When cross browser testing, make sure you have text size set to 100% (Ctrl+0) in all browsers.

  • Flex 2 Accessibility and Mozilla browsers?

I found an article dated back to 2005 that mentioned this:
This works fine as long as the browser itself works with this
technology. The Flex blurb on accessibility mentions that Flex
provides components which "out of the box" use MSAA, but doesn't
mention the problem, which is... that the Netscape plug-in model
doesn't talk to MSAA properly, so if you've got a Flash/Flex movie
running in any Netscape-powered browsers (ie. Mozilla, among
others) it won't be able to communicate the accessibility info to
    the OS."
Was this fixed in Flex 2?

I've been working on this myself, and to my knowledge the
answer is "no". Specifically, only the ActiveX Flash Player works
with MSAA, not the Netscape-based plugin. I've actually been
looking at this in terms of functional test automation rather than
accessibility per se, so there may be other options.

  • What is the difference between aurora and firefox browsers?

What is the difference between Firefox 9 and Aurora? Which one performs better?

The Aurora builds are for testing code for future Firefox version. The Nightly builds (currently Firefox 12) always get the latest changes and patches first and such changes bubble down to other Firefox versions with a delay of about six weeks, first to the Aurora channel (currently Firefox 11) and then another 6 weeks later to the Beta channel (currently Firefox 10) that then gets the next release (Beta goes to release at the end of January). Normal users should always stay on the release channel.

  • Beta versions and other browsers are currently not supported by an application I use everyday, what do I need to do?

When logging in to an application I get this message:
You are attempting to access ezLaborManager with the following unsupported browser:
    Firefox Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2
ezLaborManager is only supported on current production versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox. "Beta" versions and other browsers are currently not supported.
It is strongly recommended that you use a supported browser to avoid encountering access and display issues.
WHAT VERSION OF FIREFOX SHOULD I USE?

Well, you can waste a lot of time and money trying to get your old iron up to speed but the sad fact is, even though it may work with Color, it will most likely end in a less than satisfactory experience all around. You need to determine if your G5 has PCI, PCI-x or PCIe slots and then purchase the appropriate cards.
However, Final Cut Studio 2 is optimized for the Intel processors. You will see users here and there using the newest models G5 with great success but quite honestly, you need a Mac Pro.
Or just purchase the Aja IO/HD which is a firewire 800 interface and the only firewire device that will preview externally Color.

  • "View Source" problem in IE and Mozilla

I'm parsing a HTML data source using JAVA.
I do "View Source" of the page in both IE and Mozilla.
#1 below is from IE and #2 is from Mozilla.
    1. <p><div class = "sub1"> <a name="..."></a>...</div></p>2. <p><div class =" sub1"> <a name="..."></a>...</div></p>Notice the spaces in the <div> tag. The spaces in IE and Mozilla are different. Could somebody please advise about this?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The two browsers use different programs to display the text of the source. IE usually takes the windows default and uses Notepad, whereas Firefox uses its own program. They are going to format it differently.
My approach would be to use the Notepad version and have notepad save it to disk. Only your own program can tell for sure what is really in the file, without notepad introducing display artifacts (like extra newline to do word wraps).

Why is the new Safari (7) not letting sound be heard from Soundcloud widgets (players) on my website when the earlier Safari worked fine, and other browsers also work fine?

Might be an incompatible extension or plugin ...
Try troubleshooting Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

  • BAM 11G support for Mozilla Browsers

Does anybody know if and when Oracle BAM will support more browsers than MSIE?

    Hi
You can use the IE plug in for Mozilla today on 11g. However, we do not certify this solution.
If browser flexibility is important , please look into the 11gR1 PS1 BAM-ADF data control functionality. You can create ADF based applications powered by BAM server. As a result, you will be able to use Mozilla and other browsers supported by Oracle ADF technology and also, get the real time automatic updates. There are samples and recordings posted on soasamples.samplecode.oracle.com on OTN.
Browser independent functionality is on our roadmap for a major release in the future.

  • Jre 1.4.1 with IE5 and Mozilla MAC OS X

    Hi,
I just installed the JRE 1.4.1 on Mac OS X.
It's working fine with the apple's browser SAFARI.
But my other browsers,IE5 an Mozilla, still launch the applets in the JRE 1.3.1.
Is there a way to force IE5 and Mozilla to use the 1.4.1 jre ?
    Thank you
    Laurent

    Hi
on Apple website, you find your answer :
Q: What J2SE version do Java applets run under inside a browser?
A: Apple's Safari browser runs all Java applets under J2SE 1.4.1 if 1.4.1 is installed. Other browsers are currently developed to specifically use our 1.3.1 implementation, and will need to be updated. If you would like to see your favorite browser use 1.4.1, please contact the vendor and ask them to adopt the newer version.

