Differences between sound car

I'm a little confused. what's the difference between?x-fi xtrememusic and x-fi xtremegaming? And what makes x-fi xtremegaming fidelty pro better, except for the "x-ram", than the ordinary x-fi xtremegaming?

From what I can see and have read, not much is different between the music and gamer cards. Software specifically for music I think is included with the music card. Probably something specific is included for the gamer card the music card doesn't have. Other than that, nothing. And your observation between the fatality and the gamer is pretty much correct. No other differences that I can tell and to me not worth the addition cost as most games do not yet take advantage of the ram, plus creative's shoty drivers especially on Vista made an easy choice for me. Although if I were you, I would seriously look for alternati'ves to any of Creative's sound cards unless you are prepared for major headaches especially if you are running VIsta.

  • What is the difference  between apple care protection plan and apple care

What is the difference between apple care protection plan and apple care +

    apple care protection plan
That is the extended warranty (total of 3 years including the standard warranty for the first year) for any Mac computer.
    apple care +
That is the extended warranty (total of 2 years including the standard warranty for the first year) for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone, etc).
For either, the standard warranty is usually referred to as hardware warranty (not Applecare); see an example for the warranty for an iMac:

whereas the extended Applecare is referred to as that:

  • Difference between Apple Care Protection Plan?

    Hello,
are there differences between the Apple Care Protection Plan for iPad with the id MC593D/A and MC593ZM/B? Is a replace device from Apple badder as a new device from a store?
    Greetings from Germany,
    appbazi

Looking around, it looks like the MC593D/A is the one for Germany and the MC593ZM/B is the one for UK. I have seen different offers for Applecare in many different places and would recommend that you buy the one for your country, I guess in this case it is Germany. I know that Applecare prices in different locations are different but I think that this is one case where you should buy the one that you absolutely know to be correct and that comes from a legitimate dealer/reseller.
I hope that this is of some help.

  • Differences between Sound Blaster Z SB1500 and SB1502 (OEM)

I gather the SB1502 is around $25.00 cheaper in the US, comes without the red shield and the mike. Also, read something about a 1 year warranty instead of 2 and cheaper capacitors. How much of this is true and what other differences am I missing? Thanks!

  • Differences between mcp and mcp t sound

this is all sound sound info direct from a man at nvidia who knows
PLEASE NOTE ONLY MCP2-T BOARD MSI DO AT THE MOMMENT IS THE K7N2G-ILSR
The MCP has no hardware support for audio of any kind, period. Windows and the CPU do all the audio work on that part and there is absolutely no DSP, NVIDIA or otherwise, in that chip to help out. Try to do EAX, any kind of reverb or chorus, or a music preset on those boards and you'll see the CPU usage climb. Ditto if you add more voices to the mix: CPU usage goes up.
The MCP-T has a full hardware audio DSP, hardware acceleration for 2D and 3D streams, and Dolby Digital encode support. EQs, HRTFs, and all environmental settings are exposed and modifiable by the user. None of this is available on the soft solutions due to the heavy hit on the CPU if they were enabled.
Short of that, you can try to use the ASIO or OpenAL drivers. You'll find that neither will work on the MCP because there is no supporting hardware for them. In short, there is no way to coax an MCP to be an APU capable part, the support simply isn't in the chip
    Here's the chip differences:
    MCP has the following:
    - ATA-133 x 2 ports
    - USB 1.0/1.1/2.0 x 6 ports
    - NVIDIA MAC 10/100 x 1 port
    - Legacy I/O bus (PS2, Printer, Serial)
    - AC 97 host based audio (no DSP)
MCP-T includes the above and adds the following:
    - 3Com MAC 10/100 x 1 port
    - 1394A Firewire MAC x 3 ports
    - NVIDIA APU with Dolby Digtal Encoder

thats not to say mcp is bad as this proves
The MCP2 is definately hardware sound. As far as the APU goes the only difference between MCP2 and MCP2-T is the T version has Soundstorm(Dolby Digital). Basically Mcp2-T =5.1 digital output capabilities Mcp2 no digital output, analogue output only. The other differences are the T version Has Dual Lan support and a firewire controller which the plain MCP2 does not. Here are my cpu utilization test results from Audio winbench proving that The MCP2 APU is a hardware APU.

