Different formats for documents in the cloud do not work

Hello,
I have a question:
I use documents in the icloud on my mac and my ios devices. Sometimes I also need to download these documents onto PC from the web browser. When I try to do it, it allows to donload only .pages format, with other (doc and pdf) formats greyed out. That is very annoying, what can I do to have my documents in all the possible formats?

I don't see it mentioned above, but when you remove the apps from your devices, have you been to system preferences > iCloud and checked that all your pages and numbers documents have been deleted from your storage, deleting them if necessary.
Also when you add things back, avoid adding documents with the same names as those you have been having problems with.

Hey.  I'm thinking the problem is in theis block:
    LOOP AT C_T_DATA INTO WA_MC17I30HDR.
       READ TABLE LT_AFIH
         WITH KEY AUFNR = WA_MC17I30HDR-AUFNR
         INTO WA_AFIH BINARY SEARCH.
       IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
         WA_MC17I30HDR-ZZNPLDA = WA_MHIS-NPLDA.
         MODIFY C_T_DATA FROM WA_MC17I30HDR.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
You are reading LT_AFIH into WA_AFIH.  But then you are assigning NPLDS from WA_MHIS. From what I can see, WA_MHIS hasn't been filled with anything.  Try changing:
         WA_MC17I30HDR-ZZNPLDA = WA_MHIS-NPLDA.
    To:
         WA_MC17I30HDR-ZZNPLDA = WA_AFIH-NPLDA.
    Hope that does the trick.
    Thanks

  • PAPER FEEDER FOR DOCUMENTS TO BE COPIED IS NOT WORKING

MY FEEDER IS NOT ONLY NOT WORKING, BUT, WHEN  I PUT DOCEMENTS IN TO BE PRINTED, THE COPIER "does not even try" to pull them through the copier feed at the top, just tries to copy from the scanner glass.  Any suggestions?

Sounds like your paper sensor is not working. To really help you out I will need to know what printer model you have otherwise I will have no frame of reference to use.
As a preliminary step, please unplug the printer BOTH from the back of the unit and the wall outlet that printer is connected to for thirty seconds. Then plug it back in, and make sure that you are plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector, power strip or battery backup.
Let me know and I will get back to you ASAP! Have a great day!

  • My startup disk is full.  I am not able to open "Macintosh HD" to delete files.  For whatever reason the trashcan is not working.  Is there another way to delete files?

Also, when Im on the the desktop the pinwheel of death is always going.  ***.

When you restarted the computer, did you boot it into SafeBoot and while there, repair disk permissions with Disk Utility... Then restart?
Sometimes every little bit helps, before scheduling an appointment with a Genius at an Apple Store, if there is one in a location not too far away.
Hopefully you can shake the gremlins out.

  • What's the point of documents in the cloud?

    Problem:
I have many private and business projects organized in folders on my mac. Each folder contains a variety of files types, for example screenshots, pages, numbers, links, jpegs. Since i cannot afford to give them lengthy names to quicksearch them with spotlight and see every project related file, i simply put them in the project folder. I waited for "documents in the cloud" for more than a year now. And in its latest version its still not usable for me.
Except for single file projects there is no point of using it. My projects would be scattered in 5 places: (In the cloud) - Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Preview and the Mac (for Photoshop or similar not cloud supported file types.)
Maybe i totally missed the concept behind it and am doing it wrong.
I could put any gif, link, spreadsheet and text in a numbers document to unite some of the files in one place.
But then again what about Pdfs or how would i reuse pictures put in there?
I know that one point of the cloud is to get rid of the files system but i don't see how.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

There may well be circumstances where documents in the cloud doesn't work for some people.
I myself have projects like you do, however our circumstances may be different or I may simply organise myself in a different way.
I tend to use documents in the cloud for working documents in progress, once they are completed they are then filed away in a more appropriate location. I do not try to use documents in the cloud for syncing my entire work history.

  • Mountain lion not loading documents in the cloud

Issues with documents in the cloud not loading in mountain lion??

    Daniel,
The only thing I have seen is that loading times vary when I add stuff. It seems that it does not refresh my list as fast or is a little lagging from time to time. I have seen this with documents in the cloud and notes, some times takes a few minutes to "update"
Could be the amount of users in iCloud now just slowing the servers and im sure they will get it sorted out.

iCloud does not provide general file storage or backup, so you cannot back up your Documents folder using it. You will need to find a third-party alternative - this page examines some options (some are free):

iCloud at basic level, with 5GB is storage, is free: you only pay anything if you want to increase the storage space.

