Difference in actual qty & inspection lot qty

Dear gurus
i am in a situation.in the sales order the oty is 3000kg and the delivery made is alos 3000 kg . but when i checked the inspection lot (qa03) in the tab inspection lot qty the actual qty is 3000kg but the inspection lot qty and sample size is showing 2382 kg.what might be the reason.
sam

Hi Sam,
3.There is one tab "correct actual Qty" in QA02.Have you made any chnages hee.
have you checked it,
Once you change this quantity and save, the lot quantity will also set accordingly.
To track the changes for the same for inspection lot, press Cntr + F12 in either QA03 or QA02

  • Production Order Qty- Inspection Lot Qty

    Hi Guru's,
When an  production order is relreased an inspection lot is creaetd with the production Qty. But later when we change Qty for  the released Prodction Order the inspection lot  Qty is not changes it remains the same as previous Order Qty.
Say for Ex: intial Prod  order qty (MTS Scenario) is 200 (production order released). Inspection lot Qty is 200.
Later  User changes the Qty to  100. Our problem is the inspection lot qty  does not change ramins the same as 200. Can inspection lot qty be changed automically on change of production order qty .
What settings need to change? pls advise

    Hi Sankaran,
It is possible if the user not doing any result against existing lot.
    Follow the Below step.
Your Existing order Qty = 200 Nos Inspection lot no 300000200.
Now you want change the Qty as 200 to 100.
Before change the qty, first you have to delete the Inspection lot Go to CO02 -> Got to menu Functions -> Inspection lot -> Delete.
    Now change the Qty 100.
And Again go to Functions -> Inspection Lot -> Create. and save the order.
Now system will delete the Old indpection lot and create the new inspection lot.
    Qty : 100 Inspection Lot 300000201.
    Revert further clarification.

  • In process Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity difference.

    Hi Experts,
In case of  In process Inspection
Scenario : 1. Production Order created, released but before saving the qty is changed.
                    2. Production Order created released and saved. Then qty is changed in Change Prod order txn.
These scenarios are causing a discrepancy in  Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity. Is there any method to avoid this ?
This can be made correct in  Inspection lot by resetting the sample calculation. But once confirmation has started for Prodn Order (not necessarily QC operation) or  RR has been done  resetting is not possible.
Is this the std behavior ? Disallowing the resetting once RR done seems OK, but even if any of the operation in Prodn Order is confirmed it still give status error while resetting. Canceling all the confirmation all the way back  also does not solve the problem.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards
    Joe

    Hi
Although your suggestion is valid, it is not practical from user point of view.
Moving this thread to QM forum.

  • QM Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty

    Gang,
What is the difference between Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty. And which one of these should get updated when more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc?
    Thanks
    Bruce

Inspection lot Qty & actual lot qty as I remind are most of the time same but when you do the QTy correction through QAC1 ,they come into picture...or may be when you have inspection control defined in the QM view
Inspection lot qty has significance for inspection & calculation of sample size.
When more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc the inspection lot QTy will be Qty for which he material document is created,

  • Inspection Lot Qty Vs Actual Lot Qty

    Hi All;
I am posting multiple GR's against a Process Order for Eg 1st GR 100 Qty, 2nd GR 200, 3rd GR 300 and after doing this in the Inspection Lot the Inspection Lot Qty shows as 100 and the Actual lot Qty of 600 (sum of GR's) hence the Inspection lot Qty is always less then the actual lot Qty.... is this standard,I was thinking the Inspection Lot Qty gets updated with the Actual Lot Qty and they should match.
    Thanks & Regards

What is the process order quantity when Inspection lot was created? It should be 100.Usually the process order qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and the GR qty will be shown as the actual lot qty. That's the reason the actual lot qty is equal to your GR qty. Most of the times, these two quantities are same.
As said in the earlier response, for incoming goods the GR qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and during inspection if you find the received qty is higher or lesser than the GR qty, using QAC1 the actual lot qty is corrected. So, always the actual lot qty is the qty received.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Inspection lot qty printout

