Hello.
If install Oracle8 into wk2, check nect
1. Apply SP3 or SP4 to WK"
2. Apply the las patch to Oracle8, this is 8.0.6.2.0
Now, I checked the RDBMS availability matrx on metalink and Oracle8 IS NOT SUPPORTED on WK2 plattforms

  • Difference in the MM functionalities between 4.6C and ECC 6.0.

    Hi gurus,
    What is the difference in the MM functionalities between 4.6C and ECC 6.0.
    I already went through several links, which was moslty related with technical aspects.
    But I need functionalitywise.
    (Note: In ECC 6.0 using MIGO, transfer posting can be done. Apart from that is there any other functionality change)
    It will be of great help if u provide....
    cheers,
    vimal

    Hello
    Following are the basic differences as far as MM Module is concerned;
    Pickup list - Batch where-used list display in transaction MB56
    u2022 Until release 4.7, the top-down and bottom-up analyses in the function pickup list for batch where-used list (transaction MB5C) were displayed only in the form of simple output lists. As of release 6.00 of SAP ERP Central Component, the function pickup list for batch where-used list branches to the batch where-used list itself (transaction MB56).
    u2022 In addition, user can define how the data in the batch where-used list is displayed, in the initial screen.
    u2022 User can use all the settings available in the batch where-used list. For example, he can expand transfer posting or display vendor batch. However, it is not possible to limit the selection to valid plants in the initial screen of the pickup list.
    Usability enhancements for transaction MIGO for the posting of goods movements
    u2022 For goods movements that refer to purchase orders as reference documents (for example, goods receipt, goods issue, subsequent adjustment), user can specify the ordering plant as an additional selection criterion directly next to the purchase order number and the item number.
    u2022 There is a new default value: "copy account assignment fields." When entering other goods receipts, user can copy existing account assignment data from the previous item to use as the default values for a new item. To do this, user has to set the copy account assignment fields indicator in the default values.
    u2022 User changes the default values in the menu path "Settings -> Default Values."
    u2022 Goods movement is monitored with reference to a material document. When you enter the following goods movements, it is possible to specify a material document, such as the following, as the reference document:
    Goods receipt
    Goods issue
    Transfer posting
    Remove from storage
    u2022 Note that these material documents must be documents that have arisen from a goods movement without reference ("Others") and that are not reversal documents.
    New report : display list of invoice documents (MIR5)
    u2022 Logistics invoice verification offers a new report display list of invoice documents (RMMR1MDI), w hich user can use to display such a list (Transaction is MIR5).
    u2022 As an addition to the existing program invoice overview (transaction code MIR6), user have extended selection criteria and display options. For example, on the initial screen user can make selections by one-time customers, invoice gross amount, and entry date.
    u2022 User can also show an expert mode, which enables him to select at plant level by FI document, GL A/c posting, and Material Posting.
    u2022 In the output list, the report shows both posted and held invoices.
    u2022 It does not show invoices without a corresponding FI document; such as invoices planned for verification in the background or which the software has already verified as containing errors.
    Requirement prioritizations in materials management
    u2022 With Requirement Prioritization functionality user can assign requirement urgency at item level in purchasing and reservation documents.
    u2022 The software determines the relevant requirement priority (overall priority) of a material requisition from the combination of requirement urgency group and organizational priority.
    Mass maintenance of outline agreements
    The following two transactions available:
    u2022 Mass maintenance for contracts: transaction code MEMASSCONTRACT
    u2022 Mass maintenance for scheduling agreements: transaction code MEMASSSA
    Commitment plan for purchase contracts
    u2022 With the function of the commitment plan for purchase contracts, it is possible to pre plan value consumption for a purchase contract.
    u2022 To this end, a commitment plan is generated for each document item of the relevant contract.
    u2022 This commitment plan itself can have any number of items.
    u2022 User can define a value and a validity date for each commitment plan item.
    u2022 This enables user to pre plan different values for different periods of time.
    u2022 The software generates an earmarked fund document for a defined commitment plan item.
    u2022 This earmarked funds document can in turn contain several different items with different account assignments.
    u2022 The software adopts these account assignments from the item account assignments of the commitment plan.
    u2022 If a purchase requisition or purchase order references this contract, the earmarked funds document is copied into the purchase order, and the account assignment is adopted from that document.
    u2022 Account assignment to a different account assignment object is then no longer allowed.
    Availability check in "Enjoy purchase order and requisition"
