Difference if connecting to external digital receicer via mono to RCA cable and coaxial ca

Please tell the difference if connecting from Audigy 2 ZS to external digital receicer via (/8 inch) mono to RCA cable and coaxial cable (from front panel with SPDIF out/in).
Where can i get this /8 inch mono to RCA cable? I dont find it listed in the accessories of creative website.
Thanks

There is absolutely no difference as far as sound quality goes, as both are digital connections. You can buy a minijack-to-RCA cable at radio shack or any similar store. Just ask for a cable to connect an iPod to a home stereo; this is the same adaptor that you need.

I am trying to hook my MacBook Pro to a Sony Bravia TV via DVI to HDMI cable and the TV will not recognize the signal. I have used the same setup with three other TV's, each a different brand with no problem. Any ideas?

Is the TV set to take input from the HDMI connection?
On your computer, if you open the Displays preferences and do not see an Arrangement tab (or there is an Arrangement tab that shows only a single monitor) then there is something physically wrong with your connection.  Try clicking Detect Displays just to see if the computer can now sense the presence of the connection.  Check your connections.
If you do have an Arrangement tab, and it shows two screens, then click Gather Windows to bring the TV's Displays preferences on to your main screen if the TV is not yet showing an image.  Set the proper resolution (probably 720p, 1080i, or 1080p).  Set the refresh rate (probably 60Hz) if that preference is shown.  You should see a picture at this point.  I  recommend turning off mirrored displays if it is enabled.

  • I have an ATV 1 which is connected to my Bose Lifestyle System.  I just expanded the system and connected a second AMP for the expansion.  Can I connect the ATV 1 to the aux jacks (RCA Cables) of the expansion amp?  Thanks

I have an ATV 1 which is connected to my Bose Lifestyle System.  I just expanded the system outdoors using a second Bose System Amp.  Does anyone know if I'm able to connect my ATV 1 to the Bose expansion module in addition to keeping it connected to my main Lifestyle System using RCA cables?  The new amp has RCA input jacks for auxiliary inputs.  Thank you.

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

  • Connecting an external digital trigger to a DAQPad 6015

Hi. Im trying to externally trigger a series of concentration probes that I have connected through the DAQPad 6015 and on to LabView.
I do not have any external ports on my DAQ device for receiving a trigger signal and so I am trying to connect it through the screw ports that are available.
However, I have never done anything like this before and have come a little unstuck.
I just want the probes to start acquiring information once they receive a 5V rising edge signal from an external piston.
Any help that you could give me regarding connecting the system up, would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nial

    Hi Neil,
You need to setup triggering in your LabVIEW application and then use the trigger line you have setup in your application to wire in the trigger signal. We usually use PFI0, Attached is an example program that reads in 5 voltages from a DAQpad-6015 on Dev4 and then triggers on PFI0 on a rising digital edge.
To find the pinout of the 6015, you need to go to MAX >> Devices and interfaces >> NI-DAQmx >> DAQpad 6015
    Right-click select Device Pinouts.
    Hope this helps

  • Why can't I connect iPod to car stereo with red/white RCA cables?

I have red/white/yellow RCA (I think that's the name of them) plugs in my car stereo and I bought a cable to connect it to my iPod. It's the small plug (3.5 I think) on one end and a split 'Y' that's red and white on the other. The people and my car dealer connected a cell phone that is also a music player to it and it works, but it won't work with the iPod connected. The dealer thought it should be able to work with my iPod, but doesn't know why it won't. Are iPods able to connect to a car stereo this way. Is there another special cable that I need to get?

No, I should think that would work fine. I have a splitter like that connected to my hifi and no issues...you would want to make sure the volume on the iPod is up all the way; I don't know what car stereo you have, but possibly it's a setting on there that isn't right?

  • HT1386 I have connected  my iPad2 to my iMac with a USB cable, and synched my photos.  I want to synch my music from iTunes but get this message:  "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPad "Marion Blackmer's iPad" will be remo

Sorry, I put my question in the wrong place.  I'm afraid I will lose all my photos, etc., on the iPad.

To import your photos to iPhoto, open the app on oyur computer, then connect your iPad. wait for it to show up on the left toolbar and you can select all and import them to your iPhoto library. Drag and drop it to your desktop or wheverever you want them. Is it just photos you wanted to import?

  • I just connect, I just connect mi iPad to the tv with an original cable and i canot see anything in the tv

    Why i cannot see anything?

    It still works for me.
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • Can i connect an external signal generator to the NI7344 to...

Can i connect an external signal generator to the NI7344 to use its
PID characteristics to precisely control the output
I am using the flex motion board (NI7344) to control the force output
of a linear motor. Using contouring and buffer operations i have
successfully created a system which can output a controlled force
which sinusoidal in form. I can achieve a reasonable output for
waveforms of 10Hz, the use of higher frequencies is limited by the
contouring operation ( a frequency of 10 Hz means i can only describe
one period of a sine wave with 10 points ( 10ms between each point =
10Hz). Can i therfore connect an external anologue wave generator to
the NI7344 use and use its PID characteristics to output wave
    forms of
higher frequency ??? .....could i output an anolgue wave form from an
E-series DAQ via the RTSI cable to the NI7344 and control this ???.any
ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

    Duncan,
You can use a DAQ card to output an analog waveform, but it will be a software call not part of an onboard program. RTSI can be used to pass clocks and trigger signals, so if you want to route a clock signal to do the control you could.

  • I am having an issue with connecting my external hard drive to my airport time capsule.

I just recently purchased the new AirPort Time Capsule.  The network set-up easily.  However, when I connected my external hard drive (via USB) to it, the external hard drive does not show up in my Finder and I am otherwise unable to access the external hard drive from any computer connected the the network.  When I plug the external hard drive in directly to my iMac, the external hard drive is recognized right away and I am able to access all folders.  Any tips?

Check to make sure that the drive is formatted in Mac OS Extended Journaled or FAT32.
If the drive is formatted correctly and recognized by the Time Capsule, it will appear when you open AirPort Utility and click on the Disks tab.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit
Click the Disks tab at the top of the next page
If the drive is formatted correctly and not recognized, you will likely need to use a powered USB hub with the drive....even if the drive has its own power supply, since the USB port on the Time Capsule tends to be underpowered.

  • Loading Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via XI into R/3

    Hi,
I received an Invoice XML IDoc with digital signature via Mail (for test purposes) and want to load it via XI into an R/3 systeme.
My idea is to load the Invoice XML IDoc file via the File Sender Adapter into XI and send it to the R/3 system via the IDoc Inbound adapter.
Due to the digital signature the file looks like this:
    0‚ S      *†H†÷
        ‚ D0‚ @   1 0       +      0‚ '      *†H†÷
        ‚   ‚   ‚ –0‚ ’0‚ û      etc.
When I load the file like this with the File Sender Adapter, an error message occurs in the XI Monitoring as the XML Parser cannot read the file due to the digital signatur (as expected).
Has anybody an idea how I can configure the File Sender Adapter Communication Channel to be able to load only the XML IDoc and ignore the digital Signature strings?
Thanks in advance for your support.

do use the second way you need:

  • How do I connect Macbook Air to Macbook via ethernet crossover cable?

    Hi all,
For the life of me, I'm having a lot of troubles connecting my Macbook Air to Macbook, here is what I've done so far:
    1. Turned on sharing in System preferences on both systems and given "read and write" access to "myself", "users" and "everyone".
    2. Then connected a ethernet cable to both macbook and macbook air (via original Apple USB ethernet)
    3. When I go to Finder > Shared on both systems, they say cannot open drop box insufficient privileges.
Please someone link to step by step tutorial of Mac OS X 10.5 sharing through ethernet cable or correct me on what I'm doing wrong, and I don't have firewire cable otherwise things would've easier .
    Thanks in advance!

You are probably over thinking the problem.
Do not use a crossover cable. Just connect the two machines directly with a standard ethernet cable and they will auto assign ip addresses and be accessible to each other. The ethernet chips in both machines will detect the cable, etc and it "just works".
Also your sharing settings do not need to be that open. I would recommend to pulling them back so that you are not giving the world access to your machine.

  • Is there a way to connect an external drive to an iPad retina?

I'd like to connect my external hard drive straight to my iPad retina and just wondered if it can be done and if so how?

As James said, you can use something like the Seagate Wireless Plus. But underatand that the iPad does not have a user accessible file system like on a computer. To use this HDD, you must use Seagate's app and it is designed only for media like photos, videos, and music. It is not usable for documents and other files.

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro, quad core, RAM maxed at 16gb, 250 SSD, and SSHD to replace optical drive, but wanted to know if there was a way to add an external graphics card via Thunderbolt for more screens and faster work in VIDEO editing on-the-go?!?!
Is this possible? can anyone give me any advice that would help me.
I DO have a 2006 Mac Pro that I've also maxed out and it's STILL a BEAST and i love using it... but wanted to see how i could increase my macbook pro too, seeing it can run mavericks and ALL my adobe CC apps too.

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.
