    Thanks and Regards

Oracle Apps Adapter can be used for many other products other than E-Business Suite (JD Edwards E1, OTM, and others).  The apps adapter was mainly used in ERP systems and was strong when you needed have added functionality other than just polling a db for a status / calling a stored procedure...  It could connect out to other business services, xml gateways and so-on.
From a technical aspect / development perspective I always thought of that the Oracle Apps Adapter simplifies the development but, may is not flexible. The App Adapter's strength is the services that are difficult to integrate with (business services, xml gateway). If you need to hook in to these types of services, use the APPS adapter. (Again like it is named the "Apps Adapter" its for interacting w/ other applications to enable real-time processing / functionality.
That being said the dbAdapter can be very powerful but, like it is named is database focused (to poll some table to know when to kick off other logic and enable real-time functionality through database interaction.
Looking at the Oracle 12C Roadmap I had heard that there is more planned for the Oracle Apps Adapter moving forward, especially as Anuj said in the "Financial Apps" side of the isle at Oracle. Who knows what is real and what isn't though =]
    Hope this helps!

  • What's the difference between the GT, GS, GX, GE and GP laptops?

I'm looking to buy a 15.6" laptop but nowhere on the MSI site can I find specific information on the differences between the various 'G' series.
    Can anyone help please?

Quote from: darkhawk on 07-June-14, 11:03:09
NOTE:This information is not updated, and can change depending on the products MSI releases....but GENERALLY speaking....
GT = high end Intel gaming laptop
GE = mid range Intel gaming laptop
GS = slim - high/mid range Intel gaming laptop
GX = high/mid range AMD gaming laptop (depending on game and your POV)
GP = slim - low range Intel gaming laptop
Now, this is just a quick summery.....
    For instance:
GT series has 2 x 2.5" HDD/SSD bays, and can come with a SuperRaid/SuperRaid2 adapter which allows the user of 2/3 mSATA SSD's in raid for a high speed drive, as well as a high end dedicated video card (GTX870 or GTX880)
GE series has a single 2.5" HDD/SSD bay, as well as 2 mSATA slots. Mid range dedicated video card (GTX860)
GS accepts 2 x mSATA drives, and has a mid range dedicated GPU (GTX850 I believe)
GX has a high end AMD dedicated video card (HD8870? Or whatever AMD's highest end card is now), and I'm not 100% sure what slots it comes with. I'm sure it has at least a single 2.5" HDD, but I'm not sure if it has 2, or mSATA sockets.
GP I think accepts a single 2.5" drive and that's it, and has a low end dedicated video card (GT840).
This is a quick summery, and do not take this information as being 100% correct. I might be wrong with some slight specs (usually noted), but what I do know is listed above.
oh not really GS range accepts 3 x msata on gs70 model from 2014, but if you buy one from 2013 then it only have 2x msata

  • What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and

What'z the difference between the Commercial Invoices and
Invoices/Excise Invoices? Also I understand that we can combine 2~3
invoices and can create one commercial invoice? If it is possible, how
    to create the same?
    cheers
    shalsa007....

    Hello,
A commercial invoice is a bill for the goods from the seller to the buyer. Commercial invoices are utilized by customs officials to determine the value of the goods in order to assess customs duties and taxes.
In general there is no standard form for a commercial invoice although they tend to contain many of the following features:
    •     seller's contact information
    •     buyer's contact information
    •     consignee's contact information (if it is different from the buyers)
    •     invoice date
    •     a unique invoice number
    •     sales terms (usually in incoterm format)
    •     payment terms
    •     currency of sale
    •     full quantities and description of merchandise (Generally this includes unit price and total price. Product descriptions should be consistent with the buyer's purchase order. Including the Harmonized System commodity codes can be helpful, especially in countries that are WTO members.)
Excise invoice “Original for Buyer copy”, whether  prices are inclusive or exclusive of excise duty.
The invoice in which the Excise duties are included.
As per Indian tax system, Excise duty (16%) is payable by each manufacturing unit on the value of manufactured goods / on the value added. The manufacturing plant is supposed to submit an excise duty report on fortnightly / monthly basis. Various registers (RG1, RG23A, RG23C, PLA) are maintained for that purpose, which record all the transactions including movement of goods, cenvat credit available and cash balance available.
In SAP, we use transaction j1id for configuration and j1iin, j2i7, j1i5, j2i5, j2i6, j1ip for creating, extracting and printing excise invoice.
    *Please reward if this helps**

Short of trying to then reverse-engineer the objects that are in the dump file (I believe Data Pump export files contain some XML representations of DDL in addition to various binary bits, making it potentially possible to try to scan the dump file for the object definitions), I would tend to assume that the export didn't include those type definitions.
Since it looks like you're trying to set up the sample schemas, is there a reason that you wouldn't just run the sample schema setup scripts on the destination database? Why are you using Data Pump in the first place?

