Different delays for tooltips

Is it possible to set different delays for two tooltips ? for example, for one component its tooltip will show immediately, but for another component in the same panel its tooltip will show after 2 seconds ?
As a guess I would use mouseEntered() on the components to do (ToolTipManager).setInitialDelay(...) whenever the value changes.
Is there a way to set tooltip specific values for the values you usually set through the ToolTipManager ?

  • Using time delay for displaying tooltips

    Hi guys, hope you are all fine,
    I have a little problem, i need to use time delay for displaying a tooltip for a specific amount of time but i don't know what code to use.
    Can you please give me a hand? I also try to find out the right way on how i can use tooltips when using a Jpanel and paintComponent. I amcurrently using setXORMode but this is not too efficient.
    Thanks guys,
    Regards,
    John.

    Ok guys, for any other who need this info, you get time delay by this:
    try {
    Thread.sleep(time);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    // in "time" you put an integer value which represents milliseconds

  • How to configure different listener for each database in 11gR2 RAC

    Hi Friends,
    Current Prod Setup :
    11gR2 (11.2..0.2) RAC on RHEL 5.5 with 3 SCAN Listeners on default 1521 port.
    Having 4 databases which are using SCAN-IP and listening on default port only.
    As per policy, we have to create separate listeners (on different port) for each database.
    like,
    DB1 - 1522
    DB2 - 1523
    DB3 - 1524
    DB4 - 1525
    Even If I configure 4 listeners using NETCA, how my failover & load balancing will happen using SCAN & Newly Created Listeners ???
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Manish

    Hi,
    I tried on 11gR2 TEST RAC Server to have different listener with different port (1529) for SCAN & Node Listener & tested failover, load-balancing which was successful.

    Actually different ports for different databases are required to have separation of duties. Once Firewall enabled betwen Client & DB Server only privileged users would have access to particular database.

  • Setting variable "Frame Delay" for animation.

    I am trying to set frame delay in an animation I am working on. There are a lot of frames and they all have different delays. I am not sure if scripting is the best way but here is what I have so far (using VBA because that is what I am familiar with): I am erroring out at line 23 saying it is a "type mismatch"
    Sub Set_Frame_Delay()
        Dim appPS As Photoshop.Application
        Dim docPS As Photoshop.Document
        Dim NewLay  As Photoshop.ArtLayer
        Dim LaySet As Photoshop.LayerSet
        Dim ref1 As Photoshop.ActionReference
        Dim actPS
        Set appPS = CreateObject("Photoshop.Application")
        appPS.Visible = True
        Set docPS = appPS.ActiveDocument
        Set LaySet = docPS.LayerSets("Text")
        Set ref1 = CreateObject("Photoshop.ActionReference")
        For Each NewLay In LaySet.ArtLayers
                Select Case NewLay.Name
                Case "Test1"
                    actPS = ref1.PutName("Frame Delay", 0.540769)
                    NewLay.Application.ExecuteAction (actPS)
                Case "Test2"
                    actPS = ref1.PutName("Frame Delay", 1.013942)
                   NewLay.Application.ExecuteAction (actPS)
              End Select
          Next NewLay
        MsgBox "frame set"
    End Sub

    Yeah Ive used the script listener before, but was hoping to avoid it because I didn't understand everything that it spits out. But I think I broke it down and I came up with below. I tweeked my original solution to use a text file.
    Sub Set_Frame_Delay3()
        Dim appPS As Photoshop.Application
        Dim ActDescPS1 As Photoshop.ActionDescriptor, ActDescPS2 As Photoshop.ActionDescriptor, ActDescPS3 As Photoshop.ActionDescriptor
        Dim ActRefPS1 As Photoshop.ActionReference, ActRefPS2 As Photoshop.ActionReference
        Dim dialogMode
        Dim idsetd, idnull, idOrdn, idTrgt, idT, idslct
        Dim idAniFrClass, idAniFrDelay
        Dim sFileName As String
        Application.ScreenUpdating = False
        Set appPS = New Photoshop.Application
        appPS.Visible = True
        dialogMode = 3
        With appPS
            idsetd = .CharIDToTypeID("setd")
            idnull = .CharIDToTypeID("null")
            idOrdn = .CharIDToTypeID("Ordn")
            idTrgt = .CharIDToTypeID("Trgt")
            idT = .CharIDToTypeID("T   ")
            idslct = .CharIDToTypeID("slct")
            idAniFrClass = .StringIDToTypeID("animationFrameClass")
            idAniFrDelay = .StringIDToTypeID("animationFrameDelay")
        End With
        sFileName = Application.GetOpenFilename("Textfiles (*.txt),*.txt", , "Open a textfile...")
        oIndex = 0
        iFileNum = FreeFile()
        Open sFileName For Input As iFileNum
        Do While Not EOF(iFileNum)
            oIndex = oIndex + 1
            Line Input #iFileNum, oDelay
            Set ActDescPS1 = New Photoshop.ActionDescriptor
            Set ActRefPS1 = New Photoshop.ActionReference
            ActRefPS1.PutIndex idAniFrClass, oIndex
            ActDescPS1.PutReference idnull, ActRefPS1
            appPS.ExecuteAction idslct, ActDescPS1, dialogMode
            Set ActDescPS2 = New Photoshop.ActionDescriptor
            Set ActRefPS2 = New Photoshop.ActionReference
            ActRefPS2.PutEnumerated idAniFrClass, idOrdn, idTrgt
            ActDescPS2.PutReference idnull, ActRefPS2
            Set ActDescPS3 = New Photoshop.ActionDescriptor
            ActDescPS3.PutDouble idAniFrDelay, oDelay
            ActDescPS2.PutObject idT, idAniFrClass, ActDescPS3
            appPS.ExecuteAction idsetd, ActDescPS2, dialogMode
            Set ActDescPS1 = Nothing
            Set ActRefPS1 = Nothing
            Set ActDescPS2 = Nothing
            Set ActRefPS2 = Nothing
            Set ActDescPS3 = Nothing
        Loop
        Application.ScreenUpdating = True
        Set appPS = Nothing
        MsgBox "Frames Delays have been set!"
    End Sub
    The text file only needs to list the times in seconds in order of frames. In case someone else wants to copy the code. Such as :
    0.916303
    0.826175
    0.660941
    1.374455

