Difference between SMQ1 and RSA7 in CRM system?

We all know that in R3 systems and for LO Cookpit applications, SMQ1 can display outbound queue which usually contains the updated records on R3 systems for LO Cookpit application data and then after scheduled V3 job, these updated records on R3 systems can be moved from the outbound queue (SMQ1) to Delta queue (RSA7) and wait for BW Delta extraction.
However in CRM systems, there should be no such scheduled V3 job, does that mean SMQ1 = RSA7 in CRM systems, or in other words, both T-Codes or the Outbound queue (SMQ1) and the Delta queue (RSA7) show the same updated records and wait for BW extraction?
Anyone's answer is greatly appreciated!

Hi
RSA7 will hold the delta records nothing but delta queue. But in SMQ1 is used to delete the entries(data) in the delta Queue.
Thanks

    Hi,
SMQ1 : outbound queue for qRFC Monitor. this transaction is used  to monitor the status of the LUWs in the outbound queue and restart any hanging queues manually.
For the details please see the link below..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/76/e12041c877f623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
RSA7: In R3 it's show the delta queues for all data sources in the same source system.
For like  Data sources in R/3 will have their delta queues in R/3 and hence these will be displayed in RSA7 in R/3.
The main purpose to use RSA7 is to maintain the BW delta queue, it will generally show the status and the data source having the delta mode active .
You have to first  check the data source in the delta mode which are not getting populated in the RSA7 t-code .
Check the following link for the details..

  • Activity System status: differences between u0093Openu0094 and u0093In processu0094 status

    Dear Experts,
What’s the difference between “Open” and “In process” system status? In help.sap.com it: “There are four system statuses that represent the life cycle of the business transaction:
    • Open: has been recently created and not yet processed (for example, contract from the Internet)
    • In process: administrator is clearing up questions”
But, how does the system assumes the “In Process” status ?? I‘ve tested business activities creation with different employees assigned and, when editing and saving the business activities with these BP’s the system status does not change.
However, in other “unknown” situations the status system is changed to “in Process”.
Any ideas about the meaning of the “In Process” status? And when the business activity switches to that?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joao

    Hi,
These four system statuses that represent the life cycle of the business transaction:
    ·        Open: has been recently created and not yet processed (for example, contract from the Internet)
    ·        In process: administrator is clearing up questions
    ·        Released: contract is complete and legal. Follow-up processes can be started (printing, billing, distribution, releases and so on)
    ·        Completed: All actions directly linked to contract are completed
    ·        Closed: all actions indirectly linked to the contract are closed (for example, from R/3: batch run to actual costs)
Each status having its own control at the configuration level. If you observe the following process you may understand the importance of various statuses.
For example in any transaction by default status would be Open. Once the transaction opened by the respective responsible person he will change the status as In Process, Once the assigned task is completed he will change the status as Completed.
Please notice the configuration settings in the following navigation path:
SPRO->IMG->CRM->Transactions->Basic Functions->Status Management-> Change Status Profile for User Status->Select Quotation->Double click on the different status. You can observe the difference.
    Hope I convinced.
    Best Regards,
    Johnny.

  • Differences Between Object And System Privileges

    Hi,
Whats the difference between object and system privileges in oracle?
    Cheers
    Paul

    System Privileges
A system privilege is the right to perform a particular action, or to perform an action on any schema objects of a particular type. For example, the privileges to create tablespaces and to delete the rows of any table in a database are system privileges.
    Schema Object Privileges
A schema object privilege is a privilege or right to perform a particular action on a specific schema object:
For example, the privilege to delete rows from the departments table is an object privilege.
Some schema objects, such as clusters, indexes, triggers, and database links, do not have associated object privileges. Their use is controlled with system privileges. For example, to alter a cluster, a user must own the cluster or have the ALTER ANY CLUSTER system privilege.
A schema object and its synonym are equivalent with respect to privileges. That is, the object privileges granted for a table, view, sequence, procedure, function, or package apply whether referencing the base object by name or using a synonym.
Granting object privileges on a table, view, sequence, procedure, function, or package to a synonym for the object has the same effect as if no synonym were used. When a synonym is dropped, all grants for the underlying schema object remain in effect, even if the privileges were granted by specifying the dropped synonym.

  • Can you tell me some differences between R2 and R3 systems?

    Hi,
Can you tell me some differences between R2 and R3 systems?
I guess R2 is used only for mainframe systems some time back. But i dont know why we prefered R3 over R2.
    Please clarify this!
    Thanks,
    Venkatesh.R.

    SAP R/3 is
    Client server
    3 tier
    Presentation
    Application
    Database
    Relatively hardware and database independent
ABAP/4 applications runs on application servers.
Dispatcher, shared memory, gateway, work processes are major components of an application server.
    SAP R/3 offers
Comprehensive suite of integrated applications meeting the needs of most business
    Best practice process design
    Ability to configure to
    Industry sector
    Unique business requirements
In a R/2  System - it is a 2 Tier System based on Mainframe Systems with Intelligent terminals
R/3 is based 3 tier Client Server architechture and supports the R/2 system as well.
    R/3 Middleware -
    Client server
    Uses underlying relational databases
    Oracle
    SQL server
    Ingress
    Sybase
    Its graphical user interface
    Sap GUI
hence R/3 is preffered over R/2 systems because they support Client Server Architecture which is easily configurable, scalable and can integrate with ERP systems and integrate with SOA or Web based Apps.

