Different between Customer requirement and Sales Order.

Hi, can any expert explain the Different between Customer requirement and Sales Order to me?

Hi...
The Customer sents the requirement ( Like specially manufactured products as per the customer specifications) which can be entered in the form an Inquiry. With ref. to this inquiry a quotation will be sent to the customer. The customer places an order thru document with reference to this quotation.
Now the company processes the order and manufactures the Product and delivers the Product to the Customer and recieves the payment.

    *Individual Customer Requirement *
    Generally this is the material is produced against a Sales order,
    They will have the Stock Categroy as E as special Stock.
    They can be consumed only by the Relevant Sales order.
    Mostly in Case of the MTO this is applicable.
    Sales order Requirement.
    This is again Sales requirements.
    But it can consume any stock,
    the material is not produced against any specific sales order ,
    This is mostly in the MTS Scenario.

  • Field integration between Inventory Transfer and Sales Order?

    Dear Gurus,
    Hope to find you well, we have to redefine our processes of sales. Now stock from a remote site will be transferred to inventory in transit warehouse recorded. Truck Number(UDF) and Document Number  (Inventory Transfer) will be used to trace inventory status and creating Crystal Reporting from Stock Uploading till the A/R Invoice are created. My Query is how can this be achieved in SAP B1 2007 A Patch 10. Please advice. Its very important for us.

    Dear Faisal,
    Unlike the higher package, B1 has no option to link between Inventory Transfer and Sales Order. You have to add UDF and manually maintain the link.

    Link Between SAP SD, MM & FI
    The link between SD and MM :-
    1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.
    2. MRP and availibility check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD also.
    3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with reference to a sales order,the shipping point determination takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data, shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material Master.
    4. The material which you are entering in a sales order must be extended to the sales area of your sales order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this material.
    There are many such links between SD and MM.
    Now the link between SD and FI :-
    1. Whenever you create a delivery with reference to a sales order, goods movement takes place in the bacgground. eg. In case of standard sales order, you create an outbound goods delivery to the customer.
    Here movement 601 takes place. This movement is configured in MM. Also, this movement hits some G/L account in FI. Every such movement of good s hits some G/L account.
    2. The accounts posting in FI is done with reference to the billing documents (invoice, debit note, credit note etc) created in SD. Thus this is a link between SD and FI
    3. Tax determination: In case of a tax determination also, there is a direct link between SD and MM

    Is it any one to one relation between serial number (IN) and sales order? For example, when I create the special serial number for the special sales order (Internal or External) , whether I put the sales order number in the IQ01 or not, sales order accept that serial number(IN). Is it any way to specialize one serial number to exact one sales order number?

    Yes, There is one to one relation ship. U have to maintain serial number profile for the same. The serial number runs on different status.The status ESTO means the serial number is in stock. ECUS means the serial number is at customer site. AVLB means the serial number is available.
    If the status is ECUS then u cant use that again.
    Serail number profile Check t-code OIS2.

    If you have created sales order  for matrial which has both procurement type,after MRP run you will get
    planned order.This planned order you can convert to purchase requisition for external procurement or
    subcontracting.
    You will find sales order number in details of purchase requisition ( ME52N) in Account assignment tab.

  • Link between Inbound Delivery and Sales Order for Third Party

    Greetings Gurus,
    My client is using a third party business model in a retail setting that fulfills sales order via purchase req --> PO --> Inbound delivery with GR posting --> customer billing document created through batch based on the delviery quantity ('G' in item billing relavence) --> vendor invoice reciept happens subsquently.
    My question is this, is there an inexpensive (performance wise) way to link the customer billing and the inbound delivery?
    Since the inbound is not in the doc flow i don't think VBFA will suffice. I think the best route would be via schedule line back up, but i have yet to find a link.
    There are process implications for this link for reporting and customer service which are a critical to the business. Point will be rewarded for sound advice.

    Through the document flow VBFA you can capture the PO number and the link for what you have asked can be found from table EKBE. check out for field BELNR.

    In our business process, we will create sales order from Service Notification and we can see the same in the Document flow. But when i check in the VBFA table, there are no entries. I would like to know how the document flow is updated without updating the VBFA Table or is there any other table gets updated for this flow.

    For one Sales Order # figures in Notification header table- VIQMEL-VBELN.
    Similarly Notification # figures in Sales Order Header table- VBAK-QMNUM
    That is a solid link right there.
    I Also guess technical objects like Equipment, Serial number also form link between the Sales and Service Documents.
    Also check out the logic in document flow program RIBELF20, may be it will give you the clues to the problem.