  • Different screensaver for each display?

    I'm pretty sure OS X out of the box doesn't do this, but has anyone found a way to designate a different screensaver for each display, or more specifically, only have the screensaver happen on one display, while the second display goes to sleep?
    Thanks!

    Hi Nari,
    I guess that's not possible. From Web Dynpro side, dropdown is only one UI element. So  different tooltip cannot be assigned.
    However, You can find the which dropdown item is selected and assign the tooltip at runtime accordingly.
    In wdDoModifyView method, you can assign the tooltip text.
    if(!firstTime){
             IWDDropDownByIndex drp = (IWDDropDownByIndex)view.getElement("DropDownByIndex");
             drp.setTooltip(wdContext.currentNODEelement().getATTRIBUTE());

  • CBO generating different plans for the same data in similar Environments

    Hi All
    I have been trying to compare an SQL from 2 different but similar environments build of the same hardware specs .The issue I am facing is environment A, the query executes in less than 2 minutes with plan mostly showing full table scans and hash join whereas in environment B(problematic), it times out after 2 hours with an error of unable to extend table space . The statistics are up to date in both environments for both tables and indexes . System parameters are exactly similar(default oracle for except for multiblock_read_count ).
    Both Environment have same db parameter for db_file_multiblock_read_count(16), optimizer(refer below),hash_area_size (131072),pga_aggregate_target(1G),db_block_size(8192) etc . SREADTIM, MREADTIM, CPUSPEED, MBRC are all null in aux_stats in both environment because workload was never collected i believe.
    Attached is details about the SQL with table stats, SQL and index stats my main concern is CBO generating different plans for the similar data and statistics and same hardware and software specs. Is there any thing else I should consider .I generally see environment B being very slow and always plans tend to nested loops and index scan whereas what we really need is a sensible FTS in many cases. One of the very surprising thing is METER_CONFIG_HEADER below which has just 80 blocks of data is being asked for index scan.

    Hi Paul,
    I misread your question initially .The system stats are outdated in both ( same result as seen from aux_stats) .I am not a DBA and do not have access to gather system stats fresh.

  • Best App. to Make Buttons, etc. w/Different Looks for 'onmouseover' etc.

    Hello,
    I'm making a simple 6 page site using DW for a class. I want
    the navagational buttons to have some flair. I can't code yet, but
    am learning. I have soo many tools I don't know which to use.
    Flash? PS and Image Ready? Ill. ? The site is my entire grade. The
    class is on DW, which I can do, just wanted to have different
    appearances for onmouseover, onmousedown and other.
    Is Flash the best app. for this?
    TIA

    > Is Flash the best app. for this?
    Not in the real world, no. The best app would be a graphics
    editor, whether
    it be Microsoft Paint, Photoshop Elements, Fireworks,
    Photoshop, Xara, etc.
    Make the button graphics in your graphics editor, and place
    them on the page
    in DW.

    I am unable to reinstall Photoshop CS6 (I do have the serial number) on my Macbook Pro 10.9.5 (Mavericks os). and am getting the message "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installation."  I am further told that "Adobe apps cannot be installed on case-sensitive drives, you need to Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive."
    What I don't understand is this:  I originally bought and installed Photoshop CS6 back in March 2013, and it worked fine.  Yesterday my hard drive had to be replaced and my computer person salvaged as much of what was on it as he could, but now I have to reinstall Photoshop.  1) Why did it work before and it's not working now?  2) Is there anything I can do that does not involve reformatting the hard drive?

