Different DNG Format for save

Hello
If I want to save a raw file in Photoshop Camera Raw 4.5 I can choose between:
- Compressed (lossless) (JEPG preview full or medium size)
- Convert o Linear Image
- Embeded Original Raw File
Or I can check all the 3 possibilities.
Would someone please explain me the difference, and what is suggested to do, if I want best quality. And what are the consequences between the different possibilities?
Thank you very much for your help.
Sarosa

Well, the compressed lossless I believe only deals with the embedded preview
image (what programs that can't processor raw files fully shows.)
Convert to Linear is in my book a bad thing. It converts the RAW data to
bitmap data. That is lossless and is basically like coverting your raw image
to JPEG or TIF. I see no advantage to doing this for any reason.
Embed the original raw file converts your image to DNG (still raw data) and
then embeds the original file in as well. For example if you convert a CR2
raw file to DNG and choose embed original raw file you will have a DNG file
that also contains the original CR2 file. This will cause the size of the
DNG file to be very large as it is basically two raw files in one. I also
don't see a lot of use or point to this.

  • CalendarUI element showing different date format for different locations

    Hi,
I have an input field with date calendar in my webdynpro Java form . User can select date from this calendar and fill the input field. For this I have used input field  in my layout and have binded this with one context attribute of type date. Say name of this field is requiredByDate
Now when I build and deploy my code, I can see the the required By date field and user is able to select date values from the calendar button next to the input field. The format of the date selected is mm/dd/yyyy.
However , when a user tests this application from other location say Malaysia, for him the format is coming as dd/mm/yyyy after selecting the date from the calendar.
Just want to know ,is there is difference in date format for differnt locations ? For India, when you select the date its showing mm/dd/yyyy and for Malayisa its showing dd/mm/yyyy.
Is there anything we can do by changing our system settings like timezone or dateformat in system settings.
I am using standard UI element and binding it with context element of type date.
Need your advice or help on this..
    Thanks and regards,

  • Use two different paragraph formats for one element

    Hi,
I think this is really simple, but I don't get it.
I have an element with the name "Step" and I have two paragraph formats for this element. Both for numbering.  I use one of these formats to set the numbering back to one, so I can  start with number 1 anywhere I want, so I think there is noch real  context rule for this case. How do I declare this in my EDD? Is it possible to say my EDD that it is possible to use both.
    Thanks.

    Dokuteam,
In most cases I have seen context rules using the sibling indicator { first } to handle the start of numbering.
If you want to be able to control restarting of the numbering anywhere, you can add an attribute to the element, like restart = yes | no with "no" being the default value. Then  your context rule would use an attribute indicator similar to
    If [restart = "yes"]
      use PgfFmt1
    Else
      use PgfFmt2

  • IPhoto and the .DNG format for RAW images...

Does anyone have any experience using the .DNG RAW format with iPhoto?
I'm considering converting my .CRW RAW images to .DNG (long story) and I'm wondering if I risk anything in doing so (especially when using iPhoto as it's my main photo management program).
    Any advice would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Kristin.

Actually... I just noticed that Finder (in 10.4.11) had started to show previews of Panasonic FZ30-derived .DNG files. This camera is unsupported in Aperture and iPhoto. I'm not sure when this started, as I had already begun the process of picking a new camera, or moving to Lightroom.
Thinking, "That's funny, I wonder if..." and sure enough, iPhoto accepted a .DNG from the FZ30. Woot!
This is great! Now I can convert 16 MB RAW files to 8 MB dng's with Adobe DNG converter and stick with iPhoto for organisation. Just have to make sure DNG Converter doesn't convert the RAW to linear image.
I knew Apple wouldn't let me down. (Leave me twisting in the wind for awhile maybe)

  • Different letter format in IT906

  • Multiple display formats for several records coming from the same table

    Hello all,
I want to create one Crystal Reports XI report to display several records coming from one table, but I need different display format for different records from that one table.
There is a field RecordType and based on that value, the record will be displayed differently on the report page.
Can I have several sections in the report and to define different SQL query in each of them?
Example of the report I need to see on paper:
    ================================================
Summary of 216 vehicles:  (the value 216 comes from record with RecordType=1)
    Vehicle Category    Number of Vehicles
A                   5          (this value 5 comes from record with RecordType=2)
B                   7          (this value 7 comes from record with RecordType=3)
D                   4          (this value 4 comes from record with RecordType=4)
    Category A vehicle numbers:
    2345   6789   8765   5543   3452    (these five values come from records with RecordType=5)
    Category B vehicle numbers:
    9876   8876   9987   4321   6754   5215   4543    (these values come from records with RecordType=6)
    Category D vehicle numbers:
    2343   2344    2348   2377    (these values come from records with RecordType=8)
    ==============================================================
Text is fixed (labels), number values are coming from table records.
What would be a good way to do this in Crystal Reports XI ? In Cognos ReportNet, I would just create several Queries (SQL sentences) and place their outputs on a page, one after the other.
I use Crystal Reports XI R2 and Oracle 10g database through and ODBC connection.
    Thank you,
    Milan

