Difference between third party and drop shipment

Dear Gurus,
Could some one explain me the difference between a Third Party Order (TA) and a Drop Shipment Order (DR). I want to understand the process difference and the how the inventory is affected in both the types.
Thank You very much in advance.

  • Can any one tell me the difference between third party sales & intercompany

    Hai
can any one tell me the difference between third party sales & intercompany billing
    reg

    Hi,
In THIRD PARTY, Goods are sent to customer from the Vendor and no Delivery happens from Company Plant
In THIRD PARTY, We will Pay to the Vendor and Bills Customer.
In THIRD PARTY, the PR will be generated automatically from the Sales order
In INTERCOMPANY Process, Goods are sent to customer from the Supplying Company code  to which an order was placed from the Ordering Company code
In INTERCOMPANY,, Plant of the supplying company code will be assigned to the Ordering Sales Organisation
In INTERCOMPANY , We Bills the customer and settles to the SUPPLY COMPANY CODE
We will use two Pricing procedures, One Normal pricing and other is INTERCOMPANY pricing procedure.
    These are the Major differences.
Please check these and revert back if you need more details

  • Backup SQL Agent Jobs - whats the difference between "create to" and "drop to" using "script job as"?

    Hi,
This should be straightforward, but being new to SQL Server 2008, can someone advise the difference between "create to" and "drop to" using "script job as"?
    Thanks
    IT Support/Everything

    hello,
"CREATE TO" create a CREATE statement for the job, e.g. to execute this script on a other server to create the same job there.
"DROP TO" means you get a script to delete an existing job.

  • Sync data between third-party contacts and calendar apps, and the native apps, in 10.9.3+?

I've had to refrain from updating my Mac Pro from 10.8.5 to 10.9 owing to the removal of SyncServices.  I then read that SyncServices was re-introduced on a limited basis in 10.9.3.
It seems unlikely, but I'd like to know whether or not SyncServices in 10.9.3 re-enables the syncing of data between third-party contacts & calendar apps and the native apps, and thereby enables syncing of contacts and calendar info between third-party apps and iOS devices over USB via iTunes.  This is the method I use exclusively by choice in 10.8.5, and I will not change it to a cloud-based solution under any circumstances.
If it is not possible, is there a third-party workaround?  My calendar app on the Mac Pro at the moment is BusyCal, syncing with Week Cal on the iPhone, but I'll happily buy a new combo of apps if it means I can upgrade to Mavericks and retain USB syncing.
EDIT: a solution which permits syncing of a third-party calendar app on the Mac Pro with a third-party calendar app on the iPhone over an ad-hoc wireless network would also be acceptable, I suppose.

Well, that's pretty disappointing.  I guess Apple believes Internet is free and everywhere.

  • Is there any dependency between third-party adapter and XI system service?

    Hi Friends,
I'm developing a thrid-party JCA adapter(deployed under sap.com) on SAP XI? In the adapter, it will use "ModuleProcessor" EJB system service.
I found sometimes if the JCA adapter cannot be started correctly, the other system service also not started. And checking the log, I found the reason the JCA adapter not started, is because the "ModuleProcessor" EJB system service is not started.
so just want to know is there any dependency between third-party adapter and XI system service?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jason

    Hi soo.richard,
You say it could be intruders cutting in - same problem/solution as for any network I think. Access can be password protected or access limited via MAC address filtering. I'm not sure how Apple Tv works with a hidden SSID but that would be another option.
Airplay itself can be password protected through the airplay settings.
I'm not sure if Apple TV works with other authentication such as a password but maybe the manual will assist with this?
    Hope this helps.

  • Difference between business service and business system in SLD

    hi all,
i m very new to XI. can anybody tell me that what is the basic difference between Business Service and Business Systems?
Is it necessary to use them? and if yes then when to use what?
    Thanx.
    Regards,
    Kunjal......

    Hi Kunjal,
In SAP XI every system in your landscape with which you are interfacing is defined as Service.
The service can be your Business service or Business system.
Generally SAP systems are referred to Business system and you define them in the SLD before you import them.
The Business service is a logical name referring to any system in your landscape.
To communicate with any third party application you need to create communication channels which are associated to your service.

  • Difference between SAP SLD and SAP Management console

    Hello,
It seems that both System landscape directory and SAP management console have some overlapping features. The services can be started or stopped in both. Is it true? Does anyone know the difference between these 2 and where does Solution manager fit in?
    Thanks
    Shailik

    Hi,
SAP SLD  is the central information provider in a system landscape.this contains both Component information and Landscape description.COMPONENT Info in sense all the sap products and components along with their versions, And also third party products also.LANDSCAPE desc in sense the description of all the systems in particular landscape.
Example:This can shows exact idea for you.Components like CAF,Webdynpo(WD-java),BPM etc info. And the host names,Message server ports etc. Here we dont have start/stop functionality.
SAP MC provides a common framework for centralized system management. It allows you to monitor and perform basic administration tasks on the SAP system centrally, thus simplifying system administration. Using the SAP MC you can
1.Monitor and control (start, stop, or restart) the SAP system and its instances with a single tool
    2.Monitor system alerts
3.Display the list of all access points to an SAP system etc.
We can see difference by looking into http://<host name>:<port>/index.html
Look and feel are also differ.

