Difference with cascading and trunking

Hi guys ,
What's the difference with cascading two switches and trunking two switches . I believe , you need to trunk , is because , you are carrying multiple vlans through a trunk and cascading two switches is to make two switches become virtualy one . Only management vlan , and not many vlan .
Am I correct , please advice ......

Hi, you have it right, the purpose of trunking is to allow you to extend vlans where you cannot physically install another switch for those vlans for various reasons. For example ideialy you want to have one unique vlan per department so you setup one 48port access switch for users in department-X but cannot do so for department-Y being in same location , here you you can then use trunk from a VTP server switch and a VTP client switc and pass department-Y vlan onto that switch thus having both departments in same switch but different vlans.. here it is assumed there are SVI layer 3 interfaces configured for each vlan if both VLANS need to communicate one another.
On the other hand cascading is simply interconnecting the two switches to be managed using swith cluster techology and no neccesarity need to implement trunking and have it manage through one ip address and mamagement vlan.

Wireless speed difference with WEP and WPA2?

I am connecting to my FiOS router wirelessly, since I was new on wireless networking, I did lots of reading they all say WEP encryption is flawed, and WPA2 should be used instead. So I changed the router's default WEP to WPA2 the same day I got FiOS installed. When I check about 10 of my neighbor's wireless networks, 8 of them using WEP, 1 has Security Disabled(D'oh), and I am the only one using WPA2-personal. My question is will I see any connection speed difference between using WEP and WPA2?

in every day use, your experience will vary. There is more "going on" with WPA and WPA2 than with WEP, such as message checking and encryption key changes for each data transmission, so these, combined with other possibilities inherent in computer-connected-to-internet use, can slow you down. Another factor: There will be more administrative overhead to use WPA or WPA2. such as if you ever have to reset the router (to default settings), the default is WEP, so you have to go into the router to then chage it (or import a config file you previously saved on your PC). AND If you need to call verizon tier one tech support, they only support default settings. Their premium service is called Expert Care.

Problem with CSS11503 and Trunking

I am very new the the CSS world. I've only delt with CSSs that were already up and running in production. I am now attempting to bring up a pair of 11503 with box-to-box redundancy. In order for the pair to operate with b2b one of the Ge interfaces needs to be used for a heartbeat to a Ge interface on the other 11503. With this configuration we are only left with 1 Ge interface per box. In order to achieve the desired result I am planning to trunk (preferably .1q) from Ge1/2 to a 3750 switch. I have applied what I believe to be the appropiate commands but the interface becomes unactive and reachable only via the local segment (I cannot ping outside of the local segment). Here are my configs on the css and the switch. Also, it has occured to me that the CSSs might requrie a full blown config in order for it to be able to accept and respond to ICMP. Please review and advise.

The CSS needs to understand how to get back to the source of the traffic it is receiving. Whether that is a default route or something more specific really depends on your topology/routing policy.
For devices outside the CSS, they will need routes pointing to the circuit and/or content VIP addresses. How many and of what type, again, depends on your design.
If you want to post a diagram or some additional information, I'm sure we could figure it out.

What's the difference with iMessage and SMS when not on wifi?

What's the difference when I use iMessage vs SMS? I know iMessage is only to Apple products. So when my messages uses iMessage when I'm not connected to wifi, would it go onto my data or texting? Thanks

Stock difference between WM and IM

Dear all
I have an issue which relate to stock discrepancy between WM and IM.
the situation is in WM record in booking, we have A product in storage type B. but in IM booking it didn't have.
in fact , we didn't have that product A in warehouse, that mean the WM booking is not correct either.
I tried to make stock counting which move A from storage type B to 999. and put the zero mark in LI11n. now the difference quantity is sitting in storage type 999.
but now how should I move the differnce from storage type 999?

I have a kind of goose skin if I read that one moves stock to 999.
If you do the standard phyiscal inventory, then you clear differences in WM with LI20. this automatically gets the difference to 999. No manual move needed.
and finally you clear the 999 with MM using LI21.
But I still do not really know your situation.
LX23 creates inventory in MM if WM stock is bigger than MM stock.
But if the stock is then equal but wrong in MM and WM, you have to count it again and post the differences with LI20 and LI21.

