Different between Reader and Acrobat - Forcing URL's to load PDF's into IE

I implemented an action button links in PDF form to connect to server.
When open PDF form by Reader: Links is opened and processed by IE.
When open PDF form by Acrobat: Links is auto opened and processed by Acrobat.
I want to keep actions opened links by IE. Are there anyway that I can turn off auto open links by Acrobat when open PDF form by Acrobat?
I want to force URL's to load PDF's into IE.
Please help me resolve it. Thank a lot.

Oh I have the same problem. My submit button send all input data on PDf Form to an asp.net web server. The web server process it and then response with a html data.
- In case Acrobat Reader : a browser will be openned automatically to receive that html data.
- In case Acrobat Pro : it opens a "download form" and process that html data
It is too ridiculous but my project need to receive html data by browser(not by acrobat pro). We need it for doing something with javascript and DOM elements
Is there any way to do this ? Please help me

  • Why are there print differences between Reader and Acrobat Pro

    I have a PDF file generated by InDesign (CS3). When I print the PDF from Reader (8.1.4) I get lighter text than when the same file is printed by Acrobat Pro (9.1.0). A close examination of the printed letters shows that the text printed from Reader is not solid black, while the text from Pro is solid black.
    Is this typical or is there something I need to do to improve the printing from Reader?

    I am a CADD Coord. (CADD Mgr)designer) I used to do a lot of design. Just recently we have noticed that anything printed from Adobe, the reader or the full version, is printing so lightly in many cases that it looks like it is missing data. whenever we create teh PDF from Autodesk products or Bluebeam Revue, it is the same. Bluebeam prints perfect. Yet the exact same file printed through Adobe is very, very light. Even printing as image it does this. And it appears at random. Some people print ok, but the exact same printer sent by someone else, using the same method, comes out too light in Adobe.
    I have contacted Autodesk and they have punted it back. Anyone have any answers or clues to fix? i send out deliverables for clients all the time and I hate to find out they print and miss something of the design.

  • PDFs look different in Adobe reader and Acrobat professional compared to the built in PDF viewer on windows 8

    Hi there,
    I have been trying to narrow down an issue we have been having for some time in printing PDF files and finding that they look different on paper compared to screen.  Up until today our big KIP plotter got the blame, but as I have been collecting notes on a little windows 8 tablet I noted that PDFs opened in the windows PDF viewer have the same visual defects as the printouts.  My example today is that on a CAD drawing there is a small box/frame with a number in their, I tried printing and the frame was completely blacked out.  As a test I tried saving the PDF as a TIFF file from Adobe Acrobat professional and this file had the same fault as the printed copy.  When I open it in the windows 8 pdf viewer I can see that there is a shading within this box that does not show on Adobe Reader (latest version 11.0.10.32), the adobe reader and acrobat pro version both show a white background to the box.  We have been having lots of issues with sections being missing from drawings and overly feint lines.
    I am not sure where to start trying to narrow down why we are getting different results in different PDF readers.  Is there anyone who maybe able to point me in the right direction?  It almost feels like the shading or colour density is not being consistent when PDFs are being opened in different packages.
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

    Some PDF viewers comply with the PDF ISO Standard (ISO 32000) "just enough" while others (such as Adobe's) fully comply.
    As with anything there's a cost to using anything that comes from a "just enough" approach.
    Be well...

    Hi All,
    I would like to know difference between implemenation and time lines for MM as mentioned below.
    How the implementation differs between BW and BI , Is BI takes more time for implementing MM module  than on BW?
    Thanks in advanced. (Full points will be awarded)

    Hi Timo,
    Thanks for response!
    But as i read from the following url: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/apirefs.1111/e10653/oracle/jbo/ViewObject.html, the setQueryTimeOut(int timeOutMills), the timeOut is mentioned in milliseconds. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    and i have overriden the executeQuery() method in the View Object Impl class as shown below:
    public void executeQuery() {
    Map sessionScope = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope();
    sessionScope.put("MyQuery", this);
    try {
    super.executeQuery();
    } finally {
    sessionScope.remove("MyQuery");
    throw new JboException("Query Taking too long to respond");
    and in the JAVA class i am calling the above method like this:
    monitor.setQueryTimeOut(6);
    monitor.executeQuery();
    But the issue is:
    1. The above exception message is getting carried forward to other pages as well. I mean somewhere in the session/ADFContext this message is being saved and error comes up/pops up when i click on other tabs of the page. How do i clear this?
    2. The above exception message is coming for the first time but when i click the 'Submit' button second time, i am getting the results and also the message that 'Query is taking too long to respond'. This should not be the case, everytime it should show the same message as the timeout limit is less and the query should end without fetching the results.
    Kindly let me know how to resolve the above issues, any pointers will be helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Installing both Reader and Acrobat 0 Standard

    Is it possible to install both Reader and Acrobat 9 Standard on the same computer?
    I want to be able to make sure whatever I produce in Standard will work and open up in Reader or any other PDF viewer someone might use.

    Is there some kind of guide to setup both reader and Pro on the same computer, just have them do different functions?

  • FB60 screen change layout different between DEV and PRD

    Hi,
    I'm having problem with transaction FB60. When i try to change the layout in PRD, in screen Edit System Setting, some of the field showing 0 length. For example in WBS element field, in DEV show length 24 but PRD show length 0. I try to compare the version but it is same (program & table structure - ACGL_ITEM). When I debug the program, found out that it will get the structure from sap internal c program call 'AB_GET_CX_DATA'. So, maybe this program version are different between DEV and PRD.
    Anybody knows what is the cause of this problem? Or maybe somebody can tell me how to check sap internal c program.
    Thank you very much.

