Differences between System Admin ,SPAdmin and Farm admin in terms of day to day job responsibilities

Hi,
Any help on this?
Thanks,
srabon

As per my understanding
1. Sysadmin > System admin is the person who is responsible for System(OS, Hardware, network) related issues in org. He is not concerned more about Applications like Exchange and sharepoint unless he I asked to do so. So you need a daily\weekly plan to
audit systems in the org
2. SPadmin \ Farm admin> This is SharePoint admin who would look into the server farm environment. SharePoint farm include SharePoint server, windows on sharepoint server, SQL, etc. only thing related to sharepoint
Also if anyone is Site collection admin. He should keep tap on site level stuff like audit, issue, size of database, etc
If this helped you resolve your issue, please mark it Answered

  • Difference between System.out.println() and out.println()

    Hi,
    In JSP we want to write the JNLP file contents to a ouput stream using "out.printl()".
    The content of the JNLP file i am having in a String.
    The "System.out.println()" is printing the correct JNLP file contents but "out.println()" writing wrong contents which are taken from Server JNLP file.
    How to solve this problem?
    Please guide me in this.
    Thanks and Regards:
    Dheeraj

    Where is the "System.out.println()" running from? I don't think your problem has anything to do with the difference between System.out.println and out.println. Both methods print what is passed to them. It sounds like you are printing two different files because you are running in two different environments.
    JSPs run on a server and only have access to files on the server or on a network the server is on. If you are trying to print a file on a user's system, JSP can't do it.

    with system level privilege user can create objects such as creating tables,view,synonyms etc
    where as in object privilege we can only manipulate operations on object i.e perform dml not ddl There are some system privileges that only concern manipulating objects: SELECT ANY TABLE, for example.
    The main difference is that the system-level privileges tend to cover all objects of a certain type, including objects that haven't been created yet.
    Object-level privileges usually apply only to one specifi object, such as one particular table, and are lost if the object is dropped. (For example, if I create a table called table_x, give you SELECT pivileges on it, then you can query my table. But if I then drop table_x and re-create it, you will not be able to see it unless I grant the privilege again.)

  • What is the difference between System.out.println() and System.out.print()?

    Hi everyone,
    I am only a new comer and know very little about Java. I will appreciate a lot if anyone teaches me what the difference between two method println and print is? Thank you so much.

    The PrintStream class defines a number of print() methods that ... print
    things. System.out is a commonly used PrintStream.
    The difference between the print(...) and println(...) methods is that the
    second one prints a new line at the end. What it actually prints varies
    from system to system: sometimes it will output a '\n' sometimes not.
    There is a system property called line.separator that determines
    how a new line is output.

  • Difference between SAP XI Dev and XI Admin

    Hi,
    I have worked as SAP basis Administrator and also into HR Security area. However I intend to learn XI/PI 7.0.
    I need to know the difference between XI Dev and xi Admin. To my knowledge, XI Dev involves the knowledge of either ABAP or Java. Can anybody help in finding out what prequisites do we need to get into Admin site of it.
    Also the scope for Admin professionals.
    Your response will be appreciated <removed by moderator>

    Now a days there is much compition in the SAP XI/PI development(Technical consultants...).
    Every ABAPer and Java guy is learning XI/PI.
    I don't know your technical ablities - I don't think so, U can develop ABAP/Java objects as like as ABAPer/Java guy.
    If U know the ABAP/Java already, thats different story. U can start learning XI/PI easily.
    As a Basis consultant, comming to Development area, preparing resume... and getting job is........ it seems little bit tuff.
    Better you focus in NW admin only. Market for NW admin will be pertty much good( with multiple skills like DBA, all NW components installation knowledge - like APO, CRM, X-Apps...

  • Difference between work bench request and customizing request

    in abap point of view please give me the difference between work bench request and customizing request

    In simple terms -
    Work bench Request is used by ABAPer.(Creatation of Programs, TCodes or ABAP Dictionary Objects)
    Customizing Request is used by Functional Consultants. (Used to configure the system as per clients Business requirements).
    The Change Request is that request when you do some thing new in customizing or configuration in the system. The system will automatically pop with the change request pop box , when you can give request name as defined by the system or can give your own request name with heading of what changes you have made while customization. The system will generate a request number and you save it. (e.g.:- VEDK-2785467) VEDK- means the Clients System name then followed by the system generated request number.
    Now when you want to release the request you have to use the T-code SE10 where you can see the requests under the heading modifiable or released. Go to the modifiable option. Each request will have again an internal request number. First you have to release the internal request and then release the external request number. This will in turn released by the basis guys thru the T-code SM64 in a group when all the requests are pooled from different users.
    The task which you have mentioned in your question is nothing but the what task you have performed while customizing the client system and the heading name which have given it for that task and generated a request for that task.

