Differences in replacement rear panel

After now being able to buy replacement part's for repair's I noticed there is a clear difference on the inside of the original & replacement panel:
the black on the left is the original panel, the white on the right is the replacement & as you can see the original has only a small part that lines up with the contacts to the phone whereas the replacements is fully exposed, does this affect usage? or is it just a change in the manufacturing process? or is this not the replacement part I should be using & will need to find an alternative?
Regards

It just highlights the clear cmos button as it is not just an LED but the actual clear cmos button. If pressing it will clear cmos (system needs to be off)

  • Microphone connection not recognized on rear panel

My new computer has been giving me lots of problems.  First the motherboard died, then this sound card problem.  Glad it's still in warranty.
Anyway, I sent my computer back to HP just a couple of weeks ago and they replaced my sound card.  I got it back today and, disappointingly, it still does NOT work.  I have the Creative X-Fi Sound Blaster sound card.  When I plug my microphone directly into the sound card via one of those jacks on the rear panel, it's checked under "Line-In" in sound manager, but it doesn't record at all.  However, when it's plugged into the microphone jack on the front panel, it works.  When I check Properties on "Microphone FP", it says "Front Panel Jack".  I called tech support and they thought it might have been that the sound card was incorrectly connected to the front panel.  I can't help but to wonder if this is just the way this specific sound card works since they supposedly replaced the whole sound card this time.  Does anyone know?

  • Rear panel components

I'm the second owner of this MicroTower-Windows 7 and I can't get any of the Rear Panel Components to work except for the power cord connector, VGA Monitor Connector &  RJ-45 Network Connector. None of the USB ports work-6 each,or the mouse connector or the keyboard connector don't work.  I have four USB ports on the front panel and they work fine, but I have to use two ports for my mouse & keyboard.
         Is this an easy fix???

Please specify the version of WIn 7, as there might be subtle differences in hardware and drivers.  Have you checked in Device Manager to locate any "flagged USB drivers"?

I need a replace glass panel for my 2008 20" iMac. Any ideas where i can obtain one?
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    As an aside note
    Bendz2012,
Have you noticed that your iMac's screen is less glossy than normal?
Do you prefer this over having an additional panel of glass making your display overly and unnecessarily glossy?
It may not look as pretty, but I'll bet your screen looks better and sharper and you may be getting a benefit of added heat dissipation. Also, not to mention, less eye strain and/or headaches
You will just have to be a little more careful with the iMac's real TFT screen if you choose this option.
A little more careful cleaning it and making sure no liquids get inside.
It's up to you what you want to do.
You can order the panel, anyway, but choose not to replace it until you sell it or have to bring in for repairs.
    Good Luck!

  • No sound from rear panel!!

    Hi,
There is no sound from the rear panel line-out. Also, the line-in and mic jacks do not work. Have checked the jumpers 5,6 and 9,10 of JAUD1. They are in place.
Have re-installed the Audio driver from the driver CD.
    The config:
    MSI RS482M4 motherboard.
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+
    1 GB RAM
    Maxtor 6y080L0  160GB and ST306021 80GB
    ASUS CRW-5232AS
    SONY DVD RW DRU-820A.
    Pls help!!!!

The files that you are trying to play are stereo only?
Last time i used a Realtek sound card i could test HRTF from the control panel ,to see if all speakers work. You should also check the 5.1 configuration in both Windows and Realtek sound control panel.
You can use Foobar 2000 player (and use the multichannel converter in its DSP manager) or a mediaplayer like Power DVD ,to play a DVD with multichannel support.
Unfortunatelly Realtek doesnt offer something similar to Qsound or Creative's multichannel upmix tricks. As long as you use the proper player you should be able to listen a stereo recording upmixed to 5.1.
If you re using XP make sure that in Winamp you select for Output the Direct Sound plug in instead of Wave.(wave doesnt support multychannel).

  • MSI-7345 (P35 Neo2-FR) - No sound from rear panel

    Hello,
I cannot seems to get any sound output from the rear panel jacks on my MSI-7345.  The front headphone jack is working fine.
I have installed the latest audio drivers from Realtek, tried every combination of settings I could conceive ("Disable front jack", "Mute rear panel", etc), and I have tried putting jumpers on the 5-6 and 9-10 pins of the AUD1 header on the motherboard to force output to the rear.  All to no avail.
Windows sees the device just fine.  The jacks are seen just fine by the Realtek Audio Control utility (it notices when I plug and unplug my headphones from each jack).  I even see the "levels" in the Audio mixer activate themselves when I play sounds (and the volumes are all at 100%)... but there is nothing coming out in the headphones.
This is all on a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit.  FWIW, I can't get any output from the rear panel under Linux either, but *that* could be a driver problem (I have not spent much time troubleshooting under Linux at this point).
Does anybody have a helpful suggestion ?  Or am I simply looking at a hardware failure ?

    Thanks for you reply.
It turns out this is somewhat embarassing: the problem was with the headphones I was using to test the rear panel jacks    I tried another pair and everyting is working well.  I feel so stupid now...
Hey, that's good troubleshooting!  Nothing to be embarrassed about.

