Differences between wireless keyboard old and new?

I was thinking of buying a wireless keyboard and appear to have a choice of buying the current model at reduced price (MB167B/A) or wait a couple of weeks for the newer model (MC184B/A).
This is obviously a no brainer - buy the cheaper one!
But what is the difference between the models? Apart from the newer one requires higher system requirements (MacOS X v10.5.8 and Aluminium Keyboard Software Update 2.0).
Many thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Tony

Hi Tony:
Welcome to Apple discussions.
I have an "older" Bluetooth keyboard and it works just fine.
For about 20 bucks, I would buy the older one. I cannot see any difference in functionality.
Incidentally, battery use is an issue that has been discussed in these forums at length.
FWIW, I use 2650 mAH Duracell rechargeables and a 15 minute charger. I have a bunch of rechargeable batteries and I am never longer than 15 minutes from a full charge. Rechargeables do not have the battery life of Lithium ones, but I really do not care for the reasons I indicated above.

  • Difference Between Special Purpose Ledger and New General Ledger

    Dear All,
    Could any boy explain me the difference between Special Purpose Ledger and New General Ledger?
    Regards
    JS

    Hi
    General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL) (New) The central task of G/L accounting is to provide a comprehensive picture of external accounting and accounts. Recording all business transactions (primary postings as well as settlements from internal accounting) in a software system that is fully integrated with all the other operational areas of a company ensures that the accounting data is always complete and accurate. Beyond fulfilling the legal requirements, General Ledger Accounting also fulfills other requirements for modern accounting: - Parallel Accounting General Ledger Accounting allows you to perform parallel accounting by managing several parallel ledgers for different accounting principles. - Integration of Legal and Management Reporting In General Ledger Accounting, you can perform internal management reporting in parallel with legal reporting. For this purpose, the Profit Center Accounting functions are integrated with General Ledger Accounting. Furthermore, you can generate financial statements for any dimension (such as profit center). - Segment Reporting General Ledger Accounting supports the segment reports required by the accounting principles IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). For this purpose, General Ledger Accounting contains the Segment dimension. - Cost of Sales Accounting You can perform cost of sales accounting in General Ledger Accounting. For this purpose, General Ledger Accounting contains the Functional Area dimension. Features General Ledger Accounting comprises the following functions for entering and evaluating posting data: - Choice between group level or company level - Automatic and simultaneous posting of all subledger items in the appropriate general ledger accounts (reconciliation accounts) - Simultaneous updating of the parallel general ledgers and of the cost accounting areas - Real-time evaluation of and reporting on current posting data, in the form of account displays, financial statements with different balance sheet versions, and additional analyses. In this way, General Ledger Accounting automatically serves as a complete record of all business transactions. It is the central and up-to-date component for reporting. Individual transactions can be checked at any time in real time by displaying the original documents, line items, and monthly debits and credits at various levels such as: - Account information - Journals - Totals/transaction figures - Balance sheet/profit and loss evaluations However, SAP still offers to choose between the New GL and the old Classic GL way of accounting. There are certain limitations in the new GL and clients are adopting to the new gl concept.

  • Difference between classic G/L and new G/l

    Hello friends...
    Can anybody list out the difference between classic G/L and New general ledger?

    Hi,
    WE STILL HAVE dummy profit centers IN NEW G/L
    1. Merge FI
    a. Reduced data redundancy
    b. Reduced error for period closing
    c. Harmonized reporting
    d. New General Ledger with reduced total cost of ownership (Faster Close etc.)
    e. Profit Center Accounting is eliminated and is now part of New GL
    f. Cost of Sales accounting is now part of New GL
    g. Special Purpose Ledger is now part of New GL
    h. Reconciliation Ledger is eliminated and is now part of New GL
    i. Segment reporting
    2. Merge FI, PCA & SL
    a. Replacement of special ledger A/C
    b. Enhanced audit ability
    a. Better integrated reporting
    b. Unified Financial & Management Accounting
    c. Extensibility for customer dimension
    3.
    a. Document splitting
    b. Enhanced reporting across Profit center and segments
    4. Parallel accounting
    a. More transparent COA reporting, Auditablity
    What is parallel accounting and its features?
    • Any number of parallel ledgers
    • Online posting to multiple ledger
    • Standard reporting for multiple ledger
    Segment is a part of company that led to expense and revenues.
    Configure New G/L
    Before anything you need to activate them & make the general setting for accounting.
    More, configure the ledger you use in G/L accounting with basic data you setup the integration with controlling (CO) and where applicable to parallel accounts.