    Obaid and Debi,
    Thank you for your replies.
I can create multiple sections in the report, but I don't know how to split the 20 records that I get back from the database to be displayed in 5 different report sections.
How can I define different SQL statement for each of 5 report sections?
How can I use cross-tabs to display what I need? Can I define SQL statement for each cross-tab and then I could place only RecordType=1 records into cross-tab-1 and all RecordType=2 records into cross-tab-2 ?
In Cognos ReportNet, I defined 2 Queries (SQL statements) and I just placed them in the report one below the other. Query_1 returns 1 record where RecordType value =1. Query_2 returns 5 records where RecordType value =2 and etc. So each record "section" displays record in the way I want it.
    ================================
Summary of 216 vehicles:  (the value 216 comes from record where RecordType=1)
    Category A vehicle numbers:
    2345   6789   8765   5543   3452    (these values come from records where RecordType=2)
    ================================
How can I do that in Crystal Reports XI ?
How can I run several SQL statements from one report?
    Thank you,
    Milan

  • Best or better file formats for editing in PPRO CS4

I'm currently working with MPEG (from tape transfer) and M2T ( recorded with Adobe Onlocation) files in CS4.
I switch between Mac and PC depending on whcih system is available. (both: 8 gigs ram , dual quads 3GHZ, graphics ATI 4850 &/or quadra FX)
Regardless of the OS or system configuration I'm still experianceing choppy video in the Program monitor during editing.
So I guess I'm wondering if I should be useing a differant file formats for editing.
end use is HD web video that is served via Delve networks (720P).
Detailed, positive ideas and commentary appreciated.
    thanks JamesNYC

If you're capturing via OnLo and it's coming up as .m2t then OnLo sees the device as an HDV device.  This is a temporal codec and as such, decoding can be difficult if your system isn't up to the task.  Since your CPU and memory are up to the task, I would ask about your drive subsystem and exactly which OS you are using?  If you're using a 32bit flavor of Windows, you're not able to use the extra memory and I would suggest you upgrade to Win7 64.
    hope this helps,
    Dennis

  • Re: Different format for email PO

We are currently sending PO as PDF to vendors.
Some vendors are requesting that we send the data in text format to them.
we are sending PO thru INT (communication type).
However, it is linked to PDF format for internet under "Supported Address type".
Do i use back the same node to send and yet under different format?
OR do i need to configure another node under SCOT?

    Hi colin,
You have to config in 'scot'
    Basic settins required to config
    1. You must maintain an e-mail address in the address in the vendor master.
    2. The same applies to your own user master. You also have to specify an e-mail address there in order to identify the sender.
    • Note that it is not possible to change the e-mail address of the vendor via the SAP purchase order transaction (ME21N, ME22N, and so on).
    • The system only uses the e-mail address of the vendor that is maintained in the vendor master!
    3. For the output type for default values, a communication strategy needs to be maintained in the Customizing that supports the e-mail. You can find the definition of the communication strategy in the Customizing via the following path: (SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Web Application Server -> Basic Services -> Message Control -> Define Communication Strategy). As a default, communication strategy CS01 is delivered. This already contains the necessary entry for the external communication. Bear in mind that without a suitable communication strategy it is not possible to communicate with a partner via Medium 5 (external sending).
    4. Use the standard SAP environment (program 'SAPFM06P', FORM routine 'ENTRY_NEU' and form 'MEDRUCK') as the processing routines.
    5. In the condition records for the output type NEU (for example, Transaction MN04), use medium '5' (External send). Then in Transaction M/34 for the output type NEU add the medium '5' (External send) in Partner functions & Processing routines.
6.Then Create a PO…Go to Messages>select the output type & medium '5' (External send). Then communication method > Comm Strategy “CS01”. Remoce Print immediately if it is ticked.
    7. Then go back ,Select message>Further data>Dispatch time>Select 'Send immediately (when saving application)'
    Back and save PO.
    8. Check SCOT. PO will be in the waiting list. If u want to see the detailed list of waiting items then go to transaction SOST. Specify the Send date, select the check box Waiting & execute.
In t.code SCOT you can set the format conversions by using menu path SETTINGS --> CONVERSIONS and specifying that your sapscript out put (I think SCR) should convert to PDF and then put in the appropriate Function module (try SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_SCR_PDF).
You also have to allow PDF in the EXCHG node setup
If you want further details Please check the SAP note 191470.
    regards,
    Hareesha

  • Different formats for each line in enums & rings?