  • Difference between SYS and SYSTEM user

    Hi,
Well, one of my colleagues have asked me the difference between SYS and SYSTEM user .. Normally these are the users which will be under the monitoring of the DBA .. So, how could I know the difference between these two users ..
    Please assist me
    Regards

SYS is the owner of the database and the owner of the data dictionary.
The objects belonging to SYS cannot be exported. But SYS has the SYSDBA privilege which SYSTEM doesn't.
SYSTEM is a privileged administration user, and typically owns Oracle provided tables other than the dictionary.
SYSDBA is not a role, it is a privilege. You'll find it in system_privilege_map, not in dba_roles.

  • Performance difference between page and scroll

    Hi experts:
What is the technical difference between paging and scrolling, especially as pertains to database access and performance?  The scenario would be a table result in a view where 200 results exist for a query.  A scrollable table would show all results, while the paging table would show 10/20 per page.  Is the database selection the same for both approaches?  Or is the paging approach going to make more trips?  If there are trips - how does the UI know how many pages should be presented?  Is one or the other a better approach for data which is not existing in CRM system?
    regards,
    bill.

If you look at the servlet translated from a JSP, you'll see these lines:
    Object page = this;
    pageContext = _jspxFactory.getPageContext(this, request, response,
                null, true, 8192, true);
    _jspx_page_context = pageContext;
application = pageContext.getServletContext();So page is simply an alias for this.
And PageContext is analogous to ServletContext but please notice, it's not the same or a replacement; application is the implicit reference to ServletContext and not pageContext. There is no equivalent of pageContext in servlets.
Please note that the page scope doesn't refer to the page object but to the pageContext. Therefore, what Manivel said above
page is used as a scope with in one jspisn't correct.

  • Difference between Smartforms and Sapscrits.

    Hi Experts,
I have a interview coming up next week and I was just wondering: difference between Smartforms and SAPscripts..
So experts, can anyone please let me know what are the main differences between Smartforms and SAPScripts??
I will really appreciate your answers.. guys..
    Regards,
       -Ashok Patel.

    Hi,
    <b>Difference with SMARTFORMS vs. SapScript(SE71)</b>
The Following are the differences :-
    a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts
    b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
    c) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.
    d) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.
    e) Smartforms generates a function module when activated.
    f) Unlike sapscripts (RSTXSCRP), you cannot upload/download Smartform to your local harddisk.
It was said that it was provided in CRM 3.0 version, but not available in R/3.  You can download smartforms into Local PC in a XML format.  In the same way you can upload this XML format into Smartform.  From the smartform editor itself you can call download option, if you are working in CRM 3.0 environment.
In R3 also, you can download into XML format. However, it's not sure about uploading. Refer to the program 'SF_XSF_DEMO'.
In 4.7 Enterprise, other have seen this utlity which is completey missing in 4.6c. There is functionality to downlaod a complete form or only a particular node. (Utilities -> Download form). It will create a XML file and save it in the hard disk.
For others, if you want to download/upload the Smartforms source, you will need the help from the Basis people.  What you can do is to create a Transport and then FTP down to your local harddisk.   When you need the Smartform source in another system, you have FTP up the Smartforms file back to the SAP server.  Finally, the Basis team, will tp it into your system.
    g) The protect and endprotect command in sapscript doesn't work with smartforms. For example on a invoice: First data of position no 80. is printed on page one, other data of position no 80 is printed on page 2. And there's nothing you can do about it.  Actually, there is something you can do about it.  By using a folder node and checking the 'protect' checkbox, everything in that folder will be page protected.
    Check the link,
    <u>http://www.sap-img.com/smartforms/sap-smart-forms.htm</u>
    <b>Conversion of SAPSCRIPT to SMARTFORMS</b>
SAP provides a conversion for SAPscript documents to SMARTforms.
This is basically a function module, called FB_MIGRATE_FORM. You can  start this function module by hand (via SE37), or create a small ABAP which migrates all SAPscript forms automatically.
You can also do this one-by-one in transaction SMARTFORMS, under
    Utilities -> Migrate SAPscript form.
You could also write a small batch program calling transaction SMARTFORMS and running the migration tool.
    Hope it helps u.

