Different amounts of Depreciation in depreciation run and FS10N, S_ALR_....

Hi Everyone,
I have just done a depreciation run and the amount to be posted is a certain value. Now, when i go into either transaction FS10N or S_ALR_87012284 and look at the account range where the depreciation is located, i get a different amount. Does anyone have a solution to this? How can the amounts be different?i
This is really confusing me at the moment so I highly appreciate your coming efforts in solving this issue.

Compaire the posted valuesfor that month between:
AFBP - Display Log
When you run the report S_ALR_87012284 use the option current book value
For compairing asset account with fi Use the report ABST2 - Account Reconciliation
Look if the differences is from his month or that it was already there
Search with ABST2 on this forum and you found more possible reasons for differences

Different amount in invoice in MIRO then in original PO

Hello guys,
we have created a PO which is in Account assignemtn tab is distributed by percentage and distributed proportionally.
the amnout of 120 is split in 32 segments to different cost centers/GL accounts - it gives 120 all together
The net price in PO is 1,392.86, tax 167.14
when in MIRO I want to create an invoice, I only enter the date and reference and PO and it calculates the net price 1,392.88 and tax 167,15
so as you can see this is not the same price as on PO and it makes 0,03 difference. Not able to post unless we change manually thje amoutn in MIRO
so my question is how we can manage to have the same amout in MIRO as it is on invoice? Is there a way? Or how such cases could be solved?
i am aware this is due to percentage calculation..

Hi,
This difference amount is due to exchange rate conversion. Let's have an example. This is common issue related to rounding at the time of currency conversion.
No additional customization is required. This difference amount will post to PRD (price difference ) account.
We faced several incidents of this type.
Eg. at the time of GR, the converted amount is rounded to 2 or 3 decimal places (based on the currency) and during MIRO, this'll rounds to upper value. This causes the different amounts updation in MM & FI tables, and the difference amount will be posted to PRD account. This is system standard behaviour.

Can SAP run the depreciation for closed Period and posting to diff month?

My client forgot to run the depreciation for Jan 2011, and now the Jan period has been closed and report also done.
My solution was to re-open the Jan and does the depreciation, once completed reclassify Jan depreciation posting to Feb 2011 manually.
I am just wandering whether SAP can handle this different way.
Can SAP performs Jan (Closed Period) depreciation and post to Feb period automatically or any other suggestions?

Automatic Posting in different depreciation area (4.7 and 6.0)

Dear all,
I want to understand how it is possible the procedure of automatic posting in different depreciation areas.
Exemple: I post a specific movement via ABAON, and automatically the system creates another document (with sequencial number, because uses THE SAME DOCUMENT TYPE), to another depreciation area (using ASKB). And that procedure happens in 4.7 version.
Now, in different version, like ECC 6.0, the system react the same as in 4.7, but uses another method when creates the document, as I say in the next path:
Financial Accounting >Asset Accounting>Integration with the General Ledger>Post APC Values Periodically to the General Ledger>Specify Document Type for Periodic Posting of Asset Values
This is the customization part to associate the new document (another depreciation area, as I've explained before).
This step is possible to choose only one document type. But in version 4.7 (at least it is what is happening in my client) the document type is choosen according to the first document, the one, I post in ABAON (or another transaction with similar characterics).
Please anyone can help me?

The options in ECC 6.0 are:
0 Area Does Not Post
1 Area Posts in Realtime
2 Area Posts APC and Depreciation on Periodic Basis
3 Area Posts Depreciation Only
4 Area Posts APC Directly and Depreciation     -> V2 update
5 Area Posts APC Only
6 Area Posts Only APC Directly                         -> V2 update
If in the area is set the posting indicator 4 or 6 (V2) than it means it's a virtual posting (like 'post direct'). The postings in those area area technically processed via "V2-update". With this update a log table is written where all successul updates of this area are stored.
When you start RAPBER2000 this log table is compared against all postings (since the last run) and if there is any posting missing RAPERB2000 collects this missing posting.
This means, if in background for some reason, that we cannot tell in retrospect, there was an update error, or an error occurs due to missing customizing (please check you ASKBN posting in transaction ARAL which should tell what happened during your posting) ASKBN will pick up the outstanding posting and created/posts the FI document.
In your case the difference might be that This documents is posted either directly per V2 posting (=realtime) or later with RAPERB2000 and this causes different document types.