    Dear all,
I have a requirement of a tag printing in which inspection lot details are being printed.
The Tag being printed every time of partial UD, here the problem in printing of the tag observed.
The tag contains the inspection lot cleared qty, but if lot qty is say 500  and user did partial ud of 100 qty  first time 200 qty second time and 100 qty third time, I could not able to get the partial UD qty in QALS.
I need to print the tag as per the partial UD.
EX LOT qty 500 and i did partial ud say 100  so in QALS i dont get the qty for which i did partial UD.
system will add the value of the Partial ud as per the partial UD.
how to resolve the above problem, or i need to enter the partail UD in Z table. and pick the value as per the entry?
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Anil

    Hi Venugopal,
    Thanks My problem is resolved..
The way u suggest is absolutely correct. unfortunately i could not explore it...
Thanks, I have assigned full Points to ur reply.
    one more query
Is it possible to print the tag directly using any enhancement / functional module after saving the UD Posting.?
If u have any idea, kindly revert.

  • Inspection Lot with Zero stock posting qty

    Dear QM Consultants,
We have come across following scenario,
    1.     Repetitive manufacturing
    2.     Material has inspection type 04 and Z04. Preferred inspection type is not ticked. Z04 inspection type has been assigned to inspection lot 04.
    3.     Production GR done by 131 movement
    4.     Inspection lot generated with reference to 131 movement type. Lot for inspection type 04 is created.
    5.     Inspection lot qty in QA32 it shows correctly as that of GR qty.
    6.     But when we click on UD, in stock posting tab, qty to be posted it shows as ZERO. So no qty is available for stock posting.
Has anybody came across such scenario? Is this any bug? Any SAP note for this?
    Best Regards,
    Anand Rao

Dear Sujit, Thanks for so prompt reply,
Basically this is a complex case,
    1.     See we have set Posting Proposal in Usage Decision as u2018To unrestricted useu2019 in selected sets for usage decision. That means we need not every time go to stock posting tab. The moment we select ACC UD code it automatically posts the stock to unrestricted use.
    2.     Now, what has happed, by 131 movement declaration, backflush happened with 261 movement for child parts.
    3.     Inspection lots with inspection type 04 were created. (Here we did not note whether the stock was posted in quality inspection or in unrestricted use)
    4.     Now the requirement is to cancel 131 movement document. Kindly note UD were not given up to this moment.
    5.     Now through MFBF, user did document specific reversal. As a result of which and as per my knowledge 132 movement should happen and 262 should also happen. At the same time inspection lot status should be set to LTCA. But in actual case 132 movement happened and 262 did not. Surprisingly inspection lot did not set to LTCA status. It remained in REL mode only.
    6.     After this document specific reversal, user gave UD to these inspection lots without noticing where the stock was lying.(in unrestricted or in quality inspection). So the lot status set to UD   ICCO SPCO STUP after giving usage decision.
    7.     Now while doing reverse engineering that why 262 movement did not happen, we came to know that no 321 movement happened for the inspection lots which were generated with reference 131 movement document
    8.     Also, qty to be posted it shows ZERO as explained in my earlier post.
    9.     When we display 132 movement document through MIGO, in where tab it shows stock type as Quality inspection. That means stock was lifted from QI for 132 movement.
In short  it cannot be predicted where the stock was actually posted whether in QI or in unrestricted use. But yes the post to inspection stock tick has been ticked in material master.
Can you help further in this regard?
    Best Regards

  • Inspection lot sample Qty change manual

    Dear Friends ,
Is there any T Code or procedure to change inspeciton lot sample size in inspection lot
like how we change the Inspection lot Qty
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Hi
You can only reset the sample Quantity using qa02>enter inspection lot>click on sample ->save>This will reset the sample(remove task list)
Now you can change the task list an attach modified sample
    Or
Assign manual sapme calculation in Inspection type (without inspection task list)
This will allow you to maintain/enter the manual sample size during lot creation.
    try this

  • Inspection lot number ranges skipping

My inspection lot number ranges are skipping, those are std number ranges like 01 origin, 04 origin etc, what could be the reason for that.
Inspn lots are getting generated and I took UD also. But certain numbers in the range got skipped.
Eg:- Incoming inspn lot 010000000041 then it comes 010000000045
Lot numbers 01/42, 01/43, 01/44 does not exist in sytem.
    Please suggest a way out
    Thanks

    Craig,
But expert suggestion says, not to switch off buffer thru SNRO as it may affect fuctionality as you said early in this discussion.
But I believe, this is to be relooked by SAP as number range skipping is not good (My case its skipping 5-7 numbers at a time). But I am not convinced with the reply from SAP also.
Anyway thanks to you craig for your advice.
SAP Note on this matter for reference of all. Thanks

    Summary
    Symptom
Gaps (jumps) occur when allocating internal numbers.
The status of the number range interval does not match the number that was last assigned.
The number assignment does not reflect the insert sequence.

