Different movement types for store Physical Count process

Hi Experts
Would like to ask for your advice in terms of using different movement types for physical inventory process.
The scenario is like this:
1) Our client uses different counting processes for store inventory, with both annual full stock take AND spontaneous ad-hoc counting which is more frequent and involve probably around 30 articles a week.
2) Both types of counting involve count result interface from a 3rd party POS system
3) Since it is count result interface, we are considering the standard PI process (MI01, MI04, MI07, MI31, MI20, etcetc)
4) However the standard movement type is 701/702 while our client request a different financial posting, hence different movement types, for the ad-hoc counting
So the question is very simple: Is there a way for SAP to determine using 701/702 when it is a full stock take, while using another set of Z-movement types when it is a ad-hoc count. Bare in mind that both information are the count result, not a variance adjustment, from external POS system.

Use a different movement type for Scrap in Production Order Confirmation

Hello gurus. I have the following question.
Is it possible to have the "Scrap" quantity during Production confirmation in a separate movement type?
Currently, when I type in the "Yield" and "Scrap" quantities, both of them are summarized into one backflush line under Movement Type 261. So for example: Yield: 10 pieces and Scrap 5 pieces; I only get one Goods Movement for 15 pieces with MvT 261.
The requirement is that whatever is typed under "Scrap" goes on a different movement type (e.g. 551), because then it will be easy to follow (inventory-wise) how many pieces were used in production and how many were scrapped.
Is it possible?

Well, I notice that when I type a quantity in the "Scrap" field, the difference with "Yield" is that I simply don't get the produced material on stock (in the case of the last operation with a GR for instance). I just get the backflushed quantity.
But yes, I guess in this transaction, I'm scrapping the produced material, the components are still issued. I was just wondering if perhaps they could be split in 261 for normal backflush and 551 for backflush that didn't generate any finished assembly.

Output type for HU physical inventory process

During a HU physical inventory process we print the physical inventory
document (the list) by transaction HUINV02.
The customer would like to make a few changes in the layout.
we didnt find the standard form and also not the output type.
is anybody know if there is a form or output type for this list?

I think you need to create a new output type for this. Because even I did not find it anywhere in NACE.
Here is the print program: RM07IDRU.
As you already have the form name, you can create the output type.

A different Movement Type for GR

Dear Friends
my customer requirements are as mentioned below
We will confirm production order of a component M2. M2 has a BOM
BOM of M2= M1+ Chips Dross
Once we will confirm production order of M2, M2will be generated through 101, M1 will be generated through Z08( copy of 101) , chips will be consumed through 261, and dross will be generated thru 531?
How can it be established for a production order? Is there any SAP standard movement type available that can be used for GR in production order?

U can do BY CO PRODUCT SCENARIO- Maintain Coproduct indiacator for Both The material master in mRP 2 view, & in BOM of the M2, maintain the Coproduct inducator for M1 and quantity as - ve quantity . Chips as a + ve quantity, and dross as a - ve quantity.
And maintain a Apportionment strrucure in MRP 2view for M2 in Joint production( take the help of CO Consultant for creating the structure and maintain the % of equivalence)
Auto GR is not possible in COPRODUCT,
In MB31 u can get the both material with movement type 101.

Multiple movement types for reservation

Dear experts ,
Is it possible to give multiple movement types for issue against reservations? if possible what should be the setting in "Define Movement Types for Material Reservations"
We are trying to issue materials against reservation to different GL accounts based on different movement types.

I think you can have different movement types for GI against an Maintenance Order.
Please check as per the following scenario
Material A with valuation class "400"
material B with valuation class "300"
Now in automatic account determination you define
movement type "990" for valuation class "400" incase of good issue
movement type "890" for valuation class "300" incase of good issue
Now whenever material A is issued it will be mvt type 900 & for material B issue 890.

I dont know abt 131 movement type,i think so it is related to RUN SCHEDULE HEADER(rep scenario),order type is different to that in discrete.
But you can do one thing for sure,you can try to create a new movement type copy of 101,and make MIGO allowed for the movement type,and you can easily distinguish between two movement type used for receipt two different functions....

Posting of Goods Issue for a Delivery (Different movement types)

Hello SD Experts,
We have this process wherein we use Deliveries w/o reference. There's a customization in place for this process, the movement type is determined through the item category of the material.
Given this scenario, my question is if it is possible to process the goods issue of a delivery with multiple item which require different movement types (diffrent items and item categories thus it have different movement types)?

If you want diff movement type then create your own 'Z' Sch line cat with you desired Movement type (Tcode VOV6) and determine the Sch line Cat accordingly in TCoDe VOV5.

