Difference between implicit and explicit enhancement points
Hi Folks,
I had learned many documents to findout the difference between explicit and implicit enhancement point.I got the theoritical knowledge on that but losing on the practical side..
Can anybody help me out with one real time scenario where the explicit enhancement points have been implemented and the step by step procedure to implement it..
Hoping for the positive response from you..
Regards,
Rohan.Hi Rohan,
In implicit they are available at the beginning of subroutines defined in the standard reports.
Edit-> Enhancement operations->show implicit enhancement options.
This will highlight all the implicit enhancements in the report.
In Explicit enhancement we have two different types of enhancements -
Enhancement point and Enhancement section.
Enhancement point - SAP has some standard functionality defined for a report , but it may be required that you'll need to add your own code. In this case the code that you'll add will be executed along with the standard code.
Enhancement section - SAP has its standard functionality defines but it may not suit your requirement, in that case you may need to add your code and you'll need that code to be executed only. By this method the existing code is automatically commented and a copy of the same code is available to edit.
After executing the report only your code will be executed and the standard code will be bypassed.
For Practicle implementation, follow this link.

Difference between IS and AS in procedure?
difference between IS and AS in procedure?
prakash wrote:
hi,

Here you get everything ..
functionality wise there is no difference between IS , AS of a procedure .
Thanks,
P PrakashI think oracle document do not talk about the Difference or No Difference between IS and AS. So i feel this is not a question that need to be pointed to the document.
To OP
Basically as others said there is no difference between them. They are just gramatical representation.
For example when i create a standalone stored procedure i tend to use AS and when i create a procedure inside a package i tend to use IS. Its just the choice you can make. -
What is the difference between ERP2004 and SAP 47 Enterprise?
Currently we have SAP 47 Enterprise with WAS 6.2. I understand ERP2004 is NW and 6.4 sp9. Can any one please let me know the major difference between ERP2004 and SAP 4.7 Enterprise ( more from abap / workflow view)?
Thanks
SwamyFrom Abap point of view some of the major add-on in erp2004,netwever :
1) Development of webdynpro studio for java development for portal and iviews.
2) Major abap development uses <b>Abap object oriented</b> methodology, rathet hten old conventional Abap,i.e MVC model (Model,View,Controller) where in it uses concept of classes, interfaces, etc.
3) Advanced BSP tech using MVC model to develop web based modules
4) It is closesly integrated with web-based CRM and BW/APO -
Differences between C350D and C350
Hello,
what is the differences between C350D and C350?
ThanksHi There,
C3x0D was designed as an outbound only box, the idea being that your internal servers would send mast amounts of mail to the C3x0D and we process and deliver.
The main differences are:
1: Multiple IP Interfaces
Deliver from 256 source addresses to minimise rate limiting issues
2: Configurable Source IP per destination
Nominate specific source IP for certain destinations
3: Virtual Gateways
10,000 Concurrent connections, delivery queue per destination
4: Domain Key signatures
Validate you are the trusted source of the mail
5: Destination Controls
Control delivery rates to suit ISP acceptance policies
6: Configurable Bounce profiles per destination
Customize retries and delay periods for differing destinations
7: Message and Content Filters
Apply disclaimers, unsubscribe information and tracking headers
8: Optional Sophos engine
Ensure clean mail only is sent
More information on the support portal regarding C350D, or messenger me and I will send you the pdf.

What is the difference between cumulative and non cumulative keyfigures?
Hi Friends
What is the difference between cumulative and non cumulative keyfigures, when we r using the cumulative and non cumulative

See the following threads
non-cumulatives KF in reporting
Re: use of non cumulative keyfigure
Re: When do we use Non-Cumulative values?
Key figures:
1. Cumulative Vaules
2. Non Cumulative Values
Cumulative Values:
Cumulative Values are Keyfigures for which Keyfigure Values are must posted in every time unit that reported on (= time period specific Values).
Example:
Revenue
Non Cumulative Values:
Non Cumulative Values are Keyfigures for which KeyFigures are only evaluated for selected time Periods.
Cumulative Keyfigures With Exception Aggregation:
It's a 'normal' KF (with summation, min or max as aggregation behaviour), but you set some exception in this behaviour...for example, you can say that a KF, normally aggregated by 'summation', have to show the max value (or the average, or '0' or something else), that is the 'exception aggregation' when you use it in combination with 0DOC_DATE (or other char), that is the 'exception aggregation char reference'...in this case OLAP processor give to you the possibility to see your KF with different behaviour depending from you use 0DOC_DATE (in our example, MAX) or something else (SUMMATION).
Non Cumulative keyfigure with Associated Single Delta:
If you have a stock KF that is fed from only one (other) movement KF that can assume positive and negative sign.
KF1 (initial) STOCK (non-***.) = 100
KF2 flow = -30
KF2 flow = 70
KF1 (final) STOCK (non-***.) = 140
Non-cumulative key figure with associated in and outflow:
This is the case of 2LIS_03_BF KF stocks fields.
Here, we have the same situation in point 2, but you will have not only ONE flow KF, but TWO, one dedicated to in and another one dedicated to out !
You have to use this scenario if you have no KF that have positive and negative sign, but two KFs each one representing positive (in) and negative (out) logical sign!
KF1 (initial) STOCK (non-***.) = 100
KF2 (out))flow = 30
KF3 (in)flow = 70
KF1 (final) STOCK (non-***.) = 140

