Different brand earbuds are barely half the volume they used to be!

So these other brand earbuds I use like Bose and Koss don't work well with my iPod anymore. The volume is literally so low I have to turn it all the way up and it's still not loud enough! And yes my Sound Check is off, butt when I blast my apple earbuds it's so loud I cud tell what song is playing in the room next door. Idk if that "determining audio or volume levels" thing has anything to do with it because it always does that whenever I turn iTunes do I just X it out

If the iPod is loud enough with the iPod headphones then it is outputting the sound at the correct levels. Sounds like the issue is with your other headphones. The iPod does not 'know' which headphones are connected and therefore can't change the volume being played. The 'determining audio levels' is nothing to do with it.

You can share a library with as many devices as you want but they cannot have seperate subsets like you wish. They would all have access to all information in the library. You could "Manually" sync content to each device by doing the following:
On Mac: iTunes > Preferences > Devices Tab > Put a check in the box next to sentence that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically > Then click ok.
On Pc: Edit > Preferences > Devices Tab > Put a check in the box next to sentence that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically > Then click ok.

If you do not want all devices to have access to all the media from the main library, you would need to create a library for each device. See the article below for more info:

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Overnight my contact list went from 1492 contacts to 52.. With help from Apple support I retrieved all of my contacts. Here is the problem, I lost the groups. None of my contacts are sorted into groups as they used to be which is very important for me.

Also, there are no longer pictures associated with each contact.

Since loading ver 13 the toolbar buttons are 3 times the size they were and now take up large amount of display. How do I reset them?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

How can I get the sounds , like clicking,etc to work on iPad 2 with IOS 5. In the settings all sounds are on and the volume is high but I don't get a sound.

After downloading IOS 5, I no longer get the sounds on my IPAD 2 to work. They are on in settings and the volume is at maximum, but the sounds such as keyboard click, email sent etc, donor work.
Any suggestions.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. If P_TYPE='P' , then the data must get saved in KEC_FDACCT_DTL table.
The problem what is happening is,
If i enter the details with all the records as 'P' , the record gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL
If i enter the details with records of 'P' and 'R' , then nothing gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL.
Even the records with 'P' is not getting updated.
I want the records of 'P' , to be inserted into table KEC_FDACCT_DTL, even when multiple records of all types of 'P_Type' (R, w & P) are entered.
So, can you please help me with this.

Advice on RAID Sets, Volume Sets, and RAID Levels of the Volume Sets using an Areca Controller

I have read through a lot of information on disk usage, storage rules for an editing rig, users inquiries/member responses in this forum and I thank each and every one of you – especially Harm.
In building my new workstation, I purchased five (5) WD 1T, 7k, 64M SATAIII hard drives and an Areca RAID card, ARC-1880ix-16-4G, which I plan to use primarily as my media/data disk array. The workstation will use a 128GB SATAIII SSD as the OS/program drive and I will transfer two (2) WD Raptor/10k SATA 70GB drives from my current system for pagefile/scratch/render use. I tentatively plan on using a mobo SATAIII port for the SSD and mobo SATA ports with a software RAID (level 0) for the 10k Raptors.
In reading the Areca Instruction manual, I am now considering exactly how I should configure the 5 physical 1TB drives in terms of RAID Level(s), Volume Sets, and RAID Sets. I must admit that I like the opportunity of allowing for a Dedicated Hot Spare as I am generally distrustful of the MTBF data that drive vendors tout and have the bad experience in the past of losing data from a mal-configured RAID array and a single drive hardware failure (admittedly, my fault!).
In line with the logic that one doesn’t want to perform disk reading while trying to write at the same time (or vice-versa), I am thinking the approach above should work OK in using the mobo disk interface and both software and external hardware RAID controllers without having to create separate RAID level configurations within a Volume Set or further dividing up the physical drives into separate RAID sets. I know in forum messages that Harm noted that he had 17 drives and I could envision a benefit to having separate RAID sets in that situation, but I am not at that point yet.
To some degree I think it might be best to just create one RAID Level on one Volume Set on one RAID Set, but want to solicit thoughts from veteran controller users on their workflows/thoughts in these regards.

Of course, it's always something! I purchased the Caviar Blacks by mistake - which are non-TLER. I will work with EggHead to return the ones I purchased and replace them with RE4 versions as I'm not thrilled about the possibility of the controller declaring the volume/disks degraded unnecessarily and although I have the DOS utility WDTLER where one is supposed to be able to enable/disable TLER on WD drives - I suspect WD is way beyond that now anyway with current builds.
I agree with you about just testing the performance of the options for the raptors - on the mobo and then on the controller. When I benchmark them I'll post the results in case others are curious.

Ps 3d and filters and save for web are not working the way they should

At work we just put cs6 on a w7 machine running 64 bit which has more than that required mem and or ram to run cs6 - unfortunately I have to use a windows based machine at work (cheapskates). Anyways. I see the 3d menus and the filter menu in PS but they aren't funtional. The filter menu drop down is there but Liquify is the only one that shows up the rest are gray. The option to choose 3d is also there but they are not functional (grayed out) - I took a look at some online tutorials on using the 3d effect in PS CS6 and Ive gone through it a few times and it still won't work for me. Also, in illustrator when I save for web - when I adjust the pixel dimensions and move the mouse over and click on the image that I am saving for web nothing happens and I'm completely boggled about how to get the image size to change in the save for web pane. Typically I am used to being able to input the the number into the pixel dimenion field and click on the image and the image resizes (on a mac you can either click on the image or hit return and the image will resize in front of your eyes!). I am unable to get this to work the way I am used to, this happens for me in both ill5 and ill6 on this piece of crap windows machine. Maybe I just need to reinstall? Maybe adobe has changed the way this works? Maybe a sledge hammer into this windows machine would solve all my problems!? IDK. someone help... help me... pleeeeaaaaaaaaaaasssseeeee

This gets a "stupid comment of the day" medal. Seriously. These days Macs are just as convoluted and effed up as Windows was a few years ago - nice as long as everything works, but god forbid you have a problem. So by all means, update your graphics driver and be glad that you actually have that choice rather than having to wait half a year for Apple to fix it...

Can't adjust the volume while using DJ controller

I've got a DJ controller. I just hopped from Windows to MAC (Pro Retina 13). I basically use Traktor DJ whenever I mix. Normally when I'd quit the program for DJing, the controller kept working - so I could play music via youtube through my speakers.
And just control the volume overall with the volume keys. Now that I'm on MAC, the DJ program works fine and I can control the master with a knob, but as soon as I quit the DJ program - It plays music through youtube and iTunes just fine, the only thing is it won't allow me to adjust the volume in any way.
The controller is mapped to a program, I can't use a master knob to adjust the volume out of the program...
Whenever I try to adjust the volume with the F11 and F12 keys it just shows an O with a slash through it.
I really want to control my volume through my mixer, please help!!!

The tabs on Mozilla ux are barely visible(the top half is only shown). How to fix this?

This is in Firefox 25 -- also known as "Nightly"? I'm very unfamiliar with UI changes that might be in that version...
Could you test in a new Firefox profile? In addition to bypassing current add-ons and custom settings, it should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager as described in [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]]. To switch back to your default profile, you also would exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
To avoid data loss, I recommend using the default location suggested (not any folder with existing files), and not deleting any profiles without making backups first.
Does the tab bar look normal in the new profile?