  • Wireless keyboard A1016 and new MacBook Pro

    I have searched but can't find whether my old Apple wireless keyboard (white case) is compatible with my new MacBook Pro. My computer finds the keyboard but then asks for a passcode and it doesn't connect. Maybe I need a firmware update??

    {quote}Thank you for your help.{quote}
    No problem. I love my white plastic Bluetooth keyboard with the NUMERIC KEYPAD! I plan on using until I die or Apple offers another Bluetooth keyboard with the numeric keypad. I'm sure there are lots of others that feel the same way.

  • Differences between clear case 23' and new 23'

    I am having a hard time finding the differences between the two monitors. my clear case 23' is about 2 years old.

    Hi Matt,
    First off, KEEP your older ADC display. They have much more natural color
    and don't suffer from the pinkness and blue banding on the new Aluminum.
    I have followed the discussions since August of last year and there is no
    end to the color consistency complaints. In fact, Apple has deleted over 1000 messages regarding this. Why? Hmmm. They threw out a lot of helpful
    hints that could have helped their customers.
    I personally bought and returned 7 Alum Cinema 23 displays. Some from Apple, some from Fry's, and others from UCLA Apple store.
    The case is a beautiful design but the interior is different than the old 23.
    The new ones are brighter, more saturated in color and have 2 Firewire and
    2 USB ports available.
    However, they got rid of the system/start up power button and added a power brick with cables waving all over the place.
    I hopoed they would have solved the production problem by now but it seems
    that too few people are complaining ( graphic designers/video editors ).
    I gave up and just bought a one year old Plastic 23 display for $1000.
    I love it. The only thing I don't like is that the whites are a little yellowish
    due to its lower brightness specs ( 230 nits vs. 270 nits on the new one.
    The way to see the color issues with an Alum model is to set the desktop to
    a neutral gray. Or, simply drag a small image of gray (perhaps open up the little gray jpg located in Library/Desktop Pictures/Solids) across the screen.
    The left side will look a little pink and it will change to a blueish tone as you move to the right.
    Or better yet, open the Apple display calibrator, look at the Apple icon and
    move the window to the extreme left and right.
    It is only visible clearly in these circumstances but most people don't care.
    Considering the price drops it might be nice to get a new one but all I
    know is all the motion graphics studios I work at use the old monitors.
    It also is no coincidence that this past weekend Apple sold out of refurbished
    Plastic Cinema 23 in 24 hrs, while the Alum refurbs just sat.
    Take a look at the specials. They always have something good.
    Good luck to you. Hopefully, I won't be deleted for voicing my opinions.
    I'm a diehard Mac user and really this Alum 23 monitor is the first thing I
    ever complained about.

    I am at the moment on BT Yahoo mail and when i get an email that looks suspicious  like i did this morning from BT Billing [email protected]   I use the ACTIONS tab on the purple bar and select "View Full Header" which then displays details of the email and in this case in showed       Return-Path: <[email protected]>     which it should of been Return-Path: <[email protected]>
    My question is will the new BT mail have the same function that allows me to "View Full Header"
    Mike

    I never saw that option during the field trial, however you can view the headers if you use an e-mail client.
    edit:- I have just looked at the trial account, and there is no option to view headers on webmail.

