Differences between 2004 and 2005 libraries

Hi all,
where can i find information on the differences between the 2004 and 2005 .dll files?  Can someone post a link or URL to it?
Thanks

Noor,
If you are talking about the DI & UI Api the best place would be to look at the help files. The new objects, methods, etc. for 2005 are indicated in the help files and that way you'll know what new functionality you have.

  • Difference between fl and flash libraries?

(new to cs3 - java expert...)
I'm trying to write some action script to set the default
focus of a text component when the applications run...
It seems there is a fl.managers.FocusManager that
could/should do it... but for some reason, I cannot import that
package into my AS. I can import an arbitrary
    flash.<something>.somthing.
Question - In the AS editor, there is a menu (plus sign (+)
icon) with all(?) the available packages/classes, languange
constructs, etc. Should I be able to use them all? Is there a
difference between "fl" and "flash" - assuming "fl" is for Flash
just like the product logo "fl"?
    thanks a bunch.

    Craig,
    > Is there a difference between "fl" and "flash" -

The fl packages are top level classes based on ECMAScript,
    while the
flash packages are specifically Flash Player APIs.

Are you writing timeline-based code, or a class file? Have
    you tried
the sample code shown in the FocusManager entry of the
    ActionScript 3.0

  • Difference between 2004 and 2004s

    hi everybody,
I had developed an application in 2004s,I am trying to deploy it in 2004 application server.I could not able to run the application .I am getting following Error.
    Cannot Resolve WDEventHandler.
Is there any alternative way, please suggest, its required
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Load the project in NWDS 2004 version that is the same as your 2004 application server.
    Do the following:
    1) Right click on project name -> Repair -> Project Structure and Classpath for resolving
    2) Compile
    3) Deploy
If you used new API in the project the compile step will not work and you'll need to use older API.

  • AddOnRegDataGen.exe of version 2004 and 2005

    Dear Experts/Gurus,
Are there any differences between AddOnRegDataGen.exe of version 2004 and 2005 especially for add-on developed
by partner or customer ? if yes, what should I do to my add-on ? I just did the following steps:
    1. Recompile the add-on after put identifier string generated using add-on identifier generator in SBO 2005A
    2. Creating registration file using AddOnRegDataGen.exe of version 2005 after created installer
    3. Regiter the add-on using add-on administration
Did I miss something beside the above steps ? because the add-on can not run in the SBO 2005. The add-on is developed using SDK SBO 2004A. I appreciate your answers. TIA
    Rgds,

    Hi Steve,
Some new fields were added between versions 2004 and 2005. But if you open the AddOnRegDataGen.exe window you will be able to see if something is not filled in your addon.
Where are you having problems? While installing or when trying to run your addon? What is the error message?
The steps you did are right:
    1. Recompile addon with 2005 references
    2. Create installer.exe
    3. Create .ard
    4. Register addon in B1
AddOnInstallAPI.dll has also changed between 2004 and 2005 versions. It should work without any changes but you better change your installer to avoid problems in following versions.
Are you using B1DE to generate your installer? You can download B1DE tools from B1 main page, SDK tools page.
    Hope it helps
    Trinidad.

  • What is the difference between mySAP2004 and SAP ERP 2004?

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me what is the difference between mySAP2004 and SAP ERP 2004?
If someone has the document, then please mail me at [email protected]
    With Regards

    Hi Tiffny,
actually I don't see a difference as "mySAP2004" is not an official name for anything
There is "mySAP ERP 2004" which is the marketing name for a bunch of functionality provided by several different bits of software components.

  • Difference  Between Provide and RP-PROVIDE-FROM-LAST  in ABAP-HR

what is the Difference Between Provide and RP-PROVIDE-FROM-LAST  IN hR. IF I want to retrieve data in BETTWEEN BEGDA AND ENDDA. what these 2 ill return.
Both ill return the LAtest record. plz  let me know what ill happen.
      With Regards,
       Venkata Suresh K

PROVIDE is like a loop statement and it reads records between BEGDA and ENDDA. There is a lot to it, you can read doc...
RP-PROVIDE-.. _> This is like read table.
It is similar to : Sort itab descending. read itab index 1.
If you want data between BEGDA and ENDDA and you have 2 internal tables, you can use PROVIDE. Otherwise, you can use a normal LOOP statement. Provide is helpful if you want to get data from more than 1 table.
For eg: Infotype 0000 has 2 records from 1.1.2000 to 1.1.2006, and 2.1.2006 to 31.12.9999, and Infotype 0185 has 1 record from 1.1.2005 to 31.12.9999.
If you use a provide BETWEEN BEGDA and endda in this case, it will run through the loop 3 times with these dates :
    1.1.2000 to 31.12.2004.
    1.1.2005 to 1.1.2006
    2.1.2006 to 31.12.9999
If a record is not there in one of the internal tables during the date, there is a PNNNN_VALID flag which is filled up (4.6c) and in mySAP onwards, you have explicit valid flags.
Hope it helps. Please reward points if helpful.
    Regards.

  • Difference between CHAR and VARCHAR2 datatype

Difference between CHAR and VARCHAR2 datatype
    CHAR datatype
If you have an employee name column with size 10; ename CHAR(10) and If a column value 'JOHN' is inserted, 6 empty spaces will be inserted to the right of the value. If this was a VARCHAR column; ename VARCHAR2(10). How would it handle the column value 'JOHN' ?

