Different IP address: Diferent file format at receiver FTPwith same FCC par

Hi
a strange issue..
File -> XI -> File Scenario.
A tab seperate file is picked from source FTP, and Sucessfully
created at receiver FTP at my desktop.
at receiver file adapter the parameter i am using are :
ROOT.endSeparator     = '0x0D''nl'
ROOT.fieldSeparator     = ,
Fname.fieldFixedLengths    = 0
till now every thing went fine.
But when i change the IP address of my receiver file adapter , from my desktop IP to target production system IP address FTP.
Now the file created is different , then what it was created in my Desktop FTP.
Note : on opening both files in notepad , thier is no difference found...

• Output file formats in receiver file adapter

Hi,
Is it possible to create a tab delimited or a .CSV file in a receiver file adapter ??
-Teresa

HI,
It is possible to create a tab delimited/.csv file in a receiver file adapter by choosing "File content conversion" as a Message Protocol. But you need to do content conversion based on structure.

• IWeb 08 error message "The file format is invalid"

I have been reading all of the problems regarding publishing iweb pages at the moment, I too cannot publish my site but I get a different error message
"The file format is invalid"
Can anyone help as to why I might be getting this message?
My iDisk seems to have a very old version of my website stored and I don't know where to look to find the current versions files?
Why hasn't iDisk got the most up to date version of my iWeb site and how do I get it to have?
Which folder on the iDisk should your iWeb files be stored in?
Sorry to ask so many questions but I am new to the publishing part after spending weeks building a site only to find it I get an error and my iDisk file structure holds old files.

When I opened iWeb I could see the most up-to-date version of my site, I could edit it and save it (to where I don't know). When I opened the web and sites folder on my iDisk it contained only the files from a previous version of my website created months ago.
I tried looking for the Domain file for my iWeb site and looked in my home folder, application support and then iWeb but the iWeb file in App support was empty.
I believe the iWeb file in App support is where the Domain file should be located, correct?
I have used Time machine to go back a week and have located the domain file and have restored it. The domain file now sits in the iWeb folder in App support in my Home, where it should be.
Now when I load iWeb I see the version of my website that was created a week ago which is fine but iDisk still has the old file structure of my site from months ago.
Can I delete the old file structure completely from the Sites folder on my iDisk? this should remove the old version of my website shouldn't it?
How do I get the restored version of my website to appear in iDisk?
Do I simply copy the Domain file into the sites folder on iDisk?
My iWeb files on Mobile me are also the months old versions, how do I update these so my new site is all that I can see?
Any answers to my 'File format' problem when trying to upload, is it because I don't have my iWeb files in the correct places?

Graham,
For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail, etc. For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too. If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

I just purchased the new Canon SX60 camera. Despite downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe DNG converter, I receive an error message saying that Photoshop CS4 can't open up/convert raw files (.CR2). This is the same file format as used by the SX50, with which I never had any problem. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras I do not see that SX60 as supported. Just how new is the SX60 when was it announces. Its support is not even listed in ACR 8.7 RC

• Download file format(different length data on one column)

Hi all,
i am just writing a report to download the delivery data to a file.the file have 3 columns.the length of the column data in every row varies.
let my file structure is like
first line of my file contains,
delivery no(22),delivery date(8),delivery type(5)
2nd line of the file contains,
shipper num(48),customer PO num(20),material num(15)
In the first column of this file contains delivery number(length-22)& shipper number(length-48).but the length of both the data will be different i.e i have to assign the length of delivery num as 22 & length of shipper num as 48.but they will appear in one column. how it will be possible.
is there any command to make the file format like this?
ur help is highly appreaciated.it's urgent.
Regards
pabitra

whatever record you will populate(i mean it may be either delivery no or shipment no etc..)define your internal table with the highest length(in this case 48).
as both values are CHARacters, there is no problem even if you populate Delivery no(of 10 chars) to 48 char field.
spaces will be truncated.
data:begin of itab,
col1(48) type c,
col2,
col3,
end of itab.
*--when you are populating Delivery no:
ITAB-COL1+0(10) = V_DELIVERYNO.
CONDENSE ITAB-COL1+0(10) NO-GAPS.
*--when you are populating SHIPMENT no:
ITAB-COL1+0(48) = V_shipment.
CONDENSE ITAB-COL1+0(48) NO-GAPS.
i guess, there wont be any problems,if you use this logic.

• Same logo printing different colors for different file formats?

I created a logo for a client who will be using it for some printed materials. I provided the logo in 3 different file formats: EPS, JPEG and Tiff.
In INDesign and MS Word, the logo is printing a different color for the EPS vs the Jpeg/Tiff file types. Is there something I'm missing?
I've even tried changing the color to something completely different and we are getting the same result. There is STiLL a considerable difference between the Eps file and the other two files.