We’re seeing the following issue: sql - Can Oracle be forced to use the spatial index for sdo_filter in combination with an or clause? - Stack Overflow (posted by a colleague of mine) and are curious to know if this behaviour is due to a difference between standard and enterprise, or could we doing something else wrong in our DB config.?
We have also reproduced the issue on the following stacks:
Oracle SE One 11.2.0.3 (with Spatial enabled)
Redhat Linux 2.6.32-358.6.2.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu May 16 20:59:36 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
11.2.0.3.0 Standard Edition and 11.2.0.4.0 Standard Edition (both with Spatial enabled)
Microsoft Windows Server 2003R2 Standard x64 Edition
However, the SQL works fine if we try it on Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 *Enterprise* Edition.

In my experience sdo_filter ALWAYS uses the spatial index, so that's not the problem. Since you did not provide the explain plans, we can't say for sure but I think yhu is right: Standard Edition can't use the bitmap operations, and thus it'll take longer to combine the results of the two queries (because the optimizer will surely split this OR up in two parts, then combine them).
BTW: when asking questions about queries here, it would be nice if you posted the queries here as well, so that we do not have to check another website in order to see what you are doing. Plus it will probably get you more answers, because not everyone can be bothered to click on that link. It would also have been nice if you had posted your own answer on the other post here as well, because my recommendation would have been to use union all - but since you already found that out for yourself my recommendation would have been a little late.

Office 2013 installed with KB2817430, windowsupdate still finds KB2850036. difference between KB2817430 and KB2850036

I've made a silent Office 2013 installer with /admin and put SP1 MSP's in the updates folder.
After deployment under installed updates it shows: Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2817430) 32-Bit Edition
But when I check for new updates, "ServicePack 1 for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2850036) 32-Bit Edition" is ready for download and install.
What is the difference between KB2817430 and KB2850036?
It seems that I cannot download KB2850036 and also integrate it in the silent installation.
Another question: Is the updates folder from Office only for servicepacks? or can I put also updates and patches MSP files in here? If yes then i've got a lot of files with the same name and different files sizes. For example After extracting SP1 I've got
the file "proofsp-en-us.msp" which is 10MB and when extracting another patch also i've got a proof-en-us.msp and is 8MB.
So which one need to go in the updates folder?
Can anyone help me out?

As can be seen from below KB articles, KB2817430 only contains Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Office 2013, whereas KB2850036 also contains Service Pack 1 (SP1) updates for other Office 2013 related desktop products. For example, Microsoft Office 2013
Language Pack, Project 2013, SharePoint Designer 2013, Office Proofing Tools 2013, etc.:

So if you have any of these products on your computer, Windows Update might offer related updates to you.
Regarding the Updates folder issue, you can put any Office software updates in it during the initial installation, such as service packs or hotfixes. A newer patch might make changes to a specific file, you can check the version number of that file, and keep
the newer one in the folder.

Any mac pc differences with PSE 11 and premier 11

There were a lot of differences between mac and pc versions of 9 and 10. Are there still the same limitations for mac users. Also has the time stamp problem that existed for mac users been corrected? Thanks

What are the organizer problems? The only one I had with PSE9 was the time stamp change when I brought images into the organizer and then each time I edited an image another time stamp change. I assume you can do the slide show in premier but I have been using apple programs for that. Thanks again

Difference of last 2 Rows with Start and End Time

I got the difference of last 2 rows from the above question. But now the table added with one field StartTime. The final table is

Hello,
Picking refers to preparing the right quantity and quality of goods for shipping on schedule as required by the customer.
Once picking is configured, SAP Sd automatically generates picking lists and picking labels which can be tagged to the relevant goods. SAP can be configured to ensure that picked quantity is confirmed before goods are issued. This can be done using transaction code VSTK. In T-code VSTK, picking confirmations can be set, which ensure that goods picked for delivery are in accordance with picking slips.
Picking thus helps in monitoring each item using the picking status. Picking is normally done in SAP SD by a shipping clerk.

Use Decklink SDI and Premiere CS6 to test.
In GPU mode of Mercury Engine, the signal form SDI is 1080i, but even fields will be missing.
Take a simple test:
Make quick slide for reproduce animationin in quadrangle(1080i 29.97), but it can't paly smooth and same gone to 30P.
If in Software mode, the action can be smooth.
Although use Software mode can be ok,but if GPU does not realize,it will take long time to render.

premiere cs6.0.2
blackmagic driver 9.6.4
GTX285
sequence of premiere
Presets/blackmagic/8bit YUV/interlace/59.94i
Have any problems with my System or the GPU mode can no external monitor output in 59.94?