  • DIfference between TERADATA TVS technology an new TERADATA FOUNDATION Layer

    Experts ,
    what is the difference between TERADATA TVS technology and new TERADATA FOUNDATION Layer technology.
    What are the advantages and disadvantages of each
    Thanks

    Imagine I has a multiprovider that needed to look at process data from R3 and operational data from say a post office tracking system
    The post office tracking system was on a set of non R3 boxes and historically a EDW and reporting marts where built using non SAP products on a Teradata platform
    Within BW you can create a multicube on a BW cube that has the ECC data in it and have a virtual remote cube which reads teradata at run time to get the tracking data for that country etc
    BW does not store the data (why would it need to - it is already stored in the Teradata EDW system) but consumes it at run time in a query
    To read the data at runtime from Teradata you could either write your own function module or you could buy the TVAS module from teradata which does it for you (at a cost) and in teradata's words is optimised for Teradata SQL and handles hierarchies much better etc
    Teradata foundation is a whole different matter - in the case above it would involve you moving your BW box and putting it on Teradata. You coudl benefit from the massive parallel processing within teradata that your infopackges ands DSO activations within your BW LSA layers need.
    Teradata will easily handle its its normal non BW applications tens of terabytes in a very little time and it is normal to rebuild reporting marts from scratch each night rather than deltas due to the actual power of the product.
    How this integration within the  BW application is at this moment I dont know as I haven;t been updated since my last conf call with them.
    So it's horses for courses - if a client has a huge teradata platform already and a oracle BW one it is a door opener to move BW to that
    Or if its a greenfield site with huge and i mean huge data volumes that you need to model within a EDW layer then it might make sense to look at teradata or one of the other MPP database vendors.
    I notice you work in consultancy in presales - so I best leave the rest of the free advice there.. but it gives you a flavour

  • Difference when using old and new PCA datasources

    Hello experts,
    We have implemented the new PCA datasources provided by business content version 3.3. We have built a new infocube (ZPCA_C01) as we were not concerned about the appropriate performance of these new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 0EC_PCA_4.
    After loading the new cube (ZPCA_C01) with the new datasources 0EC_PCA_3 and 4, we made a comparison to the content of the old cube 0PCA_C01, that was loaded with 0EC_PCA_1.
    For thesame period (2005.001-002) there is a difference between the contents of the cubes. When checking the results I found that this may be caused by the fact, that 0EC_PCA_4 does not populate "Total credit postings" and "Total debit postings" fields in the new cube, however, we have a couple of records in table GLPCA, where ACTIV = 'PRC4', and that have a corresponding record in GLPCT, where there is a figure in
    TSL02 field. It results in the fact that>
    - 0EC_PCA_1 extracts the figure from GLPCT for Posting Period 2,
    - 0EC_PCA_4 does not extract the same figure from GLPCA.
    Can you please help me with the above problem? Do you know how Credit and Debit figures get to BW from GLPCA, where ACTIV='PRC4'?
    Thanks,
    Csaba

    Hi
    I am exeuting a trigger and while retrieving a date field from it using :OLD and :NEW variables, it leaves the timestamp part.
    for example,the actual value for start_date field in the table is '10/12/2005 7:04:25 PM', but when I use :NEW.start_date , it returns only '10/12/2005' .
    How to make it return the timestamp also?
    Thanks.How are you determining that it's missing the time component from it?
    If it's a DATE datatype then it will have both date and time components. If you take that and store it in a DATE datatype column then that too will store the date and time components. If you then go and view that data, it will have both date and time components unless you have your local settings (NLS settings etc) set so that dates are displayed without the time portion. That doesn't mean the data is not there, but that you are not displaying it when you query it.