    u2022 Display and checking of availability are invokable separately in the "Enjoy purchase order and requisition" function, in line with the software behavior on the sales side.
    u2022 User invoke the display and checking of availability in the "Enjoy purchase order" function (transaction code ME21N) and the "Enjoy purchase requisition" function (transaction code ME51N) as follows:
    To display the availability overview, choose the menu path "Environment -> Availability." - To check availability, choose the "Check Availability" icon.
    Until this release, if user carried out the availability check for an item of a stock transport order, the software adopted confirmations as per the desired date/time only.
    u2022 Two settings are possible with availability check:
    Confirmation as per desired date/time (this is the standard setting and corresponds to previous software behavior)
    Delivery proposal - Full confirmation
    External services: putting service items in the purchase order on hold (changed)
    User can put purchase orders with service items on hold if these items do not contain any errors. Purchase orders with service items can also be put on hold if errors occur only at header level or as a result of the availability check.
    Customizing transactions OX18 replaced by view
    The assigned customizing transactions have been replaced by the following view in the following implementation guide activity in customizing for the enterprise structure: Assign plant to company code: transaction OX18 replaced by view V_T001K_Assign. One will find this activity in the implementation guide under the menu path "Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics General -> Assign Plant to Company Code."
    Goods receipt: new movement types in inventory management
    The following new movement types are available in inventory management:
    107: Goods receipt to valuated goods receipt blocked stock
    109: Goods receipt from valuated goods receipt blocked stock
    Prepayment of invoices
    This functionality is characterized as follows:
    u2022 User can trigger prepayment of vendor invoices in logistics invoice verification.
    u2022 User use the prepayment function for vendors with whom organisation has a good, long-standing relationship.
    u2022 The function enables payment soon after issue of the invoice and full exploitation of the date of required payment and existing cash discounts, by posting the vendor liabilities, taxes, and cash discounts in financial accounting in advance.
    u2022 The software executes the payment of the invoice regardless of the relevant goods receipt and the outcome of the invoice verification check.
    u2022 Most logistics invoice verification standard functions are not affected by the prepayment function.
    u2022 When the software posts invoices, it continues to execute the standard checks.
    u2022 If the software has already posted the prepayment document, user can make only restricted changes to the header fields of the invoice.
    u2022 To ensure adequate and orderly financial accounting postings, a prepayment clearing account has been added to SAP ERP Central Component.
    u2022 Upon prepayment, the software debits this account and then settles the account again after executing the check.
    Purchasing accounting information to the former SAP Business Information Warehouse
    u2022 With the transfer of the purchasing account information to the former SAP Business Information Warehouse component (whose functionality is now part of SAP Net Weaver), it is now possible to maintain Info Cubes, reports, and queries that can determine how and where the costs from purchasing documents have been assigned and controlled.
    u2022 As part of the software, a new data source (2LIS_02_ACC) has been created and the purchasing extraction process extended to cover the account information for purchasing orders, schedule agreements, and contracts.
    Automatic settlement of planned delivery costs with evaluated receipt settlement (MRDC)
    u2022 A new report (RMMR1MDC), available within the logistics invoice verification, can be used to automatically settle planned delivery costs.
    u2022 To invoke the report, from the SAP easy access screen, choose the menu path "Logistics -> Materials Management -> Logistics Invoice Verification -> Automatic Settlement -> Automatic Delivery Cost Settlement" (transaction code MRDC).
    u2022 Functionality for report RMMR1MRS is enhanced.
    u2022 User can use the report RMMR1MRS, "Evaluated receipt settlement with logistics invoice verification (LIV)" (transaction code MRRL), to settle planned delivery costs in addition to goods and service items within logistics invoice verification.
    u2022 To do so, set the relevant indicator on the initial screen of the report.
    Parking service items
    It is now possible to put service orders without errors or with commitment errors on hold.
    Report MB5B : Stock on Posting Date
    u2022 This Report is available with "Non-Hierarchy" display option which provides details of Opening, Receipt, Issue and Closing balances of Stock with quantity and value both for a given period.
    u2022 This functionality is not available in Release 4.7.
    Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations
    u2022 Function of stock transport orders between storage locations is available from ECC 6.0 onwards.
    u2022 As a result of which user can input issuing storage location with supplying plant.
    u2022 Facility of using different delivery types for different issuing storage locations is available.
    u2022 Shipping Point data can also be determined based on the issuing storage location.