  • Difference between ok_code and sy-ucomm

    Hi,
Can any one tell me the difference between ok_code and sy-ucomm

    Hi,
Actually OK_CODE and SY-Ucomm are the same. But experts suggest use of OK code for following reason:
In each PAI event that a user triggers by choosing either a pushbutton on the screen or an element in a GUI status, the corresponding function code is placed into the system field SYST-UCOMM or SY-UCOMM and placed in the OK_CODE field (as long as the function code is not empty). Empty function codes are placed in neither the SY-UCOMM field nor the OK_CODE field.
In your ABAP programs, you should work with the OK_CODE field instead of SY-UCOMM. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the ABAP program has full control over fields declared within it, and secondly, you should never change the value of an ABAP system field. However, you should also always initialize the OK_CODE field in an ABAP program for the following reason:
In the same way that the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program and the system field SY-UCOMM receive the contents of the corresponding screen fields in the PAI event, their contents are also assigned to the OK_CODE screen field and system field SYST-UCOMM in the PBO event. Therefore, you must clear the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program to ensure that the function code of a screen is not already filled in the PBO event with an unwanted value. This is particularly important when the next PAI event can be triggered with an empty function code (for example, using ENTER). Empty function codes do not affect SY-UCOMM or the OK_CODE field, and consequently, the old field contents are transported.

  • What is the difference between avi and mov

    Hi FCP users,
I am actually an audio guy, but I would like an answer on something.
I work with Logic, and usually use quicktime movies when I am working to movies. But I am working with a client who is an Avid user and swears by avi files. Can someone explain to me the difference. My client explained to me that avi's are better than mov files. He claims their file sizes are bigger, so therefore there quality is better. He said there is some form of compression on quicktime movies which lessen the quality to avi, even if the mov is uncompressed apparently the quality is still less than an uncompressed avi. If this is not true, could someone give me the real big difference between the two.
I thought is was more of a preference, like windows users prefer wav, and apple users like quicktime movies. Like with audio, there isnt a huge difference between aif and wav. Windows users prefer wav and apple users aif.
Thanks in advance for any information.

The vid guy has sent me some files to work with. So I am working in Final Cut to edit some of the video, and then sending it back to him. He is working on PC with Avid. What is the best. Should I convert the avi files he has sent to me to mov files. Then pull these into FCP, and then export it out as avi for him. Or should I export out as mov, and then he converts them to avi when he pulls it into Avid on his PC? Very confusing which is the best procedure between Mac and PC.
Thanks in advance for any help.
This is a disaster in the making. You can avoid being part of the train wreck by either renting an Avid, going to live at his house, or telling him to get a Macintosh.
You must find the lowest common denominator video format that will work on both of your systems. That could be conventional DV, dunno, never used Avid and never tried to edit anything on a PC. But I can tell you this with absolute certainty, it will be easier and, in the end, much less expensive for one of you to adopt the other's platform for the duration of this project. The time you waste transcoding, arguing, formatting your drives, buying secondary products, fitting round pegs into square holes, and trying to find a workable solution (that will keep changing as the project gets more complicated) will cost you much more in terms of money out of pocket and creative frustration than simply buying/renting another station.

  • Difference between BAPI and RFC?

    Difference between BAPI and RFC?
also where to use BAPI and where to use RFC?

    Hi,
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
Reading instances of SAP business objects
GetList ( )  With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
GetDetail()  With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method.  BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( )  The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( )  Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( )  The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.

Difference between scalable and fail over cluster

A scalable cluster is usually associated with HPC clusters but some might argue that Oracle RAC is this type of cluster. Where the workload can be divided up and sent to many compute nodes. Usually used for a vectored workload.
A failover cluster is where a standby system or systems are available to take the workload when needed. Usually used for scalar workloads.

    To the op:
Null is java's version of a null value. Java's version is more strict then many other languages, and will not work in a boolean expression or anywhere code expects a real and not null value. It's simply null.
Void is java's way of declaring no return type on a method. Methods that are void take no 'return' statement and if one is provided will cause a fatal error. The exception to this is using 'return' without a value, which returns control to the caller of the method.
    Observe:
    //this method returns an int
    public int return_int(){

  • ABST2 - Differences between Assets and G/L accts

    Hi Experts
We are working on ECC 6.0 and INR is our local currency.
At the end of FY 2007 by mistake direct postings were made to Dep Fund Account which is a Recon a/c and FY 2007 was closed
And because of which FI-GL and FI-AA doesnt match by INR 37353.71 (amt posted in above doc) as shown in ABST2
I've referred SAP notes 104567 & 69225 and found the note 69225 relevant to follow as the difference has not resulted in the current or open years.
So we have passed direct entry which is exactly the reversal of entry posted above using ABF1 (INR -37353.71)
After posting the 2nd document, in ABST2 another line has appeared of INR -37353.71. Although the sum for my recon GL is now zero.
The output of ABST2 is as below now -

2.Differences between assets and G/L accounts at the key date
         Message no. MQ557
Is still something else needs to be done?
Or can I move ahead as the summation of the difference is now zero?
    Please suggest.
    Kapil

We referred to SAP and they suggeted that the tagging of W004 in both the lines means that now there is no error even system prompts it as error.
So we continued with the transactions and after closing the FY 2009, today when we run ABST2, we dont get any error messages as there is no difference left between Assets & GL.