No the logo was created for print and I originally had used a pantone color but converted to CMYK. The actual value is C69 M7 Y0 K0. When my client inserts the eps file into her InDesign layout, it prints a bright aqua color and if she uses either the jpeg or tiff, it is a much different blue. We've tried other colors because I was thinking it might just be the fact that it's a blue color... but the same thing happens to other colors. I am wondering if there is some sort of color management setting that is causing the eps to be different?

Hi,
Firstly, your country is detemined by several factors, including your phone's regional settings, your SIM card and your NokiaAccount settings, if you used this phone whilst abroad then you may need to check that your regional and account settings are up to date since you have arrived in Canada.
For services like Gigs, you should also ensure that the MixRadio app has access to your phone's GPS location as well as the main location being on in the phone settings. To check this, as well as Location being turned on in the phone settings, in MixRadio itself go to Settings>Location>On:
The concern with favourites may also be related to location, if the music from certain artists is available in Canada but not where the service might think you are, availability of content may vary from region to region.
If all settings in both the phone, your Nokia Account and the MixRadio app are correct, we may have to investigate deeper.
It is impossible to comment on your camera without seeing it, you cold have the phone checked by Nokia Care locally, but of course if it was supplied in Europe it will be covered by the European Limited Warranty which is not valid in Canada.
If this or any post answers your question, please remember to help others by pressing the 'Accept as solution' button.

• I enabled the "kind" column and saw different file formats - Why?

I just happened to enable the "kind" column in Itunes and see my songs have several different file extensions such as AAC Audio file, MPEG Audio file, Protected AAC Audio File, Purchased AAC Audio File, and WAV audio file.
Is this O.K.? What does the file type mean to me?

Yes, it's OK.
Protected AAC Audio means itunes purchase with DRM,
Purchased AAC Audio means itunes Plus without DRM,
MPEG audio means MP3,
WAV means just that, WAV

• SPL screening of external addresses, file format

Hi GTS experts,
We have the SPL compliance Managment module for the screening of our Business Partners. Now, we have a requirement to screen some of the external address, those partners which physically dont exist in our feeder systems. I know that there is a transaction '/SAPSLL/SPL_CHSO3' for the offline screening. All the necessary configurations and number range set up is done. But we are not sure about the file format to be used. It will be of great help if some one can provide the file format which needs to be input to the program. What all fields should be there, what will be the header format etc ..

• Writing files from 1 IP to a different IP address

Does anyone know the best way to write files from one directory to another directory having a different ip address. Thanks for any info!

Directories don't have IP addresses. Perhaps you were thinking of a directory on a different computer? If so, you will need some kind of a server running on that computer that accepts requests to update that directory. (Imagine the chaos on the Internet if somebody could find out your computer's IP address and just write anything to any directory on it.) An FTP server is the most obvious candidate for your problem.

• Remove Email Addresses From a Formatted Excel File

I have an excel file that has some formatting in it that I
would like to preserve (some cells have background color, etc). I'd
like to remove a list of email addresses from this file. My first
thought is to use cffile with action read, use the following in a
cfloop: replace(emailAddressToDelete,
excelFileVarCreatedFromCffileRead) and then save it back to excel
format with cffile using action write. I tried this and the Excel
file would not open. The error was:
test.xls cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or
you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server
the document is stored on may not be responding.
I'm guessing something went wrong in the process of reading
and writing the files contents and it's not as simple as I want to
make it. Anyone have something to tell me that might help me remove
email addresses from a formatted Excel spreadsheet?

Yup, .xls is a proprietary encrypted file format and
<cffile.... is not
going to be able to successfully read and modify it's
content. You can
copy it or move it, but not modify it with <cffile...>
If the file format was a plain text such as .txt or .csv you
could do
what you are thinking about, but then you would probably not
have the
proprietary excel formating in the file.
I've heard about the POI library that allows some native
Excel access
and such, but I am not knowledgeable in its ins and outs.

• How do I convert an excel (2008) document to Numbers? When I drag the Excel document onto the Numbers icon I get, "Import error. The file format is invalid"

How can I convert an Excel (2008) document to Numbers. When I drag the Excel document onto the Numbers icon I get, "Import error. The file format is invalid.

That extension identifies the most current Excel file format, a format that can be opened by Numbers '09 (and by Numbers '08).
A check with Numbers '09 shows it capable of opening .xlsx files when right-clicked (and Numbers chose as the application to open, when double-clicked (if Numbers has been set as the default application to open this type of file, or when dragged to the Numbers icon in the dock.
I see two possibilities for Numbers inability to open it and the message you receive:
1. The file is not actually an Excel file, and the sender has added the .xlsx extension to the filename manually.
2. The file is an Excel file, but has somehow been corrupted.
Have you tried opening the file with a different application? The open source Office suites, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice and NeoOffice can also open .xlsx files. If they're unable to open this one, that would point toward the file itself being faulty. You can download these applications from their rspective websites, linked in the names above. All request a donation to support future development, but only Neo requires one to have been made recently, and that only for the current release (which won't be necessary to open .xlsx files).

Barry
