Difference in activity types values
Hi,
I have an issue that, the activity type values in the confirmation screen of process order is coming different as from the master recipe of the process order.

I am really sorry ...Some mistakes....Please check the following thread.
I have an issue that , the activity type values in the confirmation screen of process order is coming different than from the master recipe of the process order.
In recipe,
MACHIN - 48 H
LABOUR - 4 H
POWER - 82 KWH
In confirmation screen,(tab-quantity/activity)
Planned for confirmation
MACHIN - 360 H
LABOUR - 360 H
POWER - 360 KWH
It seems that the value(360) is coming from the pooled capacity(CM03-standard overview,
from 28/01/2010 to 11/02/2010 , 15 days , 24*15 = 360 ).
How does this happen?
Any changes in the customization?
Regards,
Jish.

What are the difference between Activity types & SKFs
Dear Friends
Can any body help me regarding, what are the main differences between Activity Types & Statistical Key Figures(SKFs).
Thanks, in AdvanceHi Prabhakar,
Both are used as tracing figures. The major difference is that Activity type has price on its own and its gets summed up at the time of allocation. The sum figures debited to the receiving cost object and credited to sending cost object. Activity type cannot stand alone.
But it is not the case with SKF. SKF are only used as tracing factors and do not have price unlike activity type.
Example
In the case of activity allocation of Labour hours, the activity type of Labour with price shall be used.
In the case of statistical figure, take the example of Canteen expenses and its allocation between the Cost objects on the basis of head count of each cost object. :
Hope this answers to your query! -
Difference between Activity Types & SKFs
Hi SAP Gurus,
Could someone tell me the difference between Activity Types & Statistical Key Figures (with examples).
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
SangeetaDear all,
Please let me rephrase/extend a bit what was stated so far:
Statistical key figures can be also understood as properties/attributes of a cost center being an "object": area, number of cars, headcount,... They can be used for descriptive/statistical purposes but mostly they act as indexes in cost center allocations. For example, an invoice for energy consumption is booked on one "collective" cost center and then alocated to other CCs e.g. by number of employees.
Activity types are used to valuate typical cost center activities. Amongst other purposes, they are used for direct activity allocations to PP orders where indirect overheads are not suitable. Another purpose is to reallocate internal activities between cost centers to avoid intracompany invoicing. As example, Engineering supports sales dept. with some special drawings. This activity is valuated per hour and used to debit the receiving CC via TC KB21N.
Result of both SKF and AT postings is in crediting the sender -> cost center over/underabsorption.
Kindly check also http://scn.sap.com/thread/1067453 and http://www.erpgreat.com/financial/what-is-activity-type-and-statistical-key-figure.htm
please rate as helpful if really helpful -
Dear All,
In routing i have maintained 2 activity type and for the first activity i have given 1 hr and and for the second activity field is blank.
but while doing confirmation both the activity value are shown as 1 hr. How can i make the second field blank, though i have not given any value in routing for second activity system takes the same value of first activity.
regards,
Joseph.Dear Ranjith,
The activity timing is calculated correctly with the formulas given, but how the same values are coming for the second activity..?

Activity Type reporting in REM.
Hi PP Gurus,
The requirement is to club Activity types with Alternate activity description. We used AFRU table to extract confirmed activity type values from REM backflush and table TCROT to take the description of Alternate activity types. But whenever we are trying using ABAP Query (SQVI) using table join conditions system is giving some Warning Error message.
How could we rectify this problem. Further comments in this context are most welcome.
Thanks & Regards,
Abu ArbabHi Rajesha,
Replying late due to some health problems.
But it is the requirement, what best can be to rectify this requirement?
Thanks & Regards,
Abu Arbab
Hi Rajesha,
Thanks for your kind reply.