  • Adobe Interactive Forms with Browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to implement HCM P&F using Adobe Interactive Forms. These Adobe Forms will be accessed using Browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox. I have come across that the Adobe Interactive Forms are not supported on these browsers. In the same regard I have also gone through the Product Availability Matrix by SAP which specifies that Forms are not support on these browser and neither SAP has future plans to support them.
PAM can be found on link:          http://service.sap.com/pam
I would like to know from experts that if any of the project has successfully implemented Adobe Interactive Forms with browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox or
is there any solution which can make these forms work successfully on browser Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
Your early reply will be highly appreciated.
    thanks
    Manoj

    Hello,
Mozilla Firefox is supported for Adobe Interactive Forms on Windows operation system.
Unfortunatelly we do not have support for Mac OS and Safari browser.
    Please re-check the PAM.
    Best regards,

  • How do I update Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U51Next Generation Java Plug-in 10.51.2 for Mozilla browsers

I am suggested by the mozilla plugin manager that I need to UPDATE Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U51Next Generation Java Plug-in 10.51.2 for Mozilla browsers
How do I do that and ask for it to be updated automatically
    Thanks in advance

Hello eserub1, if you can not update from the next link : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ , choose the button '''Update Now''', then you have to manually install the offline version from the next link : http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (before you do that uninstall java from control panel > add or remove programs) and then install the new version.
Note that because xp is unsupported for almost a year maybe it is better to do that manually (i do it in my xp !)
    thank you

  • Difference between Flash And AIR

    Hi,
Actually, What is the difference between Flash and AIR

At a very high level, Flash Player is a plugin used by browsers to display Flash content typically hosted on a server.  AIR is a runtime that displays a superset of Flash Player content, but does so in an application format installed on the users system or device.  In addition, there are differences in how the two interact with the file system and security policies.

  • How do I stop constant refreshing on google and other browsers

I have constant refresh on google and Safari browsers.  It is constantly .what do I do?

If there is a password field on a web page and you have saved a password then Firefox may try to fill that password and enter the name in the field just above that password field.
    You can look at:
    * Saved Password Editor: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/60265
    *Form History Control: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/12021
You may want to disable saved form fill to prevent Firefox from filling the name.

  • Management Bigotry and Mozilla Openness?

How can I be assured of honest, forthright, and excellent Mozilla products in light of the recent firing?
As I understand the situation, a coding genius and leading light in internet affairs was booted from Mozilla because he exercised his California citizen's right to vote (for either side) and to support a party to an open, official election in California a decade ago.
From my understanding of high school civics your actions are not in line with the Great American Experiment, and, in fact, appear to show a closed mindedness bordering on bigotry. Obviously there are undoubtedly more factors than are bandied about in the blogosphere. Please enlighten us.
That said, how will you approach Mozillians' various ideas and variety going forward? Don't you value differences in opinion and direction as a strength? How will you make up for the loss of a genius at this craft? Under this inner-directed leadership is Mozilla circling the drain?

hello, there are quite few misconceptions and wrong media reports flying around about what happened around brendan's resignation as ceo and from mozilla totally. please refer to https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/04/05/faq-on-ceo-resignation/ and https://medium.com/p/7645a4bf8a2 for more information on the subject.
since this forum is staffed primarily by volunteers and a place to provide technical support for mozilla products and not a general place for discussing policies, i'm also going to close this thread. should you still have any concerns on the subject that you want to discuss, please take them to the mozilla governance mailing list located at https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance instead.
    thank you!

  • What is the programming (ABAP) difference between Unicode and non Unicode?

What is the programming(ABAP) difference between Unicode and non Unicode?
Edited by: NIV on Apr 12, 2010 1:29 PM

    Hi
The difference between programming in Unicode or not Unicode is that you should consider some adjustments to make on the Program "Z" to comply with the judgments Unicode Standard.
In the past, developments in SAP using multiple systems to encode the characters of different alphabets. For example: ASCII, EBCDI, or double-byte code pages.
These coding systems mostly use 1 byte per character, which can encode up to 256 characters. However, other alphabets such as Japanese or Chinese use a larger number of characters in their alphabets. That's why the system using double-byte code page, which uses 2 bytes per character.
In order to unify the different alphabets, it was decided to implement a single coding system that uses 2 bytes per character regardless of what language is concerned. That system is called Unicode.
Unicode is also the official way to implement ISO/IEC 10646 and is supported in many operating systems and all modern browsers.
The way of verifying whether a program was adjusted or not, is through the execution of the UCCHECK transaction. Additionally, you can check by controlling syntax (making sure that this asset verification check Unicode).
The main decisions to adjust / replace are (examples):
ASSIGN H-SY-INDEX TEXT TO ASSIGN <F1> by
    H-SY-INDEX TEXT (*) TO <F1>.
