Difference between Weather App & Weather web page
For example, in my weather app I have Breckenridge Colorado. It says Sunday's weather will be Sunny and 50 Degrees. When I click on the "Y!" it takes me to a page that says that Sunday's weather will be Snowy and 30 degrees. Slight difference.
So I checked weather.com, which says that Sunday's weather will be Snowy and 30 degrees.
So I guess I can't trust the Weather App anymore. It's too bad, I liked it, it was convenient.
Or do you have any other ideas?
Any way I can submit a bug to Apple?

I use the Accuweather app, not perfect but does a good job.

What's the difference between mac app store, app store, iTunes store?
what's the difference between mac app store, app store and whatever itunes stores out there?
If you saying that the App Store on my phone and the App Store section of itunes on my computer are the same store,
It is.
could you please be kind enough to show me how to reach the 724 apps on my computer (just to look at, not to buy) that I get on my iPhone when I type: "chinese transla".
If I search the iTunes Store for "chinese translation", I get dozens of apps listed. Make sure you're searching the iTunes Store, not your library. The search box should say "search store". Also confirm that both your iPhone and iTunes on your computer are pointed to the same country's iTunes Store. Different countries' stores carry different items, so it's possible your computer is pointed to a different country's store. Look at the bottom of the iTunes window and make sure the round flag icon is the one for your country.
Maybe the App Shopper has all the same apps that are on my phone? I just looked, they say they have 1,000 apps. Is this a safe site to buy from?
App Shopper is not a store. The only store you can buy iPhone apps from is the iTunes Store. App Shopper is just a compendium site that lists apps that are available in the iTunes Store. When you click to buy an app, you're taken to the iTunes Store.

What is the difference between RFC vs. Web service ?
What is the difference between RFC vs. Web service ?
Hi,
Remote Function Call (RFC) is the standard SAP interface for communication between SAP systems. RFC calls a function to be executed in a remote system.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6f/1bd5b6a85b11d6b28500508b5d5211/content.htm
A 'Web service' (also Web Service) is defined by the W3C as "a software system designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network". Web services are frequently just Web APIs that can be accessed over a network, such as the Internet, and executed on a remote system hosting the requested services.

RE:difference between application server and web application server
hi,
i am a fresher to SAP.please tell me the difference between application server and web application server so that my doubt will be clarified.Hi,
the SAP Web Application Server is the reliable, open standard-based application server from SAP. It supports both J2EE and ABAP, and serves as the underlying infrastructure for all new and upcoming SAP solutions, like SAP R/3 Enterprise, SAP Portal, SAP Exchange Infrastructure, and all other SAP components.
The SAP Web Application Server is not a new product, it is the natural evolution of proven SAP application server technology formerly known as SAP Basis. It provides the platform to develop, execute, and operate Web applications and Web services as well as traditional SAP GUI based applications
if it helpful rewards points are appreciated -

Differences between ITS based and web dynpro based ESS
Hi all,
What are the main differences between ( in functionality ) for ITS based and web dynpro based ESS.
I know a few
Underlying technology
ITS ESS had inbox concept, where as web dynpro based ESS/MSS has UWL concept for approvals.
The time statemment in ITS uses smart form while we can use Adobe document services for time statement in ESS 2004.
Funcitonality
There was not collective time approvals option In ITS ESS ( not even in ESS 2004 ) but ther is a collective time apporvals in ESS 2004s
Am not pretty mich intrested in look and feel, or the overview page concept but any additional functionality and a shift in the technology used.
Please add.
regards
Sam

Creating a Simple IOS / Android APP with web pages?
Hi all,
Recently I created a simple backend database driven website for a clients customers to see their info. The client wants to have his own "Company App", primarily for the marketing aspects. I was thinking that it might be possible to have a super simple basic app just showing/using the web pages that we already have.
I already made some pages with custom tailored css to iphone and could expand this concept to other models - android etc.
I have never tried to make an ios or andriod app before, but...
Q: Would it be possible to create a simple app DEMO that can display/use the css iphone page I already made? If I wanted to look more into this (and even work with other dev's) where would I start?Mobile Apps are standalone pieces of mobile software that you design, compile with Phone Gap and then upload to Google Play or Apple's App store. From there mobile users can purchase (most are free) download & install apps on their device. Apps include just about everything from GPS & traffic info, to sports, games, entertainment, health & fitness tracking. You name it, it's probably out there. A mobile app is not a web site, although the app may indeed be tied to the creator's web site so he can sell more apps. But an app is just an app. A web site is a web site. 2 different things.
If you want to explore Mobile App development, I recommend this introductory tutorial
Create & package Mobile app with DW, jQuery Mobile & PhoneGap

Difference between Next Set and Next Page
Hi,
does anyone know what is the difference between Next Set Template and Next Page Template in a Report Template?
Thanks,
Gari. When you have a report with say 15 pages you can split it into a set like:
page 1 -5 , 6 - 10, 11 -15
When you select the next set HTML DB wil go from
1,2,3,4,5 [next set] to 6,7,8,9,10 [next set]
When you go to the next page is just shows the next page. You can go from page 5 to 6 with the next page and still end up on the next set :-).

"Which career is most rewarding one in terms of . . . Least amount of work"
"which career will be . . . easy to learn"
Since "easy" and "least work" seem important to you, I'd suggest a career in something besides IT. I could make some specific suggestions but run the risk of insulting people who work in those areas. -
Hi Experts,
I would like to know the differences between these two versions in simple words. I tried both for 7.9.6.1 I didn't got any DAC installed, but for 7.9.5.1 DAC is installed. I don't understand why............can any one clarify my doubt............
Thanks in advance,
NDAC has been de-coupled from the OBIA releases and currently stands at version 10.1.3.4.1: Oracle Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console v10.1.3.4.1

Difference between OBI apps and OFSAA
Hi,
In my next project I need to work on OFSAA, so I did some google and found some related topics like OBI apps and OFSAA. Can anyone put some light on the differences among two. What I got if from some blogs/article about these terms are like:
OFSAA: Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure is the complete end-to-end Business Intelligence solution that is easily accessible via your desktop. Its single interface lets you tap your company's vast store of operational data to track and respond to business trends.
OBI Apps: It is a complete end to end BI environment covering BI platform (BI server including ETL and reporting tool) and pre-packaged analytic applications (pre-built reports, dashboards, alerts using OBIEE).
As from the above definition, I can not find out the major and distinctive differences between the two so could anyone help me in putting some light to these terms.
Your help would really be appreciated.
Thanks.I believe these are 2 completely separate and unrelated systems/solutions. OFSSA is an acquisition Oracle made ONLY for pure play BANKING software. It has its own technology and metadata stack. This includes Risk Management, etc.
Check here for details: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28033_01/books/Infrastructure/OFSAAI_7.3_User_Manual.pdf
OBIA is a pre packged DW solution from Oracle for ALL ERPs (PSoft, EBS, JDE, etc) for multiple industry areas (Financials, Human Resources, CRM, etc)
Oracle will probably try to integrate OFSSA with more Oracle technologies in the coming future (FMW, Exalytics, etc). For now, these are 2 unrelated solutions and systems.
Pls mark correct if this is helpful -
Is there a difference between apple app store and the mac app store
i keep hearing about the mac app store, is there a difference between that and the regualr app store i use for iphone
Depends upon to whom you are speaking. There is the iTunes Store, sometimes called the App Store, from which Apple vends apps for iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Then there is the Mac App Store, MAS, also sometimes referred to as the App Store rather than the Mac App Store where Apple vends software for Mac computers.