In infoset we can join Infocubes,DSOs,Mater data table. It works on join codition.
For ex: I want to generate a report with cobination of MM and SD field.which are available in my MM amd SD cubes. So that i'll creat a infoset and join these two cubes. Then i can ablle gerenat a required report. But here codition is that 'One common field is must in both cubes' then only it works.
Infocube is a MDM model.

Difference between CAF and GP?
Dear All,
Can any one explain me what is the difference between CAF and GP? what is the difference between the CAF application and webdynpro application? In which senario we will go for CAF development and in which senarion we will go for GP application. Can we deploy the CAF/GP application in Enterprise Portal?
Thanks in advance
With Regards,
BalachanderComposite Application Framework consist of two parts
1. CAF Core
2. CAF GP (Guided Procedure).
CAF core is used to model the the services. Composite Application Framework (CAF Core) service-oriented architecture and the standardized object access allow for uniform treatment of business processes as servicesand business objects independent of the underlying system. CAF Core integrates the elements of all the SAP NetWeaver integration layers to facilitate the creation of new business solutions across people, information, processes and application object repositories. Composite Application Framework Core (CAF Core) is an environment for building andrunning packaged composite applications (PCAs) such as SAP Collaborative Cross Applications (xApps).CAF Core supports the development of new business solutions across people, information, and processes by unifying elements from all layers of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.
CAF Core is a comprehensive environment, which includes programming abstractions, a
programming model, metadata, and tools to support the development and deployment of
composite applications based on Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA). This environment
allows developers to build applications, which leverage the whole SAP NetWeaver stack
without the need to feed low-level APIs. This way, they can focus on implementing the
business logic of a composite application. SAP CAF comes with predefined generic patterns
for reuse in different development projects.
CAF Core consists of the following main elements:
Composite Application Services perspective, which includes a tool for modeling entity,
application, and external services
Configurable user interface components
CAF Core administrative tool
CAF Core and SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) integration.
CAF GP (Guided Procedure) : CAF GP is used for process or orcastration. Anything you want to integrate with GP you will firat go through Callable Object. For Each Callable Object has one Action. So callable Object and Action are mapped with 1:1. On the top of Actions you need to create Block and on the top of Block you will Create Process.
Difference between the CAF application and webdynpro application: CAF application CAF Core) is used for modeling services. The services may be local in respect of CAF or remote (like RFC, BAPI, Web Service). But Web Dynpro application is used to develop the UI (User Interface). You can Line your CAF application with Web Dynpro Applicationa and ultimatelly you can expose the web dynpro application as a Callable Object which will be integrategrated with Guiged Procedure. Another ways for developing your UI using VC(Visual Composer), CAF UI Pattern.
If you need more details let me know.
Thanks and Regards

A CONFUSION:The difference between cluster and multi-IP--DNS mapping??
I have a test about simplest cluster, admin and managed server all told me "start
cluster service"!the two IP address use ONE DomainName,If one down, when I send
request with dn,It first look up admin server,no found and then go dns to search
another server, about one minute then the server send response to me!
But when I do not config a cluster, only start two admin server and give them the
same dns,the same appearance as cluster!
I don't understand the difference between cluster and multi-IP--DNS mapping??

It is totally different. regarding the last failover example you've given,
of course the 2 servers can have identical files maintained under
public_html. DNS will failover requests to "foo.html" to the other one if
the first server is down, but if you have something saved in a session, say
shopping cart example, it's totally lost, but with WLS clustering, the
session is replicated to the other server in the cluster, you may just
check-out, don't have to order again.
This is just a simple example of WLS cluster session-replication. WLS
supports EJB, RMI Objects, JMS (6.0) clustering.. check the doc at

Difference between Clustering and Load balancing
What is the difference between Clustering and Load balancing?
For example, We use Cisco Arrowpoint to do load balancing and it works fine for 3
Sun solaris boxes/WebLogic 6.1 SP1.
So what is the value addition to buy clustering license?
Thanks
Selvaraj
Hi.
Among other things, clustering allows you to share app data (such as http session
data) across cluster members, allowing you to failover should one cluster member
crash.
If your app is stateless then this doesn't mean much - load balancing alone would
probably be ok for you.

Michael