  • Difference between Synchronization Wrappers and Unmodifiable Wrappers

    Hi,
I am not clear abt. the "Difference between Synchronization Wrappers and Unmodifiable Wrappers" in Collection implementation.
How Unmodifiable Wrappers make read-only access to your data structures?
Is it thru deep cloning of objects? If that is the case where this is mostly being used?

You might find it useful to look at the Collections class source code in src.zip.
    It will answer both questions.
The Unmodiferable wrapper just a wrapper, no cloning occurs. Only the collection wrapped is protected. If you have collections inside collections they will not be protected.
The unmodifiable wrapper would be used to ensure a collection is not modified by third party code. It could be used if you return a Collection to ensure the caller does not 'accidently' modify it.

  • Can Anybody explain me the difference between  a A2X and a A2A Service?

Can Anybody explain me the difference between  a A2X and a A2A Service

I dont think A2X refers to b2b Scenario as there is a big difference between B2B and A2A, this is quite a debatable arena. In the present case A2X can be where the application under consideration is communicating with an unknown third party application of which the only details we have are the field data to be sent/recieved etc. Its used more to describe a third party app, so its to be considered as an x-App. can be any j2ee app or .net app, the X here is used as a variable to denote the unknown till it becomes known..in which case the documents start referring to it as A2A.....
    Hope that helps

  • Difference between Regular Reversal and out-of-sequence reversal

Can anyone help me understand the difference between Regular Reversal and out-of-sequence reversal? How does the system behave differently i these two reversals?
    Thanks
    Charlene

Sorry for the long reply, as here's some information that I have on Voids and Out-of-Sequence reversals.
On occasion, SAP payroll results can be created in error. In these cases, the payment never goes to the employee and the payroll result should never have been created. These cases are considered “reverse payments” in the off cycle workbench.
There are two forms of “reverse payments”: voids and out of sequence reversals. Notes 160515, 159701 and 337626 should be reviewed carefully.
An out of sequence reversal occurs when third party remittance has been run for the payroll result, or when the payroll result is not the most recent result in the cluster directory for the employee. Wage type /568 (total reversal amount) is created in the reversed result for posting purposes. Wage type /571 replaces any /559 wage types in the reversed result and the BT cluster is cleared.
Wage type /568 is created for posting purposes and it will not appear in any retros over the reversed result.
An out of sequence reversal should not occur when the employee receives the money unless the actual check is returned or the direct deposit is reversed by the bank.  Because of the tax when paid principle, even if an employee writes a check back to the company for the overpaid amount, this should be processed by retro master data changes and the employee check should be used to relieve any claims in the most recent period.  The claims processing guide gives details on how to relieve claims. Out of sequence reversals depend on third party remittance but not on posting to FI.
/568 - Total reversal amount - If you cancel a payroll result that A. Has had payments made to third parties or B. is other than the last one.  This is considered an out of sequence reversal.  If these two conditions do not apply, a true void occurs.     Wage type /568 is the total reversal amount.  Should be the sum of /569, /570 and /571.
/571 - Reversal of /559 - Wage type /571 is the reversal of /559 (bank transfer).  /571 will record the amount from wage types /559.  The /559 wage types will be deleted from the cluster that was reversed.  Wage type /571 will have the same sign as wage      type /559.
In payroll reporting, the reversal amounts are evaluated in the next payroll period. The same is true for posting to FI.
The out of sequence reversal should have been accompanied by a master data change that forced a retro via infotype 0003.
This retro will fix FI postings in the posting process that accompanies the retro run.For this reason, out of sequence reversals do not need an entry in table T52OCG for processing by the off cycle batch process.
Regardless of if a ‘reverse payment’ is a void or an out of sequence reversal, there should be an associated master data change to perform this process properly. There had to be a reason that the payment should not have been made and this reason needs to be reflected in the employee’s master data. Both voids and out of sequence reversals can occur before or after the master data change, but the safest method is to perform the master data change first to ensure it occurs before the next payroll is processed.
In payroll reporting, voids are bypassed in the period for which they were originally paid. This means that if a payroll report is run for a specific period containing a void, the voided result will not be picked up. In FI, voids are bypassed in the period in which they were voided. This is possible because the off cycle batch process already reconciled any incorrect posting that occurred before the payroll result was voided.
A voided payroll result occurs when no money was given to the employee and no money was remitted through third party remittance.  A void is simply a check or direct deposit that was created in error.  The payroll control record was already exited and the check or direct deposit was already processed, therefore the payroll result can not be recalculated in the original period.
A void can only occur if the payroll result is the most recent result for the employee.
If the payroll result is not the most recent result, an out of sequence reversal occurs by default. It is irrelevant whether the transfer to FI has occurred or not with relation to voids.  Some OSS notes state that posting to FI does matter and these notes are in error.

