Different dropDownByKey in table row
Hi,
I have a table and in each row i need to have combo with different values (depends in the other values of row).
I created below my output table another value node (cardinality 1..n, selection 1..1, singleton false with suplly function) and in the supply func i'm creating value set with my desired values to every value attribute in it.
I see that every DropDownByKey has all the values of all the rows. I could not create every valueSet alone. Somehow all the values mix up.
Can Anyone Help?

You need DropDownBy<b>Index</b> (DDI) instead of DropDownBy<b>Key</b> (DDK).
Strange thing -- you did everything necessary for DDI, but place DDK instead
Just replace cell editor with DDI and bind its "texts" properties to some attribute of sub-node 1..n.

Scripting for different numbers of table rows in cs3
As always thank you for the help.
My question: is there a simple newbie way to script for stroke placements when the numbers of rows in the category between the stroke will vary. I have not even attempted to script this style, as frankly I don't know where to start, but here is an explanation of what I need:
The table foodstuff contains:
animal, vegetable, fruit
Under animal there is:
beef, lamb, pork, poultry
Under vegetable there is:
potato, pepper, onion
Under fruit there is:
orange
If wanted a line under each category, ie after poultry, after onion, and after orange how would I go about it.

Drop Down List in a table - different options for each row
How can i have a drop down list in a table with different options for each row?
My requirement is this.. I want to display, say employee dtails in a table, and one column is employee hobbies, whcih can have multiple values and each employee may have a different list of hobbies. So how can we populate the drop down for each row, with different options?Hey. Uh, this probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but it sounds like you've got a problem with your database design there. Generally speaking, your tables shouldn't have multi-valued fields, in the relational model anyway (sql). Instead, you should look at adding a separate table like EMPLOYEE_HOBBIES. Then you have a foreign key using the employees primary key as the foreign key in the employee_hobbies table, see what I mean? I might have misunderstood your explanation though, I'm not sure.
Alternatively, you could just have hobbies as a big freeform varchar field, and don't bother to make people separate their hobbies into different fields (you'd have to abandon the drop-down listbox idea in this case). If there's no really important reason to make the distinction, then it's probably easier just to not do it. -
Based on some conditions table rows should be of different color

I want to ensure that row no 1 should be of color 1 (say green color), row no 2 should be of color 2 (say red color) and row no 3 should be of coor 3 (say black color).

Table.rows.find() returns null in a table where the row exists.

I am working in a Project in Visual Studio 2013 where I have to read an Excel report related with a list of business opportunities. Some of the Fields that are involved in it are: Opportunity ID, BU, Account, close date, Account Manager,
Total Value and so on. As soon as I get the conection with the Excel Report, I fill a DataTable and declare the columns [Opportunity ID] and [BU] as my Primary Keys. In that way, an Opportunity value may have one o more rows
with different BU code each of them. In consequence, you can define one row in the table if you specify the [Opportunity ID] and the [BU] values.
My problem starts when I try to get information of those rows that have an specific value of [Opportunity ID]. For that situation I make a "foreach" structure where I check the BU codes that are involved with that Opportunity. So
I use the Find() Method to get the information of the row specified by the Opportunity ID and BU. The first time it goes to find the information it gets the results successfully but in the next cycle changing just the [BU] using the same [Opportunity
ID] value, the find() method returns a "null" and I do not know why because I am sure that the row exists in the table. I have verified the "Unique" property for the [Opportunity ID] and [BU] columns (which are
my primary keys) and they are in false which is OK.

The design property in Table properties should work for your requirement. Select "alternating" value for design.
Please see the API below:

Determines the appearance of the table. The property design can take the following values and is represented by enumeration type WDTableDesign.
alternating - The table rows are displayed alternately in a different color.
standard - The table background has one color. The individual table rows are displayed with grid net lines.
transparent - The table background is transparent. The individual table rows are displayed without grid net lines.
Check whether you have changed the right property or not? Also table should contain more than one rows to test this scenario.

Is it possible to validate a table row as a single entity?

I have a requirement to validate a row in a table as a single entity. A database procedure will be passed the values from a given row and several validations performed. There are some field-level validations in the row as well. I had planned to expose an AM method that calls the procedure and then highlights the bad fields.
How can I fire this row validation when the user has completed their edits (clicked off of the current row)? Is there some event I can listen for?
I guess I can have a selectionListener that saves the current row key and when the current row key is different from the saved row key call the validation procedure for the saved row?

Thinking more about this more, would it be best to call the validation method from prepareForDML? Or would overriding the validate method and calling from there be a better option?

How to use script to get the first table row on each page?
I create a print form to display a table. I set a conditional page break on this table, so the table rows on each page could be different.
For example, there're total 50 rows in this table. On the 1st page, there're 5 rows, but on the 2nd page, there're only 2 rows, and so on...
Now I want to get some value from the 1st table row on each page. How can do that? I can refer to a table row using TableRow[n], but I don't know how to calculate 'n' in script (either FormCalc or JavaScript) for the 1st row on each page.

There is an option of setting the overflow header in the pallette. You may check that out. It is basically used to have the table header to be seen in all pages, if the table is overflowing to multiple pages. You may put your first row as the overflow header.

Add selected table row value to PageFlowScope so I can access in taskflow
Hi all,
Running into a problem getting a value from a selected ADF table row to a taskflow that is displayed as an inline popup. Here's the scenario. I have a view which displays a table. When I click on an edit btn I display my taskflow as an inline popup. What I would like to do is take the currently selected table row, pull off lets say the row name value and pass it to my taskflow for display. I've tried settting this value inside a mbean when I click the edit btn using:

-WraithThanks for the links Timo. I still must be missing something here. In the vids you linked it looked like he was using regions to pass params from main page to a taskflow; setting a param on child taskflow (causes param to be required when dragging into main page). So I think I understand I add an expected param to my taskflow which somehow will be set by my main page. The part I'm missing is from my main page how can I get the selected table row value and set it in the expected pageflowscope param that my taskflow is expecting?
I've tried several things:
1) Using managed bean associated with my main page; setting param inside the bean on main page btn click and then try accessing this mbean param (couldn't access this value as different pageflowscope I believe)
2) Programmatically setting PageFlowScope as I linked in previous post.
3) using setPropertyListener I can set a static value setting value in pageflowscope.start and then inside adfc.config for the task set start value to another value expected by the taskflow page. This seemed to work but I can't figure out how to do the programmatic version of this using the currently selected row and its value.
One who seems to be missing something,

So, as you can see from the LOAD WHEN clause, I'd like to reject rows when C1, C2 and C3 are empty.
The above statement works fine and creates the table. However when I am trying to load data using it, the following error is produced:

DenisAnother method would be to simply remove the "LOAD WHEN condition" and create a view on the external table which filters the data.

I have developed a WD4A application comprising 3 views. 2 views provide overview screens to 2 different groups of users where they can select the learning forms based on various selection criteria. The third view is to actually show the details of the selected form.
I have designed one function module to be used by both the overview screens. The function mosule takes the filters via an input structure and returns a table as output. Each view has a table control which is bound to the output table and will show different combinations of columns which are defined at design time itself. So I have 2 table controls in 2 views which are bound to the same context node. The issue is that in one of the views, I am able to select table rows via lead selection, but in the other view the lead selection is not possible. can anyone help?