    Reason and Prerequisites
A large number of number range objects are buffered. When the system buffers a number range object, it does not update numbers individually in the database but reserves a preset group of numbers (depending on the number range object) in the database the first time a number is requested, and makes these numbers available to the application server in question. The following numbers can then be taken directly from the application server buffer. New numbers are not used in the database until the application server buffer has been used up.
The effects described under "Symptom" are a direct consequence of this:
If an application server is shut down, the numbers that are left in the buffer (that is, that are not yet assigned) are lost. As a result, there are gaps in the number assignment.
The status of the number range interval reflects the next free number that has not yet been transferred to an application server for intermediate buffering. The current number level therefore does not display the number of the "next" object.
The current number level (for each server) can be displayed using Transaction SM56. Call transaction SM56 and choose the menu 'Goto' -> 'Entries'. In the dialog box, enter the client, the affected number range object (for example, RK_BELEG) and possibly the required subobject (corresponds to the controlling area for the object RK_BELEG).
If you use several application servers, the numerical sequence will not reflect the (chronological) insert sequence because the numbers are buffered separately on the individual hosts.
Buffering the number range objects has a positive effect on performance, because the system no longer has to access the database (number range table NRIV) for each posting. Furthermore, a serialization of this table (database locking) is prevented to a large extent so that posting procedures can be carried out in parallel.
    Solution
Since number range buffering does not cause any expressly assured qualities to be lost, no correction is required.
If you still require continuous allocation, you can deactivate the number range buffering specifically for individual objects.
    Proceed as follows:
    - Start Transaction SNRO and enter the affected object.
    - Choose 'Change'.
    - Deactivate buffering: Choose 'Edit' -> 'Set Up Buffering' -> 'No Buffering'.
    - If you want to change the buffer size only, enter the corresponding value in the field 'No. of numbers in buffer'.
    - Save the changes.
Please note that this change is a modification. The modification is overwritten as soon as the affected number range object is redelivered - in other words, you must check the change manually each time you import a release.
In particular, read Note 678501, bearing in mind that changing the buffering type - if not explicitly recommended by SAP - constitutes a modification. For other possible solutions, refer to the following notes:
    179224, 599157 and 840901.
For the the following number range objects, gaps may cause users to have doubts since they are 'expecting' a sequential numbering:
    Area CO:
    - RK_BELEG   (CO Document)
CAUTION: Note that the problems described in Notes 20965 and 29030 may occur if you deactivate buffering.
    - COPA_IST (Document number in actual posting)
    - COPA_PLAN  (Document number in planned posting)
    - COPA_OBJ   (Profitability segment number)
    Area FI:
    - DEBITOR    (Customer master data)
    - KREDITOR   (Vendor master data)
    Area HR:
    - RP_REINR  (Trip numbers)

    - QMEL_NR    (Number range - message)
    Area MM:
    - MATBELEG   (Material documents)
    - MATERIALNR (Material master)
    Area QM:

    - QMEL_NR    (Number range - message)
    - QMERK      (Confirmation number)

    - QMERKRUECK (Confirmation number of an inspection characteristic in QM results processing)

    - ROUTING_Q  (Number ranges for inspection plans)
    - QCONTROLCH (Quality control chart)
    Area Workflow:
    - EDIDOC     (IDocs)
Number range buffering can be activated or deactivated at any time.
Number range objects that have to be continuous due to legal specifications (for example, RF_BELEG, RV_BELEG), or due to a corresponding application logic must not be buffered using the buffering type 'Main memory buffering'. See also Notes 37844 (for RF_BELEG) and 23835 (for RV_BELEG).

