Different groups for different syncing rights possible?

Hi,
is it possible to configure datasync for one group syncing all mail and appointments and for an other group only syncing appointments?
Do I have to setup two datasync servers, or could this be solved by an additional connector?

When i used Data Sync 2 years ago, i created two edirectory groups:
1 for users only to sync Appointments and 1 group for users to syncing all things
this worked fine for us, but now with the new GW Mobility 2.0 this works not anymore. I have no option to configure rights with groups.
Would Novell bring back this option or is there a way to define default-sync settings for all users newly added to the system ?

Sorry, there isn't. You need the Apple ID and password for the App Store account used to purchase the app to update it. There's now way to have a secondary Apple ID attached. You don't need the Apple ID for updates to OS X, but for apps there's no way around needing purchasing Apple ID.
Your company may want to look into the Volume Purchase Program:

that allows purchase and distribution of apps without needing a credit card tied to the individual accounts.

Different schema group for one vendor

Dear all,
We come across scenario,Where a vendor import material for us and at same time
he also acts as a dealer.Here it requires two schema groups for a vendor.
One possible solution is two different vendor codes for same vendor.

Hi
You can achieve this requirement by using vendor subrange. You can have morethen one subranges for same vendor. It will allow you to have more than one set of purchasing data in vendor master which includes schema group and terms of payment....etc.. You need to create vendor subranges from purchasing view in extra and in additional purchasing view.

Is there a way to create different groups for my contacts using the installed contact app

I am trying to make a group on my contacts. So that it's easier to just make messages to people and not having to make group messages every single time. For example, making a group for a sports team so that I can just message everyone in the group at once.

No not possible but you can create contact groups at www.icloud.com and if you have contact synced thru cloud the groups you make at www.icloud.com will appear on your phone

Design: different AP Groups for different SSIDs?!

Imagine I have different requirements for the AP Groups for different SSIDs
I suppose I can't have different AP Groups for different SSIDs?!
Imagine I have to many Clients to use one single VLAN for one SSID. So I will use AP Groups.
For SSIDâXâ
Let's say I have 5 buildings with 800 Users, so I make a AP Group per Building and tell those APs that they are in that group.
For SSIDâYâ
All though I have this SSID also in all 5 buildings, I only have very view Users, so I could make one single VLAN which makes everything easier.
Am I obligated now to create 5 VLANs for SSIDâYâ too?!
*This is a made up example. In reality I would make different numbers of AP Groups for different SSIDs because I have significantly different number of Clientsâ¦ and traffic characteristics (more or less broadcast).
But it's also about the size of the VLANs, do I make a view large Broadcast Domains (VLANs) or more small ones.

Photoshop CS6 Different Groups for Fonts?

So I was wondering if there is a way to have a different group for a set of fonts.

In addition to the one TD mentioned, several other font managers allow you to activate and de-activate fonts through a Photoshop plugin. The one I was using is Main Type from High-Logic.

Different sync settings for different podcasts?

Here's a dilemma: From what I can figure so far, if you choose a Sync option (from the Podcast tab for your iPod when it's connected to iTunes), that option will apply to ALL of the podcasts you are sync-ing to your iPod - whether that's one, several, or all your podcasts. Well, what if you want different sync instructions for different podcasts?
For example, is there a way to have iTunes do the following, all at once, on the same iPod:
Sync only the "1 most recent" episode from Podcasts A, B, and C,
...AND...
Sync "all" episodes from Podcast D.
Because, seems to me, to keep all of the episodes of show D on iPod, you have to either have every episode of shows A, B and C loaded (which you don't want), or else have ONLY show D load (with not even the latest episodes from shows A B and C, which you WOULD like to have).
Would this require setting up a Smart Playlist for each show, or am I overlooking some other (obvious?) way of achieving separate sync instructions? Anxious for your insights.

i came on here looking for the same answer...this is probably the single most lame setting (or lack thereof) in itunes...I love apple and i'm a mac enthusiast who has converted 2 friends in the past 3 months, and i think they've done this for simplicity's sake, but it drives me up a wall to have a universal "keep" setting. The "Do Not Delete" is not enough, i'd love to have different keep settings for my podcasts.

Target Group for different Relationships

Hi All,
I would like to create the target group consisting of Buisness Partners(Level 2) having specific relationship with Identified Business Partners(Level 1).
How should I acheive this?
Do I need to create the target group for Business Partners(Level 1) and treat it as master group for creating target group for Business Partners(Level 2).
Afterwords filters needs to be applied on the Buisness Partners(Level 2).

I think help file is pretty clear. SAP provides one example with CP but they expect you to follow up the following (there is some programming involved):
You have defined data sources that are capable of providing the business partner relationship information. In the case of InfoSets, this means that the InfoSet itself contains all the fields required to provide the partner function information.
You need a conversion function for the data sources Business Intelligence Cube and Attribute Set. This function uses a function module to deliver the required information (for example, contact person for an organization). You need a separate function module for each relationship type. The standard delivery contains the following example function modules:
      CRM_MKTTG_PF_BP_TAB_TO_CP
      CRM_MKTTG_PF_BP_TAB_TO_CP_BW
      CRM_MKTTG_PF_FIND_CPS

In contacts section for the groups section i want to delete old groups i have on the phone and then add a new group for easy access for work contacts for calling. rather then searching each individual contact when needed. is this possible?

i currently have about 6 different groups listed on the iphone in my contact list section and i want to delete the old ones and create a new group for work puposes!
i dont want any apps all i want is something similar to my favourites list but in a group so i can just go into that work group and scroll to the person i need to call and this way seperating my personal and work contacts.
because i do alot of calls from my car i dont want to have to search my contact lists to find the right person i just want them all in a simple folder.
is this possible because if i already have groups on my iphone i should be able to delete the old ones and create a new one?

