Different Order Types within a Collective Order

Dear PP Gurus,
I have a requirement for having different order types with in a collective order. For example, in a BOM of 3 levels, the order type for each assembly should be different say ZPP1, ZPP2 and ZPP3.
For this, I have maintained separate production scheduling profiles in each of these assemblies with the respective order types. Also, I have maintained MRP groups separately for each of these materials. Further, in Plant Parameters, no default order type is assigned.
However, when I create the order, the system creates all orders with order type ZPP1 which is for the header material.
As per SAP help, this is possible but I am not able to create collective order with different order types.
Please suggest any SAP Note or configuration changes which I have missed out.
Thanks!
With Regards,
Nitin

Dear Sabine,
Thanks for your reply.
However, as per SAP help, this is possible. Please refer to the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/ee/b6532cae8011d19e97080009b0db33/content.htm
In this link, under Pre-reuisites section, in Point 2 it is mentioned
"This indicator is transferred into the order header (master data) of the orders. If there are differing order types within the collective order, the setting of the indicator of the order type of the leading order takes precedence. This indicator is transferred to all lower-level orders and overrides their original indicators."
The above line implies that different order types are possible with in a collective order.
Please suggest some way out.
Thanks!

Nitin

  • New order type for a purchase order similar tu UB.

    Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to create a new order type for a purchase order. This new order type should work as a UB order type but "plant" and "storage location" should be indicated by default and shouldn't be changed.
    How should I proceed?
    Thanks in advance.
    Luis.

The problem is that If I specify default values for each user (plant and storage location) It will always propose these values when using different order types. This can't be.
Isn't there any other solution in standard sap?

    Hi Maxx
Order types are maintained in T Code OPJH
Thereafter go to T Code OPL8 to maintain there dependent parameters and assign it to desired plant

    Hi,
Suppose you got the delivery order detail like delivery number#,dlv type...etc...
From which table link could we find the corresponding sales order type???
Is there any table indicate the document flow, and with that then i could find the sales order type for this dlv order???
    Thank you very much!!

    Hi Ram,
Could kindly indicate which field could link LIKP and VBAK directly..Thank you very much...
Maybe below way is not the fast way...
    1)     Get sales order number with dlv# by checking document flow table VBFA.
    2)     Get Sales order type by checking tbl VBAK with sales order number.

  • Create 2 different delivery types for one sales order

    Hi,
When sales agent is placing sales order at customer site, customer declares as well products or returned packages he would like to return. our business need is to combine all items (return products,  return packages and ordered items) into one sales order.
However, we would like to split the sales order into 2 different delivery types. Sales order customizing dictates only one default delivery type per order.
We can set up split criteria via copy control according to item category, but how can we intervene during creation of deliveries and set up a rule to determine different delivery type then default for return items ?
    Thanks,
    Assaf tzur

    Dear Assaf,
Through copy control settings you can create two delivery types for single sales order but you have to select the delivery type manually while creating delivery.
If you want automatic process then you need go for some Zdevelopment with the help of ABAPer.
I hope this will help you,
    Regard,
    Murali.

  • Restrict specific sales order type during data collection............

    Hello Gurus,
Can we restrict a specific order type of sales order in getting collected during the data collection, or is that the only way is customization, like remove all the sales orders with a specific order type after the data collection.
can somebody help me on this.
    Thanx & Regards

You can try defaulting rules to default the demand class so that you can exclude these demand classes during MDS..

  • Default rule in Order type dependend parameters - OPL8 - Order Settlement

    Hello,
We are doing settlement of production orders via Tcode - Ko88.
After execution of the same, system is passing an FI entry to GL - which is mentioned in the Material Master (Valuation Class - 7900) i.e. through OBYC setting.
We have also checked the OPL8 setting (Order Type dependend Parameters - Controlling Tab) in which "Default Rule" is mentioned as - PP1 - Production Material full Settlement.
As the system is passing an entry via "Default Rule - PP1" stored in Order Type Dependend Paramenters:
    1. What is the use of Settlement Profile (OKO7) & Allocation Structure (OKO6)?
    2. Can we make "Default Rule" field as optional (In Tcode - OPL8) ? since all the settlements are resulting in same Material GL.
Waiting for a positive answer. Points will be assigned definitly.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shridhar Sawant

