Difference in stock values after MR21 updation

Here the user has updated a material price using MR21 and after that he tried to execute the MB5L (stock balance MM-FI) to know the stock values in MM & FI records.  However, the stock values in MM does not tally with FI values.  There is a variance.
While executing MB5L, system has issued a message like this:
"Restriction on this field lead to incorrect results.
The display of selected material records shows the detailed data of the material, but comparing these values with the balance of the stock account may not provide the same result.
Execute the balance comparison at company code level using report RM07MMFI (MM/FI balance comparison)."
Which report the user should use for comparison ?

Hello,
MB5L must always be ran at Company code level. Once it is ran, you can get to the Plant/Material level balances by double-clicking the Material GL Account.

  • Difference in stock value with same quantity

    Dear Friends,
    one of my user has a problem regarding difference in Stock value. when he had run the report MB52 up to 31/03/2011, and  saved his value in temp file  and now in current date he is using report MC.9 for same material up to 03/2011. now his problem is difference in stock value while stock quantity is same for particular material. and this thing is correct in all other material.
    Are MB52 and MC.9 both reports give same data for same date like up to 31/03/2011 ? if yes then where would be the problem? why difference is coming and what should i need to check? please guide me, i am new in MM.
    Thanks
    Vijay Sharma

    MC.9 is a statistic transaction which is using info structure information as basis, while MB52 basis is normal business data.
    Updates for info structure have less priority, which means that it can happen that the update fails, but this does not effect the business transaction in general, and the transaction is not rolled back, which then leads to inconsistencies between both.
    To solve this you would need to rebuild the information structure (which is only possible if no postings are made in this time of regeneration).

  • Difference between cash value after customs and before customs?

    Hello experts.
    Where can you percieved the diffrerence on the landed costs if you select the allocation by before/after customs?
    Looking forward to your reply,
    Kind regards

    Hi Erickson,
    In the landed cost you can allocate your customs cost. Customs cost allocation to items can be difference per item customs cost percentage (as defined in the master data) or based on total cost allocation (actual customs in the landed cost screen).
    If your landed cost allocated to total value after custom, then that cost will be allocated based on item value after customs (item cost + customs).
    Example:
    1. Item A; Value 500; customs rate : 10%
    2. Item B; Value 1500; customs rate: 15%
    Total landed cost 2000
    Landed Cost Allocation:
    => cash value before customs:
    1. Item A
         => Customs = 10% * 500 = 50
         => Landed cost = (500/2000) * 2000 = 500
         => final cost Item A = (item cost + customs + landed cost) = 500 + 50 + 500 = 1050
    2. Item B
         => Customs = 15% * 1500 = 225
         => Landed cost = (1500/2000) * 2000 = 1500
         => final cost Item A = (item cost + customs + landed cost) = 1500 + 225 + 1500 = 3225
    => cash value before customs:
    1. Item A
         => Customs = 10% * 1000 = 100
         => Cash value after Customs = 500 + 100 = 600
         => Landed cost = (600/2275) * 2000 = 483.52
         => final cost Item A = (item cost + customs + landed cost) = 500 + 100 + 483.52 = 1033.52
    2. Item B
         => Customs = 15% * 1500 = 225
         => Cash value after Customs = 1500 + 225 = 1725
         => Landed cost = (1725/2275) * 2000 = 1516.48
         => final cost Item A = (item cost + customs + landed cost) = 1500 + 225 + 1516.48 = 3241.48
    => If actual customs directly being input into landed cost screen, the would be no difference on the landed cost allocation since all customs allocated proportionally.
    Cheers

  • Stock value related to sales return

    Hi experts,
    When sales return, the return goods captures the current stock value after PGI. What's the system logic for that? U know, the customer wants it to capture the stock value of the responding sales delivery date.
    For e.g., the goods (10 ton) is sold in June when the stock value is $10/ton. In July, 2 ton is returned while the stock value is $15/ton. According to the standrad system configuration, the return goods bases on $15/ton to calculate (accounting document in material document after PGI). But the customer want to base on $10/ton to calculate as to keep some financial reports balance.
    In case the difference of stock value occurs, is it the only way to adjust material cost via MR21 & the difference of stock by KEU5?

    Hi Colleagues,
    I am facing the same issue with my client.
    Here, the project was implemented 5 years back and till now the processes in system were working fine. But, raised a concern on MAP of material during issues and returns.
    Client is maintaining MAP for certain materials (includes some FG items also) in Material master data.
    During goods issue MAP is captured at say 100/- But, if the stock is being returned into plant after 6 months or so.....then during goods returns, MAP is captured at current prices ..say 95/-.
    Now the client want to return the stock at same price during original goods issue i.e at 100/- only. Even if goods return document captures the stock MAP at 100/- ...then where do difference (5/-) will be posted. As per logic difference will be posted to P/L account, but can we see this posting in accounting document of goods return material document?
    I think it is not possible in standard process in system. To take up this activity with system modification, can we utilize userexits in MM module? If so, can anybody please tell...which include can we consider to do this.
    Thanks & regards,
    Praveen.