  • Difference between config toll and visual admin

    HI all,
Please let me know all Difference between config toll and visual admin.
and Purpose and how to start.
    Thanks & Regards,
    satish k

    Hi Satish,
SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 provides three basic tools for administration u2013
    Visual Administrator,
    Console Administrator, and
Config Tool (both Visual and Console).
There are some other tools namely DBTool, Library Tool, RMIC Tool, Shutdown Tool, and User Tool also used.
    First part
Difference between config toll and visual admin:-Visual Administrator is a graphical user interface (GUI) that enables administration of the whole cluster, of the cluster nodes, and all modules running on them.On the other hand with the help of Config Tool you are able to add and configure SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 cluster elements.Again Config Tool can be used without a running SAP J2EE Engine 6.20. The only requirement is to have the server installed on the local machine.
Visual Administrator is written in the Java programming language and can be run in any environment where a Java Virtual Machine is available. On the other hand Config Tool is XML-based, which enables third-party visualizations to be developed or integrated as part of a more complicated configuration system.
Visual Administrator enables remote monitoring and management of the cluster, and for each cluster element, and enables the system administrator to monitor all managers and services working on each node in a single GUI & its online.cofig tool on the otherhand offline.
    Second part Purpose
"Visual Administrator":-with the help of this tool you can able to login & logout from the server. It gives you all the details regarding different services running in your SAP server. As already mentioned that with the help of VA we enables administration of the whole cluster, of the cluster nodes, and all modules running on them.
"Config Tool":-Config Tool enables you to run the server in remote debug mode.
Again Config Tool enables you to add dispatcher and server nodes to the SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 Cluster. With the help of config tool we are enable to modification of service or manager module properties.
    Third part Start procedure

To make things clear, here are two small examples that show how nasty locals and value properties can be to the naive programmer.
    - Open the diagram of the race condition.vi before running it and try to predict what will be the values of the two counters after the third run.
    - Use the Compare Locals Properties and Wires.vi to find out how slow locals and value properties can be (times 1000+).
This being demonstrated, I must add that I use globals and value properties quite often, because they are often very convenient

  • Difference between open loop and closed loop mode when finding the index on a stepper motor axis.

I have a test system which uses a PXI-7352 motion controller with a MID-7602 stepper motor drive to position a 200 step/revolution stepper motor with an attached 1000 line encoder.  The MID-7602 is configured for 64 microsteps per step, giving 12,800 microsteps and 4000 encoder counts per revolution.  The system is controlled using LabView 7.1 and NI-Motion 6.13.  To home the motor, I've defined a sequence in MAX which first finds the reverse limit switch and then moves forward to the encoder index pulse.
When finding its reference in open loop mode, the system its reference at the same microstep each time.  When findings its reference in closed loop mode, the system finds its reference somewhere within about a 20 microstep wide range.
I hope somebody out there with more experience with this controller can describe the difference between finding the encoder index in open loop mode and finding the encoder index in closed loop mode.
    Thanks,
    Mark Moss

    Hello Mark,
I suspect that the behavior you are experiencing has today
with the resolution difference between your encoder and your
microstepping.  Let me illustrate with an
    example:
    Example Setup
    Stepper
    Motor
    NI
    Motion Controller
    10
steps per encoder pulse (Every 10 steps the controller gets an encoder
pulse, therefore positions 0-9 all appear to be 0 to the controller)
    The
system has a maximum of 3 pull in moves set
    Open Loop Scenario
    The
system is commanded to go to position 9.
    The
    controller sends out 9 pulses.
    The
    motor moves to position 9.
    Closed Loop Scenario
    The
system is commanded to go to position 9.
    The
    controller sends out 9 pulses.
    The
    motor moves to position 9.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is still at position 0
because it has not received an encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 0, it sends another 9 pulses
as its first pull in move.
    The
    motor moves to position 18.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is at position 10 because
it has only received one encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 10, it sends1 reverse pulse
as its second pull in move.
    The
    motor moves to position 17.
    The
controller checks its position and sees that it is at position 10 because
it has only received one encoder pulse.
    Because
the controller thinks it is still at position 10, it sends and additional
single reverse pulse as its third pull in move.
    The
motor moves to its final position of 16.
I believe something similar is happening with your
application as it looks for the index pulse.
Because the controller does not compensate for what it perceives as
position error in open loop mode, the motor always goes to the same commanded
position.  In closed loop mode, the motor
is bouncing around inside the single index encoder pulse trying to find a
    certain position.
There are several recommendations I can make towards
    correcting this behavior.  These
recommendations are in order of effectiveness:
    Setup
your system so that there are more encoder counts per revolution than
    steps per revolution.
    Turn
off pull-in moves by setting them to 0 in MAX.
    Use an
    open loop configuration.
    Play
around with the pull in window in MAX.
    Regards,
    Luke H

  • Third Party and Individual Purchase Order

<b>Can anybody please send me the steps to configure the Return Process for both Third Party and Indvidual Purchase Orders.</b>

    dear sunil
    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
in third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
the processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing:-
if a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
when you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
you process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.
