Differences in Russia & Australia/Newzealand Localization in SAP B1

Hi,
What are the differences in Australia/Newzealand & Russia Localization in SAP B1?
Prompt response will be appreciated.

Hi,
There's no official documentation to compare localizations.
Please follow Mr. Nagarajan's advice to compare demo DBs and search by "Russia" or "RU" in the help file to find some differences.
Some most obvious differences are:
GL accounts
Tax
default company settings that're often changeable but suggest localization differences
document: e.g. Russia has correction invoice/reversal
down payment flow: I'm not sure if Russia Is different from Australia, but you can refer to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sbo900/helpdata/en/6a/4becf17e8545199badb7168cd86556/content.htm?frameset=/en/ca/080f4f7ad84… and check.
Functional differences, which you can check by 1 comparing the company details, 2. Comparing the main menu.

  • Impact on SAP HR for CIN Localization in sap roll out

    Hi Expert,
Can anyone explaine me,what will be the impact on SAP HR module for CIN (Country India Version)Localization in SAP Roll out?
    Waiting for your reply.

    hi SH WU
You need to create a rule in schema to handle only the first and last entries.
IF they are supposed to be swipeed only twice then you can create constant in t511k and set the start time and end time and compare them and process.......

  • Difference between using the Enterprise Portal and SAP GUI

    Hi Gurus,
Could one of you please send me a document that lists the differences between the Enterprise Portal and SAP GUI?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
For groups, managedBy is an administrative convenience to designate “group admins”. Whatever principal listed in
managedBy gets permission to update a group’s membership (the actual security is updated on the group’s AD object to allow this).
In Win2008 and later managedBy also became the way you delegated local administration on an RODC, allowing branch admins to install patches, manage shares, etc. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755310(WS.10).aspx).
On the RODC, this is updating the RepairAdmin registry value within RODCRoles.
So the difference between them should be only the way they do the same thing.

  • Difference btw: Distributed, High-Availability and Additional SAP System Instances

    Hello,
In the installation Doc for NW 741, there is 3 other installations scenarios beside the single instance, can you pl. highlight the difference?
    Cheers,
    F

    Hello Fouad,
    Distributed landscape:
In distributed landscape, every instance can run on a separate host
    - Central services instance for ABAP ( ASCS)
    -  Enqueue replication server instance (ERS instance ) for ASCS instance
    - Database instance
    - Primary application server instance (PAS)
    High availability :
In high availability ,all above instances can run on seperate host. Here you can run all instance in switchover cluster infrastructure. That means ,for any instance if one node in cluster fails ,it switch over to other other node and still operations can run without any distrubance.
    Additional SAP instance:
Additional SAP aaplication instance can be installed to scale the performance of an SAP system. It can be installed on one of the above instance host or on differnt host.
The term "additional application server instance "was introduced to replace term dialog instance from SAP Netweaver 7.1 and higher.
For more and detailed information ,you can refer to Installation guide for the SAP release you are planning to install and for DB/OS combination.
    Hope this helps.

  • Differences in Depreciation key table structure between SAP 4.5b and mySAP

Depreciation keys in SAP 4.5b were stored in a different table structure to depreciation keys stored in mySAP ERP 2005. Deprecation Keys that existed before the SAP upgrade still exist in the old set of tables; these have a status of “Migrated” in SAP.  Any new or modified depreciation keys will only be reflected in the new set of tables; these have a status of “Active”.  Of course, there is a third Depreciation Key status, “Inactive”, which means that it is not in use.
There doesn’t seem to be any documentation on the mapping between these tables.  I need this in order to update our custom reports.
    Can anyone help?

Major difference is ECC6 is netwear product having WASJAVA+ABAP
secondly support unicode apart from this we have other diff. you can get fom master guide from service.sap.com/instguides
For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key. With out solutionmanager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
For ECC 6.0 is called netweaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
    ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
For installing 4.6 you don't required solution manager key.It only having ABAP stack.
    4.6C supports NONUNICODE.
Hope this would add some more info.

  • Difference beetwen set handler and set_registered_events in SAP Enjoy...

I'm reading now BC412 cours and I try to understand main difference beetween registering events for SAP enjoy controls using
    a) set handler
    b) set_registered_events
Do ABAP service this events in other ways (I mean is ABAP service events registered via set hander in different way than registered via set_registered_events)?
When I use ALV grid I use set handler to register events for which (after this event happened) should be performed any action. It is possible to define this events using internal events table?
I reward points for every helpful clues.
    Cheers, Tomek
Bonus question: Why for registering events using events table, are using ID's instead events names (like double_click) ?
Message was edited by: Tomasz Suchanek
Message was edited by: Tomasz Suchanek