  • What's the differences between connectors the old ones and newest ones?

    i developed an application with tomcat jakarta 5.1-mysql-java servlets, and i had been using the mysql-connector-java-3.1.8-bin.jar connector a little old uh, my question is what is the differences between the last mencionated and this version mysql-connector-java-5.0.0-beta-bin.jar, you say "just the version", i mean, i know there are many changes in the new ones but i don't like the idea to change all my application, and i would like to know what changes i have to do for update and compiling with them. i.e. i always did it like this:

    private final static String pswd = "x";
    private final static String Bd = "x";

    private Statement stmt = null;

    con.setAutoCommit(false);

    stmt.close();
    else System.out.print(" No existe conexion !");
    catch(SQLException e) {
    System.out.print("Error MySQL: ");

    i will apreciate all comments and help, and sorry about my not good english.
    thanks.

That is an object representing a precompiled SQL statement. It is a part of the JDBC API, the same as Statement. There are several situations where the use of PreparedStatement is better than the usual Statement but this does not make the Statement obsolete.
    I would suggest you to read the JDBC tutorial
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jdbc/
    especially the section dealing with the use of PreparedStatement.
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jdbc/basics/prepared.html
    In general, it is better if you go through the complete tutorial and understand the features which are provided in the JDBC API.
    Hope I was helpful.

  • Difference old and new transfer

    I will find out the fifference between old and new transfer process.
    On one hand I know the old works with update rules an inforsource and transfer rules. the new one has an transformation and a dtp.
    also I know that there are update rules for direct writing and update rules for flexible writing.
    direct is for hierarchies also and flexible is to change data before the target.
    So my question:
    I wrote that I need Update Rules when I want to write from master data while loading data into a charakter. I wonder is the name flexible update rule here used in the same way as transformation rule? or do i really have to use the old transfer 3.x?
    At least the question: What is the real difference between direct or flexible update rules and a transformation?
    Why can'T I load a history with a transformation and with flexible update rules? Why do I have to use direct update rules?
    I would be very happy if you tell me that update rules and declaring rules in transformation means the same... but i think it is not like that..

    In BI 7.0 we have DTP to load data. In transformation we have start routine, end routine and transfer routine.

  • I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for?

    I downloaded Mavericks and it won't install. I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for? I never had an administrator password-- I just hit enter and have never had a problem before with previous installations. I'm on an iMac, from 2007, running Mt. Lion (version 10.8.5). I've been looking for other's posts who may be having the same problem, but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

    Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
    I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
    Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
    When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
    In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
    I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
    Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
    Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
    Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
    Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
    On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
    Good luck!

    Yes it is. The Oracle database wasn't initially designed to be ANSI compliant. As you correctly state the ANSI standards weren't around when it was initially designed, so the statement is perfectly correct. ;)Ok, in one sense it may be correct but it is a completely misleading statement. Not sure why you think it's misleading.Because there was no ANSI standard, so making it sound like a design choice The Oracle database wasn't initially designed to be ANSI compliant. would suggest to most readers that there was a standard to be compliant to.
    Like saying Ford originally did not design their cars to incorporate safety features such as ABS, seat belts and air bags.
    The OP asked "why oracle is having different syntaxes for joins than ANSI syntaxes ?" and the answer is that Oracle wasn't initially designed with ANSI compliance, so it has it's old non-ANSI syntax,As shown above, the old syntax was ANSI compliant at the time and to call it non-ANSI is either incorrect or misleading dependent on your point of view.
    and since ANSI syntax became the standard it now supports that. And since ANSI switched to a new standard, Oracle had to implement the new standard as well as the previous ANSI standard would be more accurate in my opinion.
    Nothing misleading as far as I'm aware in that.I find the whole discussion about ANSI and Oracle's supposed non-compliance, reads like it was Oracle's choice to deviate from the standards, when it was ANSI's bullheaded decisions to pointlessly change standards that left Oracle and other vendors out of compliance, and that was a decision made solely by ANSI.
    This is probably the reason ANSI no longer produces SQL standards, the endless syntax fiddling would eventually have made forward left under outer joins a reality.