  • Differences in Date/Time info between FCP 7 and FCP X?

    Please bear with me as I have hardly touched FCP 7 in the past 2 years, so most of what little I knew has now been forgotten!
    Yesterday I captured an old 2002 Mini-DV PAL tape into FCP X.
    The tape consisted of:-
    1. Some original clips as they were shot.
    2. Projects (edited in iMovie 2) using those clips, which had then been exported back onto the tape.
    As expected, FCP X recognised the embedded info on the original clips and separated them together with details of their date and time.
    What really surprised me was that the edited videos were also broken down into their original clips, complete with date and time.
    This latter point would have been great except for one thing  .  .  .  .  FCP X automatically arranged all the clips on the tape in order of their original shooting time and date.
    This meant that all the projects were separated into their component clips and these were put alongside the original clips, thus mixing them up.
    Furthermore, as you know, the clips in a project rarely appear in chronological order, so by separating them chronologically the projects were even more mixed up!!!!!!!  The projects have  effectively been turned into a jigsaw puzzle.
    To get round this problem, I have just recaptured the tape in one take in FCP 7 which thankfully kept everything in the  correct order.
    Now here is the question:-
    Is it possible, after using DV Start/Stop Detect and Make Subclip to find the original date and time it was shot?
    You see how much I have forgotten.
    Yet another peculiarity, is that whilst DV Start/Stop Detect can separate out the original clips that were shot, unlike FCP X it just recognises each project as a single clip.

    Thanks for the response Michael.
    Shortly after posting, fragments of my memory returned and I also remembered that FootTrack does a similar job.
    As mentioned above, FCP X does very much the same and also does it excellently.
    The only reason it didn't suit my tapes was because, unusually, I had put up to 3 or 4 versions of finished projects (containing the same basic clips)  on the same tape, which meant that after capturing a tape in one go, I ended up with  hundreds of clips containing up to 3 or 4 sets of identical clips jumbled up in a frightening video jigsaw.
    Normally, FCP X is excellent but due to my peculiar use of old tapes, it fell down.
    There would have been no problem if it had provided  multiple identical clip names if it had kept them in the order they were on the tape and not insisted on automatically re-arranging them.
    Given time, I could have sorted them but simply recapturing, though a lengthy process, was much quicker and sanity saving.

  • Date difference function that returns minutes between two dates and excludes weekends and holidays

    Thanks for your help.

    Please post DDL, so that people do not have to guess what the keys, constraints, Declarative Referential Integrity, data types, etc. in your schema are. Learn how to follow ISO-11179 data element naming conventions and formatting rules (you do not). Temporal
    data should use ISO-8601 formats (you do not!). Code should be in Standard SQL as much as possible and not local dialect.
    This is minimal polite behavior on SQL forums.
    We hate functions in SQL. This is a declarative language and you are using it like 1950's FORTRAN. We hate local variables (more FORTRAN!)
     The name of a function has to be either a known, common name, like “sine”, “cosine” etc. Or it is “<verb>_<object>”; you think a noun is a verb! Do you really need BIGINT? Why did you invite garbage data with it? Why do you think that SQL
    uses AM/PM? Have you never seen the TIME data type?
    Think about “date_val” as a data element name. A date is a unit of temporal measurement on a calendar scale. This would be a “<something>_date” in a valid schema.
    >> Is there a way to get this to work as a function? <<
    Probably, but why do it wrong?
    Build a calendar table with one column for the calendar data and other columns to show whatever your business needs in the way of temporal information. Do not try to calculate holidays in SQL -- Easter alone requires too much math.
    The julian_business_nbr is how SQL people do this. Here is the skeleton.
    CREATE TABLE Calendar
    (cal_date DATE NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
     julian_business_nbr INTEGER NOT NULL,
    Here is how it works:
    INSERT INTO Calendar
    VALUES ('2007-04-05', 42),
     ('2007-04-06', 43), -- Good Friday
     ('2007-04-07', 43),
     ('2007-04-08', 43), -- Easter Sunday
     ('2007-04-09', 44),
     ('2007-04-10', 45); --Tuesday
    To compute the business days from Thursday of this sample week to next Tuesday:
    SELECT (C2.julian_business_nbr - C1.julian_business_nbr)
      FROM Calendar AS C1, Calendar AS C2
     WHERE C1.cal_date = '2007-04-05',
       AND C2.cal_date = '2007-04-10';
    See how simple it can be when you stop trying to write FORTRAN and think in sets?