Delete Asset which depreciation had been run

Hi,
I have a scenerio which asset had been created and depreciation had been run for few months. However currently we found that the asset had been created wrongly. Is there a way to reverse the depreciation and delete the asset? Or we can only scrap the asset and do manuall adjustment in balance sheet? Pls advice.

You will continue to hear different opinions here, where thoughts range everywhere between "anti-virus software is the evil spawn of Satan" to "anyone not running anti-virus software is a fool."
Truth is, this is still a very personal decision on a Mac. Depending on circumstances, it is still very easily possible to stay safe without using anti-virus software, but circumstances and personal preferences vary widely. Besides which, anti-virus software cannot even remotely provide you a guarantee of protection!

Does one of the amounts tie up with the app's price (plus your state's sales tax if you are in the US, with the other one being how much, and where are you seeing them (on emailed receipts, on your account's purchase history, on your credit card) ?
Did you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account when making the purchase - each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge ($1 or approximate local equivalent) may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account (it should disappear off your account within a few days or so). Different amount between miro and mr8m

The case is that, i have PO in USD. I do MIRO in local currency (not usd) and then i do MR8M of the MIRO.The amount of the miro and mr8m not equals. We have different amount in the reversal invoce. The problem is that the MIRO and his reversal are in local currency. Why i have differences/

Since you are saying that the exchange rate is same for MIRO and MR8M document ,the difference due to exchange rate fluctuation is eliminated .The other reason could be
Lets assume during MIRO your Material master MAP =10,If you have mande GRs then MAP will change ,lets assume your MAP=11
Now if you try to post MR8M doucment the difference amount of 1 (11-10) will go to Price difference account.This is logically correct .Check in your system whether the difference amount is the change in MAP of the material.

this program displays each image for 1 second each.
now my problem is, i want to display these pictures for different amount of time... for example: display pic1 for 1 second, then display pic2 for 3 sec and so on.

Lines broken for clarity. Instead have command all in one line.
This simply repeats the second frame, three times. The .MOV format might 'optimize away' the second and third frame from the final file, but I would not count on it.
Of course, a far better way to animate images (with transition effects, full control over time, and all the bells and whistles) is to load the images into memory and create the slide show using the Java 2D abilities, mostly found in the Graphics class.

My business has 3 TVs displayed in our lobby, each with its own apple TV and they are all linked to the same photo stream. Currently the Atv screensaver displays the photostream pictures of our products for the default 3 seconds. We just added pics/slides that now display messages and useful info for our customers but I want that info to be displayed for a longer period of time than the pictures to give people a chance to read it.
I tried using flickr and powerpoint as a work around but no luck. I created a slide in powerpoint with play length of 15 secs and saved it as a wmv file. I added that file to a "screensaver" set in flickr and pointed the Atv screensaver to that flickr set. It still displays everything, pics and the wmv file at the default 3 sec.
I know I can increase the duration of all pics in the screensaver to display for longer but the goal is to have the pics display at 3 secs and the info slides to display at 15 secs.

The amount of storage that is shown on the box and in Settings are calculated differently - the package uses 1 billion bytes as a gig (i.e. decimal), whereas in Settings it's shown as the binary definition : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2419
Also some space has been used for iOS, the built-in app and some space is lost due to formatting.

Large amount of traffic with 152x mesh and mac-flap

We have just had a Mesh designed by an external company, and when we plugged it in we began have large numbers of mac-flap notification and more than 700mb of traffic sent across our data network.
Our setup includes 2 5508 controllers and 9 152x APs
3 APs (RAP) with their 5.8 antennas are within close proximity on a vertical pole pointing to the other 6 about 1000mtrs away in an arc. With their ethernet ports plugged into the same switch (native vlan 111) as WLC1 (which is LAG'd to two ports)
Vlan 111 for management of Mesh
Vlan 201 for WLAN
DHCP scope on DC on Vlan 100 (helper address from router)
Q, will the closeness of the 5.8 antennas cause any problems with mac-flap or is likely to be the controllers with their LAG connections or something totally different?

the proximity of the antennas shouldn't cause the mac-flap notification, nor should the LAG connection cause this. That's more and indication that the client is flopping between ports on the switch, which generally happens when you are not configured for LAG on the WLC, nor a port-channel on the switch.
the mac address that is being reported in the mac-flap. Is it a client or is it the MAPs?
If it's one of hte MAPs, you may want to check the antennas of the RAPs, since the MAPs sholdl stabliaze once AWPP has run and optimized the path to the network. If they are flapping I would look at possible RF or antenna issues.