Hi, I'm confused with the the difference of sinad.vi between Sound & Vibration Toolkit and Singal Processing Toolkit.
When the input waveform is single tone, the output is almost the same, but raises much discrepancy while a certain distribution of the spectrum. Does the sinad.vi have some limitation to the input signal? Did I miss some setting of the terminals? Hope someone can give me some suggestion.

  • Apple Care pricing differences between Canada and the US

My iMac is nearing its 1st anniversary and I am considering getting the Apple Care Protection Plan. I noticed that the price for this Plan in the US is $169 but in Canada it is $199.
The Canadian and US dollars are basically at par with each other. The Plan isn't a product but a service.
I did some spot checks on pricing differences between the two Apple stores and noticed that item are 8 to 10% more expensive in Canada but the Protection Plan is 15% more expensive.
I talked to someone at Agreement Administration. He was helpful but could only say that he too wondered about this price difference but had no information to justify the difference.
Anyone have any additional info on this? While it is only $30, something about it just rubs me the wrong way.

I do not comprehend how apple can charge more for Canadian versions of the same product, when our dollar is worth more!
I mean there is not a single product that costs the same in both the Canadian and American store, and it is not at all as if the price is affected by shipping since we currently get bogged down with a massive shipping cost on top of the excess price!
It is not as if it deprives Americans of some random pride since the UK apple store sells macbook for 699 pounds and not 1099 pounds!
Mac is competing in numerous markets, and with their products coming at a premium anyways, why not be cutting edge and make the Canadian price less.

  • Difference between *.SAR and *.CAR files

    Hi everyone,
What is the difference between *.SAR and *.CAR files?

    hi Veera
These are similiar to .zip for SAP components...
.SAR supports version of SAP above 4.6c onwards
whereas .CAR supports version of SAP before 4.6C
whenever you want to download kernel patches basing on the version of SAP these files come either in .SAP extension or .CAR extension...
please awards points if you find this useful

  • What's the difference between SmartNet Total Care, and SmartCare?

    Has anyone here used SmartCare?
What was your experience like, and would you recommend it over SmartNet Total Care?

I can't answer about the customer experience of using Smart Care, but I can help provide some guidance on the differences between the two services.  Hope this helps.
Smart Net Total Care and Smart Care are both smart support services and both include Cisco’s award winning support, including technical support, hardware replacement, knowledge base access and OS upgrades.  There are three main differences—first line of support, size of the network and offer customization.
For first line of support—Smart Net Total Care support is provided directly through Cisco, the customer technical support is provided by the Cisco TAC.  Smart Care, on the other hand, is sold and supported through a qualified Cisco Partner, so the customer would get their first line of support from the partner (the partner can work with Cisco TAC if needed).
For targeted network environments—Smart Net Total Care has been designed to support large, dynamic networks.  It is able to support tens of thousands of devices.  Smart Care is targeted to mid-sized customers—from 10’s up to 1000’s of devices.
For customization—Smart Net Total Care is a defined service with a well-defined list of capabilities, which include technical support (TAC, OS updates, hardware Replacement and cisco knowledge base), and smart capabilities (installed base and contract management, alerts, device diagnostics).  Smart Care has a base level of capabilities, but the partner can choose to add specific features and functionality to meet their customer’s needs.  The base functionality includes the technical support and smart capabilities of SNTC, and also has additional features designed for smaller networks—monitoring, disaster recovery, and technology assessments.
Bottomline, you will need to evaluate the Smart Care offer that your partner provides and compare it with what Smart Net Total Care can offer to see which best meets your network and business needs.

  • Sound difference between an ipod classic 160gb 2009 and an ipod 80gb

    hi
iv had my ipod classic 80 gb since 2007 and just a couple of weeks ago i bought a pair of dr dre headphones solos and i tried them out on an ipod touch and the sound is much better and i was wondering if the sound would be better is i bought the newest ipod classic?

I have the Dr Dre beats headphones as well. I have the 160GB iPod Classic (2007) and I have the 64GB 3g iPod Touch. I think that the sound out of the iPod Classic is crisper and cleaner than the sound out of the iPod Touch. I did this comparison using the same settings (Equalizer was OFF) and same bit rate etc. The difference between the two machines was not great either however it was noticeable.
When you compare the two with your Dr Dre Solos are you using the same sound settings on the two iPods? Ensure that the Equalizer is either turned OFF or the same setting is used on both. The other thing is to check and see that the music that is used to compare with is using the same bit rate. In other words make sure that you comparing apples to apples.

