Difference between the MacBook models.

What is the difference between the models MD101LL/A, MD101LZ/A, MD101BZ/A, MD101E/A?
Which means the letters that differentiate them?
Thank you.

  • Will I Tell the Difference Between the MacBook Pro 13' i5 or i7 chip?

I am wondering if I will notice a difference between the i5 processor or i7 when it comes to working with photoshop and lightroom.
I work with a 27' iMac already in the studio and at school so, no need for getting a large bulky laptop.
Thats why I am interested in the size of a portable 13'

    Yes.
And, please don't make multiple posts of the same question.

  • Is there a difference between the macbook air and the macbook pro?

i know the specs but are there some differences where you can tell me about??

The differences are pretty obvious if you've read the technical specifications comparison. Which MacBook Pro are you comparing the MacBook Air against? There are additional differences if you're comparing between 13, 15 or 17" models.
    The most obvious differences:
    Optical Drive
    Ethernet port
    FireWire port
    i5/i7 CPU architecture
    Dedicated GPU (15 & 17 MBP)
    RAM and HDD upgradeability
    Backlit keyboard

  • Is there a substantial difference between the macbook 2.0ghz and the 2.1gh?

    Hi
I have the 2.0ghz macbook, £699 from PCworld.co.uk and I've just spotted the 2.1ghz, white, priced at £789: I'm buying a macbook for my nephew so it would be good toknow which is better...

Is there a huge difference between these two computers?
I am a complete newbie to macs (although a complete convert as they rock!) but I'm really confused as mine says it's a 2.1 but the specs are for a 2.0. Am I just reading this wrong? I've copy/pasted this from my computer:
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name: Mac
    Model Identifier: MacBook2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 1 GB
    Bus Speed: 667 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MB21.00A5.B06
    SMC Version: 1.17f0
    Serial Number: W8734HN5Z5V
    Sudden Motion Sensor:
    State: Enabled
It says it's a macbook 2.1 but it has only a 2.0ghz processer, I am completely confused...
It's only another £90 so would it be worthwhile paying a little bit extra? Is the £789 macbook a better computer, will it last longer, perform better over time?
Lots of uestions, sorry for being a newbie, any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Karen

    Hey Karen -
I think that you misunderstood my comment. I was merely referring to the statement from your Hardware Overview that mentioned the fact that you indeed had a 2.0 MacBook to clarify the confusion that you had in reading your specs.
The processor speed is not an upgradable item. You would need to get a new MacBook in order to increase you processor speed.
The RAM (you have 1GB) and your Hard Drive (unknown size) are the only upgrades that can be made to your MacBook.
Don't waste your time with Mac for Dummies....instead, if you are famiar with using MS Windows, go here: http://www.apple.com/support/switch101/
    Hope this helps.

  • What's the difference between the Time Capsule early and late 2009 models?

I compared the specs of the [Time Capsule early 2009 model|http://support.apple.com/kb/SP508] to the one currently posted at http://www.apple.com/timecapsule/specs.html, which at the time of this posting is the late 2009 model. The only difference I can see is that the former comes with 500GB or 1TB and the latter comes with 1 or 2TB hard disk capacity.
However, the recent firmware upgrade, *Time Capsule (Simultaneous Dual-Band II) 7.5.1*, was supposed to address issues with the 5GHz connection speed. This is currently only for the late 2009 models. So it seems that there are some hardware differences between the two models.
The latest firmware for the early 2009 model is *Time Capsule (Simultaneous Dual-Band) 7.4.2*
I'm not having any issues with my early 2009 model, but just wondering what I might be missing out on

The most noticeable change in the Late 2009 model is an internal antenna change, which Apple claims will produce about a 20-25% increase in signal penetration. With this came a change in the main chipset, which is why the Late 2009 requires a different firmware version than the Early 2009 version.

  • Difference between the T440s 20AR and 20AQ models

    Hi All,
Does anyone have any information on the difference between the 20AR models and the 20AQ models for the thinkpad T440s?
I can't seem to find the difference and it appears as though the 20AR models are always sold for significantly more in the retail stores.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Good question.  Digging through the tabook  http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf  it looks like a warranty difference.  AR models have a GMP (Global Models Plus) warranty.  I think...
I haven't been able to dig up exactly what that means so far, but hopefully some else will join in and explain.

  • Is there a huge difference between the 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz MBP's?

I am wondering if there is a really big difference between the two models?  The 2.0GHz model seems fine for doing college homework, papers, power point, photo editing, video editing, web surfing, not a heavy gamer, I make podcasts and YouTube videos.  This is what I mainly do...  Can someone tell me if maybe I might have to get the 2.2GHz?  Thanks!

Spend the little more money for the 2.2Ghz your graphics potential is awesome and thus future proofs your machine a lot longer than 2.0 which the integrated and the discrete graphics are about the same lousy performance.
Also your resale value will be much higher and more willing buyers if you should ever need too.

    See the specs:

Compare with your model. If you are within 14 days of purchase you can exchange for the new model for the difference in price, if any. Be sure to have all the original packaging and your receipt.

  • How can I tell the differences between the new MacBook Pro with retina display and the old MacBook Pro with retina display by looking

I'm just wondering the differences between the new MacBook Pro with retina display which was just released in October 2013 and the old MacBook Pro with retina display.

Thank you for the reply! As you said they looked exactly the same, so I'm not able to tell the differences just by looking, right? I'm thinking to buy a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina display, but I'm not buying the MacBook in Apple Store, I'm buying it in other shops, how can know whether they are not selling me the old model of MacBook Pro with retina display?

  • Any difference between the RAM for 1.83GHz and 2.0 GHz Macbook Pro?

    Hi all,
I want to upgrade my 2.0GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro to 2GB of RAM. So far Crucial.com is my choice however I've noticed the difference in price (due to sale) for the 1.83GHz MBP and the 2.0GHz MBP:

    http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.asp?mtbpoid=B8539EC6A5CA7304
Could you guys confirm there is actuall no difference between the two memory models, and it's just a marketing ploy on Crucial's part?
    Thanks,
    Eric

The prices indicated on both links are the same. However, the answer to your question is that all MacBooks, MacBook Pros, Intel Minis, and Intel iMacs all use the same type and spec RAM. You will find the appropriate information in the computer's User Guide. It's also described in the Apple guide on how to install the RAM.

  • Difference between promotional macbook and the normal  priced macbook?

is there any difference between the promotional ones eg. back to sch promo..and the normal priced macbook? from what i heard there some difference in the component (maybe cheaper components?) they use in the promo macbooks..hope to enlighten me thanks..

If Apple were making a special MacBook for this promo it would actually cost Apple more from having to make a separate production run not to mention more in technical support.
The promo is a simple back to school promo. Nothing more.