  • Difference between the PI 7.1 and PI 7.0

    Hello all,
Please kindly give the differences between the PI7.1 and PI7.0.
Please don't mention the features of new PI 7.1as I already know the features and enhancements.
I need the differences between the version with comparing the their features.

    Hello Babu,
a)The message server and the enqueue server can be separated from the central instance (CI) to the ABAP SAP Central Services Instance (ASCS) in the ABAP stack
    also (recommended)
In SAP NetWeaver 7.1 ,Only ASCS is supported
b)SAP has changed the signatures of the relevant Java classes,So in these cases the Java coding effort should only be "mere syntax check".
    And...
    1. PI 7.0 is the part of Netweaver 2004s and PI 7.1 is key entity in eSOA.
    2. PI 7.1 have various mapping Enhancements as well as reusability of UDFs across the mappings etc. which is not available in PI 7.0
    3. PI 7.1 comes with the concept of folders for more flexibale and Organized way of developements.
4.Advanced adapter engine is used in PI 7.1, which have overcome the various communication related limitations of previous versions
5.High Volume support in PI 7.1

  • Difference between the Data Guard and Stand By

    Hi,
Can any one specify the difference between the Standy and Data Guarding.
Since are the Advantages of Data Guarding over the
    User Created Stand By Database.
    Thanks
    Pavan Kumar N

DataGuard is used to allow you to create and manage standby databases, so I'm not totally clear on your question. If you're using DataGuard, you're creating standby databases.
Are you talking about the difference between using DataGuard to manage your standby databases rather than writing your own scripts to manage your standby databases? If so, you've got cost issues-- DataGuard requires the enterprise edition, while you could write your own standby scripts using the standard edition. You've got support and testing issues-- if something goes wrong, you're on your own to debug your scripts. If you're using DataGuard, there is a variety of documentation available and a variety of options for support. Oracle has also invested quite a bit of time testing DataGuard with various failure scenarios-- it's likely that you wouldn't have that much time to test your own scripts. On a day-to-day basis, DataGuard provides integration with various monitoring utilities (i.e. Enterprise Manager) and provides a rather nice set of tables to view information about what's going on. DataGuard also provides functionality like the ability to automatically detect and resolve gaps in the archived log files that your scripts would not likely be written to handle.
And, of course, your scripts could only manage a physical standby database. DataGuard can manage both physical and logical standbys.

  • What is the difference between the generations of iPads?

I'm new to the world of the iPad.  I'm looking for a case for my new iPad and I keep seeing fits iPad 3rd and 4th generation and similar listings.  Just wondering what the differnce is between the genterations. I just have an iPad, not a mini or an iPad2 so I do know the difference in those, just not the generation classifications.  Please help!!

The dimensions are different between the various models:
    Dimensions
    1st generation:9.56 in (243 mm) (h)
    7.47 in (190 mm) (w)
    0.50 in (13 mm) (d)
    2nd generation:
    9.50 in (241 mm) (h)
    7.31 in (186 mm) (w)
    0.34 in (8.6 mm) (d)
    3rd & 4th generation:
    9.50 in (241 mm) (h)
    7.31 in (186 mm) (w)
    0.37 in (9.4 mm) (d)
Ports are also different sizes and in different locations among the models. It's best to buy a case that is guaranteed to fit your particular model.

What is the difference between the iTunes and Applestore?

itunes: is an application which runs in a pc and mac. it plays music, downloads apps, books for idevices(exept macs), syncs media contents in the computer to idevice, etc.
and the second one, you asked '' difference between itunes and applestore''.  i think you meant the app store instead the applestore.if it was apple store, it would be really silly because apple store is for buying apple products and accessories. while app store is a part of itunes. so let me say about both stores(app and apple), and you choose the desition.
app store: is a part of itunes, which is used to download apps(applications) of various generes for your idevice.
apple store: is a place where you buy your macs, ipods, iphone, ipad, and accessories for all of the products mentioned here in this answer.
hope my answer solves your different question.

What is the difference between the passcode on my iPhone 5 and a password?  I am locked out of my phone.

Not entirely sure what you are asking, but a passcode to unlock an iOS device is normally 4 digits long (so is a 4 digit code), though you can make it alphanumeric and longer (so effectively becomes a password).