The CHAR datatype stores fixed-length character strings, and Oracle compares CHAR values using blank-padded comparison semantics.
Where as the VARCHAR2 datatype stores variable-length character strings, and Oracle compares VARCHAR2 values using nonpadded comparison semantics.
    This is important when comparing or joining on the columns having these datatypes;

    Hi,
The data will be replicated in the same way as we do in 3.5.

  • What is the difference between upgradation and migration.

    Hi Guru's
what is the difference between upgradation and migration.
actuallly i involved in upgradation project, here my role is
    1. first i check the query's in 3.5 save the query and transport the query. and check the query in bex analyzer also.
    2. go to BI .7  find the query;s ,give the query name and save the query ,
    3. once save the query, again will come to 3.5 open the query , it will not open. this is my job here,
come to 7.0 check the query in analyzer also.
i am having littile bit confusion, how it will comes query in 7.0, why are u saving the query's in 3.5 and 7.0
query's already available in 7.0 why are u doing this work?
can i know the upgrades those  objects, is it neccessary, if necessary how can i upgrade.
infoobje , transferrules, transferstructure ,infosoure, datasoure, updaterules, ods, cubes.
    Points will be Assingned ,
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
I was talking in a general sense not on a query level.
If your taling about migration in that level meaning as a part of larger upgradation (in your case 3.x to 7) there may be many places where you need to do this kind of activities.
Fr eg migration into new data flow, Migration of Web templates from BW 3.x to Netweaver 2004s, etc
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • What are the differences between api and sdk

    Hi,
Could anybody clarify for me what are the difference between API and SDK? I googled for the answer, and couldn't find any thing on this topic.
    Many thanks in advance.
    javasfan

Is it correct to say that "a SDK includes all the
APIs"? or "API sits on top of the SDK"?It's a bit weird to say either. First, the JDK doesn't include all APIs. Just the J2SE core API. Others, like 3rd party libraries or J2EE are not included. Second, if you mean the API docs, they're also not included IIRC.
It'd technically only be correct to say "the SDK provides an API", I guess. The example is very lame, but: if the SDK is a machine, the API is the sum of its buttons and levers and gauges and intakes and outlets and exhausts. The API docs are the manual.

  • Difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures

    Hi,
What is the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures and under what conditions they are used. What is snapshort and where it is used.

    Hi.............
Basically the key figures are of two types cumulative and non cumulative.
Cumulative are the normal one which you use always and they always bring the new values of the key figures in the delta that is if suppose A has value 10 and after change the new value is 20 then you will use cumulative key figures there, and your delta( new value) will bring 20.
but suppose your key figures field only the change in the prior value that is in this case the delta in the key figure value will bring 10 (20-10- change of 10 )as new value in the key figure A then you will have to model it through the non cumulaitve key figures.
    Now
    1) Cumulative is for the first case that is if the key figure alwyas brings the new values of the key figure and not the change sin the key fiures value.
2)NCum. value with NCUM value change:
In this case ther is only one field which brings the changes for a particualr key figure and you ahve to define that key figure as non cumulative.
Ex: In case of stock only one filed brings both ingoing value and outgoing value so 10 ,-4,100,-34.....
In this case you will this option and use the key figure here in the space provided.
    3) In this case you haev two separate key figures one for the inflow of stocks and one for the outflow of the stocks.
you use one key figure for the inflow and one key figure for the outflow.
The main key figure autiomatically takes care of the logic and gives the correct output upon the summation
net value of stocks( inflow- outflow).
Also do remember in this case the key figure for inflow and out flow are the basic key figures that is cumulative key figures.
A non-cumulative is a non-aggregating key figure on the level of one or more objects that is always displayed in relation to time. Examples of non-cumulatives include headcount, account balance and material inventory. here the aggregation of key figure is based on the another info object
There are two different ways to define non-cumulative key figures:
    • Non-cumulative key figure with non-cumulative changes:
Before you can define the non-cumulative key figure, an additional cumulative key figure containing the non-cumulative change must exist as an InfoObject.
    • Non-cumulative key figure with inflows and outflows
There has to be two additional cumulative key figures as InfoObjects for non-cumulative key figures - one for inflows and one for outflows. The cumulative key figures have to have the same technical properties as the non-cumulative key figure, and the aggregation and exception aggregation have to be SUM.
    Features of non-cummulative key figures
    A non-aggregating key Figure.
Records are not summarized for Reporting
Exception Aggregation is being applied on these key figures on the level of one or more info objects usually with time .
Examples: Head Count, Account balance, Material stock
    consider simple senario
Date Net Stock Quantity Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 40 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 25 3000
this is the query output if stock quantity has treated as cummulative and non-cummulative key figures
if stock quantity taken as a cummulative key figure
Date NET STOCK QUANTITY SALES REVENUE
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 100 6000
in the above result the key figure has aggregated to the total value that wont give sense to the net stock quantity
if stock quantity taken as non-cummulative key figure
Date Net Stock Quantity (LAST) Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 20 6000
    Hope this helps you..............

Could someone explain, in simple terms, what is the

A JDK is a set of tools for Java development including compiler, runtime system and standard libraries. J2EE is the enterprise version of the Java technology platform (it's one of three). To use it you download the proper JDK's.
