Differences between Satellite A200-1YO & Satellite A200-244

Hi,
I was thinking of buying one of the models, but the images differents sites use to advertise varies on other sites, some have silver keypad, and others black keypad, im awae the main diff is the gfx card but what image is the correct one.
Please help, hope this makes sense lol
Duncan

Hi Duncan,
you cannot always rely on images on websites to dictate your shopping experience, as these websites may not have updated their pages in a while.
My suggestion would be to visit a retail store selling the computer model you are after and view the computers there (After making a note of the computer model number you wish to purchase).
However, for your purposes, A200 (last year's model) had a silver keyboard and the newer models (A300) have a glossy black keyboard.
I hope this helps.

what is the difference between satellite and satellite pro? for example - satellite L100-175 and satellite pro L100-176?

    Hi,
the difference between Satellite and Satellite Pro is the operating system:
    Windows XP Home for Satellite
Windows XP Professional for Satellite Pro
The difference between the models L100-xxx is just the equipment.
    For Example the CPU:
    Sat L100-175: Core Duo T2500; 2.0 GHz
Sat Pro L100-176: Core Duo T2400; 1.83 GHz

  • Differences between Satellite A210-11c model PSAEGE and PSAFGE

    Hi,
Is there any difference between Satellite A210-11c model PSAEGE and Satellite A210-11c model PSAFGE? I have a PSAEGE model and I need the XP drivers. I found some helpful drivers for the PSAFGE model and I don't know if it's ok to install them.
    Thanks a lot!

Can you please tell me where you have founded all those helpful drivers?
Sorry but according all possible documents I have found on the Internet Satellite A210-11C is definitely PSAEGE and I didnt found any with PSAFGE part number. Where you picked up this info?

  • What is the difference between Satellite A300-1EC & Satellite A300-1EG

Why does the Satellite A300-1EC stand dearer as Satellite A300-1EG, but on configuration loses him?
What is their substantial distinction in?
What model of notebook can advise, in this price range?

    Hello
Satellite A300-1EC belongs to PSAG0E group and Satellite A300-1EC to PSAG4E. When this model numbers are different that means they don't have the same hardware configuration.
The first one has Intel 965GM (Crestline) graphic controller. The second one has ATI M82XT (256MB). The HDD capacity is not the same. The first one has 160 GB HDD and second one 250 GB.
So that is the difference between these A300 notebooks.
In my opinion the second one is better. You must make your decision and choose the right one.

  • Differences between Satellite S500-116 and Satellite S500-11R

    Hello,
I would like to buy some of these notebooks fpr my company but I'm a little confused, because the only difference between these models that I found was that the 116 has a HD-Webcam, which I don't care about but still
But then I wonder why the 11R is more expensive....
Please help me because I would really want to choose Toshiba over Fujitsu Lifebook :)

    Hi lt.hotze,
You can compare the specifications of these notebooks on the Toshiba page:
    Satellite Pro S500-11R:
    http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-Pro-S500-11R/1085174
    Satellite Pro S500-116:
    http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-Pro-S500-116/1081285
It seems that both models are designed for the German market
Anyway, they are equipped with the same CPU, RAM, graphic card, etc. The only difference seems to be the webcam, S500-116 has a HD webcam.

  • Few questions about difference between Satellite P70 , L70, S70

Hello, i have many questions about the series P70 , L70, S70 that come with a 1920x1080 panel.
    1) What are the differences between the L70 and S70 series? Except of the HDD capacity and RAM, the notebooks look pretty identical.
    2) Do P70 , L70, S70 support a 2nd HDD or is it just the P70 series that support it ?
    3) Do all three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT Panels ?
    4) Which of the above series supports mSata ?
    5) Do all of the model of each series come with a mSata support? E.g. Could it be that L70-a-13m supports mSata while the L70-a-146 does not ?
    6) All of the above, come with a S-ATA II or S-ATA III interface ?
    7) Which is the best of those series listed ? I am trying to understand what makes the big difference from S70 to P70 except of the casing for example.
    Thank you in advance.

    >1) What are the differences between the L70 and S70 series? Except of the HDD capacity and RAM, the notebooks look pretty identical.
What Sat L70 and S70 models do you mean exactly? There are different L70-xxx and S70-xxx models on the market which supports different hardware specifications.
    >2) Do P70 , L70, S70 support a 2nd HDD or is it just the P70 series that support it?
As you can see in this [Sat P70 HDD replacement document,|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3903II0000R01.htm] the P70 series supports 2nd HDD bay BUT even if there is an 2nd HDD bay this does not mean that you could use 2nd HDD. In case the 2nd HDD bay would be equipped with HDD connector, you could use the 2nd HDD
I found also the [Sat L70/S70 HDD replacement |http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm] document on Toshiba page and there I can see that 2nd HDD bay is not available
    > 3) Do all three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT Panels?
See point 1). Different P70, L70, S70 models were equipped with different hardware parts.
    > 4) Which of the above series supports mSata?
As far as I know only some P70 models are equipped with an 256GB mSATA-SSD.
    > 5) Do all of the model of each series come with a mSata support? E.g. Could it be that L70-a-13m supports mSata while the L70-a-146 does not ?
See point 4) not all models supports the same hardware specifications
    > 6) All of the above, come with a S-ATA II or S-ATA III interface ?
I dont think that SATA III is supported. I guess it would be SATA II
    > 7) Which is the best of those series listed ? I am trying to understand what makes the big difference from S70 to P70 except of the casing for example.
Not easy to answer because there are too many models released in Europea.
And not all models are available in each country. So I guess you will need to look for models which were released in your country.