  • What is the difference between "Replace" and "Replace by Security"

    Hi all,
I am implementing FDM to Load data to HFM, I set them up with a proper security on the shared service and FDM. When I load data to HFM from FDM, there are 4 options to load data. (Replace, Merge, Accumulate, Replace by Security)
    A document states that
Replace: Clears all account values from the target application, and replaces that the data in the application with the data in the load file.
Replace by Security: Loads data to the target application only for members to which you have access.
However, even if I used “Replace”, it worked with security which I set.
Does anyone know what the difference between “Replace” and “Replace by Security”?
Is there any way that FDM works without security?
    Thanks in advance
    taku

The fact both methods are producing the same results will either be coincidence or perhaps because you are mis-interpreting the difference between the 2. When you run a Replace HFM will clear out all data based on the combination of Scenario, Year, Period, Entity and Value dimensions it does not care if you have set up security classes which may restrict access to any of the other dimensions i.e. Account, Custom1 thru 4. When you use Replace By Security HFM will still clear on the original criteria but it will respect security class restrictions set up on the other dimensions e.g. if you are assigned to a security class which is restricted to accessing only a certain subset of accounts, HFM will not clear data fro the accounts you don't have access to when you use Replace By Security

  • Is it possible to Change Product when you replace Back Panel

Hi, Recently i have changed the Back Panel of my Notebook ( HP Pavillion G6), just now i checked the system model with the help of Belarc Advisor it is showing as Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion g4 Notebook PC.Is it possible to change the product when you replace Back panel. ThanksSrinu Chigulla

Hello , Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! When you replaced the back panel, did you replace any internal components as well?  As long as you didnt replace any internal parts, then the model of your notebook should not be different. Please let me know if this information was helpful by clicking the thumbs up below.

  • Z87-G45 sound simultaneously on Sennheiser PC363D and rear panel

    Hello fellow MSI enthusiasts,
I have a question which I cannot seem to solve myself
My motherboard is a MSI Z87-G45 Gaming. I want to listen to (all) sounds via my rear soundpanel (Realtek) and my Sennheiser headset (a PC363D, with its own sound processor (connected via USB)).
In my previous setup, I couldn't have the front- and rear-panel play sound at the same time.. So I wonder if it is something I am overlooking, or a shortcoming of this motherboard (in my humble opinion).
In short: can a Z87-G45 play sounds via my USB-headset AND my rear panel, at the same time?
(my speakerset is an Altec 2.1 set, so no 5.1 or 7.1 surround needed).
    TIA
    Ruud

    Noone has any clue
I cannot imagine that this motherboard is not capable of playing sounds on it's own soundcard + my PC363D

  • MSI Z97 Gaming 7 rear panel audio - WEAK

I thought I was wrong, but yes. The rear audio panel's output volume is much weaker than the front panel's. I know this issue has been brought up before, and it didn't seem like there was any solution. I'm hoping it will be different today.
I tried uninstalling both Realtek's audio drivers (yes, the latest and greatest from MSI's website), as well as SBC2, again the latest and greatest. Checked Audio Boost headers and switch, and yes both are good to go.
What puzzles me is why it isn't weak and slightly distorted if I am using the front panel. I know it's a minor inconvenience, but I hate the idea that there are wires where I usually plug in my flash drive.
Is this a flaw of MSI's Z97 board?

I use a Logitech G230. Tried my earphones too, a Klipsch S4i, as well as my brother's Sennheiser PC 360. All the same result. For the G230, I plug in the audio jack and the mic jack.
It wouldn't make a difference if I enumerated what audio equipment I use, because the problem goes away if I plug it in the front panel audio and mic jacks. So that means the problem isn't with the audio equipment I am using.
Buying a sound card isn't an ideal solution. Those things are slowly vanishing anyway. on-board audio has come a long way too. :-(

  • Replacement WLED panel worth more than the computer itself????

So i recently just purchased a hp pavilion 17-f215dx and noticed that i have either a stuck pixel or dust behind the LCD. I called hp today for part questions and the panel is 628 dollars?! That does not make since... the computer was not even that much

If still in warranty they should replace it for free....did you tell them that? Also their warranty does stated that the LCD if it has fewer then 3 dead pixel that will free them from the defective LCD replacement as well. So read you warranty carefully about your LCD warranty and how many dead pixel will disqualify it from repairs.

  • Camera glare after replacement back panel fitted.

A week ago, I submitted a question about the smudges on the rear of my iPhone 4.
Earlier today, I took the phone to the Apple Store, having made an appointment at the Genius Bar.
They were very helpful, took the phone out back and replaced the back panel for me, so I have no more smudges (obviously).
Unfortunately, the camera lens cover doesn't look as clear as my girlfriend's iPhone 4 (which is crystal clear).
I have tried a microfibre to clean it as I thought it might have some residue on it from being a new part.
It basically just looks as if the inside of the lens cover needs wiping, but obviously I cannot do this.
On closer inspection it looks as if there is small marks (perhaps a fingerprint) on the inside of the pack panel, could this have been made by the man at the store as he fitted the new back panel?

Ah okay, so you think there is also a film on the inside that may still be on? Luckily I'm in Southampton again on Tuesday evening, so will try to pop in and get that sorted. Will definitely check closely before I leave this time - I didn't think to even look for any problem like this when I left the store. It's a bit more inconvenient than the initial smudges, as this is actually affecting the camera and pictures taken!
    Thanks

  • Replacing existing panel with a new panel.

I don't use swing much and I have ran into a small problem.
What is the standard procedure for replacing a jpanel on a
jframe with another jpanel in the exact same position?
Say you had a form on the first panel, when the user clicks
next it display a new panel with a confirmation of the results
and disposes of the old one.
I have tried add, remove, setcontenpane. setvisible etc but nothing

  • Difference between Replacement with a query and Replacement from Variable

    Hi Gurus
Would explain the difference between the Replacement Path: Replacement with a query and Replacement Path: Replacement from Variable with scenarios.
    Thanks in advance,
    Aravind.S

    Hi,
If you are using Replacement with query, the given query output will be used as input your variable. For example if you want to display the product details, which can be find our from a query.
And Replacement with Variable will be used  when you want to give the same input  in two different fields. for example if you want to see the records from sending location and not the records from recived location at the same time. Here once you give the sending location id, it will be taken as the same input for received location.
    Regards,
