Different DESCRIPTIONs in MTL_CATEGORIES_B and MTL_CATEGORIES_TL

We recently found a bunch of item categories having different descriptions in MTL_CATEGORIES_B and MTL_CATEGORIES_TL tables in our application, once the user changed the description for a particular category in Categories form, DESCRIPTION field with WHO columns in MTL_CATEGORIES_TL got updated immediately, but somehow only those WHO columns got updated in MTL_CATEGORIES_B, DESCRIPTION field in this table did not change.
As we are using MTL_CATEGORIES_B in our custom program, this discrepancy is causing some problems in our legacy system. Does anybody know why it is not being synchronized with MTL_CATEGORIES_TL? Is there any setup stopping the synchronization? And, is there any program to get it updated?
Any idea would be highly appreciated!

Please log a SR as you might need a data fix or a patch to fix the issue -- The product/module group will be the best to explain this behavior.

In Our Report we are using Char Field 1 with Description XXX at info object level.
But same field has different description in Query Designer as YYY.

which description will display in after execution of report whether it is XXX or YYY and why?

In your example, the description YYY will be displayed in the report.
SAP provided a flexible feature that each time you want to use to display a different description for same infoobject in various reports, you don't need to go back to the backend (rsa1) and change the description of that particular info object. instead change it at the query level in the query designer.
However, the description of the infoobject that you changed in a particular query would pertain to only those reports based on that query. the original desc will remain untouched at the backend
You can change as many as differnt desc. in various reports without actually changing the original desc.

Different descriptions in different languages

Hello,
Can somebody tell me whether is is possible to have a different description when a user uses a different langauage and if so, how to set this up?
What I mean is: We will be using PeopleSoft in 4 languages (English, dutch, french, german) and we want to have our values to have a description addapted to the language.
For example a user signing in as dutch should have the account descriptions in dutch, a user signing in in french should have his descriptions in french etc.

If this is a delivered record where you have description stored, then it should have a related language record attached (look into record properties in application designer).
when creating these accounts, you should login into peoplesoft in different languages and change the description according to the language for the same account. This will populate the related language record (you can also do this by SQLs).
If this is a custom record, then you will need to attach a related language record to this and then populate it with right values following the same approach as above.
Once the related language record is populated with the right values, you should be able to see translated values when logged in with a language other than the base language(which in a normal installation is always kept as english)

Ah thanks Razmee however there is NO option to delete the iCloud account in settings!

Quantity is different from sale order and delivery.
I identified the Material in the sales order, the item category for this material as BOM.
I have also checked the bill of material display header overview. The Base Quantity maintained as 1000 EA3. The SUBITEM maintained in G in the unit field in bill of material display.
Accordingly i have checked the same for material master's additionl data in Units of Measure tab, it is mentioned the basic unit as 1000 EA3 and alternative unit as 600 G.
My client processed the order for 100 QTY. The QTY for the two sub item is 99.601 each in the sale order.
My client Question is why in delivery the Material Qty is coming as 99.730 and the SUB ITEM is coming as 99.330 EACH.
Note:- The material X is maintained in EA3 in Bill of material header overview. I do no how the sale unit came as G for the Material in sale order.
The other two sub item is perfectly coming as G. Because it is maintained in G in the Bill of Material Display.
Guide me GURUS.

I guess you entered the text manually in the sales order. The Ship-to may not be having any text, but the Sold-to may be and it may be coming from sold to.
In transaction VOTXN, check the access sequence for the text type id and see which one takes precedence - one from customer master or from the order by checking the order of accesses.

What you need to do is both use the same Apple ID for iTunes content, but separate Apple ID's for everything else. So, you keep your existing Apple ID. If not a verifiable email address, you will need to create a new Apple ID for yourself. You also create an Apple ID for your wife, again a verifiable email address. You use the existing Apple ID for all iTunes content. The new Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc. Here's how to create an Apple ID:

I've set up my daughters ipod touch last year all fine. She's had a mini this yr but when setting up facetime and entering her email address, which is used on the touch, I get an error message saying the address is already being used.
I thought you can use the same email address on multiple devices.

I have four different email addresses setup on my Mac, iPod Touch and my two iPads that I can select from and use as the email address with no problems at all.
Turn off FaceTime, and sign out of the Apple ID in the FaceTime settings, restart the iPad and try again. Turn FaceTime on again, sign in with the Apple ID and then try the email address again.

You would need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap her ID, sign out, then sign back in with your ID. However, if she has turned on automatic downloads, download previous purchases or signed into an iTunes Match account using her current ID, she would have to wait 90 days from when she first did this to change to another ID. She can, of course, sync your music to her device using iTunes without changing her ID association.

Are you currently in Japan or Hong Kong ? You have to be in a country (and have a billing address in that country on your account) to buy or download from its store, that is included in the store's terms.
You can sync content from different accounts from your computer's iTunes library.

Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.