    It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

    I am trying to install MasterCollection_CS6_LS16. When I double click the install file I get this error message: We've encountered the following issues. Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported. Please choose a different volume for installation. What does that mean? How should I proceed?

    Hey iraravitz,
    Could you please let me know what version of OS are working on.
    You might receive this error when you attempt to install on a drive with the HFS+ Case Sensitive file system, which is not supported for installation of Adobe Creative Suite 6.
    So, please try installing on a drive that has been formatted with a supported file system.
    You might refer the KB doc link mentioned below for the same:

    Let me know if this helps.

  • My recirculating pump in sub vi simulation link doesnt work in the second iteration .It opens for maybe half a second whereas i gave the time delay for 5 secs..plz help very urgent

    Hi,
         I have attached my simulation loop.In the model attached i hav eone main pump with constant rpm which drives the 5 smaller pumps and fills the tank at the same time.As soon as the tanks reach their 90% level,the valves of the five pumps close(SP1,SP2,SP3,Sp4,Sp5).After that the recirculating pumps opens for 5 secs of the first tank.As soon as the recirculation finishes,the drain valve(SV1) for tank 1 open and the volume goes to interim storage.This happens for all the remaining tanks.
    My simulation works the first time,but when the second time the loop starts,it skips the recirculation pump even though i gave a time delay for 5 secs.Plz help ..I have attached the simulation.

    Rami,
    I suspect that you have a race condition. The widespread use of local variables frequently leads to race conditions. Your subVI (Spatial Logic Sub_2.vi was not included) so I cannot run the VI. You have no way of knowing whether the subVI or the inner case structure will execute first, because there is no data dependency between them.
    I think a shift register or a few and some dataflow thinking would allow you to eliminate the inner case structure, the local variables, and, probably, most of your problems.
    Some of the SPi are indicators and some are controls. How are they used?
    The last case of the inner loop retursn to Case 1. Would case 0 be better?
    As for the second time through issue, it may be related to the Elapsed time function Auto Reset. From the help file: "Resets the start time to the value in Present (s) when the Express VI reaches the Time Target (s)." If more than 5 seconds elapses between the first time you use this and the next, it will exit immediately on the subsequent calls.

  • Creating a Material with different values for fields in Transaction MM01

    Hello All,
    While creating a material i will be giving a Profit Center in Sales:general/plant view, which i can see in Costing1 View. If i change this in this View it automatically changes in the other View. Is there any way to give different values in the two views or then what is the significance in showing the same field again in two different views.
    Thanks,
    Shashidhar.

    Hi,
    Its just a way of showing the data in different views for user. It doesn't have any significance.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

    For example, column A is for level 6. column B is for level 7.
    Do you know how to releaze this in Webi side?
    In the 3.X version, we have different dimension for different level.
    But now in BO 4, it has been combined into one\
    Thanks and best regards

    Hi,
    You can still do this in BI 4.0, if you use the old 'legacy'  MDX OLAP.unv from Universe Designer tool .
    Yes, with the BICS connection,  you are getting a native hierarchy, as it would be displayed in an OLAP environment.
    Cheers,

  • How to maintain different prices for same item in different organizations

    hi all,
    We have noticed that the list price of an item at Item Validation Org level is getting defaulted when creating requisitions. We want to maintain different prices for the item for different organizations, so that the prices will be properly defaulted to requsitions depending on supplier and receiving org.
    We found one way of doing this. Using contract purchase agreement and Advanced Pricing price lists. Can anyone please let us know if there is any other way of achieving this??
    Also, I have a question regarding Advanced pricing Price Lists. I performed following steps.
    1.Set the QP: Licensed for Product profile to Purchasing
    2.Create and approve a contract purchase agreement in Oracle Purchasing
    3.Define Price Lists and Price List Lines (optional)
    4.Define sourcing rules and ASLs to automatically default source information onto requisition lines. Associate Contract to ASL.
    5. This will enable Oracle Advanced Pricing integration in the following Oracle Purchasing functionality:
    Requisition pricing
    Purchase order pricing
    But when I create requisitions, the price from price list is not getting defaulted automatically. In requisitions form, if I go to source tab and select source as a Contract Purchase Agreement, then the price from price lists is getting defaulted. Is there any way where the source for the requisition can be automatically defaulted to Contract and the price can be picked from price lists??

    Can oyu not make it an organization level item and specify the proce there instead of keeping it a master level item?
    Regards,
    Utsav.

    You can sync as many devices as you want to the same iTunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, including separate backups. I'd suggest giving each device a unique name, to make things easier.