    Hello Tomasz
The ALV grid control has already most events registered meaning that the corresponding event will be fired if the user executes the appropriate action (e.g. user click on a grid cell with a hotspot -> event HOTSPOT_CLICK is fired).
In order to react on this event your application must have set an event handler for the event (e.g. you have defined a method HANDLE_HOTSPOT_CLICK and registered this event handler at your ALV grid instance:
SET HANDLER lcl_event_handler=>handle_hotspot_click FOR mo_grid.  " mo_grid is you ALV grid instance
Other controls (like tree controls) have very few (if at all) events registered. The control will not fire unregistered events, and thus, you are not able to handle these events (even if you have defined an event handler method (and used SET HANDLER... for it)).
In conclusion, registering event is a two-step-process:
    (1) register events (that should be fired) at the control
    (2) register event handler at the control in order to react on fired events
As said before, step (1) is already done for ALV grid controls.
How to register events at the control depends on the available method. For example, CL_COLUMN_TREE_MODEL provides method SET_REGISTERED_EVENTS having an itab (type CNTL_SIMPLE_EVENTS) for importing the events. The event IDs are defined as constants in the class (or a superclass) like EVENTID_NODE_DOUBLE_CLICK.

  • What is the difference between J2EE Engine vs WAS in SAP

    Hello All,
What are the differences between J2EE engine included with BW 3.0B and the WAS 6.20 ? what are the limitations of J2EE engine in terms of functionality.
    Thanks in advance
    Ravi

    Hello Nitzan,
Thanks for the response. Just to clarify my question, There is a J2EE engine as part of BW 3.0B. What is the difference in terms of functionality of J2EE engine which comes bundled with BW 3.0B versus say WAS 6.20.
    1. The J2EE engine which comes bundled with BW 3.0B, is it a run time or a full product where a java app can be developed and deployed to integrate with BW or do you need WAS for that purpose.
    Thanks & regards

  • Difference between Integration Process & Business process in SAP XI

    Hi Friends,
Good Evening. I am getting  a lot of confusion between Integration process & Business Process. Could you please explain me with good example?
    Thanking you all in Advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nagarjuna.

    Hi,
The IP and the BPM are not different.
    its explaniation from [help.sap|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3c/831620a4f1044dba38b370f77835cc/content.htm]
The design and processing of integration processes is also known as cross-component Business Process Management (cross-component BPM, ccBPM).
At configuration time, you configure the receiver determination for the integration process in the Integration Directory of the Integration Builder.
At runtime, the Business Process Engine executes the integration processes. The Business Process Engine is part of the Integration Server.
Cross-component Business Process Management is integrated with the business workflow. An integration process can send messages to a workflow and, conversely, messages from a workflow can be processed in an integration process.

  • Difference, advantage and disadvanatges betweeh PCUI and SAP GUI

    Hi Scholras,
Can any one tell the advatnages , disadvantages or difeerence between the interfaces GUI and PCUI.
    Regards,
    sasi

    Hi Ramarao,
mySAP CRM offers two user interfaces for running the business scenarios: People-centric UI (PC-UI) and SAPGUI.
For Interaction Center-based scenarios there is a choice between a WebClient and a WinClient version in addition.
SAP Best Practices for CRM supports both UI versions.
In comparison with the SAPGUI the PC-UI provides a more easy and flexible adaptation and personalization as well as a state of the art technology and look-and feel.
But in some project situations these advantages may not justify the higher installation and maintenance effort. In this case the PC-UI can still be chosen.
Nevertheless a move to the PC-UI is of course possible also in a later project phase because for most of the scenarios the UI has only a very limited dependency on the customizing.
Only the choice between WebClient and WinClient is fundamental because the customizing is different and an automated migration from WinClient to WebClient or vice versa is not supported.

  • Difference between ARIS Process Performance Manager and SAP BI

    Hi All,
I am searching for an answer on the following question: when the business purpose is to measure performance of E.g. a call center process. Can the Process Performance Manager from ARIS replace SAP BI.
    Regards,
    Marcel

    Hi Marcel,
If I can add to the comment of Ajay,
I think that when your goal is to measure the performance of a Process and analyze root cause of performance problems, Process Performance Manager is best suited.
Even if SAP BI could do it as well, I think that SAP BI is best suited for data analysis like financial reports, Market studies ...
I think that the baseline is that SAP BI is a broader BI solution but ARIS PPM is best suited for process performance than SAP BI.

  • Voltage differences Japan to Australia

I purchased a 27" Imac in Japan in May 2010. The specifications are as follows: iMac 27/2.8/2X2GB/1TB/4850-512MB. I now live in Australia and am wondering do I need a voltage converter in order to use the Imac. I also have a MacBook Pro and there is a voltage converter on the power cord. But there doesn't appear to be one for the IMAC. Voltage in Aus is 240V while in Japan it is 120V. I am worried that I will blow the machine up - if I just plug the Japanese power cord in. Please advise. Thanks Nick

    NickLeah wrote:

no. your Mac shipped with an universal power supply.
all you need is an adapter for the wall outlet or a replacement power cord (get it from a local Apple store or AASP).