    Hi,
    Settlement Profile:
In the settlement profile, you define a range of control parameters for settlement. You must define the settlement profile before you can enter a settlement rule for a sender.
If you want to settle the costs each time to just one cost center or just one G/L account, you need a settlement profile. As you cannot maintain the settlement parameters during settlement to a receiver, you must save the settlement profile either in the order type or in the model order or reference order.
    Allocation Structure:
During settlement, costs incurred under the primary and secondary cost elements by a sender are allocated to one or more receivers. When you settle by cost element, you settle using the appropriate original cost element.
An allocation structure comprises one or several settlement assignments. An assignment shows which costs (origin: cost element groups from debit cost elements) are to be settled to which receiver type (for example, cost center, order, and so on).
You have two alternatives in settlement assignment:
You assign the debit cost element groups to a settlement cost element.
You settle by cost element - that is, the debit cost element is the settlement cost element.
This is a good idea, for example, if the required capital spending for an asset you are building yourself is to be monitored. These costs are settled by cost element to an inventory account in Asset Accounting at the end of the year, or when the measure is complete.
Each allocation structure must fulfil the following criteria:
    Completeness
An allocation structure is assigned to each object to be settled. All cost elements in which costs are incurred, must be represented in the appropriate allocation structure.
    Uniqueness
Each cost element in which costs are incurred may only appear once in an allocation structure. Only one settlement cost element may be assigned to a source within a particular allocation structure.
    Source Structure:
A source structure contains several source assignments, each of which contains the individual cost elements or cost element intervals to be settled using the same distribution rules.
In the settlement rule for the sender you can define one distribution rule, in which you specify the distribution and receivers for the costs for each source assignment.
    Thanks,
    Rau

  • Order Type: LA , when Planned Order --- Prod Order

In STD SAP, In MD04 when we convert planned order to prod order, a new screen comes
where we mention planned order ---> prod order,
In the above screen, ORDER TYPE :LA is mentioned (Bottom Right end corner)
As far to my understanding goes
    In CO40, Order type PP01 which controls/holds
the production orders are being generated
(pickup from MRP parameters, under Planned order --> prod order (Tcode: OPPQ))
Then how does, ORDER TYPE: LA is being used & from where the system is pulling the order type LA
    Please clarify

    Hi Eswer,
Please check with SPRO t.code OMDD
Order profile is linked with  Order type & Procurement type & SP type&  Acct assisnment cat at OMDD.
When u run the MRP based on MRP view settings the Ordetype is selected For EX inhose porduction order type = LA.
When u create planned order manually, u have to select the Order profile manually.

  • Copy order item within a sales order

    Hi
Is there a way to copy a existing item with all the configuration and all other connected information to that specific item to a NEW item within the same order?
    Best regards
    Henrik

    Hi,
It is not possible, and not practical as well.
If you changing the material in secound line item, there is no mean to copy the same as in first line item,
and if you are creating the new line item with same material, there is no mean, you may add the quantity in first line item itself.

  • Order type pick for production order from Sales order

    Hello All,
I wanted to know how is order type picked in case of Production order is generated directly from Sales order. Can any one help
    Regards
    Divya

    Hi divya,
    1. Check your material master (mm02/mm03) on tab mrp 3, Check your strategy group
    2. Check customizing for Strategy Group (OPPS). Check your Requirement type for Customer
    3. Check customizing for Requirements Types (OVZH). Check what is your requirement class for your requirement type
    4. Check customizing for Requirements Classes (OVZG). Check detail for your requirement class, in Assembly Section, maintain your Order Type. If order type is maintain empty, it changes directly to your standard order type PP01
Be careful for maintaining this order type in . It is wisely to copy than change the standard requirement type and class setting. As my experience after changing the standard, we can't put it back to standard settings.
Hope it's answer your question, and mind sharing some points.

  • Different document type Preq from PM order

    Hi folks,
Currently a PM order auto creates a Preq, after releasal of the PM order. The Preq now has the standard document type NB. Is there any way to use a different Preq document type for the req's created by the PM-order?
    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Hi,
To define Default PR document type go to :
SPRO - Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing- Maintenance and Service Orders- General Data - Define Account Assignment Cat. and Document Type for Purchase Requisitions
Here you can assign default PR document type for PR created by PM order.
    Hope it will help you

  • Different Production order number ranges with same order type

    Dear Friends,
I am working on live project implementation.I am having four manufacturing plants.I am having one order type say PPLE, I am having two different versions say CM and CN.Now my requirement is can I maintain  two different number ranges for same order types within single plant .
    number ranges should be like,
    Plant          Version     Number ranges
    1210            CM           CM121008...
    1210            CN            CN121008
    1220            CM           CM121008
    1220             CN           CN121008
and so on.here first two digit should be version, then plant and year followed by order number .
    Regards,
    Manoj Jadhav

    Hi manoj,
You cant have two different number ranges for an order type in internal number range, but in external number range you can have two diffrent number ranges
for example for one order you can start with CM1210080001 and other starting from CN1210080001.
Just convince the client to have external number range