Deleting groups on the phone and creating new ones is not supported with iOS4, you'll have to do that on your computer and sync again.
Let's see if they changed that in iOS5 when it is released.

Too many different admin rights, user preferred

I have after migrating to my new Mac, 5 accounts, almost all with admin right now.
Two migrations, the second one done with admin rights, doubled the number of accounts...
I want to keep all accounts, that is ok - I use only one as main, with my first admin account on my old Mac, being left as "history".
Now I need to get help with
How to put all admin rights more normal than now, when I've got:
staff, admin, system, and three different user accounts with admin rights.
I had to give them admin rights in order to get Mail migration done, this worked ok when I did the second migration, and got more accounts..
I want to get advice on what type of model/principle to aim for, for the admin rights all over the file system,
I would love to have the rights as simple as possible, no special entries for all the above admin accounts.
So, should I use my main admin account, which was the main account on my last Mac, and have
my currently used account (with admin rights), reworked as a User account, just to be more safe,
although Mac security seems to be improving.
I am very unsure of how much I have to rework the rights on things in my whole file system,
in order to normally be able to run using only a normal user account, with no admin rights.
Things seem to work ok, now when everything is admin, but I'm afraid that I'll get many Apps
starting to have trouble if I don't have rights set smartly.
Thanks for any ideas about how to do this using as few principles as possible!

I think it would be far to messy to do things over, since I've used the new setup for two month or so. I have, after the migration, evacuated the internal Macintosh HD's contents with 5 accounts, to my new external SSD.
And it is of course not so easy to return to what the internal, dimounted partition contains, now a few weeks afterwards. And then I've had Mail and everything running for a month before that, after the messy migration. A problem also is that my Time Machine volume would get crowded with everything on the one drive. After all this...
Installing a new system with recovery mode, was what I did when I did the second migration. But that whole adventure scared me a bit also, that I have to plan things before doing anything. I did not. I did not either know that my Snow Leopard partition had to go. (I bought a few new Upgraded Apps).
One further problem I have, is that my Migration was done from my Time Machine volume, and now I have two, three Western Digital HDs, and they are hardware encrypted, so they had to be unlocked before I could do any Migration. I felt that I had to plan that, but it just got done a bit too fast. Also, I had trouble Importing all my mail into Mail, so Apple support recommended me to do a migration again using an Admin account. - So I got too many accounts, and it's no big hurry to clean out the somewhat doubled folders. (And I own "Spring Cleaning", so I can somewhat easily compare which folders are identical between the doubled accounts.)
With your method I agree that I maybe could succeed getting a copy on my machine of everything on the old one. And eliminating things, I was pretty satisfied with having not copies of very much on the old one. That mess was the result of two Migrations. And that I accidentally, after the second Migration, got Time Machine starting suddenly - so I have backups that are unnecessary with intermediate results.

The sorting out of permissions is maybe only neccessary to do on the folders in Users/* and the like.
And then I'll not touch the permissions for system, (but wheel have I not yet seen on the Mac).
I know that I have added rights for administrators here and there, but I strongly suspect I only did that on the top levels. Also, some of my migration problems had to do with evacuating my main (Admin) account on my old Mac - I got tired of a messy account, and did some cleaning out and moved User data to a new (user) account. Apple support told me how to do some of the transferring, like moving Mail files and other stuff.

ODI Execute Button Acting Different than Right-Click - Execute in Diagram

We have noticed that clicking the 'Green Arrow' Execute button in ODI to begin the Execution using First Step with only one Procedure is acting differently than simply right-clicking and selecting 'Execute' within the Diagram tab. We have noticed this issue with only a SQL Procedure.
In other words, when clicking the 'Green Arrow', ODI compiles the package together before executing which seems to make the procedure execute differently than right-clicking and executing the procedure individually.
Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Executing with Green arrow means the entire package would be compiled and executed. In such case if you have any special configuration for that step then that would be effective and thus might show different behavior.
Running a particular step by right clicking on it would be equivalent to running the procedure or interface directly.
Do you see difference in behavior if you run the procedure directly v/s running it within package too?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESTRICT A PARTICULAR MATERIAL GROUP FOR A USER

e.g Material Group : 101
User : ADMIN
Our requirement is that the user should not be able to select material group 101 in
any stock related transactions. e.g MB5B, MB51, etc.

SMT is a SUSE product so therefore the forum should be @ forums.suse.com
but you're right there is no specific SMT one. I'd use the SUSE Manager
one @ https://forums.suse.com/forumdisplay...2-SUSE-Manager but
making it clear in subject it relates to SMT.