  • Difference in sound between Logic on PPC and Intel (64 Bit)

    hi,
I'm using PPC for Logic Pro. Is there any difference in sound between using logic pro on PPC and running it on Intel Macs. I'm not good in tecnical things, but someone told me, Logic would sound better on Intel based Macs, because the system is 64 bit instead of 32 bit on PPC. Is that true? Any experiences?
    Thanx,
    grooveX

    There are no differences!
the "sound quality" is stryctly relted with the Audio equipment.
(the new Intel Xeon processors are faster than PPC... in 2008... obviously... but in 2003/4/5 PPC G5 was much faster than same year 2003 Intel Xeon release
If you work with DAE TDM HD accell in PPC or on Intel the sound will be the same...
obviosly if some update shoot down the compatibilty with PPC side you will cannot use the future upgrades...
if you use a Motu 828 Mk3 the sound will be great... and same as ppc or Intel or Windows and Linux
(but Logic works on Mac... PPC and Intel... is the same... logic is the master of the sound).
Anyway... I think the analog recording studio in the 1970 1990 gives you a super great sound... in some cases the analog recording studio sonds much better that digital studios..
I'm talking about a simple example.. the audio frequency are from 20 to 20.000 HZ... the music quality... (artistically) is not related with the quality of the machine that you use for make it....
I suggest you not follow the mode ... and run to buy the last model .. most often are money thrown to the wind.
if you buy a good new interface.... you are in the rigth way...
but the very important thing is:
MAKE YOUR MUSIC AND DON'T MATTER ABOUT these unnecessary competitions ... is only useful to those who sells computer!
I know people that doing good music with old G4 ...
    ...music with highest quality ...
is not the machine that makes the music .... Only MEN can obtain a piece of art ... even using dirt!

  • IPod touch sound difference between headphone jack v connector?

Is there a volume or output level difference between the earphone jack and the cradle connector?  Seems like lower volume out of the jack
    IPod touch original

    In addition to lllaass's comment...
if your iPod was purchased within the European Union, it will have the EU volume restriction installed on it, which limits the maximum volume from the headphone socket. This is a separate function to the Volume Limit to which lllaass refers. In this case, using the Dock Connector output will be at a higher level than the headphone socket. It must be the Dock Connector output though, not a Line Out from a Docking Cradle.

  • Difference between audigy value and sound blas

Since i am unable to find comparisions between soundblaster 24bit and AudigyValue in site , Anyone can give me the difference between these two ?

Other than the name, not much. Both cards lack the EMU0K/2 chip, and have to do all processing in software (cpu processing instead of on the card). Oh yeah and the Audigy SE has newer drivers than the Value (and will probably install on the SB 24 bit).
All things considering if you are looking at a card for gaming (or just about anything else) avoid both of them.

Yes it is. The Oracle database wasn't initially designed to be ANSI compliant. As you correctly state the ANSI standards weren't around when it was initially designed, so the statement is perfectly correct. ;)Ok, in one sense it may be correct but it is a completely misleading statement. Not sure why you think it's misleading.Because there was no ANSI standard, so making it sound like a design choice The Oracle database wasn't initially designed to be ANSI compliant. would suggest to most readers that there was a standard to be compliant to.
Like saying Ford originally did not design their cars to incorporate safety features such as ABS, seat belts and air bags.
The OP asked "why oracle is having different syntaxes for joins than ANSI syntaxes ?" and the answer is that Oracle wasn't initially designed with ANSI compliance, so it has it's old non-ANSI syntax,As shown above, the old syntax was ANSI compliant at the time and to call it non-ANSI is either incorrect or misleading dependent on your point of view.
and since ANSI syntax became the standard it now supports that. And since ANSI switched to a new standard, Oracle had to implement the new standard as well as the previous ANSI standard would be more accurate in my opinion.
Nothing misleading as far as I'm aware in that.I find the whole discussion about ANSI and Oracle's supposed non-compliance, reads like it was Oracle's choice to deviate from the standards, when it was ANSI's bullheaded decisions to pointlessly change standards that left Oracle and other vendors out of compliance, and that was a decision made solely by ANSI.
This is probably the reason ANSI no longer produces SQL standards, the endless syntax fiddling would eventually have made forward left under outer joins a reality.