Activity types/ PMAT?
Hi,
I am new to EAM world. Could you guys help me understanding the differences between activity types and PM Activity types?Dear Alex,
Controlling (CO): Activity type:
Unit in a controlling area that classifies the activities performed in a cost center.
Example:
Activity types in production cost centers are machine hours or finished units.
Plant Maintenance (PM): Maintenance activity type
A key for the type of maintenance activity provided.
Activities are divided into repairs, shutdowns, regular activities, inspections and so on.
In cost evaluations, for example, total costs or number of orders for each technical object, you can classify data according to maintenance activity type.
Hopes this is useful

Activity type is mandatory: enter value between 01 and 07
Hi guys,
I would like to ask you for help..
Recently I updated the App CRM Sales to 2.0.3
Now, when I try to create an activity/task in IPhone(IOs6), it shows me this error "Activity type is mandatory: enter value between 01 and 07".
Do I need to apply any SAP note?
Does anybody have any idea?
Regards,
Eder.Hi Masayuki,
Thanks again for you help.
So, When I create an Activity/Task in CRM Backend I don´t have problem. I can see in my mobile device (Iphone).
The problem is when I try to create a new activity in App CRM Sales (Iphone).
I think that there is some obligatory field in CRM Backend, but that in App CRM there isn´t to filled in it.
Thanks, -
1th Activity type confirmed copy value into 2th Activity type:
Hi Gurus.,
I had a problem in production order confirmed (PP-PI), COR6 transaction
I need what 1th Activity type confirmed (value) are copied in 2th Activitiy type cofirmed inside the one order production, so, both value corfimed are equal and the same time, I had customization all the parameters in resources who standard value key, Formule for processing capacity requirements in concordance with standard value key and the calculation of costs of a work center's activity type.
But in the cofirmation Activity (COR6) the user´s key put Quantity in first Activity manually and execute (enter), and this first quantity activity don´t population the second field activity type.
Insite the Resource the costs formule is:
Activity type one: ZPP001
Activity type two: ZPP001
Capacity calculation formule: ZPP001.
What happen about this fault?
Best Regards.,
Julio César VillegasHi,
You do not get Second Activity same as first Activity in this scenario.
When we give value in First Activity manually for say about 10 Hrs, it doesn't copy to Second Activity.
As you said Activity 1 and Activity 2 are have same activity types and formulaes then also it will take Actual Values from Master Recipe and will be displayed.
If you want to achieve your requirement you should get ABAP help to write Program. you can use Enhancement.
Thanks

Difference between Suppression Active vs. Active (All Values =0)
In query properties, under Suppression there are options Active and Active(All Values = 0). What are the differences between these two options?
Hi Thao,
take the following example result set:
Characteristic || KF1 | KF2 | KF3 | Result
CHAR_VAL_1 -3 -2 5 0
CHAR_VAL_2 0 0 0 0
CHAR_VAL_3 2 -2 2 2
With the option "Active" the first two rows ("CHAR_VAL_1";"CHAR_VAL_2") are supressed, because their result is zero.
With the option "Active (All values = 0)" only the second row ("CHAR_VAL_2") is supressed, because every cell contains a zero. The row "CHAR_VAL_1" is not supressed, because the result (which is actualy also a zero) is not composed of only zeros, that is at least two (not one, because only one cell with a value different from zero and the others all having a zero leads to a result different from zero) of the cells in the row contain a value different from zero.

Activity type to Value categories
Dear Experts,
Can you please tell me how to assign the Activity type ( like Labor hour ) to Value categories.
AR.Hi Amit,
Actually activity type is not directly assigned to value categories.
We maintain the value categories in SPRO & cost elements are assigned to value categories.
CO person created the activity type & herein mentions cost elements too.
Further activity types are entered in work center master data and thus it appears in maintenance order.

Update of project planning after change in activity type
Hello Experts,
we are doing manual activity input planning ( CJ40 ) via customer report per year equal to project dates.
This means if we change activity plan price ( KP26 ) in future years, we need to recalculate the planned values in project system.
If we manually change values in CJ40 after changes in KP26 the system calculates the new monetary value in background
Example: Planned on project 10 Hrs a 20€ = 200€ // change price of activity type to 30€ // Plan 1 additional hour in CJ40: Monetary value changes to 11 Hrs a30€ = 330€ and posts +1 Hr with +130€ price difference.
Is there a opinion to adjust/update the monetary value after changes in KP26 without changing plan values?
ThanksHi Frank,
I am not sure what kind of project cost planning you are using. Usually it is either direct WBS cost planning with CJR2 or cost roll up from Network Activities and Orders or ECP.
The system will take AType price relevant for the period. If you have 100 hours with price 20 for Year N and 50 hours with price 30 for Year N+1, the planned cost will be 2000 + 1500 = 3500.
CJ40 is the Overall Planning, but you still can select a year (as a period). In the Overall view you have no button for Activity Input, it will show up only when you select a year.

