Is there a way to setup 5 days or 7 days work Schedule on a single WorkCenter or capacity? Plz help

Yes, it is possible.
To do this, please change shifts in the work center capacity or change shifts in the capacity.
The shifts are defined in OP4A

How can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

We need the Request Restart ability when scheduling a single reoccurring job in Redwood. Most of our jobs are scheduled in CHAINs which offers the Final Status Handler on Step level, and the schedule is "paused" when a job in the CHAIN has failed ( the next instance does not populate until the OP MSG has been Replied to) , and once the OPERATOR message is replied to, the CHAIN can resume running again ( desired ) . But we need this same ability when scheduling a single job not in a CHAIN. In our testing, we set up a job with Request Restart chosen on the Error , Killed and Unknown selections on the Restart Behavior Tab. But we found when a job is scheduled say once a day at 8AM, and when it fails, an OPERATOR msg appears allowing a Restart choice ( desired), but the next day's schedule also populates ( undesired) and we do NOT want the schedule to continue on yet because we need a chance to fix the error before the next insance runs for business reasons. So how can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

Hello Fran,
You can wrap the job chain in a master job chain in the first step and set the final status handler there.
You can also set the Restart Behavior to 'Stop Submit Frame', in that case you will have to resubmit the job once you are finished troubleshooting.

How do you set different sleep times for different days?

Energy Saver --> Schedule allows you to schedule start/wake/sleep/shut down, but it doesn't provide very fine grained control. Is there a way to set the computer to sleep or shut down at different times on different days, to wake only on particular days, etc.?

AFAIK, Energy Saver doesn't provide the granularity that you're seeking. Launch the Terminal app, copy & paste this command into the window that pops up, hit the return key, and peruse the underlying documentation for the power management setup process:
man pmset | cat

Possible iPhone bug with custom recurring day schedule? Need help.

In Microsoft Outlook I have a 64 day schedule that is set up as single all day recurring events each day. Each day of the 64 day schedule recurrs every 64 days. Day 1 recurrs every 64 days, day 2 recurrs every 64 days, etc., etc.
When I synced this to an iPhone, each day had an incorrect custom recurring day set at every 18 days. This, of course threw off the whole schedule. After doing some testing, I found out that a custom recurr of 45 days worked, a custom recurr of 46 days told the iPhone it recurred every 1 day. 47 day recurr did the same thing. 48 day recurr told the iPhone it recurred every 2 days, 49 day recurr became 3 days, 50 became 4 days, 51 became 5 days...64 became 18 days.
Is this indeed a bug with iPhone or is there something I can do for a single 1 day event recurr every 64 days? And, why is there no custom setting when setting up an event on the iPhone?

Send different mails automatically on different days-Auto Responder

I need to develop an Auto Responder application where my application has to send different mails to different types of Auto Responder customers.These mails should be sent to these customers every x days after their subscription i.e., once a customer has subscribed for this Auto Responder he will be recieving a mail 3rd day after subscription,then 7 days after subscription and then 10 days after subscription.This will vary on the particular auto responder to which the client has subscribed.
I got the suggestion that using timer and timer task classes in the java mail will be helpful.But can anyone tell me how to use these methods to send different mails to different customers on different days. I need it urgent.

I got ur problem. I believe the Days X is fixed for each auto responder. I mean for auto responder1 days are 3,7,10 , for autoresponder2 days are 5,8,10 ... etc
R u using any database, if yes follow Soultion 1 otherwise follow Solution2

AutoResponderDays(comma deliminated numbers ex: 1,3,5,10.. ) ( i belive Days x is fixed and with varying difference, if it is fixed difference ie 1, 5, 9 with a diff of 4 then we need autoresponderinterval instead of autoresponderDays )

Fill out appropriate responders data and customer data

Suppose we assume autorespondertable contains 5 rows.
and customertable contains 10 rows(10 customers)
Now the logic is
Create a common TimerTask which has attributes same as autoresponder row.
Create a Thread(TimerTask in this case), for each row in autoresponder table(in our case 5 TimerTask 's are created)
Follow these steps(Implement the logic in run method of TimerTask).
1) Read rows of all customers whose autoresponder is this id
2) Notice there subscription date, do some work on that date and compare with autoresponderdays data. (suppose if customer subscribtion date is 20/07/2005, todays date is 23/07/2005, if autoresponder day is 3 , take the diff between two dates and compare with autoresponder date) if yes
Read MailFormat for that autoresponder and add customer name, blah blah, use JavaMail Mail api and send it . and
3) Important this TimerTask must be scheduled for every day
i,e. Please have a look to my reply in JSP forum. It should be
INTERVAL=1000*60*60*24 (1 day)
4) it checks every day all the autoresponders

Hi,
Vendor Subrange (VSR) is a function using which you can subdivide a vendor's product range according to some criterion.
e.g. Suppose your particular vendor is having two product ranges i.e. Detergents & Soaps. So in that case you can specify which materials belong to which VSR in vendor info records and then accordingly, system clubs together Pur Req's together in single PO while converting PR to PO automatically using Tcode-ME59N.
Also as said earlier, you can check first if your problem can be solved using Lot Size Procedure. If not, then give a try to VSR function.