  • What is the difference between Satellite Pro 4200 and 4300 series?

As mentioned in another thread, I have a SP4220XCDT that died on me.
I bought a mobo from ebay which was from a 4290, and today it arrived, but the problem was that it has a seemingly fixed CPU, which stands out much less from the board than the one on the 4220 board, and therefore does not connect with the cooling mechanism from my 4220.
At least something comes on when I start up now, but unfortunately it doesn't get past the Toshiba screen which tells you to press F2 for boot sequence.
Having also spent money on memory and a new cpu, I don't want to let this one go, and have seen a motherboard available suitable for a 4320/40/60 - anyone know if this will fit in with the rest of my 4220? It doesn't have a cpu so presumably will have the same mechanism as the 4220 mainboard.
I'm assuming that these might be compatible since I have managed to find a pdf of a service manual which covers both the 4200 and 4300, although unfortunately the first page is missing so I dont' know if that highlights any differences.
It's frustrating that there are no pdfs available for these older models, at least with specs on them, and it's very hard to find any info.
As usual, thanks for any help!

    Hi
As far as I know both series uses the Intel Mobile Pentium III microprocessor with MMX?Technology.
    I found out these details:
Satellite 4260 Series: Mobile Pentium III 450MHz
Satellite 4270 Series: Mobile Intel Celeron 500MHz
Satellite 4280 Series: Mobile Pentium III 500MHz
Satellite 4320 Series: Mobile Pentium III 600MHz featuring Intel SpeedStep Technology
Satellite 4340 Series: Mobile Pentium III 650MHz featuring Intel SpeedStep Technology
The notebooks measures should be also the same. So in my opinion it should be possible to use the same motherboard in Satellite Pro 4200 and 4300.

  • Difference between Satellite A500-025 and A500-02F

Satellite A500-02F costs about 10% more than Satellite A500-025.
Is the Satellite A500-02F much better and worth the extra money or are they basically the same . The Satellite A500-02F has a T6066 chip compared to T6065 in the Satellite A500-025 much difference?
The Satellite A500-02F has DDR3 memory, will this make much difference? Any other differences?
    Thanks.

    Hi junglo,
I think you have already answered the question yourself. The Satellite A500-02F has a faster CPU and DDR3 memory. It should be a little bit faster in programs they need a high CPU performance and in games for example.
Its also depending on the programs that you want to use but I would choose the faster model. I dont buy every year a new notebook so I would choose the faster one and 10% difference isnt so much. ;)

  • Difference between Satellite L750 and Satellite L755

    Hi All,
What exactly is the difference L750 and L755 . Isnt it the same thing ?

The Satellite L750-124 and Satellite L755-16T supports the same motherboard.
The chipset is the same but only the CPU was different.
    >But I have to remove my keyboard for the constant beeping sound to stop which comes up during POST in bios.
For me it looks like the POST (power on self test) cannot be passed because of the keyboard.
I would say the keyboard was affected too but if you already tested other keyboards and if this did not solve the problem, I guess the keyboard controller is faulty.
_Regarding the other parts like card reader and webcam._
The webcam module is connected to the USB controller on the motherboard.
In case you did not connect the webcam module properly, the webcam will not be recognized.
As far as I know the card reader is embedded on the system board. So if card reader malfunctions, the connection is defective and system board maybe faulty too.
However, as suggested by Dr.Lamp, after motherboard replacement, the DMI info needs to be updated using special tool. This can be done only by Toshiba authorized service partner.

  • Re: What's difference between Satellite A10 PSA10A and PSA10E?

    Hello all!
Prompt, please, than model Satellite A10 PSA10A from PSA10E differs?
    In advance thanks for answers!

Im not quite sure if the software is identical. You could try to use the drivers from European and from Australian driver page.
But generally its advisable and recommended to use the drivers and tools from Toshiba Australian driver page if you have got a Satellite A10 PSA10A.
If you have got a Satellite A10 PSA10E then you should use the drivers and tools from European driver page.

  • Difference between Satellite L775-111 and L775-13D

These two laptops have the same specs except the 13D is 6GB RAM and 29 pounds cheaper. Am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Geoff

    Hi geoff01,
You can compare both notebooks on Toshiba UK website:
    http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-L775-111/1106842
    http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-L775-13D/1110294
It seems they have the same specifications but the L775-13D has 6GB RAM instead 4GB so I would buy the 13D version :)

  • Re: Satellite A200-1DY: Is there difference between BIOS 32bit & 64bit

I have Satellite A200 laptop and i have a doubt and is if there are diferences between Vista 32 and 64 Bios. Or is the same Bios?
My question is because in the last days i installed Home Premiun 64bit but my Bios is for Vista 32bit but every works fine on laptop.
Should i change the Bios for 64bits or should i let 32 bits Bios?
    thanks

    Hi again ;)
I think there is a difference between both BIOS versions; 32bit and 64bit but please dont ask me what the difference exactly is. ;)
I didnt find any details regarding the differences.
I assume the BIOS 64bit supports some advantages of the 64bit CPUs and the 64bit software but this is only a assumption
However, I think you dont need to switch to the 64bit BIOS version if your notebook run stable and trouble free using the 32bit version.