Approved activity types per sales unit/organisation in 2009
Hello and nice days between christmas and new year,
I would like to see which activity types are approved for the different sales unit/organisation.
There is the T-Code KP25 and KP26 to see the planned activity types but can I get a list of the planned activity types associated with the sales units?
Thank you very much in advance,
VanessaHi,
Hi,
The T-code-KE27-Run Periodic Valuation of Actual data is actually meant for actual data related postings for CO-PA. Periodic valuation makes it possible for you to select and valuate actual data which has already been posted to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). It uses a valuation strategy defined especially for the point of valuation 02 (Periodic actual valuation). This function is available for the record types A (incoming sales orders) and F (billing data) as well as user-defined record types.
Periodic valuation is useful, for example, if you posted line items to CO-PA at the beginning of the period using the standard cost of goods manufactured, and want to evaluate them again later using the most up-to-date costs or using the actual costs of goods manufactured determined in Material Ledger.
The system posts the difference between the original values of the line item and the new values in a new, separate line item. If you perform periodic valuation more than once for a single line item, the system posts a new "difference" line item each time the values change.
Once you have performed periodic valuation, you can display the new values in the information system.
For valuation using material cost estimates, you can choose the alternative option of displaying the periodically calculated values separately from the original values. To do this, you need to define special value fields into which to store the values from periodic valuation.
Only values that are calculated in CO-PA during valuation can be recalculated in periodic valuation. However, those quantities and values that are stored according to the same value field assignment found in SD pricing when transferred from sales orders and billing documents remain unchanged
CKMLCP is not must for KE27.
Revert for clarification.

Diff. b/w Activity type and Statistical figures
Hi,
Could any one explain difference b/w Activity type and Statisfical figures. I observed both usages & purposes r same and not find any difference. If so, why there is need of other.
Along with i also want to know what's internal orders? Can't we do the same job in Cost Center Accounting.
Thanks in advance.
Krishna.hi
Even it looks like similar there are some differences and meant for different purposes

Revaluation of Activity type is not getting updated in Production Order
Hi,
I have run KSII , for actual activity price calculation. After this , the revalution of production orders was done.
But I am not finding any entry in Production order with a value of variance between Actual Price and Plan Price of the Activity type.
It sould come in the production order.
What can be the reason?
In OKEQ, for the Version '0' and the fiscal year, Revaluation has the entry ' 1.Own Business Transaction'. I hope this is correct.
But still the revalaution line item is not showing in Production Order.
Please help.
regards
KamleshHi Paolo,
Yes, MFN1 ran perfectly and I am also able to see the details in the screen.
My concern is, this revaluation should also have affect on Production order, thats what not happening.
Or let me know where can I see the affect of revaluation on Production orders.

Difference b/w DATA TYPE and DATA OBJECT & differences b/w TYPE and LIKE
hai
can any one say the differences between Data type and Data Object.