Posting in gr from po for 2 materials in to 2 different movement types

hi,
i have 2 items in a single purchase order, how can i post them to different movement types like 101, 103 in one goods receipt. for ex in MIGO , i enter purchase order number , it is taking all the items from PO in to one movement type like 101 .. and if i go to 2nd in item over view and change the movement type to 103 and press enter it is coming to 101..
pl advise me , how to do that,

hi, thanks for quick reply, but i am entering goods receipt with referece to purchase order.. i am entering po number and movment type 101 in MIGO and pressing enter.. so all the materials in po being copied in to GR..and after that if i want to change the 2nd material to 103 it is not allowing me... it is considering all the materials belong to 101 only...
so do i need to delete the rest of the materials in GR and enter them individually? if i have 100 items in PO belongs to diff mov types then do i have to enter GR 100 times? pl explain..

The movement type is a three-digit key used to differentiate between goods movements in the R/3
System. Examples of these goods movements are goods receipts, goods issues or transfer postings
It plays a central role in Automatic Account determination. Together with other factors Movement types determines which stock or consumption accounts are updated in Financial Accounting.
We will use the Standard Movement types of SAP..
In case as per the Business requirement if you want any new Mvt type..
then you need to COpy the Standard Mvt type in OMJJ
Please find below the list of movement types
Movement type is the movement type + 1 (reversal of 101 = 102).
101 Goods receipt for purchase order or order
If the purchase order or order has not been assigned to an account, a stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock) can be entered during goods receipt.
If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.
Possible special stock indicators:
u2022 K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
u2022 O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
u2022 E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock

411 Transfer posting of special stocks E, K, and Q to company's own stock
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use special stock E (sales order stock), unrestricted-use stock K ( consignment stock) and unrestricted-use special stock Q (project stock) to unrestricted-use storage location stock. The corresponding special stock indicator is required for this movement.
If you do not use the special stock indicator, the system uses this movement type and movement type 311.
For sales order stock, you can change the material number for this movement if you manage the material in your company's own stock under a different material number (for example, for configurable materials).
Consignment stock is transferred to valuated stock, thus resulting in a vendor liability.
413 Transfer posting to sales order stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.

415 Transfer posting to project stock
You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, consignment stock, and other project stock to a project stock.

Part of the stock of an "empties" material assigned to a full product is managed in the stock type "tied empties".
Empties stock not assigned to a full product forms part of the stock type "unrestricted-use".
Using movement type 441, you can make a transfer posting for an empties material from the stock type "unrestricted-use" to the stock type "tied empties". Movement type 442 reverses this transaction.
Example:
The full product "beer" has a stock of 15 cases. Part of the empties components "bottle" and "case" is tied empties stock.

Different movement types in MM documents in SSR

Hello,
How can I use different movement types in logistic documents for meter readings?
I set up additional meter event for own consumption and I need to get logistic document with other movement type (as standard we running creating logistic document types an 251/252 movement types for fuel sales).
To realize at least those two types of sales wehave only two possibilities in the system:
1. Setup separate processing profile for location for purpose of own consumption.
The stop over point is only one processing profile can be assigned to the location at once.
2. Setup a new process with new movement type.
The stop over point - restriction in the customizing - only one main process can be used for posting based on meter readings (error message OQ_C601 "More than one entry selected as main MM process for location indicator 01").
How can I solve this issue?

Custom movement type for automatic movement

Hi,
We are doing cycle count inventory using warehouse management. When we clear the difference, system posts material document with movement types 711 or 712 for loss or gain.
We need to clear the difference for some materials using seperate movement types for reporting purpose. So, we created new movement types 911 / 912 and assigned the transactions to it in "Materials Management-Inventory Management and Physical Inventory-Movement Types-Copy, Change Movement Types". However, system still takes movement type 711 / 712.
Also, I think if we make it work, it will be applicable to all materials and not certain materials.
Any idea where I need to configure other than above setting?

You have created a new movement types, but check whether you have defined this movement types in WM.
Please maintain the Customizing entry in the below mentioned path,
goto >> SPRO->Logistics Execution->Warehouse Management->Activities->Transfers->Define Movement Types
Maintain your entry here and save the customization settings.
This movement types will be applicable to all the material unless and until you specify some special stock indicator while modifying the movement type.

Ref.mov.type for WM

I am getting an error message 'Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 101/ / / /B/X/ ' while creating inbound delivery. Is anyone acquainted with such an issue? Can you please advice?
I have checked all the config for movement type definations. Everything looks ok. Please let me know if there is a fix.

I think, you didn't get me ...
In the above configuration what I explained, all you need to do is just adding the ref mvt type the one that is missing...it must be currently blank because of which the error what you posted is appearing. All that you need to do is just add the ref mvt type for the line as explained....
Remaining checkboxes, indicators etc....you are not even expected to be able to change....
What it means? for mvt type 101 of IM, when a material related transaction GR posting happens, for the material type used for setting up the material, in the plant of your concern, when there is no value and qty update is active in material type config, and which is not of special stock related posting, but referencing B - Purchase Order, of Transfer Type ie, stock transfer PO, the corresponding Ref Mvt type required to process further in WM, is missing in IM mvt type assignment (T156)...