    Customizing Request:- which will be used when any customization changes are doing.
    Example:- In your standard Tcode always you cannot find all the fields or options, if you want to enable/disable some fields, in this case it will be treated as Customizing request, any customization will comes under this.
    Work Bench Request:- for new developments like new reports, BDC....etc, then Work Bench Request will be used.

    Hi,
    As you mentioned there are 2 status can be maintained for documents like Equipment Master, Notification, Maintenance Order & other important business documents.
    In case, client feels that system status is not enough to capture the details of the object, then user status can be used.
    System statuses will be updated automatically based on business transactions which will be done on SAP.
    For example, once the equipment is created, System status would CRTD (Created). If you install the same to some superior equipment or FL, then status would be INST (Installed).
    If you keeping that equipment in Spare, then for that, you have to maintain separate User Status like AVLB (Available in Stock / Spare) so that through IH08, by using User status, you can the report which is available as spare.
    These user status as per the name, should be updated by the user manually.

  • The difference between system restore and last good known configuration

    hi,
    what is the difference between system restore  and last good known configuration.
    in which situation you use system restore ,and in which situation you use last good known configuration.
    very short answer wil be enough.
    thanks
    johan
    h.david

    Last Known Good Configuration deals only with Starting Windows eg. a bad registry or incorrect driver is preventing Windows to start.It recovers the registry settings of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet
    While System Restore uses restore points to return your system files and settings to an earlier point in time without affecting personal files. Restore points are created automatically every week, and just before significant system events, such as the installation
    of a program or device driver. You can also create a restore point manually.You can undone system restore but there is no such option in Last Known Good Configuration.
    Last Known Good Configuration is disabled in Windows 8 or,Windows 8.1 by default.
    Try using Last Known Good Configuration if you can't start Windows, but it started correctly the last time you turned on the computer.
    Try using System Restore to return the system to an earlier point in time when things worked correctly.

  • Differences between System.gc() and Runtime.gc() ?

    differences between System.gc() and Runtime.gc() ?

    None!
    P.S. I have only found one reason to use System.gc(). For some obscure reason it seems that if one invokes System.gc() when a Swing application is about to be iconized it substantially reduces the delay experienced when de-iconizing the application!
    Several reasons for this have been suggested but I have found none that really explain why it works but it does work!

  • Difference between system debugging and update debugging

    hai guru's can any one tell the difference between system debugging and update debugging
    thanx in advance
    afzal

    hi,
    System Debugging
    If you set this option, the Debugger is also activated for system programs
    (programs with status S in their program attributes). When you save breakpoints, the System Debugging setting is also saved.
    Update Debugging
    Update function modules do not run in the same user session as the program that is currently running in the ABAP Debugger.
    These function modules are therefore not included in debugging.
    Only if you select the Update Debugging option can you display and debug them after the COMMIT WORK.

  • Difference between System.err and System.out

    Hi Everyone !!!
    I could see that System.err is printing an output on the screen as like the System.out.
    I can't understand what is System.err.
    Can anyone explain me the difference between System.out and System.err

    System.out.println -> Sends the output to a standard output stream. Generally monitor.
    System.err.println -> Sends the output to a standard error stream. Generally monitor.
    To find the difference execute the following program and see the output. You will see how those streams can be handled differently.
    public class test
    public static void main(String args[])
    System.out.println("Standard output Stream message");
    System.err.println("Standard error stream message");
    Compile the class.
    Run the class
    First Execution -
    java test
    Standard output Stream message
    Standard error stream message
    Second Execution -
    java test >op.txt
    Standard error stream message
    In second execution we diverted only the std output stream and std err stream remained unchanged. i.e., by this way, we can handle error stream separately.
    Another typical use of this stream is to produce log or debug messages at runtime and are diverted them to a file where they are archived for later use.<img class="emoticon" src="images/emoticons/shocked.gif" border="0" alt="" width="16" height="16" />
