Difference of 5900

FX5900 SP-VTD128
FX5900-TD128
FX5900-VTD128
whats the difference between this 3 FX 5900 ?

Yap Yup Yop... That's the info I was looking for too , but in actual fact, the real memory clock speed was somehow at 847MHz instead of 850MHz... And the FX5950U was running at 2.0ns/950MHz!!! Wonder how much the FX5700U was running at...
Sorry for hijacking your thread, PoRsChE... Unintentional...

  • SSHD 5900rpm vs SHD 7200rpm

    Hello
I'm thinking in achieving a OWC Thunderbay IV, and the reseller has a juicy offer that include 4 seagate SSHD hibrid drives.  Taking a closer look, I noticed that this drives only spin at 5900rpm instead of 7200rpm that I've been used to.  I am working editting HD video and need both: fast drives and large amount of storage (big projects, different clients...).  Velocity is the reason because I'm looking for a thunderbolt external storage.
Does anybody know if this difference between 5900 and 7200rpm is going to be a problem working with HD video?...I've read that this hibrid drives are quite fast, but haven't find yet a understandable comparation (for me at least)
    Thank you very much

Files that are accessed from the SSD segment of the drive will load significantly faster, from the HDD they maybe slightly slower, or slightly faster. The density of the drives differs and there may be no significant speed difference between them because of that.
Regularly used files will almost always be on the SSD.

  • Difference between values in 2 rows in SQL query

I have to find the difference between inventory onhand in the same store in week1 and week2.
I tried to do it in one "select" query something like :
SELECT store_id, ( suppose to be function that calculates difference) FROM my_table WHERE week=week1 or week=week2 GROUP BY store_id
however I have no idea how to find the difference between the valuues in two separate rows.
    thanks in advance.

If you have only two weeks in your data. This can work.

  • Fx 5900 Zt

Well, I got a new Geforce 5900 ZT (asked for an XT but that's another story!!)
After putting the card in the system, and booting up, all is well.  BUT, as soon as I put the proper Geforce Drivers on from the MSI Installation disk I reboot as instructed.  This is where it all goes wrong - I get as far as windows blue bar going across the screen then the display goes into standby, the computer has booted up all the way to my log in I am sure - but I can't see any of that of course because the screen is dead.
Putting back the old Geforce 2 Ti works just fine again.
One thing, this computer does the same thing with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro too, exactly the same thing??  The only difference between the two 'mdern' cards is that they are more power hungry and the old one is a baby.
I reckon (I may be wrong) but I reckon my pissy 300 Watt PSU may be doing this What do you guys think?

You may be on to something as far as an incompatability issue, however, the only way to test that theory is to have lots of hardware to test with that a system builder or tech would. Unfortunately the enthusiast runs the risk of not being able to properly troubleshoot an issue.
I suggest trying the card in a different PC to see if the problem can be duplicated, for starters.
There also is a possibility that there could be a serious driver conflict.
What I often have to do is Disable System Restore, remove the current driver via the add remove applet in the control panel. Then use http://www.drivercleaner.net to clean the drivers, shutdown, remove power from the PC, remove the old card, install the new card, and restart, ignore the found new hardware wizard, go to the folder where I downloaded  nVidia Drivers and run the installation.
I often have to do this, and it works like a charm 99% of the time. Other times, I sometimes have to reload the OS.
Just yesterday I had a clients PC in, and reloaded the OS from 98SE to XP Pro, I had the exact same blank screen issue, and it turned out that the drivers in SP2 and on MS Windows Update caused the problem. This was an old HP pavilion with a TNT2 Riva card, I could have left the XP drivers in, but I was getting strange behavior, I checked to see what version the drivers were and they were of the 57XX series (clouded memory?) That is simply too advanced of a driver for that card, even if Microsoft deems it as ok, they don't, and can't know every configuration out there. I generally avoid using Wupdate for drivers, as I have been bitten many times, I still harbored the thought that they may have gotten it right, boy was I wrong...how's that for the definition of insanity!
Now, I know from experience that the 45XX drivers work without issue in the same hardware config with many workstations I administer, So I did the same method and it worked. This is just a basic example...
Some highlights are that the latest drivers are not always the best for even a previous generation card. the latest drivers are focused on the current generation's chipset capabilities and often cause problems for older generation cards. It is best to stick to the driver that was made for that genre of card.
    3XXX>GF3
    4XXX>GF4
    5XXX>GF5 (FX)
    6XXX>GF6 U get the idea
In some cases a a game developer mandates a specific driver such as Far Cry's minimum driver recommendation was 53.03, last I checked. That is the only time I consider stepping out to try anything new, unless I see something on a review or a forum somewhere that might influence me to try the latest.
The drivers CD that accompanies the hardware is better left in the box, I prefer to go to the source (in this case nVidia)
    Go here for  nVidia Drivers
Go here to find previous versions that may work better with your card http://ftp://download1.nvidia.com/windows/
Also, you never mentioned the make/model/manufacturer of the PSU.
    550 watt's tells me nothing. Hope it's not a Q-Tec

