )
SE01 - To display the workbench Requests
SE09 - Workbench Request and it is client specific what we BW consultants develop in workbench.
SE10 - Customizing Requests which is Global. It affects to all the clients in the system. Generally Basis team use to develop it.

  • Se01,se09,se10 difference

what is difference between se01,se09,se10 ?
    explain step wise.plzzzzz.

    Hi,
SE01 is the main screen of the Change and transport Organizer. From here the administrator can acheive all tasks related to transport requests - such as create, change, view logs, display client/delivery transports, etc. SE09 and SE10 can also be accessed from here. However, not all developers might be granted access to this transaction.
SE09 is the workbench transport requests transaction - here the developers can track changes to all ABAP workbench objects (dictionary, reports, module pools, etc). This is a developer-specific transaction and mostly all developers have access to this transaction.
SE10 is the customizing request display transaction - this displays all the customizing requests in the system. Again, this could be restricted to Business analysts if required, since they would be doing most of the customizing changes in the system.

  • What  is the difference between T.CODES  SE10  SE09 SE01

    DEAR EXPERTS
    what  is the difference betweemn T.CODES  SE10  SE09 SE01

    Hi,
SE09 is the transaction code for workbench organiser.Workbench organiser is the set of utilities for development change management. All Development changes are tracked via Workbench organiser.
SE10 is for Customosing organiser.Customising organiser is the set of tools for customising change management. All customizing changes are tracked via customising organiser.
    SE01
    Transport Organizer (extended view)
You call the initial screen of the extended view of the Transport Organizer with Transaction SE01. You can access this transaction from the standard Transport Organizer by choosing Goto ® Transport Organizer (extended view).
Provided you have configured the system correctly, transportable change requests and Customizing requests automatically ensure that the subsequent systems are supplied consistently with your development work.
Extra transport types are provided in the extended view to meet any special requirements:
    Piece Lists
    Client Transports
    Delivery Transports (SAP/Partner ® Customer)
    Individual display
Unlike the Workbench and Customizing requests, there are no automatically assigned transport routes for the transport types described here. Similarly, these requests do not follow configured deliveries.

  • Relocations in SE01, SE09, SE10

    Hi All,
There is an option RELOCATIONS in the tcodes SE01, SE09 and SE10 (Transport Organizer). Please provide information regarding this option.

    Hello Arun,
Basically every object in a SAP system has a 'source' system where the original version of the object is held. You can only change that object in the original system. This is supposed to prevent that object from being changed in two different systems.
E.g. You have systems XX1 and XX2. Both systems transport into XY1.
If you would be allowed to change a certain object in XX1 AND XX2 changes done in the object in XX2 will overwrite changes made to the object in XX1 if the change from XX2 is transported after the one from XX1.
To avoid this an object has a source system and only there the original can be changed. If you want to transfer the original from one system to another, then you would use a relocation.
In the above example assumed that the original of the object is XX1, but for whatever reason you want the original of that object to be in XX2 you would have to relocate that object from XX1 to XX2 which would overwrite the XX2 version with the XX1 version and sets the original of the object to XX2.
    Hope that helps,
    Michael

  • SE01, SE09, SE10 throwing dumps with Syntax error

We were applying some security notes in the SAP ECC6 Ehp1 system however, we forgot to implement a pre-requisite which was an external transport before implementing a note (in dev. we did it right but in test system, we forgot to do the external import first). Due to this, the RDDIMPDP job is getting cancelled every time & we get dumps whenever we use SE01 or SE09 or SE10.
    Pre-requisite note : 1497003
    Next note              : 1582138
Could you please help resolving this issue ?
    Thank you !

    Hi,
You can try with resetting note implementation in dev system which will generate one transport request. And move this transport request to test system as a result note will be reset in quality system as well.
Then again implement note in dev and transport it to test system after implementing pre-requisite note.
    Thanks
    Sunny

If you look in se93 both transaction have the same properties.
response time , interpretation time is less for se10 when compared to
se09..that's the only diff and it surves the same pupose..
What are the differences between SE01, SE09 and SE10?
    Ans      SE01    -           Correction & Transport Organizer
                SE09    -           Workbench Organizer
                SE10    -           Customizing Organizer
Create the transaction using object browser (SE80)
    SE84  Repository info system
<b>Find out in what all Tables a specified field is available.</b>
<b>You can find out through transaction code SE15.</b>
    1) Give SE15 on command prompt.
    2) Select ABAP Dictionary
    3) Select "fields" folder
    4) Click on table fields
    5) Then you can enter the desired field name (In your case EKGRP)
    6) Run OR press F8.
The system will list out all the tables which contain your desired field name.
    or
    1) using  transactin Code  SE11( ABAP Dictionary)
    2) enter the Data table name where-in the respective field (EKGRP) is used eg; EKKO
    3) Click the where -used list button
    4) Check out the box(DB tables) Only .
There you can see entire list of tables containing the desired field.

but i think this is not the correct answer which is  already appear in the thread list
recently sombady has answer like the one which i have mentioned above but the interviwer said that this is wrong.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE EXACT ANSWER AND HELP ME OUT.
    Regards
    fareed

    Hi Fareed,
First of all, i would say its a nice obsevation. As soon as i saw your post i started checking both transactions in seperate window and i found something interesting.
    My Observation is as follows:-
<b>When we create a Transaction, apart from the Transaction Name, Program Name, Screen Number etc., we also can give someting called "AUTHORIZATION FOR CALLED TRANSACTIONS", under the menu: UTILITIES of the window.
Also we can use TRANSACTION:SE97, Maintain Transaction call Authorization in CALL TRANSACTION. Here we maintain the list of TRANSACTION CALLED for our Calling Transaction.
Now if you see, this list for Transaction SE09 and SE10, The Authorization for Called Transaction Differs a lot. Hence the difference bettween SE09 and SE10 is mainly the AUTHORIZATION Objects.</b>
<b>NOTE:</b> This is my own observation, so there are chances of misinterpretation from my side, accounting to the human err. But this is something new to me too.
    Thanks and regards,
    RAVI :).
PLEASE AWARD POINTS IF YOU FEEL MY SOLUTION TO YOUR QUESTION IS RIGHT $-).

    => Customizing requests
    => Workbench requests
    => Transports of copies
    => Relocations
Transaction <b>SE01</b> displays the <b>extended view of the Transport Organizer</b> , where you can also work with piece lists, client transports and delivery transports.

  • Difference between CTS and Transport request

    Hi,
i need to know what is the Difference between CTS and Transport request.
    kindly expecting replies

    CTS (Change & Transport System)
The CTS is a tool that helps you to organize development projects in the ABAP workbench & in customizing and then transport the changes between the SAP Systems & clients in your system landscape.
This docuentation provides you with an overviewof how to manage changes with the CTS & essential information on setting up your system & client lanscape & deciding on a transport strategy. Read & follow the documentation when planning ur development project.
For practical information on working with the Change & Transport system, see Change & transport Organizer & Transport Management System.
    Transport Request
Transport Request is a Request number where the developments are given logical storage number which in turn help in transporting the developments to one system / server to other server.
T.Code SE09 & SE10 are used to Transport the request..

  • What is the difference between task and change request?

    Hi all
What is the difference between task and change request?
    thanks all

    Dear Ispit,
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/19/3f5bf8a4b011d285090000e8a57770/content.htm">Request Types and Task Types</a>
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/dd/cc86a571464559a2685a404397065b/content.htm">Change Transactions in Change Request Management</a>
For more information about the SAP Change and Transport System (CTS), visit the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/57/38ddff4eb711d182bf0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
Transport Request is generated in following scenarios:
    1. Customizing Request - When doing or changing some customization.
    2. WorkBench Request - When configuration is cross-client. Eg Generating new Table, making changes in access sequence, Abap development, etc.
Transport request is not generated for Master Data. For eg: Customer Master, Material Master, price master, etc.
    Benefit of Transport Request:
SAP Landscape normally has 3- Tier system:
Development Server - Where customization takes place. Transport request is generated at this level & then first transported to Quality server for testing whether it meets the requirement or not. Once the requirement is met in Quality server then Request is transported from Development Server to Production Server (Actual / Live System)
Quality Server - Mainly useful for testing.
Production Server Actual / Live server, where the real transactions are created & posted.
Procedure to Release & Transport Request:
    1. In development server, go to T.Code: SE10 & select the check box Modifiable & enter
    2. In the next screen, you will see list of transport request created.
Note: Transport request consist of main request along with sub request. These sub request hold the object to be transported.
    3. Expand the main request & you will be able to view the sub requests attached to main request.
    4. First release the sub requests.
Note: To release the request, select the request ni & click on release request individually (Do not select release all request)
    5. Next release main request.
    6. Once the request is released sucessfully, imform the basis person to import the request to QA server.
    or
If the authority is with you, through T.Code: STMS, select development server --> select request no & release to QA server. Here when it pops up client no, user id & password, maintain it of QA server & release the request to QA server.
Reward points if this is helpful.
    Regards,
    Naveen.