There are a few nagging questions which I was not able to find in the forum hence i have to post a new question.
I am a little confused about the difference between the different clusters .
If i start with RFBLG i.e. the cluster for BSEG BSEC etc ,I can see that the tables which are part of this cluster
can be viewed through different methods like
    1) whr usd list for RFBLG
    2) dd02l table and give the required parameters there
now when I compare this with another so-called cluster PCL1 if find that PCL1 is not recognized as  a cluster
and also I am not able to see the same in dd02l table when i give PCL1 and the tabtype as cluster which I was able to see
for the RFBLG ,there are other tables similar to RFBLG .
    1) SO what is the difference between the RFBLG type of clusters and the PCLx type of cluster
    2) are pclx and rfblg..type of clusters same ?
    3) why does PCL1 shows that it is a transparent table ? where as rfblg shows in a diff way in se11
    4) i know we access data from PCL1 using import and export stmts ,DO OR CAN WE DO THE SAME FOR RFBLG
    5) I found that each and evry cluster table had diff fields ,this was kinda surprising for me as I had been thinking
that all cluster tables need to follow a certain rule ,SO WHO DECIDES THE FIELDS OF A TABLE CLUSTER ?
    6) PCL1 has the index button enabled ,which again I think is not according to the cluster table rules?how?
    7) I understand that we can save data in form of internal tables in the PCL1 cluster ,can we do the same in RFBLG ?
    8) Can I think on lines that PCL1 and RFBLG type of cluster are two totally different types of data dictionary objects
and the usage and implementation of both of them is different and that the design and the BASE of both of such objects
    is different .
I know this is a long list but I am sure that answers to these questions would really require some one who has really really work hard and invested a lot of time in understanding the dictionary system.I am awaiting a few answers ,few hints and a healthy discussion till we get them .
    Thanks ...

    Hello,
    1/
BSEG is a typical Cluster Table.
This means that the physical table BSEG does NOT exist in the database, physical data for BSEG is stored in the database (table) cluster RFBLG.
In ABAP however you can perform selects on BSEG (with all fields from the SAP repository structure, see SE11 on BSEG), during execution the SAP database layer will translate these statements to physical selects in the RFBLG database table, so in ABAP this is transparant.

PCL1, PCL2, ... are normal SAP transparent tables, however in HR they are often called HR cluster table.
Transparent tables are SAP objects where there is also a database table with the same name that contains the physical data.
However the PCL tables are somewhat different from normal transparent tables (data is compressed, external programs can not interpret the data, ...).
This means that in ABAP you can not use simple SQL statements to access data in PCL tables (because of compressed format).
In stead statements like EXPORT TO DATABASE and IMPORT FROM DATABASE need to be used.

  • Whats the difference between the Flash Player runtime and Adobe AIR runtime?

Hey all. I've been into coding for about 5 years now, but I'm a recent convert to Flash development. One of the questions I have at the moment is, considering that SWF files can be run by either Adobe Flash Player OR Adobe AIR, what's the real difference between the two runtime environments? What API's and Objects exist in one environment, but not the other?
Basically what I'm more or less trying to establish is, when would I want to develop an SWF for AIR, and when would I want to develop for Flash Player, considering that Flash Player can also execute locally (providing support for creating "desktop applications").
    Thanks in advance,
                               Jay.

Main Difference for the user: he also has to install the AIR runtime, that is about 15MB (Flash Plugin won`t do the job alone).
The market penetration for AIR is way below that of flash, so your user needs a good reason to install the Runtime
Also the System requirements are much more harder, you can`t use an Air application in XPSP1 for example.
As a rule of thumb you could say: Use Air, if you want to have the user something saved locally, with AIR you have the possibility to write any fileformat to hard disk, with flash you can only use so called Local shared objects

  • PM Order settlements - Difference between the amounts settled

    Hi All,
This is regarding the PM Order settlements.
Every month end finance team run KO8G and settle the PM Order costs for that period (month). In the process the Orders are settled using a variant, which captures all the orders that has changed/created during the focused period.
But in the report S_ALR_87013015 - List: Actual Debit/Credit there are balances for previous settlements and thereu2019s a difference between the amount settled and the debit/credit amounts.
When drilling gown we found that this is due to following reasons,
    1.     Some orders are not settled fully.
    2.     Equipments issued against a Order are returned after the settlement process
Ex: one Order has settled in Oct 2008 initially and fully in Jan 2009. However one material has been returned to stores in February 2009. Therefore a difference (cost of the material) between total actual cost (Dr Amount) and settled amount has been arisen.
The Orders of nature 1 will be captured and settled in the subsequent run of KO8G.
But my question is how can we address the orders of nature 2? Changing the settlement variant is one option.
Also appreciate if someone can explain the SAP-best practice of PM-Order settlements.
    Thanks,
    Thushantha.

    Hi Thushantha,
After returning the material to store check the actual cost of maintenance order. Once you fully settle the order means it becomes zero.
When you will return material to warehouse against maintenance order once again carry out settlement of maintenanc order then check for your nature 2.