  • Credit Management for different Sales Order Types

    Hello All,
The problem is related to Credit Management for Sales Order which is explained below with an example -
We have separate Sales Order Types for New Launches (ZNLS) & Normal Depot Sales (ZDPS) but both the Order Types are assigned with same pricing procedure and respective orders will be raised against the same party code. Now automatic credit check is only active for order type ZDPS where the credit limit had been set to Rs.1000. Now Rs,.500 had already been raised using order type ZDPS, then another sales order of Rs. 500 is raised using order type ZNLS.But when a sale order of Rs. 550 is raised using order type ZDPS the sales order is getting blocked, because the system had taken into consideration & added up the Rs. 500 value of ZNLS with previous value of Rs. 500 against order type ZDPS as a result of automatic credit check though it is not active for order type ZNLS.Point to be noted that Credit exposure is  also not active for Order Type ZNLS.
How is this taken into consideration & what are the steps need to be configured so that the credit limit check will not get automatically activated for order type ZNLS  and  only remain active for order type ZDPS  despite they are assigned to same pricing procedure and used for invoicing same party code?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    Priyanka Mitra

    Hi Mitra,
The issue occurs because of the fact that credit check and the
update of the credit values are separate processes which are also
controlled separately by the respective customizing:
    1. credit check is controlled by transactions OVAK and OVA8.
According to the attachment, you have already refered to note 18613 to
    check the customizing settings.
    2. update of the credit values is controlled by VOV7 or OVA7: "credit
acttive" flag. The 'Credit active' setting only affects the credit
update of the SD credit values (open orders, open delivery and open
billing documents). This flag has no control on the credit check. So
if for an order type, there is no credit check in OVAK and OVA8 but
the "credit active" flag is set for the item category, the order will
update the credit values even if no credit check is performed for the
    order.
If the flag "credit active" is not set, the system will not update the
open credit values. On the other hand, the system ALWAYS updates the FI
credit value 'Open receivable' when the billing document is transferred
to Accounting. So, although you deactivated the "Credit active" flag in
in OVA7 or VOV7, such an item will increase the 'Open receivables' and
thus the credit limit used when the corresponding billing document is
    posted to Accounting.
If you would like the value from sales order type  ZNLS is excluded from credit update, you could consider set the "Credit Active" field as blank in VOV7 for the item category used for ZNLS.
    Best regards,
    Smile

  • How to trigger creation of collective orders

    Hi,
How to trigger the creation of Collective orders.
    regards

    Hi,
    Collective Orders
    Use
In a collective order, planned orders or production orders are linked to one another over several production levels. Each order in the collective order has its own order number. If subassemblies are produced directly for superior orders within a production process, without physically entering the warehouse, it is useful to have a representation via collective orders.
The components for which separate production orders are created in the collective order are called directly produced components (see Creating Collective Orders)
    Prerequisites
A collective order cannot be created for components that have one of the following indicators set:
    · Co-product
    · By-product
    · Alternative item with strategy 2
    · Alternative item with usage probability 0
    · Discontinued
    · Follow-up material
    · Intra material
    Features
Collective orders offer the following advantages:
    · Integrated view of a production process
Collective orders make it possible to represent different levels of the production process together in the system. The production process can be viewed as an integrated whole.
    · Separate order number for every order
Every level in a collective order represents a separate production order/planned order. Every production order/planned order has its own order number. This enables you to process the entire collective order, a subtree in the collective order or an individual order.
    · No placements in storage or removals from storage between production levels
Within a collective order stock movements only take place for the leading order (that is, the order that is at the highest production level) and not for directly produced components. This makes it easier to maintain the collective order in comparison with several individual orders. A further advantage is a more realistic representation of the costs of the production process, since subordinate orders can be directly assigned and settled to superior orders.
    · Business functions simultaneously for several orders
Certain business transactions can be carried out simultaneously for several orders. Releasing an order that belongs to a collective order has the effect that all the hierarchically subordinate orders are released simultaneously.
    · Automatic change to dependent orders
Changes to an order automatically affect dependent orders / components affecting orders. For example, if you change the order quantity in an order then
¡ the relevant quantity changes are automatically made to dependent orders
¡ the requirements quantity of the directly produced component is automatically changed.
In the collective order, you also have the option of manufacturing directly produced material in a different plant to the planning plant.
    · Set status in leading order
If you make changes in subordinate orders that have an affect on the status, then the system sets the corresponding status in the order header of the leading order in the collective order as follows:
u2013 CFCO Confirmation in collective order
u2013 GMCO Goods movements in collective order
u2013 RLNE Release taken place in network
In this way you are informed about changes in the whole collective order.
    · Reading master data
You can copy the routing data and BOM data to the order again. You can find more information in Read master data.
    Example
You want to produce a pump. The BOM for the pump contains a pressure regulating valve and a spiral casing. You want to enter these two components in separate production orders, but you do not want them to be posted to stock.
You set the special procurement type to direct production in the material master record for the pressure regulating valve and the spiral casing, so that production occurs using a collective order.
When you create a production order for the pump, a collective order is automatically created, which contains subordinate production orders for the pressure regulating valve and the spiral casing.
    Creation of Collective Orders
    Use
Collective orders are only created if the special procurement type is set to direct production in the components for which the separate production orders are to be created (materials planning area in the material master).
In the standard system, 52 is the special procurement type for direct production (that is, for components that are produced within a collective order).
To create a collective order, you must use an order type with internal number assignment.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Tejas