  • Actual lot Qty and inspection stock

    Hi,
We are using early inspection for 04 inspection lot. When I release my process order the inspection lot is created. As usual, the first inspection doesn't have Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is checked. Now, when I create new inspection lot for same process order, the inspection lot has Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is unchecked.
In material master Post to insp. stock is checked.
Thanks for your help in advance.

    Dear
U need to go for Order Change Management For doing This As u said ur Changing the Qty and it should reflect in the inspection lot

  • Inspection Lot quantity change (lot origin 03) when Prod. ord. qty changes?

    Hi,
it seems that for an inspection lot, with lot origin 03:Production, its Inpsection Lot qty doesnt change when the Production order Total Quantity field changes. Only the Actual Inspection Lot changes.
How can the Inspection lot quantity field of the Inspection Lot be changed accordingly?
Should the enhancement PPCO0007 be used?and then LOSMENGE (table QALS) =GAMNG (table AFKO)
    Can it be done?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
In that case, you can do it by :
    - Reread the master data of production order(From Menu Bar).
    - The status of production order will be converted from "Released" to "Created".
    - Release the production order again.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Use User status profile as per below screen shots for your requirement.
    T.code: BS02
After creation of status profile assign it in to inspection type and check ur scenario again.

  • Qual Insp:Perform partial qty REJECT in QA12 for Material GR inspection lot

    Dear All,
Please advice me for a scenarion.
I perform MIGO-GR - MType 103 for 5 qty, material moves to GR Blkd Stk.
Then perform MIGO-RelBlkSTk - MType 105 for 5 qty, the material moves from GRBlkStk to QualtInspStk.
The perform QA32 for the insp lot , and ACCEPT the 5 qty to UnrestStk.
This acceptence movement calculates the Vendor Evaluation Quality criteria also.
I can also REJECT the above inspection lot by QA12 : Change Usage Decision, this rejects the full 5 qty, and this also has impact in vendor evaluation quality criteria rating. Then Return to the Vendor the 5 qty.
    My query is:
Now if i want to return PARTIAL qty to the vendor ALONG WITH VENDOR RATING RETURN CALCULATION.
I am unable to enter partial qty in the QA12, in the 'Inspection Lot tab' in the 'To Be Posted' column.
The whole column is non-editable, is it standard by default as non-editable?
Am i performing the right steps for my requirement?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joy Ghosh

    Hi
In QA12, after entering appropriate Usage decision, click on "defective quantity" tab at header, and there enter the quantity.

    Hi QM Experts,
    kindly,give me suggestion for:
I have an inspection lot there in usage decision i forgot to enter inception lot qty. in inspection lot stock tab so,due to this reason stock is showing in quality inspection and lot status is in " UD   ICCO SPCO STUP " now,if i go to inspection lot stock tab to enter the qty.then i am getting all fields in Grey out mode. So,in this condition what should i do?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Vivek,
Well, I think now as the stock has not moved form QI to Unrestricted stock, please can you run the report mentioned in the note -
48815 - Checking possible inconsistencies between MM and QM
Hopefully, you will be able to clear all your open QI stocks.
    Thanks,

  • How to create z-report ( actual , planned , variance -production qty)

    Hi dear experts,
My client need a report where we can see production order qty, actual production qty, dependent matl planned qty and dependent matl actual consummed qty, and difference between actual and planned quantities in one single screen?
For this , sap have any std reports or else we have to create any z-report?
In case of z-report plz explain me how to create it.
    please guide us.
    Regards,
    Imran

    Hi,
you can check below standard PP reports transaction code:
COOIS - Production Order Info system
    MCPM Production order anal.: Quantities
    MCPD Production order analysis: Dates
MCPU Production Order Analysis: Lead Time
    MCP0 Shop Floor Information System
    MCP1 SFIS: Operation Analysis Selection
    MCP3 SFIS: Material Analysis Selection
If you want to get Z development report, first you can go throgh your business requirement and what will client expect in your Z report, then you can check the production order header & component tables & its relevant fields.
You can prepare for functional specification for Z report development and will send it to ABAPer's.
Let me know any further clarifications.