Ganihi,
_Data Types and Data Objects_
Programs work with local program data that is, with byte sequences in the working memory. Byte sequences that belong together are called fields and are characterized by a length, an identity (name), and as a further attribute by a data type. All programming languages have a concept that describes how the contents of a field are interpreted according to the data type.
In the ABAP type concept, fields are called data objects. Each data object is thus an instance of an abstract data type. There are separate name spaces for data objects and data types. This means that a name can be the name of a data object as well as the name of a data type simultaneously.
Data Types
As well as occurring as attributes of a data object, data types can also be defined independently. You can then use them later on in conjunction with a data object. The definition of a user-defined data type is based on a set of predefined elementary data types. You can define data types either locally in the declaration part of a program using the TYPESstatement) or globally in the ABAP Dictionary. You can use your own data types to declare data objects or to check the types of parameters in generic operations.
All programming languages distinguish between various types of data with various uses, such as .. type data for storing or displaying values and numerical data for calculations. The attributes in question are described using data types. You can define, for example, how data is stored in the repository, and how the ABAP statements work with the data.
Data types can be divided into elementary, reference, and complex types.
a. Elementary Types
These are data types of fixed or variable length that are not made up of other types.
The difference between variable length data types and fixed length data types is that the length and the memory space required by data objects of variable length data types can change dynamically during runtime, and that these data types cannot be defined irreversibly while the data object is being declared.
Predefined and User-Defined Elementary Data Types
You can also define your own elementary data types in ABAP using the TYPES statement. You base these on the predefined data types. This determines all of the technical attributes of the new data type. For example, you could define a data type P_2 with two decimal places, based on the predefined data type P. You could then use this new type in your data declarations.
b. Reference Types
Reference types are deep data types that describe reference variables, that is, data objects that contain references. A reference variable can be defined as a component of a complex data object such as a structure or internal table as well as a single field.
c. Complex Data Types
Complex data types are made up of other data types. A distinction is made here between structured types and table types.
Data Objects
Data objects are the physical units with which ABAP statements work at runtime. The contents of a data object occupy memory space in the program. ABAP statements access these contents by addressing the name of the data object and interpret them according to the data type.. For example, statements can write the contents of data objects in lists or in the database, they can pass them to and receive them from routines, they can change them by assigning new values, and they can compare them in logical expressions.
Each ABAP data object has a set of technical attributes, which are fully defined at all times when an ABAP program is running (field length, number of decimal places, and data type). You declare data objects either statically in the declaration part of an ABAP program (the most important statement for this is DATA), or dynamically at runtime (for example, when you call procedures). As well as fields in the memory area of the program, the program also treats literals like data objects.
A data object is a part of the repository whose content can be addressed and interpreted by the program. All data objects must be declared in the ABAP program and are not persistent, meaning that they only exist while the program is being executed. Before you can process persistent data (such as data from a database table or from a sequential file), you must read it into data objects first. Conversely, if you want to retain the contents of a data object beyond the end of the program, you must save it in a persistent form.
Declaring Data Objects
Apart from the interface parameters of procedures, you declare all of the data objects in an ABAP program or procedure in its declaration part. These declarative statements establish the data type of the object, along with any missing technical attributes. This takes place before the program is actually executed. The technical attributes can then be queried while the program is running.
The interface parameters of procedures are generated as local data objects, but only when the procedure is actually called. You can define the technical attributes of the interface parameters in the procedure itself. If you do not, they adopt the attributes of the parameters from which they receive their values.
ABAP contains the following kinds of data objects:
a. Literals
Literals are not created by declarative statements. Instead, they exist in the program source code. Like all data objects, they have fixed technical attributes (field length, number of decimal places, data type), but no name. They are therefore referred to as unnamed data objects.
b. Named Data Objects
Data objects that have a name that you can use to address the ABAP program are known as named objects. These can be objects of various types, including text symbols, variables and constants.
Text symbols are pointers to texts in the text pool of the ABAP program. When the program starts, the corresponding data objects are generated from the texts stored in the text pool. They can be addressed using the name of the text symbol.
Variables are data objects whose contents can be changed using ABAP statements. You declare variables using the DATA, CLASS-DATA, STATICS, PARAMETERS, SELECT-OPTIONS, and RANGESstatements.
Constants are data objects whose contents cannot be changed. You declare constants using the CONSTANTSstatement.
c. Anonymous Data Objects
Data objects that cannot be addressed using a name are known as anonymous data objects. They are created using the CREATE DATAstatement and can be addressed using reference variables.
d. System-Defined Data Objects
System-defined data objects do not have to be declared explicitly - they are always available at runtime.
e. Interface Work Areas
Interface work areas are special variables that serve as interfaces between programs, screens, and logical databases. You declare interface work areas using the TABLES and NODESstatements.
What is the difference between Type and Like?
Answer1:
TYPE, you assign datatype directly to the data object while declaring.
LIKE,you assign the datatype of another object to the declaring data object. The datatype is referenced indirectly.
Answer2:
Type is a keyword used to refer to a data type whereas Like is a keyword used to copy the existing properties of already existing data object.
Answer3:
type refers the existing data type
like refers the existing data object