  • Difference between Standard Edition and EE

    Can anyone tell me the difference in terms of functionality between the Standard and Enterprise version of Oracle 8i.
    Thanks

    Standard Edition(SE) is the term used for Core Java. It's a wide term which covers all the basic topics from Classes, Objects, Interfaces, Packages to Threads, Applets, IO.
    Find out here
    [http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/]
    Enterprise Edition(EE) is a wide term consisting Jsp, Servlets, Ejb and lot more.
    EE deals with client- server based distributed applications.
    you can find out here
    [http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/ ]
    First master SE then go for EE.
    GoodLuck.

  • Difference between BT Vision and BT YouView

    I am totally confused.com
    I am lokking at ditching Sky after 14 years. My only real option is BT as Virgin do not have fibers in my street.
    Looking at the BT website I cannot work out the difference, other than channel allocation, between BT Vision and BT Youview. But it appears that they are two different boxes. A quick chat with BT Live Chat revealed they dont know either.
    Is there anywhere for the love of God a simple piece of information that tells me in a side by side comparison what the differences are. It would be graet to talk to a BT person who knew the answer but I fear if I have to que for half an hour then get somebody who refers me to a website I would not survive the day.
    Anybody got any info,? You could sell a write up to BT to use

    You probably will have seen this page
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/tv/youview-and-vision-compared
    When reading remember  -- that phrases such as "best of"  could be replaced with "a selection of"    and "Coming soon"   can mean "in the months or years ahead"
    First the box is different and the firmware/software is different - BT is a partner in Youview so there are other interested parties that have a say on what facilities are developed and what services are run on the system. BT is in sole control as to what happens with their Vision box and its firmware/software development.  As such they can introduce some new services such as their Extra channels over an Infinity multicast network earlier on the Vision box  than on their Youview player.
    Youview tends to have more catchup as the content is provided by the channel providers direct rather than the selection provided to BT.
    With Youview you can subscribe to other player subscribers (currently only NowTV).
    Which is the better box - personal preference - Humax over the BT badged vision box
    Surround sound is available on the Humax
    Some users have experienced problems with the reliability of the BT Vision + box firmware - Bear in mind that there are  several versions of the BT vision box that have been released over the years so whether the latest boxes that new subscribers would get are more reliable with their new fimrware is unclear.
    Also bear in mind the quality and range of services you might get will depend upon your freeview reception/aerial , your broadband speed and it seems whether you have a direct cable connection from your Infinity Home Hub to your box.
    Finally you might want to read
    http://www.techradar.com/news/television/bt:-youview-not-ready-enough-to-stop-us-selling-bt-vision-b...
    "Some time in the middle of next year we believe that YouView will be able to deliver what we need to multicast channels via our Infinity network and at that point all new customers will be getting a YouView box," said Barry.
    Appologies I probably have added to confused.com

