Different adapter types in scenario

Hi,
Isn't is possible to have different adapter types in one scenario? I have scenario where sender file is splitted to 4 different files. 3 for Idoc adapter and 1 for RFC. Now I'm getting error message " At least two of the sub-messages are for different adapter engine types."

Thanks for the information. The scenario was without BPM, so I'll convert it to use BPM and then it should be working.

  • Can Same tax code be assigned to 2 different wage types?

    HI Friends,
Can you tell me if same tax code can be assigned to different wage types.
Scenario is, my client is a group of 4 companies, of which one company gives Child education allowance twice in a year, where as other groups pay once in a year. Till now they used same wage type and this is maintained with Tax code SCEA as 1200. So, when the first company tried to give the allowance twice, system would consider exemption also twice, summing it to 2400.
So, i created a new wagetype and assigned the same tax code (in table V_T7INT9) with exemption amount as 600, so that if my client enters allowance twice a year, they get exemption twice summing to 1200.
But, i noticed that, the assignment had implications of the other wagetype with same tax code. System was not considering the exemption.
Finally i could infer that, same tax code cannot be used for more than one wage type.
Please help me in my inference. I dont know if im right!!!

    Pranitha

    Hi,
    Thanks for your information.
Since, the companies have employees of all levels, same allowance groups will definitly be used by all the companies,.
I will work out as per the scenario you told me and check the posiblities with the allowance group. but i think this is going to be a bit big exercise.
I did work out with same different wagetypes and same tax code and this was not working fine. I knew there was some restriction & didnt knew what.
My idea is, atleast to work out a reason to give to my client if something is not possible to give them. They just want a valid reason & im looking for one now.
If anyone has any sugestions to give me, please do...

  • IDOC - IDOC scenario with different message types

    Dear Experts
I will like to have your expert opinion in the following question:
I have an IDOC -> IDOC scenario. Wherein at the destination system I have a message type which does not exist at the source system.
Also the IDOC type at destination system does not exist at the source system.
Let say, I will be creating custom message type at source system (Z****) and will also be creating the custom IDOC type (z****) with the same structure, definition as the destination.
Now my question is, even if there will be different message types and different IDOC types but with the same structure (the segment level definition
and field attribute remains the same at both the system). The difference lies with the names. And I have proper mapping though process code.
Will I be able to receive the IDOC correctly at destination?
    Thanks & Best Regards

    Hi All
I figured out the answer myself now.
You got to have same name for message type. All of you said this and this is rite.
Coming to IDOC type, I did not really got clear idea on this from this discussion.
But after working on a scenario, I learnt that, you can have different names for IDOCs, but provided that, whichever IDOC type the source system is sending, the same type must exist in your destination as well. Otherwise, system wont process your IDOC. But from mapping point of view, its upto individual how do thay handle mapping inside inbound process code for different idoc types / strucutes.
Lesson learnt by me, ideally try to keep same name for both logical message and idoc type at both source and destination. If possible try to keep the structure level also the same. This is my view, learnt it the hard way.
    Cheers

  • Adapter type for inbound xml message XI3.0 SP10

    Hi,
We are using XI3.0 SP10 and are about to set up a scenario where we will receive an xml to process. Up until now we have only received simple flatfiles  to process.
My question is, can I use adapter type "File" to process this inbound xml file? And are there any special considerations I should be aware of, that is different from processing an textfile?
At the moment I have started to set it up as follows:
    Adapter Type: File
    Transport Protocol: FTP
    Message Protocol: File Content Conversion
    Adapter Engine: Integration Server
    Transfer Mode: Binary
    File type: Binary
    Thanks,
    Fredrik

    Hello,
Yes you can but you don't need "File Content Conversion".
    Choose "File" and well done.

  • Posting of cross company transaction with different doc types

    Hi,
    The scenario is:-
We have two companies X and Y.
X makes a payment to Y with the following FI entries:-
    Company Code X
    Dr Vendor Y
    Cr Bank HDFC
    Company Code Y
    Dr Bank ICICI
    Cr Customer X
Now this needs to be a cross company transaction where the doc type for CC X should be vendor Payment 'KZ' while the doc type for CC Y should be a customer reciept with doc type 'DZ'.
Although I am able to map the accounts in cross company code config I am not able to split the transaction of different company codes with different document types.
Is there any way we can do this in standard SAP?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nitish

    Hi
As per your issue ...There are no possibilities to post   in sap with different document types.
If you want you can post cross company code transactions with one document types

  • Posting of Goods Issue for a Delivery (Different movement types)

    Hello SD Experts,
We have this process wherein we use Deliveries w/o reference. There's a customization in place for this process, the movement type is determined through the item category of the material.
Given this scenario, my question is if it is possible to process the goods issue of a delivery with multiple item which require different movement types (diffrent items and item categories thus it have different movement types)?
Thank you for your kind consideration.