  • Changes in stock value of the material even after closing period

    The client closes the accounts every month end. Say they close the books of accounts for the month of Jan’07 on 31st Jan 2007. After closing the account they are running MC.9 to know the stock value of different plants for the previous month. i.e.  for the month of Jan’07. But every day when the client runs the MC.9 they found some differences in the stock price & quantity.
    For better understanding, consider they close the period on 31st Jan. When they run the MC.9 on 2nd Feb it shows the value say 100$ and qty of 100. When we run the same report on 4th Feb the value got changed to say 98$ and qty remain same. Again when we run on 6th Feb the value is changed again to say 102$ and stock is 100.
    We checked the MB51 with posting date & entered date. We could not find any back posting.
    What could be the reason for the  variation in the stock price & qty ? Any pointers will be highly appricated.

    Hi Venkat,
    Your previous posting talked about variation in stock value and now you are saying that there are changes in stock qty also. So the better option would be to check those material which has variation and compare them with other standard reports to get a solution. Export the list of material to an excel sheet and compare them with that of the other reports. This would help you to find the materials which has changes and you can narrow down to the root cause. Once you get the material then u can go by posting date and find the movements.
    Hope this helps. Reward if u find it useful.

  • Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically

    Hi All,
    Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically but if we do it manually from transaction CFM2 it will get updated.
    for this we are using EXIT_SAPLCSTK_001.
    I am using VL10A for delivery and VL06G for PGI
    I have also checked integration model for material and stock.
    Please help me out as it is very urgent.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    for transferring the stock data from R/3 to APO automatically, you need to have the integration model for material and stock activated.
    please check the same.
    if this does not help, let me know in detail the steps which you are following..

  • Update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to update a column value once the item has been approved.
    Following settings have been made in the publishing articles list:
    Require content approval for submitted items : yes
    Create major and minor (draft) versions
    Who should see draft items in this document library? :Only users who can edit items
    Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited? : yes
    I have createdatu a Sharepoint 2013 workflow to check if Approval sts of current item = 0 i.e. Approved , then check out and update the item and finally checkin the item. Everything works fine till this point except that the minor version of the item is
    checked in. Due to this the updated columns are not published to others.
    Also, I created a Sharepoint 2010 workflow to SET CONTENT APPROVAL = APPROVED and started this workflow from my list workflow above, but the item does not get checked-in and always shows "In Progress" status with comment "The item is currently
    locked for editing. Waiting for item to be checked in or for the lock to be released.".
    Please let me know where I am missing out so that once the item is approved, column value gets updated and current item is still in Approved status.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow.
    You will get into this kind of Catch-22 situation trying to set the Content Approval Status in SharePoint Designer workflow:
    - You must check out the document before you can change the Content Approval Status
             - You can't change the Content Approval Status once the document in checked out
    Since you set the Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited=Yes, you will need to check out the document when run the workflow on the item. But you cannot approve a document when it is checked
    out. So the logic in workflow conflicts.
    As a workaround, you can use the Start Another Workflow action to start the normal Approval workflow on the document.  The built-in Approval workflow can work with a document that’s not checked out.
    The designer approval workflow also can work with a document that’s not checked out.
    You can create two workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013.
    First, create a SharePoint 2010 platform workflow.
    Then, create a SharePoint 2013 platform workflow.
    Then when the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow start, it will start the SharePoint 2010 platform workflow to set content approval status, then the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow will update current item value.

  • An internal error has occurred:  ?:0: attempt to index a nil value after installing LR5.5 update and trying to play or preview slideshow

    An internal error has occurred:  ?:0: attempt to index a nil value after installing LR5.5 update and trying to play or preview slideshow. Never had this problem before. I went to forums and see that this is a problem with previous versions and this only occurred after installing lastest update.

    Jeannine,
         If you follow the advice of the previous poster Julie Kmoch and then gradualy add presets back in one at a time you might be able to find the one that is causing the issue. I may be guessing, but I believe the issue has something to do with either an incompatible Preset setting (eg a older preset in newer version of LR) or a corrupt Preset.
    Say you bought LR2 and imported a bunch of Presets from the internet, cuz 'Hey these effects are cool and I don't have to recreate the wheel', and then you upgraded to LR3 (not a clean install) and now one of the Presets that calls a certain slider setting or value that is different in LR3 doesn't work anymore. This might be why it throws the error, but again I am just speculating.
    Location of LR Preset folder in Windows Vista/ Windows 7
    C:/Users/<YourUserName>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets
    If you do not see the folder AppData, you may need to change the settings in Windows Explorer to 'Show Hidden Files and Folders'. To do that in Windows Vista/ Windows 7, open a Windows Explorer window, Click on Organize, then Foler and Search Options. Then click on the View tab and select the option button next to Show hidden files, folders and drives.
    Hope this helps a bit,

  • Since updating to Firefox 4, my MSN home page no longer displays hotmail emails or my stock informtion. I have to click on hotmail or stocks to open another window to see if I have email or updated stock values. Why is this happening?

    I recently updated to Firefox 4. Now my Norton password protection does not work; My hotmail view on my MSN home page does not work; and my stock updates to not work. I have to click on "hotmail" to see if I have new e-mails and click on "stock quotes" to see updated stock values. Prior to the "upgrade", my new emails could be viewed on my MSN homepage as well as my stock prices. Does anyone know why this is occurring?

    I was able to fix the issue here. Steps Taken:  From the comand line I ran
    dscl /Search read /Users/jdoe HomeDirectory
    It returned # No such key: HomeDirectory
    This was the big clue.... it should have returned
    HomeDirectory: <home_dir><url>afp://files.hihllc.lan/Users/jdoe</url><path>/</path></home_dir>
    I unbound the Mac from AD and ran the following command in terminal.
    dscacheutil -flushcache
    I then went into OS X sharing preferences and renamed the computer slightly, so it would create a new computer record in AD. I rebound the machine to AD making sure in Directory Utility Advanced, under User Experience that Force local home directory on start up disk was unchecked and Network protocol to be used was AFP.
    I then ran
    dscl /Search read /Users/jdoe HomeDirectory
    and it returned
    HomeDirectory: <home_dir><url>afp://files.hihllc.lan/Users/jdoe</url><path>/</path></home_dir>
    I had the user reboot... which was necessary. When he logged in HomeSync fired up. He had quite a few conflicts, so I told him to select use files on this computer for all conflicts.
    I checked the FileSyncAgent.logs and it was good.
    Let me know if this fixes your issue.
    Thanks,
    Ray

  • Update an attribute's Min. & Max. Attribute value after opening date

    Hi
    We have created an attribute 'projected price' on a bid invitation. The minimum and maximum attribute values will only be known after all bids have been submitted. So we need to populate the minimum and maximum attribute values after the opening date before running the evaluation report. Any assistance on how we could do this will be appreciatted.

At the time of creating Sales Order Dynamic Credit check not happening coz of Tables S066 not updating. Please provide me Solution.

    Dear Heagal,
    I followed your suggestions and implemented in the Development and moved the changes in to Quality Server. I tested it thoroughly by creating New Customer and maintained Credit Limit. I come to know that Problem is in all Servers. I made 3 changes.
    1. In Pricing Procedure Sub Total A it was not maintained against Net value. I placed it.
    2. Removed Credit groups for Delivery Type.
    3. In OVA8 i maintained Max. Doc Value :99,999,999.00 before it was with 1.00
    I checked the OMO1 Settings it was Asynchronous. As SAP Notes Suggesting to use Synchronous but here it's a client setting. So, It's Can't possible to change. Changes will affect other Company Codes.
    Tested both in DVP and QTY Dynamic Credit Check is working Perfectly and Status in FD33 Sales Value field getting update.
    If i move these changes in to Production, Will i need to run the reports again or not? How it will affect on Old Cusomer Billing and  Credit Limit data. For few of the Customers the Credit Limit data it was exceeded. Please provide me advice. The issue need to be Solved immediately.

  • Custom Report for the Stock and Stock value for a specific date

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    Is there any SAP standard t-code or any logic to get the transcations (additions (for example: Purchases) and subtractions (Sales) to the inventory) for a particular materials in a plant and with Total Stock and also Total Stock value when that particular transaction happened?
    Our system is R/3 4.7
    I looked at the MB5B, MBCE, MBCA, MC44, MB51 and some other standard T-codes but could not find the total stock value at the time of Transaction happened.
    The history tables MBEWH and MARDH  are updated after the month end closing procedures, right, which means I will have the inventory value changing every month if material has Price "S".
    Thank you,
    -Harter

    Hi Harter,
    Unfortunately, you cannot see in a single tcode the value of stock and stock quantity on a specific date. As you yourself have pointed out, we only have to make use of the history table MBEWH, MARDH for the month wise stock quantity and value. Along with that you should also make use of the table MBEW to take teh stock quantity and value. So the total value of stock on a particular date will be
    Stock qnty = MBEWH value until the previous month (for teh specific valuation class, period etc) + MBEW value for the present date.
    But this will nto work out if you want to find out teh stock quantity and stock value on a past date basis. For past data, only  m onthwise data is available. For this anyway you can refer to MC.1 and so on reports.

  • Problem with Stock Value Report

    Hi Experts,
    We use MB5B report to see the opening and closing value of stock for the given period.
    Here i am facing one problem that even i am running the report for the same period ( already closed periods) ans same inputs the system gives me some different valus every time i am running .
    I observed that difference between the opening and closing values for every output is constant.
    What could be the reason that system gives such different values when i run MB5B . No backposting is done.
    Regards, B

    Thanks for replying,
    i have mentioned the
    company code, Plants ,
    Selection date,
    in stock type valuated stock,
    in settings selection
    Totals only - Non Hierarchy Display Layout
    Only Matls Handled in Batches ( But Batches w/o stock segment is not checked)
    It is giving me changed values after every 10-15 minutes.
