How do I use iTunes on one computer to manage two iPads with different contents?

I just bought an iPad Air 2 and want to use it with iTunes on my MacBook Pro. No problem so far! However, I want to continue to use my "old" iPad 2 for my wife and want to keep managing it as I always have using iTunes on my MacBook Pro. The thing is that I want to make it possible for the two iPads to have quite different content to allow for the different needs and tastes of my wife and me. How should I go about this?

I took a look at it but it seems to be aimed solely at "media" on an iPad, i.e. movies, music, TV shows etc. This is fine, but I also want to be able to deal with all the apps on each iPad too, so that when I connect each iPad to my MacBook through iTunes, the synching process works just like it always has for my first iPad (an IPad 2). I don't mean that I want all the apps on both iPads to be the same (my wife doesn't need all the apps that are on the iPad 2 at present), but I do want to be able to add/remove/update media and apps on each iPad, and update the iOS on each iPad.
Basically, I guess, I want a situation whereby when I plug in either of the iPads, iTunes recognizes each as a separate device and has a totally separate "library" (backup?) of music, movies, TV shows, etc. and — most importantly — apps. Is that possible?

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

Why in Windows 8.1 do I have 2 different Profiles with identical default folders but each with totally different contents?

I want to backup my email messages and archives. I intend to them put into my 'Documents' folder for 'Cloud' backup and also into an external hard drive which I have always used in the past and, as a 76 year old with a new computer, 8.1 in place of XP and TB instead of Outlook Express, I just feel more confident about my external hard drive! I have TB 31 and Windows 8.1. I have set my computer to show 'hidden files and folders'. In username/AppData/Local there is a TB folder with 'Profiles' and it has my XXXX.default folder - but it only has a limited number of files and folders (Cache/cache2....). In username/AppData/Roaming there is also a TB folder with 'Profiles' and it has my same XXXX.default folder - but this contains a completely different and far more extensive collection of files and folders (4 different folders plus several MAB and SQLITE files and others). Why do I have two identical default folders with different contents? Do I have to save both of them? Can someone please explain/help, preferably in words that this 76 year old might understand.

it is very ridiculous, i just buy apple product (iphone), but why there are different content between itunes in each country..??
then I must doing syncronize music from my CD/MP3 collection just because I can't buy such items in iTunes US or any country.
please be advised, that I already put my own credit card ID, this means I can buy what I want to.

You are addressing fellow users here, these forums are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/posts for that to happen).
If the copyrightholders don't give Apple a license to sell their content in a particular country then Apple can't sell it there. Have you looked to sell what other, for example, music purchase download sites are available in your country ?

It's easy to rename each unit. When you connect your iPad and it syncs, the unit will appear on the left of the iTUnes screens just click on the unit there and you can rename it. You should do this immediately so you can see which unit was backed up by it's name. You can sync as many decices as you want in one iTunes library and you can even share Apps as long as you're going to sync both from teh same iTunes account. My household has 2 iPad 2s and we share our apps, and we also share downloaded books, magazines, music, etc.......

I have 2 iPads but just one ID. I use the iPad 2 and my daughter uses the mini. Both have different contents, as her mini contains a lot of videos that she's taken. Niw, I just bought an iPad Air and want to essentially transfer my iPad 2 contents there and also transfer my daughter's mini contents to that iPad 2. If I back up both to the same computer, will I have access to both sets of content and transfer the data to whichever device as I see fit? I just want to make sure so I don't lose any of her content (especially).

Using iTunes on a computer, be sure to set the backup(s) to be stored locally and not the iCloud for efficiency's sake. If all devices belong to the same AppleID, each one will store its backup on a separate file, and if appropriate, you can choose any for a restore as needed. As shown in Diavonex pic, the backups are listed in Preferences / Devices. Hover the cursor over each and a popup will appear detailing which device it belongs to. And you can keep, if needed, more than one backup of a device: control-click on the backup to preserve and choose Archive from the menu (Older backups get overwritten otherwise).

Store different filetypes in different content dbs

is it possible to configure sharepoint to store e.g. different filetypes (by extension like .jpg, .wav, ...) in different content databases? Or maybe store chose by filesize?

That is reasonable, however that comes at a cost;
Transparency costs extra. If you want it then you need to buy a third party solution.
You need to spend more time getting your backups up to snuff
You have to spend extra time configuring it.
Now combine that with the cost of your SAN storage tiers and the amount of data you expect to externalise. In most cases it just doesn't make sense as you don't save that much money on the storage but have to expend a significant amount in licensing and
overheads.
Now, to get the RBS provider to work you'd also have to bypass shredding, which means that you'll actually be inflating the size of some of the .xml based content you store in your database. It might be that you end up using more space because of less effective
shredding than you save.
Also, consider other options. For really large video files SharePoint isn't the best option. They may well be best stored completely outside SharePoint on a fileshare somewhere.

is it possible to have a different content for a row popin in every different row?
For example: In Row 1 I have a ViewContainerUIElement containing View A, in Row 2 I have a ViewContainerUIElement containing View B...
This is what I need, different views in every row...
Is this somehow possible?

OK than. Have you think about one view which will be in your table popin, but each element in this view will be created dynamically? Than you will get the look as there are different views, different design for each row, but it will be the same view.

Load different content in same page

Hello,
I am putting together a css site and have my css file working
and an html file that sets up my page how I would like. however I
don't have the nav bar working in an ideal fashion. Is it possible
to have different content load into the content area of my one html
file based on user nav menu selection? If it is not already clear,

SAP portal different content

Hello All!
We have EP 7.0 connected to MDM. In portal we had only MDM users. On the main portal page (page that You see just after login) MDM team stores very personal information that is related only to MDM users. Now we connected EP to SRM and in EP we have SRM users also. The problem is: SRM users see information on the main login page that should be seen only by MDM users. How can we hide MDM information, on main page, from SRM users? Is it possible to create different main pages for SRM and MDM users with different content on it? And how to maintain this content?

is your content specific to MDM and SRM users comes within a role.
I mean you must be having roles for different group of users right.....
Or if this content comes under desktop page...i.e. not in content area...
then you can create 2 separate desktops.....

Displaying different content on Maximize of Portlet

Is there a way by which i can display different content on Maximize event of a portlet than the one displayed in the normal portlet.
saw one <render:jspContentUri> taglib which promises to do that. but it only maximizes the existing content and does not change it.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

I need to show "Animation 1" once a day, then show "Animation

Same format, different content?

I'm preparing to create 12 DVD masters for duplication. All the DVD's will have an identical format, but different content, and I want them to all behave the same way.
Each DVD will have 2 menus, 14 songs with singalong lyrics, and 2 "wallpaper" graphic stills.
I want to build the first one, using generic titles for the files (song01, song02, wallpaper01, etc.). I'd like to then use that as a format for the following 11 DVD's by giving the new files the same names, and then typing in the new titles in the menu buttons.
Is this a do-able approach, or will I need to build each DVD from scratch?

You should be fine, (unless you are using stories or
markers which are based on time and the new assets
are different lengths or menus different layouts .
The songs will have different lengths, and there will be 4 "medleys" of 5 songs each which will have markers where each new song starts. Juding from your comments, it sounds like that will negate repeating filenames with assetts that have different lengths and marker positions.

The menu layouts will be the same, with different song titles for the buttons.