    Hello,
    Yes, you can.
As you know LO is std delv doc for delv w/o reference.
And I cat determination for that LO delv doc are

  • Vendor Payment with different document types

    Dear Sapguru,
We have a scenario where a particular vendor payable is in two different document types for example, RE and KZ.
When we execute TC F110, the payment proposal is grouping the payments by document type. I.e. it grouped all the documents under type RE and grouped all the documents under type KZ and created two line items in the payment proposal.
Actually, we want to have a single group consisting of all the document types payable to the vendor.
We have checked different SAP notes and also verified out system settings, but the problem still remains.
Can somebody let us know how to group all the open items in a single line item in F110 irrespective of document types.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards.,
    Rama

    Dear Naravi,
the main factor which affects the grouping of items is the Structure ZHLG1:
    ZBUKR
    ABSBU
    LIFNR
    KUNNR
    EMPFG
    WAERS
    ZLSCH
    HBKID
    HKTID
    BVTYP
    SRTGB
    SRTBP
    XINVE
    PAYGR
    UZAWE
    DTWS1
    DTWS2
    DTWS3
    DTWS4
    KIDNO
All these fields have to coincide, to have a single payment.
Please check why two documents with different document type are paid into two different payments.
Read the SAP notes 109233 and 164835 and 305414 as well.
    I hope this helps.

  • Different movt. types for GR against Purchase order and GR against Prd. Ord

    All SAP Gurus,
Is it possible to have Different movement types for GR against Purchase order and GR against Production Order?
    Regards,

    yes my friend ,
I dont know abt 131 movement type,i think so it is related to RUN SCHEDULE HEADER(rep scenario),order type is different to that in discrete.
But you can do one thing for sure, you can try to create a new movement type copy of 101,and make MIGO allowed for the movement type, and you can easily distinguish between two movement type used for receipt two different functions....
    Plz correct me

  • SAP PI 7.0 - Integration Directory No Adapter Types

    Hello,
I have recently installed ECC 6.0 with usage type PI. I am trying to create a simple scenario in PI, but when i go to the Integration Directory to create a communication channel i do not get any Adapter Types, clicking on the input help shows no objects found for the adapter metadata.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Leandro Fonseca

    Hi,
There is no Precofiguration step available in PI 70 but it is available in PI 71.
    Manual Loading
You will obtain SAP BASIS 70 tpz (XI Content) in SAP Service Market place.
service Maket place->SAP Patches -> Entry by Application component -> SAP Content -> ESR(XI Content) -> SAP BASIS 70
This file is available in SAP PI DVD software just search with *.tpz
In PI 710 when you do intial Netweave step Configuration using template based configuration this meta data automatically downloaded to Enterprise Service Repository.

  • Determine the adapter type in adapter module

    Hi All,
How can I determine with in a adapter module (custom developed) which adapter type the message is currently being processed? I was planning to use the method Message.getProtocol() and according to the documentation this returns
"Returns the protocol of this message (i.e. message format)"
The result of this method is always "XI".
I want to have a generic module for file and soap adapters. With in the module, I want to perform a different set of operations depending on the adapter type.
    Any inputs are highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jai

Thanks Stefan. I am able to get the adapter type now.
    I am using
                  CPAFactory factory = CPAFactory.getInstance();
                  CPALookupManager lookup = factory.getLookupManager();
                  String strChannelId = moduleContext.getChannelID();
                        Channel channel = (Channel) lookup.getCPAObject(CPAObjectType.CHANNEL, strChannelId);
                        adapterType = channel.getAdapterType();

  • No Adapter Types in Comm. Channels -- Urgent Pls

    Guyz,
I'm a newbie and when i'm trying to follow a 'how to sample idoc' scenario doc, i tried creating a communication channel...even i tried using creating comm. channels with wizard, but i got a wierd error as follows :
"com.sap.aii.ib.core.roa.RoaObjectAccessException: Attempt to read object Adapter Metadata IDoc .......from application REPOSITORY failed......." ...and a very huge java exception.....
later after i did a bit of searching over this forum and sap help, i found a document on marketplace detailing the tests to check our XI system is ready or not (doc name is Readiness_Check_Version3.pdf)... as suspected one of the test for adapters failed....In Adapter Monitoring section of Runtime Workbench, i'm not able to see any adapters other than JPR ...... which is why i suppose no F4 is turning up for adapter type in communication channel....
further more searching on this forum, showed me some hints for downloading XI Content from marketplace to update IR.....Firstly i'm not sure this is the solution, if it is, what all components needs to be downloaded.... can i just download SAP_BASIS 7.00 ? in my system i even have 'SAP BASIS 7.10'.... 'm in utter confusion....
appreciate a quick reply on this with details (pls let me know how to check which SP level is my XI system is installed ? , if i have to download XI Content from mkt place).
    thanks a ton in advance

    Hi,
Can you please check this steps:
    a) Reimport the latest version of the SAP Basis Software Component into the Integration Repository. The adapter metadata is contained in that SWC, under the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System
    b) Just try with Visual Administrator to check the services for the adapter engine are running or not. All services starts with SAP XI..
    SAP XI AF Core
    SAP XI AF CPA Cache
    SAP XI AF Messaging
    SAP XI Adapter XI
    SAP XI AF Security
    c) Just go thru following link from service.sap.com
    https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700002757652005E/HowtoMintorAF.pdf
    d) In the last Refresh the cache of the Adapter Engine.
    1) sxi_cache->goto-->AE Cache
    2) check for CPA Cache also