  • Differences in optimizations during compilation between java 1.4 and 1.5

    Hi
    I have an application which frequently runs into out of memory error. After doing some profiling, I found that it has more to do with the throughput of the application. Because which, messages that have to be polled from a queue are not being dequeued. This application has been compiled in java 1.5. But when I compiled the same in java 1.4, I didn't get into this problem.
    When I de-compiled the class files, I found that in 1.5, for every string concatenation, the compiler replaces it with StringBuilder() and appends the string. To check whether this object instantiation might be causing the trouble, I wrote a small snippet:
    private static void doWithConcatenationOperator() {
    for (int idx = 0; idx < fNumIterations; idx++) {
    String result = "Does" + "StringBuilder()" + "reduce"
    + "ThroughPut" + "of the" + "Application";
    private static void doWithStringBuilder() {
    for (int idx = 0; idx < fNumIterations; idx++) {
    (new StringBuilder()).append("Does").append("StringBuilder()")
    .append("reduce").append("ThroughPut").append("of the")
    .append("Application").toString();
    When I iterate through these loops( 1 million iterations), the concatenation operation takes less than 16 milliseconds whereas the StringBuilder takes upwards of 512 milliseconds.
    My question being; are there any other so called optimizations that can reduce the throughput when compiled in 1.5.
    Thanks

    The ONLY difference between 1.5 and 1.4 in that case is that one uses StringBuilder and one uses StringBuffer. And StringBuffer is faster.

  • Differences in JCE policy files between java 1.4 and 1.5?

    I'm using a app that needs JCE unlimited strength policy files to start. Attempting to start with limited strength policy files with Java 1.4 installed will give:
    java.security.InvalidKeyException: InitVerify error: java.lang.RuntimeException: engineGetKeySize() is not supported by this cipher!
    however, running the same app on java 1.5 with limited strength policy files does not give this problem. I've checked http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/jce/JCERefGuide.html#AppE and http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/security/jce/JCERefGuide.html#AppE and the maximum allowed keysizes are identical. Has something else changed in the JCE policy files between these java versions? Can anyone tell me what's going on?

  • Function to get differenece between sy-datum and any date entered in days

    Dear Friends;
                    I have to find out the days difference between sy-datum and any valid date that come from table . Is there any function available in SAP that will give me
    the difference in  no. of  days between sy-datum and any date that come from table??
                   please help me out.
    Regards;
    Parag

    Just subtract the dates from each other and you will get the number of days. I have used it and it works prefect
    try this:
    DATA: date1 like sy-datum,
    date2 like sy-datum.
    data I type i.
    date1 = '20070301'.
    date2 = '20070228'.
    i = date1 - date2.
    write: / date1, date2, i.
    date1 = sy-datum.
    date2 = sy-datum - 30.
    i = date1 - date2.
    write: / date1, date2, i.

  • What are all difference between 11g Mediator and 10g Oracle service bus.

    hi all ,
    Apart from SCA concept , storing location
    is thr any other difference between 11g Mediator and 10g Oracle service bus ?
    thx in advance..

    11g introduces the SCA architecture for building the service infrastructure.
    SOA 11g uses:-
    1. Uses the weblogic Server and BEA Aqualogic Service Bus (ALSB) for the Oracle Service Bus.
    2. BPEL uses scalable DOM with reduced memory usage.
    3. New adapters and leverage for Java 2 Connector Architecture (J2CA)
    4. BAM finally ported from .Net to J2EE and is part of the service infrastructure
    5. Oracle Web Services Management built into SOA 11g service infrastructure
    6. New adapters and leverage for Java 2 Connector Architecture (J2CA). Tighter integration with E-Business Suite & large payload support.
    7. Business Rules in SOA 10g business rules are managed using the Rules Author & in SOA 11g business rules are managed using JDeveloper and SOA composer

  • Difference between UGA, PGA and SGA in oracle

    please tell me what is the difference between UGA, PGA and SGA in oracle in the simple layman language
    thanx in advance

    UGA
    The User Global Area (UGA) is a memory area (RAM) that holds session-based information.
    Shared Server Area
    When running in [[Shared Server]] mode (MTS with shared servers and dispatchers), sessions can be served by multiple server processes. As a result, the UGA cannot be stored in the [[PGA]], and is moved to the [[SGA]] (shared global area).
    Dedicated Server
    When running in [[Dedicated Server]] mode (one session = one dedicated process), the UGA is stored in the [[PGA]] (process global area).