    Yes. FB60 is Enter Vendor Invoice. In this screen you can see a table with column such as GL Acct, Debit/Credit, Amount in DC, Cost Center and others. You can add or remove some of the field using Table Setting and create Screen Variant. My problem is, the length of WBS Element and Profit Center field is 0. How to change the length.
    I already searched in forum but I only found how to create screen variant.
    Thanks.

  • What is the different between component and component type in extract struc

    Hi All,
    What is the different between component and component type in the Extract Structure?
    I used them, but I never really know the different between them yet.
    Thanks,
    Grace

    The difference between Component and Component Type are:
    Component This is essentially the field name in the extraction structure. These can either be SAP delivered field names or custom field names (e.g. Y* or Z*).
    Component Type This defines the data definition for the field, along with associated attrributes and descriptions for anything using that Component Type, to define the corresponding Component. If you double-click on any Component Type in an extraction structure, it will show you the definitions that have been setup for that Component Type (will display as Data Element but it's essentially synonymous - Component Type refers to structures and Data Elements refer to tables).

    Welcome to our community, Vinesh
    Firstly, I'm thinking you have wandered into the wrong
    community. You are asking a question about Acrobat and this
    community is focused on Adobe Captivate. If you want to ask further
    questions about Acrobat, you should consider asking in the Acrobat
    community. You may do so by clicking the link below:
    Click
    here to visit the Acrobat community
    Now for the gist of what you asked. There is a huge
    difference between Acrobat Reader and Acrobat. One uses Acrobat as
    the application used to create content that is later viewed by
    someone with the basic Acrobat reader. The reader is a free
    download for all. You have to purchase Acrobat in order to create
    content that you produce for the reader to present.
    Hopefully that makes a bit of sense. If not, try posting the
    same question over in the Acrobat forums and see what someone
    replies with.
    Cheers... Rick

  • What is different between #INITSEG and INITSEG in file bootsect.s?

    I read the file bootsect.s,I think the INITSEG is constant,
    and I think #INITSEG and INITSEG are always equal 0x9000,
    but why are they different usage?
    Look:
    .text
    BOOTSEG = 0x07c0
    INITSEG = 0x9000
    entry start
    start:
    mov ax,#BOOTSEG
    mov ds,ax
    mov ax,#INITSEG
    mov es,ax
    jmpi go,INITSEG
    I want to know what is different between #INITSEG and INITSEG?
    How to use  #INITSEG and INITSEG?

    I think you are currently mixing up the two definitions. I think the assembler here uses the hash prefix (#) to declare values and a clean number for addresses and offsets.
    ... http://www.oldlinux.org/Linux.old/kerne … bootsect.s
    BOOTSEG = 0x07c0 ! original address of boot-sector
    INITSEG = 0x9000 ! we move boot here - out of the way
    start:
    mov ax,#BOOTSEG ! set register ax to #BOOTSEG = value 0x07c0
    mov ds,ax ! set register ds to register ax = value 0x07c0
    mov ax,#INITSEG ! set register ax to #INITSEG = value 0x9000
    mov es,ax ! set register es to register ax = value 0x07c0
    ! ds and ax cannot be filled directly, the value has to be set to the accumulator register (ax) first I think.
    ! Thats the reason for 4 lines instead of 2
    mov cx,#256 ! set register cx to #256 = value 256
    sub si,si ! set register si to 0
    sub di,di ! set register di to 0
    rep ! call the command in the next line
    movw ! move cx (256) words = 512 bytes from ds (0x07c0) to es (0x9000)
    jmpi go,INITSEG ! jump to the address go + 0x9000. go is the offset of the label "go" to the start of the moved memory segment
    go: mov ax,cs ! here is the label "go"
    Edit: That should be as86 (man as).

  • Is there a cleaner that wipe all versions of Reader and Acrobat?

    I am running Windows XP SP3 and IE8.
    I made the mistake of trying to upgrade Reader from version 7 and now I keep getting a message that Reader will not work inside my browser. It looks lik it keeps trying to open Acrobat instead of Reader. I can't seem to fix this and I can't get rid of the Adobe Add-ons in IE. I need something that will comletely wipe all traces of Reader and Acrobat so I can start over again. Does anyone know of a cleaner that is available to do this?
    Thanks for any help.

    Which is why Adobe started building cleaner versions 3-4 years ago. Versions 9 and earlier are no longer supported so building tools for them has a lower priority than adding features to the existing cleaner for 10 and 11.
    For a list of all product versions, see the Release Notes. For what versions can coexist, see the admin guide (yes: Reader and Acrobat can be of different versions with limitations).
    Both docs reside at www.adobe.com/go/acrobatetk.

  • Why is my SSD showing 250mb/s difference between read and write...

    So i have recently upgraded to a SSD in my 2011 MBP. 2.4Ghz i5 16Gb RAM. I swapped my HDD with a Samsung 840 Series 250Gb SSD, I noticed a huge speed bump. See attached photos. Read is clocked at 503MB/s peak, and Write is clocked at 260MB/s peak on the SSD. My Question is why is there a 250MB/s difference between read and write?? Using Black Magic Disk Speed test. Mac OS X 10.8.4 Beta.
    Thanks

    Writes are performed very differently on SSD than they do on a hard drive, and it is common for SSDs to have lower write speeds than reads.
    It's actually quite interesting if you're a geek: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Write_amplification
    As long as the speeds do match your manufacturer specification for the model (and they do: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage/MZ-7TD250BW ) , there is nothing to be concerned about.
