Different between initial replication and delta replication

Hi,
What is different between initial replication and delta replication of the catalog to B2B?
Denis Khveshchenik

Initial replication will replicate the full catalog
Delta replication - The replication will be based on teh change pointer that have been updated, so only the items that have been changed since the last initial replication will be replicated.  This should result in a quicker replication time.

  • Differenece between oracle streams and oracle Replication

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me difference between oracle streams and oracle replication?
    Regards

refer the link:Difference Between Oracle Replication & Oracle Streams.
Oracle Replication is designed to replicate exact copies of data sets to various databases. Oracle Streams is designed to propagate individual data changes to various databases. Thus, Replication is probably easier if the end goal is to maintain identical copies of data, where Streams is easier if the end goal is to allow different databases to react differently to data changes.
Oracle Replication is a significantly more mature product-- it is quite usable with older databases. Oracle Streams is a much newer technology and is only usable among different 9i databases. Most competent Oracle developers and DBA's are familiar with Oracle Replication, while many fewer have any real experience with Streams.
The Streams architecture strikes me as a lot more flexible than Oracle Replication's. This leads me to suspect that Oracle will be pushing Streams over Replication in subsequent releases, so I would expect new features in Streams, like DDL changes, that aren't in Oracle Replication. Realistically, though, I don't expect any serious movement away from Replication for at least a few releases, so I wouldn't tend to be overly concerned on this front.

  • Diff between WAN replication and MAN replication

    Hi All,
Kinldy tell me differnece between WAN replication and MAN replication in cluster in weblogic server.
    Thanks in advance.
    Balaji kumar

MAN replication uses in-memory replication to keep the primary and secondary copies of the session
on different clusters. It always attempts to locate the secondary session on the remote cluster.
If connectivity between the data centers is lost, the local cluster will replicate the session within
the cluster. On the first request for the session once inter data center connectivity is restored, WebLogic
Server will relocate the session’s secondary to the remote cluster.
WAN replication uses in-memory replication within the primary cluster and asynchronous
replication via a database to keep a third copy of the session at the remote data center.
The database-backed replication mechanism makes the session data available to the other data center's
cluster should data centerlevel failover occur. The local server buffers its primary session updates in
an in-memory buffer that is periodically flushed. The database-backed replication has two modes of
    operation:
    - Local cluster periodically flushed the in-memory buffer to its local database. Cross data center
replication is handled externally using some sort of database level replication technology
    of your choosing.
    - Local cluster uses RMI to push updates periodically from the in-memory buffer to the
remote cluster. The remote cluster writes these updates to its local database.

  • Different between ALE, IDOC and BAPI?

    Hi Folks,
What is the different between ALE, IDOC and BAPI? and send me the following steps?
    Thanks in advance.
    Siva

    Hi,
    please read the below lines.
    ALE
ALE is SAP proprietary technology that enables data communications between two or more SAP R/3 systems and/or R/3 and external systems. When a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution such as R/3 is implemented, companies have to interface the ERP system with legacy systems or other ERP systems.
ALE provides intelligent mechanisms where by clients can achieve integration as well as distribution of applications and data.
ALE technology facilitates rapid application prototyping and application interface development, thus reducing implementation time.
The ALE components are inherently integrated with SAP applications and are robust, leading to a highly reliable system.
ALE comes with application distribution/integration scenarios as well as a set of tools, programs, data definitions, and methodologies that you can easily configure to get an interface up and running.
    BAPI
BAPIs provide a stable, standardized method for third-party applications and components to integrate into the Business Framework. These interfaces are being specified as part of SAP's initiative with customers, partners and leading standards organizations. Also, SAP has implemented the emerging Object Application Group (OAG) specifications with BAPIs.
Pros and Cons for both BAPI and Call Transaction
    BAPI
One of the big plusses for BAPIs is that the interface and function are not supposed to change.  This is a big plus when you do upgrades or hot packs because the transaction can change (format, required inputs etc) which means you then need to update the call transaction.
Some of the BAPIs are better documented and easier to use than others.
You usually need to perform the BAPI that actually does the COMMIT after you call your BAPI.
The Program coding for calling a BAPI is usually cleaner than setting up the screen flow etc for the Call Transaction.
You don't need to worry about special data circumstances interrupting the normal data flow of the screens and causing errors because of that.
BAPIs probably have better performance since they don't do the screen flow processing.
In general if the BAPI exists for the transaction you want to perform and you can figure out how to use it the BAPI is probably the best way to go.
This is just from my experience working with both BAPI and Call Transaction.  I have had some very good successes with BAPIs, but very occasionally found that I could not get the BAPI to perform the update I needed.

  • What's different between busniess system and technical system in SLD?

I can enter product(ect.ERP r/3) , components(ect.FI-CO module) to technical system , then enter technical system to busniess system  but ,who can explain  what's different between busniess system and technical system in SLD, exactly?
    THANKS!