    Sales order date: Date on which the customer officially places an order to your company.
    All the commitment and product allocation counting starts with reference to this date.
    e.g. customer says that the goods are required from 20 days of placing order, then from this date the calculation starts.
    Delivery date: Date on which after the system goes through material availability date, replenishment time, calculates the date on which physically the goods can be delivered to the customer.
    e.g. customer orders 100 qty of material X in 15 days, you will hve to check this delivery date through availability check which can be done in sales order and also delivery.
    payment date is based on this delivery date.

    one can create and launch a marketing campaign. Its successs is measured with the number of sales orders generated (in my scenario). Here I have some very basic questions:
    1. How do we create a link between a campaign and sales order. Where do we see refernces of each other in a sales order or campaign........i.e, in which tab pages in sales order or campaign respectivley
    2. How does a campaign get reflected in a sales order. To do so what kind of customizing is required .......in campaign/ sales order
    3. If the intended campign is not reflected in sales order, what needs to be done to facilitate correct campign determination.

    U say Inside the Marketing Planner there is a tab called "Discounts". This represents the maintenance of a campaign condition table (which table you use is configured in SPRO).?
    1.You are right and in that tab u will get condition types: 12N0, 1200, 1201, 1202. I will maintain these records here. But can they  be uploaded to R/3.....so that I can see it in condition types under Campaign detmn in R/3
    2. Where Can I see  these condition records created under Discounts tab?….any Specific transaction code in  CRM?
    3. When you say “maintenance of a campaign condition table (which table you use is configured in SPRO” are you talking of CRM or R/3 and what do you mean by “which table you use is configured in SPRO”

  • Link between Delivery and Sales Order Schedule Line

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement in which i need to display quantity and amount at schedule line level and also the delivery and delivery item for each schedule line.
    For example, if there is a sales order O1 and item 10 for which we have 3 schedule lines and 3 deliveries as well say D1, D2 and D3.
    Report should be something like this
    Sales Order    Item   Schedule Line    Delivery    Del Item   Confirmed Order Qty
    O1                 10      1                       D1           10            5
    O1                 10       2                      D2            10            5
    O1                 10       3                      D3            10            4
    How can i determine that a particular delivery corresponds to which schedule line of that saler order-item?
    We have the link between delivery and sales order but is there any way that we can get the link of delivery at schedule line level?

    I suppose you must check with SD functional consultant and the post should also be in the logistics SD forum and not BI. But I suppose there is know specific link between the schedule line of SO to the Delivery. It is more like a bucket flow for ex.
    Sale order   Item    Schedule line  qty
    SO1            Item1     Sch1            10
    SO2            Item1      Sch2           10
    Delivery Item QTy
    DO1       IT1   15
    DO2       IT1    5
    In this case qty 15 is distributed over both SO1 and SO2, and SO2 ITem1 Sch2 has link to both the DOs
    So I am not sure if you can establish a one to one link, please check with your SD consultants.

    Apart from sales order can we have a link between project and customer master ??
    I know that WBS element assignment can be made in sales order but i want to have link between
    customer master and project. I don't want any user field or text field in sales order.

    Yes Mr Ashish!
    As far as iam concern there is no link between Project & Customer Master, you have to link it with SALES order, I had check in XD03,XD01, the complete customer master, i didnt find any field in customer master which links with Project.
    I'll let you know if i find any links.

    I have an issue..I need to send an idoc containing PO with fields (like ebeln, lifnr...etc). Along with this PO, I need to send a field 'customer po number (vbkd-bstkd)' from sales order.
    Could you please help me out to find out the link between purchase order and sales order? how to fetch customer purchase order number from po number?
    Also what is the difference between Purchase order number and Customer purchase order number?

    The customer purchase order number is the number of the purchase order which you get from one of your <b>customers</b>. This number is copied in the sales order, for future reference.
    On the other hand, the purchase order is the order you send to one of your <b>vendors</b>.
    Thus the sales order and the purchase order are two indipendent objects. The customer purchase order number does not reference any document on the ERP. Therefore you can't link a purchase order to a sales order.

    Follow the below steps to find out what all BADI's are called when you press any button in any transaction.
    1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
    2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
    3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
    Now
    4) Execute SAP standard transaction
    5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
    6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
    7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction.
