  • Difference between Change request and Service request

    HI All,
Can any body tell me the actual difference between Change request and Service Request. Does it have any difference ? Or they are same.

Are you referring to the project Specific Terms ??? If yes, then following are the differences.
Change Request - Suppose user is using a Sales Report which displays Revenue by Customer. Now the user wants to see the same by Product as well which is not available in the current report. So the user raises a Change request and the development team works on it to include the same and make it avaialable for the user.
Service Request - These kind of requests are more likely raised when the user needs access to some system (raise service request to Security team), wants to move a transport to the Production box (raise Service request to Basis Team)..etc.

  • Difference between std procurement and service procurement & advantages?

    Dear Gurus,
what are the differences between standard procurement and service procurement &
    advantages of External services management?
    Thanks...

    hi,
In std procurement we procure materials while in the service procurement we procure services...sap has given these two differently may be bacause while procuring the services you never know in advance that how much exact amount is req. just because you don't know for eg wether there is any req. of changing the parts, or general maintenence or anything else...
so due to this you use the value limits....
Advantage: As the services procured are not FIXED as in the std procurement, we do have flexibility for adding up the new services as per the req...
and as we provide the value limits, in the real time scenerio it doesnot cause any FI problem later...

  • Difference between Frame order and service order

    Hi Sam,
    Framework order: -
Purchasing document used to procure materials or external services. Instead of stipulating a specific delivery date, this type of purchase order has an extended validity period.
Framework orders are defined via the document type FO. They are used in accelerated procurement processes in connection with maintenance/ servicing plans or invoicing plans, and for blanket purchase orders (purchase orders with limits).
A framework order covers multiple procurement transactions over a longer period in cases where the administrative costs of processing discrete POs would be disproportionately high.

  • Difference between Blanket PO and Service PO

    Hi,
Can anyone let me know the difference between the blanket PO and the service PO. Please let me know in detail.
    Regards,
    Ashwin

    Dear,
BLANKET PO : For consumable materials supply for long period and reduce the entry work each time.
You can create a purchase order which has a longer validity period (for example a year) and an item-specific value limit. Using Blanket purchase order, it is possible to procure different consumable materials or external services, for which more detailed individual processing (purchase order, goods receipt, invoice entry) is considered uneconomical.
The materials or services are grouped under a heading or super ordinate term and represented as an item of blanket order. Prices for the individual materials are not recorded in purchase order.
A key advantage of blanket purchase order is reduction in processing costs.
    -     Different materials and/or services are procured over a long period with a single PO item.
    -     It is not necessary to issue separate purchase orders for individual procurement transactions.
    -     There is no goods receipt or service entry process.
    -     Neither RFQ nor contract can be created.
     It is possible to change the account assignment when entering invoice.
     You can also switch from single to multiple account assignment during invoice entry.
     If you have entered account assignment U Unknown in PO item, you must manually enter account assignment data
when entering invoice (subject to change has defined as permissible in CUSTOMIZING u2013 MATERNAL MANAGEMENT u2013 PURCHASING u2013 ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT u2013 MAINTAIN ACCOUNT ASSGINMENT CATEGORIES).
    CHARACTERISTICS OF BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER
     Order type FO (Framework order)
o     Validity period in header of purchase order (field selection).
         Item category B (Limit)
    o     Limits in the item
    o     No material number
o     Account assignment category U allowed
o     No goods receipt or service entry
     Accounting data for the item suggested in invoices
     Additional or multiple account assignment possible in invoice verification
     Check of validity period and limit in invoice verification.
To be able to work with validity periods and limits in purchase order you must use document type FO and item category B.
    -     Document type FO enables you to specify the validity period at PO header level and use the item category B for limit items.
    -     You cannot specify a material number in a PO item with item category B.
    -     You have to specify a material / service group.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

  • What are all difference between 11g Mediator and 10g Oracle service bus.

    hi all ,
Apart from SCA concept , storing location
is thr any other difference between 11g Mediator and 10g Oracle service bus ?
    thx in advance..

11g introduces the SCA architecture for building the service infrastructure.
    SOA 11g uses:-
    1. Uses the weblogic Server and BEA Aqualogic Service Bus (ALSB) for the Oracle Service Bus.
    2. BPEL uses scalable DOM with reduced memory usage.
    3. New adapters and leverage for Java 2 Connector Architecture (J2CA)
    4. BAM finally ported from .Net to J2EE and is part of the service infrastructure
    5. Oracle Web Services Management built into SOA 11g service infrastructure
    6. New adapters and leverage for Java 2 Connector Architecture (J2CA). Tighter integration with E-Business Suite & large payload support.
    7. Business Rules in SOA 10g business rules are managed using the Rules Author & in SOA 11g business rules are managed using JDeveloper and SOA composer

  • (261680070) Q WWO-13 What are the difference between WLS6.1 and WLS7.0 web services?

Q<WWO-13> What are the difference between WLS6.1 and WLS7.0 web services?
A<WWO-13> The differences are huge, so different in fact that 6.1 web services cannot
be deployed in 7.0. WLS7.0 and Workshop have much greater functionality than the
limited stateless session (RPC-style) and JMS destination (MSG-style) approach of
6.1. Workshop web services can interact with any type of EJB, any JMS destination
as well as other web services and directly accessing databases. The framework for
building the web service is better and more adaptable and Workshop provides a fully
integrated develop, deploy, test and debug environment. Additionally, WLS7.0 have
the capacity to be much better at performance since due to XML parser enhancements
and the addition of XML maps.

If you want to take existing WLS6.1 web services and convert them to WLS7.0 you can
do so quite easily. The WLS7.0 Ant still supports wsgen so you do not need to even
change your build.xml file. The generated web service however will be implemented
is a manner compliant with the WLS7.0 environment. More details are at:

  • Difference between Hot Pack and Support Pack

    Hello,
Can anyone throw some light on difference between Hot Pack and Support Pack(if there is any) and what is Tax Update Bulletins, do we need to configure for TUBs or what is the SAP HR consultants role is Tubs.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I believe both (hot pack and support pack) are one and the same.
For TUBS, you can find more information in:
Service Marketplace -> SAP ERP Human Capital Management -> Country Info -> North America -> United States -> Tax Update Bulletins -> Tax Factory 8 -> Tub Downloads

    Authentication:
Portal: You log-in to the site. Provides you with information based on who you are.
    e.g. mail.yahoo.com
    Website: No log-in.
    e.g. www.yahoo.com
    Personalization:
Portal: Limited, focused content. Eliminates the need to visit many different sites.
e.g. you type in your user name and password and see your yahoo mail only.
Website: Extensive, unfocused content written to accommodate anonymous users needs.
    Customization :
Portal: You will select and organize the materials you want to access. Organized with the materials you want to access.
Website: Searchable, but not customizable. All content is there for every visitor.
e.g. you can navigate to yahoo mail, yahoo shopping, geo cities, yahoo group. If you wish to use any of these services you will either have to authenticate yourself and see things personalized to you or you can simply visit sections that are for everyone like yahoo news were if you are not signed in then the default sign in is guest.

  • What is the difference between Business System and Business Service?

    Hi
Please tell me what is the difference between Business System and Business Service...? In real time at what situation we will use Business System and in what situations we will use Business Service..? Please help me
    Best Regards
    Ravi Shankar B

    HI,
    Business system:
If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
    Business Service:
If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.