  • Documents in the Cloud a one-way street?

I was really looking forward to the Documents in the Cloud feature so that my Numbers spreadsheets would stay in sync between my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. However, currently any documents I save to iCloud from my Mac never become visible to Numbers running on my iOS devices. However, if I create a new document on iOS, the Mac version eventually sees it and also changes made on the Mac are synced to the iOS versions, albeit with quite a delay. The Mac is running Mountain Lion and all apps are patched to their latest versions. However, my iWork on the Mac is a boxed copy as I bought it before the MAS versions came out.
Does anyone have ideas on how to make this work properly? In the current form it's not quite what the feature description promised.

    Actually, I found this:
Documents in the Cloud. And on your Mac or PC.
iCloud makes it easy to move Pages, Keynote, and Numbers documents between your computer and your iOS devices. Just sign in to icloud.com/iwork in any modern web browser, and all your iWork for iOS documents will be there — complete with your most recent edits. Click a document to download it in iWork ’09, Microsoft Office, or PDF format. You can also drag and drop any iWork ’09 or Microsoft Office document from your computer into one of the iWork apps on icloud.com, and it automatically appears on all your iOS devices, ready for you to review, edit, or present.
BUT - it states that the document will be downloaded. I am assuming then, that the document will need to be reuploaded after editing.
    Can anyone confirm?

  • Documents in the Cloud with a PC?

I am thinking of using Pages & Numbers to manage some documents on my devices --> iPhone 4 & iPad2, MBP, but I sometimes want to edit these on my work laptop as well...which is a PC.
If I use documents in the cloud, will I be able to open anything on my PC with the appropriate Office apps?
I currently use Dropbox, which works great, but is limited in my ability to edit anything on my iPad...unless I pay for DropDAV...which I would prefer not to do.
If I instead move my documents to iCloud, I know this will sync things across my apple products, but what about modifying things on my PC??
    Has anyone tried this?

  • "Documents in the Cloud" vs iCloud---lost docs

I put in a new SSD and upgraded my MBP to Yosemite. All good---except some docs I had written using Text Editor are now somehow just gone. Evidently these were saved to Documents in the Cloud, which is now just gone...??
What has Apple done with my docs that were saved in Mountain Lion to (what it called anyway) the Cloud?
In Snow Leopard, my last OS, my Text Edit offered an option to save and open docs either to/from On This Mac, or onto Cloud. Some I had saved to Cloud, they are now in some unknown domain of cyberspace, or annihilated.
Apple says iCloud Drive now doesn't offer saving of text docs written in Text Edit. The Text Edit app used to offer saving/opening docs from what it called "Cloud"---evidently that was Apple's Documents in the Cloud, which is now deprecated---?
Apple told me that "the docs might be saved in Pages format" on iCloud Drive, but I thought I would inquire here if anyone had any experience with this, it looks like once you upgrade to iCloud Drive there's no going back, so I'm afraid to upgrade and then find the docs still aren't there and have been annihilated.
How to find my previous Documents in the Cloud folder, now that I'm on Yosemite with a new hard drive?  I tried searching the old hard drive for .txt docs, it doesn't seem to see them. I have not searched Time Machine, but if I can't find the .txt files on the old hard drive, how would I find them in Time Machine?
I was a fool not to save the Documents in the Cloud docs separately---hoping someone can help me figure out if they still exist.

Documents stored in iWork (e.g. Pages docs) on icloud also have a copy stored locally.  When you restored from a TM backup, you got back the old iwork files.  Whether viewing the older files has put those copies in icloud, in place of the new ones, I'm not sure.  But if you log into icloud.com and go to the iwork page, you'll find those files there.  You can then download them to the mac.  Whether they will be the recent, new versions or the old versions, I don't know.

  • Can't see Numbers 2.3 documents on the cloud after upgrading to Yosemite

    Hello all,
Just upgraded to Yosemite on a machine I was using Numbers 2.3 (yes, the new 3.X design is not working for me) with documents on the cloud. Now when I open a doc, the only "cloud" option is iCloud Drive.
Is the 2.3-on the cloud functionality now broken? Do I have to upgrade to iCloud Drive (and, subsequently, to the latest Numbers)?
    Help!
    Thanks

Yes I did that, as I stated above - by hitting F3 and looking at the different desktop spaces.  I'm wondering if it is just hidden below some border of the screen ?  How would I determine that?