How do I make a six day schedule on iCal?

My school schedule runs on a 6 day schedule, and I got the schedule to import into my iCal after some work. However, it only comes up as day 1, day 2, day 3, etc., and for my optimal use I was hoping that there was a way to put my exact class times in each one without having to type each one in individually. I know you can set up a reoccuring event daily/weekly/monthly but I am unsure of how to go about my needs with the already confusing six day schedule. Any help would be appreciated!

Teacher/Student 9 day scheduling - 9 day schedule (within a 5 day week)

hi there everyone,
I work in the Quebec school system using a 9 day repeating schedule which is causing me all sorts of headaches trying to use repeating events...
what I am trying to do:
enter in my daily schedules for all of the 9 days having them each repeat nine days later (excluding weekends) for an entire school term. This requires being able to exclude or skip weekends and certain weekdays (professional development days etc) in order to have the 9 day schedule repeat properly.
what i have done so far:
i was able to gain some success by changing the ical preferences to display only 5 days, but then when i repeat an event (telling it to repeat every 9 days) it counts Saterday and Sunday therefore putting the event in the wrong place.
is there a way to exclude a day from being counted when setting events to repeat? ie weekends and pro-d days?
any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

i have worked out a work around... I entered in my first 9 days and then had each event repeat every 11 days (9 days plus a weekend) which worked out for the first week. then for the following weeks I individually changed the preceding week's event repeat times, adding or subtracting days whenever neccessary to corespond to the number of uncountable days (weekends and pro-d days)
while this works it is far too time consuming...
for the next term I will use the custom, monthly option and select the approprate dates for each month which will likely be more efficient...
it would be even more efficient to be able to enter in each date that you would like the event (or series of events) to repeat on (like the custom, monthly option except being able to continue on to the next month and the next etc.)

These get lost on synchronisation or sometimes end up on a totally different day/date. What can I do as it is very annoying.
Also it altered some theatre dates where I had entered both date and name of play - the name of the play vanished when I synchronised not just on i-pad but it deleted the info from Outlook as well.

Others have the same complaint. iCal on the iPad can do recurring appointments, but not in the format you want (First Tuesday of every Month). It will do the same DATE each month (e.g, the 25th of each month), but for now it does not do a particular DAY of each month.

Ability to display data in Different Page Sizes in a Single RTF

We have a requirement to show different page sizes in a Single RTF file .
Please let me know you have worked on such a functionality as part of earlier assignments.
Requirement Detail:
We have 2 templates (One Legal (8.5*14) and One Statement ( 5.5*8.5)) as part of the same report in 2 different pages.
Conditionally we need to show xml data in either the Statement or the Legal Format .
Issues Currently faced:
1.     When the Statement is chosen as a user parameter: (Attachment : ReportoutputforStatement.pdf)
-     The data is super-imposed on the Legal layout instead of showing it on the Statement layout . Hence the page dimensions are not as expected in the report.
-     There is a extra last page in the report which is blank with the Statement Layout.
2.     When the Legal option is chosen as a user parameter: (Attachment : ReportoutputforLegal.pdf)
-     The Data is appropriately shown on the legal layout
-     There is a extra last page in the report which is blank with the Statement Layout.

Have you tried creating two subtemplates and conditionally calling them based on the parameter chosen?
If I understand correctly,currently you have a single RTF template (2 pages) that includes the two different layouts..

The same payment term with two different Day Limit

Hello Experts,
I have the same Payment terme AAAA: 45 days, end of the month for two different Day Limit (15 and 31)
2 calcul mode are possible :
1/ fixed date :31 + additional months :1
2/ fixed date :31 + additional months :2
Actually this is the second method in use and according to the informations I have it should be the first one.
Then the user for the 16/04/2010 as Baseline date, is expecting the end of May ( 16 + 45 days >> 31th of May > 31/05) But the system calculate it for the 30/06/2010.
I want to understand the settings and how to correct.

Are you referring to 2 iTunes accounts/Apple ID's? If so you can't, all purchases are tied to each Apple ID so if you need to say reload an app or update, it would be with that account.

How can I merge different days from my vacation together

How can I merge the different days of my vacation together in Imovie Events. I have 9 days of the same vacation that show by days in Events. Some of the days are not in order to the day they were taken. A few of the days even show in a different year. (Don't know how I did that) If I can merge the different vacaton event days together, can I be ensured the vacation days will be in order when they were taken.