    or leave post reply.

Seems like we'll have to wait for someone to tw33k the VGA BIOS for MSI's FX5900 series VGA card... Else I'll be stuck with my paperweights VGA cards now...
I want to see better results on my MSIs' FX5950U vs FX5900U vs FX5900 non-U... Till date, the best card I've o/c'ed is the FX5950U at 1.05GHz, FX5900U at 990MHz and FX5900 non-U at 950MHz...
Though it seems that the memory clock has the capability to o/c even more one after another but the 3D clock is still not more than 560MHz for all 3... and 3DMarks no big difference... Maybe due to my system's bottleneck problems also...

  • Upgraded from MSI Ti4400 to FX 5900 XT - 5900 *slower* !

    Hi.
I've just upgraded my Ti4400 to the FX 5900 XT (both MSI one), and the 5900 is giving me worse performance than my Ti4400 did! [3dMark2001 benchmark - only 11,000!) I've also tried plugging in an ATI 9600 non-pro, and that does better too). Can anyone think of what might be going on?
I have an Asus A7V333 motherboard - I've just downloaded the latest bios and VIA chipset, plus the latest nvidia drivers. Sure, it only supports 4x AGP, but I wouldn't have thought it would have made that much difference - and the ATI 9600 is an AGP 8x card too, and does better!
I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this.... Does anyone have any suggestions?
    (Rest of my spec: 1GB PC2700 RAM, AMD 2200+, 7200 RPM 8MB cache hd's...)
    Thanks,

jbaroli: I thought the main idea of a graphics card was to offload all the work from the processor? Sure, i wouldn't expect it to be running at full capacity, but shouldn't it still be performing better than the ti4400?
Kingfisher: Powerwise... I've only got a 250W PSU .... but wouldn't the graphics card complain if it was suffering from low power? (like it did when I didn't give it the additional power at all?)

  • The Difference Between?

Ok so I believe I know the answer here but asking anyway.
What is the difference between the adobe creative cloud team license vs the adobe creative cloud enterprise license?
is the team licence basically individually licences products per account users?
and is the enterprise one license that covers multiple users at once?
Thanks and sorry for the question but had to verify.

    Hi tbirdbrent ,
Thank you for posting on the forums, the answer to your question is as follows.
    1) Creative Cloud for teams brings together the very latest Creative Cloud desktop apps, updates and upgrades the moment they’re released, and all of the services and business features your team needs to create their best work and collaborate with their peers. Adobe offers two Creative Cloud for teams plans — you can opt for a complete plan (all apps and services) or a single-app plan such as Photoshop CC (access to one app and select services). With each option, you’ll receive access to the same easy-to-use web-based admin console that allows the administrator to centrally purchase, deploy, and manage all seats across your organization — whether single app or complete — under one membership agreement.
    2) Creative Cloud for enterprise is for organizations with large deployments that require centralized provisioning and customized deployment of apps and services. Enterprises also receive enterprise customer support and expert services. Creative Cloud for enterprise also works with Digital Publishing Suite; Adobe Anywhere for video; and Adobe Marketing Cloud, which includes Adobe Experience Manager — all sold separately.
Also, the team licences is not individually licences products per account users and the same goes with the enterprise license.
    Thanks,

  • When would I use an if, for or while statement in Small Basic and what is the difference between the three?

I have a Y9 Computer Science Exam next week and I know that this will probably be one of the questions on it so I need to know the answer. What is the difference?