I don't know if this one is possible but I can't figure it out.
Can you make an enum or ring control have a different format for each selection?
    E.G.:
    Selection 1 [default]
    Selection 2 [test mode]
    Selection 3 [optional]
    Selection 4 [optional]
I've tried the formatting options and property nodes, no luck.  Maybe there are possibilities with control customizing I'm not thinking of???
    Thanks & Regards,

    Using LabVIEW: 7.1.1, 8.5.1 & 2013

    Hi K.
I don't think it's possible to have those text properties vary in a text-ring, but you might be able to accomplish your goal using a pict-ring - using images of formatted text.  In the example (attached) Paint was used to create the pictures then import them into the pict-ring.  Here Unclebump shows how to use "Draw Text at Point.vi" to create formatted text in a picture control, though, I have no idea how to copy such pictures out of the pictures control!
    Cheers!

  • Same logo printing different colors for different file formats?

I created a logo for a client who will be using it for some printed materials.  I provided the logo in 3 different file formats: EPS, JPEG and Tiff.
In INDesign and MS Word, the logo is printing a different color for the EPS vs the Jpeg/Tiff file types.  Is there something I'm missing?
I've even tried changing the color to something completely different and we are getting the same result.  There is STiLL a considerable difference between the Eps file and the other two files.

No the logo was created for print and I originally had used a pantone color but converted to CMYK.  The actual value is C69 M7 Y0 K0.  When my client inserts the eps file into her InDesign layout, it prints a bright aqua color and if she uses either the jpeg or tiff, it is a much different blue.  We've tried other colors because I was thinking it might just be the fact that it's a blue color... but the same thing happens to other colors. I am wondering if there is some sort of color management setting that is causing the eps to be different?

  • PRCS SQR gives different format for (1) directly to printer (2) Web PDF

I am running an SQR via process scheduler producing a report.
The format and size are FINE when i run it directly to the printer. Command is below:
    %TOOLBINSRV%\PSSQR.EXE -CT ORACLE -CS %SERVER% -CD PS89C -CA %ACCESSID% -CAP %ACCESSPSWD% -RP NFCNT002 -I 161118 -R REFRESH -CO PSKT -OT 2 -OP \\nfbprint\SDT-INF-3 -OF 4 -LG ENG
However, when I run and have it sent on the WEB with format PDF, the format is different
The format is the same as above but about 40% smaller size.
Different for when i open and see, and for when I print
Anyone knows if there is an extra setup of step that i could add either on when running SQR on prcs, or on opening the file with Adobe acrobat ?
    Thanks

Which one looks better, the web or printed?
Seems like we had a similar problem a while back and the issue was with some scaling settings/preferences in the Acrobat Reader.

  • How can I set the default save format for photoshop edited photos?

I just spotted that some of my photos that I've edited in Photoshop from Lightroom are a whopping 450MB. Looking deeper I found that they are saved as uncompressed TIFF files, this despite the default save format for Photoshop in Lightroom's preferences being set to ZIP compressed TIFF files. So why doesn't this setting work and how can I make Photoshop save things compressed?

Sounds funny but first tell us what version of PS you have, what version of Lr and which OS. Thanks.

  • Save Formats for DVDs for use on Computer

I'm using a pre-loaded DVD template to create a DVD with a Title menu, scene menu, etc.  Is there any option for me to save this format for use on my computer only?
Instead of burning this to a DVD, I'd like to save the final product as a file with the same function as the DVD (usable menu, skip to set scene markers, etc).  Does that make sense?
The idea is to not have to burn 10+ DVDs, but save these files to a flash drive and access them through a computer or TV.
    I'm using Premiere Elements 12.
    Thank you!

    Salvatij
Premiere Elements 12/12.1 on what computer operating system?
Assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for the moment and DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc....
    1. You could consider Publish+Share/webDVD which is really a flash file that comes with disc menu of your choice.
The saved folder from the process can be played back on the computer using Foxfire and Internet Explorer. I do not see you playing that back on TV.
    2. In Premiere Elements, if you export Timeline content to file saved to the computer hard drive, menus are not included.
Please review the above. I am think about this some more.
    Thanks.

Another option is, if you want to FORCE global stylesheet for ALL users.  You can update the WebIDefaultStyleSheet.css located in  \SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\images\ folder.