Technical Systems are of following types:
Technical systems are application systems that are installed in your system landscape. An example of an application system is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) server. In the SLD, there are five types of technical systems:
    1.)WEBas java,
    2.)Standalone JAVA
    3.)Third party
    4.)Web as ABAP
    1) Web AS Java
Web AS Java systems consist of one or more instances and each instance is installed on a separate host. An instance itself consists of cluster nodes that can communicate with each other.
    2.)Standalone Java
Standalone Java technical systems are standalone Java applications that are installed in a computer system from an administration perspective. They can also be installed as an operating system service or as a daemon
Web AS java belongs to the NetWeaver Comes with both ABAP and Java, Standalone instread comes separate from the netWeaver.
    3) Third party technical sytem
It can be any of the technical sytem. let us say if you want to send a file to R/3, here the file reside in your local system. for that you can define your local system as a third party technical system.
All those machines that comes under non sap, belongs to the third party.
4.) Web AS ABAP technical systems, ranging from any SAP system to an APO server or CRM server, are based on the same Basis Component (BC), which includes the ABAP interpreter, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Workbench, and so on. A dedicated database, which stores most of the data of the BC and the application components, is associated with the system.
    Also refer : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/24/8fa93e08503614e10000000a114084/content.htm
Business systems are logical systems, which function as senders or receivers within XI. Business systems can be SAP systems or third-party systems.
Depending on the associated technical system, the following types of business systems are defined in the SLD:
    · Web AS ABAP
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS ABAP.
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS ABAP, can play the role either of an application system or an integration server. An integration server is the central component of XI, which provides a framework for the exchange of information among various internal and external entities of a company. The integration server facilitates the interaction between the different operating systems and applications across internal and external networks.
    · Web AS Java
A business system, which is associated with a Web AS Java.
    · Standalone
A business system, which is associated with a standalone Java application.
    · Third-party
A business system, which is associated with a third-party technical system.

Can Photoshop CS 6 & 8 compatible with Window 7 or Window 8.1?
What is the different between Photoshop Element and CS 6 ?

They are two entirely different and separate applications, each one with its own separate and independent development and engineering teams.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve. It has a bunch of features that are absent in Elements.
Elements, on the other hand, is a simplified application lacking much of the power and refinements of Photoshop proper, but it has hand-holding features designed to appeal to amateurs and beginners.
If your needs are not complicated, Elements may just be the ticket for you.
Please realize that you are not addressing Adobe here in these user forums.  We are users just like you.  Personally, I have no connection to Adobe.

  • Diff between update queue and delta queue

    Hi Shreya,
Update queue(LBWQ) comes into the picture when you choose Queued Delta for the Datasource. the data first comes to the Update queue and than goes to the Delta queue, however if you have choosen Direct Delta than the posted record will directly go to the Delta queue(RSA7).

  • Different between database lock and sap lock

    Hi All,
What is different between database lock and sap lock why sap introduced locking mechanism.
    Thanks
    Santosh

From a database perspective, every dialog step forms a physical and logical unit:
the database transaction.. The database lock administration can only coordinate
this type of database transaction. From an SAP point of view, however, this is
not sufficient, because SAP transactions, which are formed from a sequence of
logically related work steps that are consistent in business terms, are generally
made up of several dialog steps. SAP systems need to have their own lock
management. This is implemented using the enqueue work process. This also
ensures that the platform-independence of the lock management is maintained.

Thanks YuliaKlimov, I can reproduce this issue, but I cannot explain the different behaviors between SSAS 2008 and 2008R2. As a workaround,
could you try to use dynamic set or create statics set but with fixed member for example:
    CREATE
    SET CURRENTCUBE.[Prior Month] AS
    [Date].[Date Key].&[20050723].PrevMember
    , DISPLAY_FOLDER = 'Relative Period Sets';
Personally, I think your set is dynamic set, because the currentmember is changed base on current selection. You can also submit this issue

  • What is different between conflict object and lingering object in AD

    Hi
I found lots of conflict object in my Forest on AD 2k8R2 with FFL & DFL 2k3 with dsquery filter "(name=*\0ACNF:*).
But Only I can see 4 to 5 AD object in ADUC.
    How can I found others.
Also these conflict object are replicated with AD replication? and due to these conflict object, can be any issue in AD replication like slow replication or delay replication?
If I delete them then how can I delete and which command or tool like LDP?
Also Is conflict AD Object and lingering objects means are same?
    Please suggest and guide..
See below link of my conflict object ..
    http://sdrv.ms/19DUTbi

IT means... If I don't find duplicate or conflict object in ADUC then I no need to worry about it as after AD tombstone lifetime period, these conflict object would be delete automatically ...?
Conflict objects can be duplicate or lingering objects both & you need to worry. Consider an example, if you have a system named abc & you try to join another system with the same name from other site DC where connection b/w other DC's are down &
ABC information is not present in that local DC, it will allow you to join system in the domain with the same name, then the object joined later vl have CNF added.
Another case, two new systems are joined together from two different AD site with the same name, it will allow you to join & once replication occurs, you will find duplicate name with CNF.
Same problem happens, when you connect old DC which has crossed TSL. WHat happens here is you have most recent DC with the deleted objects, when you connect old DC which has not received replication & crossed TSL, again during replication, you will see
objects with CNF which will be lingering objects.
So, CNF objects can be duplicate & lingering objects both & in both the case, i'll worry. Lingering objects are not visible directly, you can find out using repadmin tool. It is really complex to clean them if they exists in the ready only partition
    of the GC.

The buffer allows the stream to read a whole chunk of data, even though your program requests it one byte at a time. Reading larger chunks from a file e.g. is much faster than trying to read single bytes. Especially considering that usually, a whole cluster is read and you'd discard all but one byte, and then repeat the same...so if the buffered is faster . why there is un buffered streams?Lots of reasons. Maybe you're sure you're going to send or receive all the data in one transaction, so you don't want to waste memory on another buffer. Maybe you're sending data to a device that requires real-time input, like a robotic arm.