An If statement executes once IF the statement is true:
    If 1 = 2/2 Then
    Textwindow.writeline("True")
    EndIf
A While statement executes WHILE the statement is true:
    While 4 = 2+2
'Will keep looping while it is true
    EndWhile
A For statement loops a number in increment:
    For i = 1 to 10
'Every time through, i gets bigger by one until it equals 10
    EndFor
It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'" Romans 14:11

    HI,
Here is a brief description of difference between SY_TABIX and SY_INDEX and using them with several conditions.
    SY-TABIX
Current line of an internal table. SY-TABIX is set by the statements below, but only for index tables. The field is either not set or is set to 0 for hashed tables.
APPEND sets SY-TABIX to the index of the last line of the table, that is, it contains the overall number of entries in the table.
COLLECT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the existing or inserted line in the table. If the table has the type HASHED TABLE, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
LOOP AT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the current line at the beginning of each loop lass. At the end of the loop, SY-TABIX is reset to the value that it had before entering the loop. It is set to 0 if the table has the type HASHED TABLE.
READ TABLE sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line read. If you use a binary search, and the system does not find a line, SY-TABIX contains the total number of lines, or one more than the total number of lines. SY-INDEX is undefined if a linear search fails to return an entry.
SEARCH <itab> FOR sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table line in which the search string is found.
    SY-INDEX
In a DO or WHILE loop, SY-INDEX contains the number of loop passes including the current pass.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
    Pavan.

  • What is difference between sy-index and sy-tabix and where both are using ?

what is difference between sy-index and sy-tabix and where both are using ?

    hi nagaraju
sy-tabix is in Internal table, current line index. So it can only be used while looping at the internal table.
sy-index is in Loops, number of current pass. This you can use in other loop statements also (like do-enddo loop, while-endwhile)
    SY-INDEX is a counter for following loops: do...enddo, while..endwhile
SY-TABIX is a counter for LOOP...ENDLOOP, READ TABLE...
Here is an example from which you can understand the difference between sy-tabix and sy-index.
Itab is an internal table with the following data in it.
    id Name
    198 XYZ
    475 ABC
    545 PQR.
loop at itab where id > 300.
    write :/ itab-id, itab-name , sy-tabix, sy-index.
    endloop.
    My output will be :
    475 ABC 2 1
    545 PQR 3 2
Sy-tabix is the index of the record in internal table.
sy-index gives the no of times of loop passes.
So, for the first record in the output (475 ABC), 2 is the index of the record in internal table and as it is first time loop pass occured, sy-index value is 1.

  • Difference b/w sy-index and sy-tabix

    hai all,
    Could u explain the difference b/w sy-index and sy-tabix?
    regards,
    Selva

    Hi,
sy-index - For Loops, Current Loop Pass.
sy-tabix - For Internal Table, Current Line Index in internal table.
sy-tabix is used at internal table operations (READ TABLE ... LOOP AT ...), sy-index is used at cycles (DO...n TIMES).
    SY-TABIX:
Current line of an internal table. SY-TABIX is set by the statements below, but only for index tables. The field is either not set or is set to 0 for hashed tables.
it can be set by using the following:
    1.append
    2.collect
    3.loop at
    4. read
    5.search
    SY-INDEX:
SY-INDEX is used to describe the number of iteration with in the DO..ENDDO, WHILE ...ENDWHILE....
    for example,
    DO.
    WRITE SY-INDEX.
    IF SY-INDEX = 3.
    EXIT.
    ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
    it gives output as:
    1 2 3

    Raj.

  • Difference between sy-index & sy-tabix

    Dear friends,
Please tell me the difference between sy-index & sy-tabix
Actually my problem is i don't know how to compare for example between first record'field n and second record'field n when u r in loop so i can take particular action based on result
    on current recor
if possible send me sample code.
    Regards;
    Parag Gavkar.

    SY-TABIX:
Current line in an internal table. With the following statements SY-TABIX is set for index tables. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is not filled or it is set to 0.
    - APPEND sets SY-TABIX to the index of the last table row, that is the total number of entries in the target table.
    - COLLECT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the existing or appended table row. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
    - LOOP AT sets SY-TABIX to the index of the current table row at the beginning of every loop pass. After leaving a loop, SY-TABIX is set to the value it had before entering the loop. With hashed tables, SY-TABIX is set to 0.
    - READ TABLE sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table row read. If no row is found with binary search while reading, SY-TABIX contains the index of the next-highest row or the total number of rows +1. If no row is found with linear search while reading, SY-TABIX is undefined.
    - SEARCH itab FOR sets SY-TABIX to the index of the table row, in which the search string was found.
    SY-INDEX:
