Different accounting document type "WE" and "RE"

Hi,
I am currently coding to extract data from internal table BKPF and is facing a problem with field BLART (document type).
Understand that there are records for "WE" (Goods Reciept) and "RE" (Invoice Receipt) found in this table.
May i know what are the differences between these 2 type of documents?
Can both WE and RE co-exist for the same account document?
Does RE means goods receipt already done?

  • Alternative Accounting Document Type during Invoice Posting

    Hi,
    I have two queries which could resolve our clients specific requirement. It is required that for a specific customer we need to have 8 digits invoice number. We have attended this through SD user exit. However the Accounting document number range is external and hence same billing number gets generated for Accounting Document. This is conflicting with previous num range which is 10 digit. We have two alternatives to solve this as given below. Pls advise.
    1) Please let us know if we can determine different Accounting Document Type when posting Invoice to  Accounts. This has to be different from what is maintained in VOFA.
    2) Is there any user exit or BADI which can determine separate number range for Accounting Document Type determined during Invoice Posting to Accounts. Probably this query is more relevant in FI Forum , but please suggest if anybody has ideas on this.

  • Two different billing document types for 1 sales document type.

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement , wherein our client is having counter  sale.
    He is using one sales doc type , and while creating a order , he is manually adding payment terms.
    Requirement is , if the payment terms are cash, billing doc type created later on should be one , else during credit sales , billing document type should be different.
    As per my understanding this is not possible.
    Want to know if anyone has some different thought on this.

    There two options you can look in to
    One option is
    1.You can define different sales document types for cash and credit.
    2. You can define two different billing documents.
    3.Do the copy control settings for each combination
    Cash sales order >Delivery>Cash invoice
    Credit sales order >Delivery>Credit invoice
    Second option is
    1. You can maintain single sales document for both the processes.
    2.Define two different billing types then do the copy control settings for both billing types.
    But in this option user need to select the billing type manually based on the process while creating billing document.

    Hi
    Generally invoices posted against purchase order post an accounting document RE. Are there any cases, when an invoice posted against a purchase order can have a KR document.
    we have an instance in our system. In MIR4 the invoice document gets displayed, but the accounting documetnt posted is KR document type. IT should be generally RE.
    Can any explain when a PO invoice can have an accounitng document type KR instead of RE?

    this could not be possible as per Standard SAP transaction if you had used MIRO it will generate document type RE and if you had used FB60 it will generate KR.
    Is it happened only for particular document or for all ?
    check your SAP default setting for Define default values.
    IMG > Financial Accounting > Financial Accounting Global Settings > Document > Default Values for Document Processing > Define Default Values

    Please take a common document flow, just  like this one:
    - Sales Order (type ZE01 )
    - Outbound Delivery
    - Billing Document ( ZA or ZB )
    The billing document is based on the outbound delivery. Here is the requirement that we need to implement:
    - We need to determine different billing document types ( ZA or ZB ) according to a custom determination, based on a Z table. In some cases the billing document will be type ZA, in other cases it will be type ZB. I've been told that I can achieve this  via copy control , but some extra help would be welcome.
    Any clues?

    Were you able to achieve this requirement using a  user exit? if so could you let me know the name of the user exit? Basically in our current project a sales order can be billied using 6 different billing document types. The copy controls between the sales  document and billing document is been set up for all the 6different billing doc types and currently the users are manually selecting the billing document type in VF01 .The buisness insists on making this automated.They want the billing document type to be determined based on some custom condtions.
    Any inputs regarding this is highly appreciated.

    HEllo,
    The solution provided by S. Viswanatha R...  is possible, but it would be a problem for the users ( it sounds as a workaround). Maybe the user try to post the document and will not understand why they cannot post.
    The solution suggested by mr. Joshi would be more feasible, since you can define a custom message to your validation rule and the users will understand the constraints about the document type.

    You want to change the doucment type after you have posted the document, you can do so, by following config
    IMG . Financial aaccounting > Financial aaccounting basic setting > Document > Rules for changing document > Document change rules document header.
    If you are posting through FB60, you can go to EDITING OPTION once you are in FB60 screen. And under Document type option, select Entry with short name

    We have a requirement to create a downpayment request for a customer. We have copied the FAZ billing type and created a ZFAZ. For this the accounting document type generated is RV. This RV is a statistical document and does not contain any debits and credit entries. It is just to inform the customer to pay. We have to generate an IDOC for the same. I have configured FIDCC1 standard FI message type for this in ALE. But it does not seem to work.
    Does anyone have any inputs on this ? May be RV does not use the message type FIDCC1 ? Anything in relation to RV or downpaymnts, please let me know..

    I tried adding breakpoints to the following userexits and many other places where they occur..but while creating billing doc FAZ nor while generating accounting document RV they were triggered.
    I have created a distribution model and created the partner profile with outbound for basic type INVOIC02 for message type INVOIC . What do you say?
    Just a note that this is an outbound process and i cannot use process codes.

    I need one information regarding SD Billing Document type assignment with accounting document types.
       Here CRM people asking me where we can see if the Billing doc type is BV( Cash Sale)  accounting document should be RV
    Just go to T.Code VOFA for Billing document types. Based on this only system generate the Accouning documents RV, AB so onu2026u2026.
    But how it is determining this accouning document type they want to know.
    Pls advice

    In VOFA where it says Document type enter the FI doc type they want to post to. Otherwise it defaults to RV.

  • PO - Document Type FO and Item Category B - Can they be transferred to SUS?

    We are using R/3 4.7 with SRM 5.0 - Classic Scenario and XI 4.0.  We are just about to launch an SUS project to put our PO's on SUS for our suppliers.  Our organization is dealing with PO's for both Goods and Services.  As we know that there are no problems about putting the GR-Type PO's (NB type) on SUS but I would like to know if it is possible to transfer PO's that would be from the Document Type FO and Item Category B (Blanket PO) to SUS and ensure that our suppliers can do the entire PO Acknowledgement, PO Change and post the Invoice via SUS.  If not, what are the options for our R/3 - SUS installation?

    In Table DRAT also u get Document Type, Version, Number and Description of Doucment.

    How is the accounting document type 'RV' determined in an acounting document?

    The document RV is determined if document type is blank in VOFA,  because in sap standard function module RV_ACCOUNTING_DOCUMENT_CREATE, sap set RV into blart field.
    as shown below.
    IF tvfk-blart IS INITIAL.
    xaccit-blart = 'RV'.
    ELSE.
    xaccit-blart = tvfk-blart.
    ENDIF.
    This you can check in SE37.

    These are not Standard SAP document types that were delivered. Try look at the description and try to understand the need for creating these document type.
    Also look at the document type properties to understand the doucment in a better way.

  • Authorisation combined with document type, activity and status

    I want to create a role for a user who is only allowed to create and change document type ZDI  in status IW .
    Which object authorization can provided this check ?
    The object authorization C_DRAW_TCD  control only the activity (create/modify) and the document type (ZDI).
    The object authorization C_DRAW_STA control only  the document type (ZDI) and the status of the document (IW).
    But I need the combination of the both authorization. Does a possibility exist in standard to do it without create a client new authorisation?

    But it doesn't works as I want.
    The object authorisation C_DRAW_TCS  is checked before the save but not after save with the changed values.
    for example :
    the user has the following authorizations in the modification role:
      C_DRAW_TCS  activity 02 document type ZDI  document status IW 
      C_DRAW_TCD document type ZDI  activity 02
      C_DRAW_STA document type ZDI status IW
    The user has also the autorisation C_DRAW_STA document type ZDI status FI  in the display role
    With this configuration the user can modify the document ZDI in status IW and change the status into FI . I don't want that the user can change the status into FI. Does exist a possibility to avoid this?
    Of course, after storing this change of the status , the user can't access to the document ZDI with status FI.
    SAP doesn't check the authorization C_DRAW_TCS  activity 02 document type ZDI  document status FI  after status change.
