Different Pages in Multiple tabs of Content Area

Hi,
I have one window with for iview for transactions for se16 and se11.
I want these two windows to open in different tabs of content area.
at present when i click on the second the content area is over wrtten on the first window content.
please suggest any configuration missing / workaround for displaying different pages on different tabs of content area.
Thanks
Sneha

I wonder why do you want to create portal pages for se16 and se11 transactions from portal. However one option is to develop a custom iView using PDK to display two tabs.

When I sign off on yahoo email. I get a blank page on every tab if any are opened. I have to exit out & restart firefox . It does not happen w/any other browser. I have no malware or viruses. Please advise.

Actually, it's not obvious & common sense would dictate that users' bookmarks would not be left stuck to random computers even once they've logged out of the account. No one wants that if it's a public work computer or if they're traveling & use an Internet cafe. As I am not the only one who has noticed this issue or had bookmarks disappear/be deleted, in addition, common sense would indicate it's not really a very good system. And carrying around a flashdrive to run Firefox off of it is a good solution? Really? Just curious why a useful feature such as being able to login & use your preferences & bookmarks & then logging out removes your preferences when you're gone hasn't been developed. Yahoo keeps my preferences when I logout (it's called My Yahoo!). Maybe a My Firefox or My Chrome solution could be developed.

  • Could not find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin Tab

    Hello all,
I have installed 'Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 SP16 - Full Java Edition-Trial' from sdn.sap.com website. I am trying to learn EP development and started with EP100 (August 2002) document.
I couldn't find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin tab from where I can create channels and pages as described in the document. Am I following the wrong document or do I have to assign any additional roles to the user.
I have created a user with everyuser roles and super admin role. Do I have to add any other roles to this user to work with iViews and pages.
Please help me as I have struck at the very beginning.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Placing an image in a tabbed panel content area, it shows up on all three panels

This is crazy.  It should be so simple. But sometimes this happens to me. Like today.
I have many pages that use a simple tabbed panel feature with three tabs.
Each content area has a text frame and an image frame.
Sometimes when I try to place an image into the content area of the first tab, the image shows up on all three content areas.  I have tried and tried placing the image, making very sure I am in the "content area" on not just on the page.  But nevertheless, the image seems to be "stuck" on the page, in front of the accordian feature, and therefore showing on all three tabs.
How am I not targeting the placement of those images correctly? There just aren't that many options for me to screw up, it's a simple tabbed panel, that's all!
    Help please.
    Barbara

Are you using the latest version of Muse/Air?
The borders of the Content Area of a tab gets highlighted as soon as you drag over an element over it so it is very unlikely that something like this could happen. However, I believe it could be due to messed up Layers configuration as the only way I could reproduce this problem is through moving the image into a layer above a layer that contains the Tabbed panel or in case of just one layer, you might have the image at the very top.
    Thanks,
    Vinayak

  • OAF page with multiple tabs

    Hi,
We are on R12 and I am new to OAF. I developed an OAF page with 3 tabs in it. tab1 is a simple search section. where user selects search criteria and data will be displayed in a table section. There is a radio button against each resulting row. Tab2 is to display master data and Tab3 is to display/enter detail records.
The way it works is, when user performs search and  selects a row in the search tab, and clicks on 2nd tab(master tab),  the data gets queried and displayed there and then when user clicks on the 3rd tab(details tab), then it is getting data in the details section also. There is a view link between master and details tabs.
Now my issue is, say user searched something and chose a record in first tab, and directly clicks on 3rd tab(details tab) without clicking on the master tab, then no records are displayed...meaning the data in details section is not getting queried unless user first clicks on master tab and then detail tab.
But my requirement is, user can click on detail tab directly after they choose a record in the search results section.
Can anybody help me with this please....
Note: I have only one page, one AM, and one controller.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jaya,
Thanks for your quick response. I am new to OAF. DO you mind giving me the steps please.....
I did specify action type as "fire partial action" and specified a method and in that method, I am setting the default where clause to get data based on the ID and doing execute query of the details VO. Still it is not working. I am assuming that what you are mentioning is something different. If so , I appreciate if you can give me the steps in detail please...thanks.

  • Applying Page style sheets to a Content Area.

We have embeded a Folder within a Content Area that has been published as a Portlet and is displayed within a Page. There is a link within the displayed folder which displays another Folder within the Content Area that we have doctored to appear like the Page (by including other Portlets, Nav Bars, same regions etc.). But the second tier (Content Area) does not mimic the Page Style of the home page, ie. we can't mimic Portlet header colours etc. How can we sort this???
    Thanks in advance.

Just to clairfy, are you trying to make a folder look like a page, and asking how to impose a page style onto a folder? If so, you can edit your folder style to resemble your page style.

  • Prevent opening a page in multiple tabs

    Hi,
is it possible to prevent users from opening the same page in two or more tabs in the browser? And how?
    Thank you!

I'll try to explain why, on an imaginary example with employees and departments, to avoid lengthy explanation of our application.
Lets say I have a list of departments on page 100. Clicking on one of the departments on page 100 sets the value of item P200_DEPARTMENT_ID and takes us to page 200 where we can see the list of employees and their salaries in that particular department (...where department_id=:P200_DEPARTMENT_ID).
On page 200 we can increase the salary of each employee by clicking on a button placed next to employees' names. The button executes a procedure, and I don't want to submit the entire page to do so. Instead, I execute the procedure in a Dynamic action, and after that I refresh the region displaying employees and their salaries, to show the increased salary.
That works fine, except when I open that same page in two tabs.
First, on page 100, I click on department A, and open that in new tab. This sets the item P200_DEPARTMENT_ID to ID of department A, and shows me the employees in department A.
Then I click on department B, opening that in a new tab as well. This sets the item P200_DEPARTMENT_ID to ID of department B, and shows me the list of employees in department B.
After that, I go back to first tab (the one for department A) and after increasing the salary for an employee in first tab, refreshing the list of employees will show me the data for department B, because the item P200_DEPARTMENT_ID, which I use in my region source, is set to the ID of department B.
I hope I managed to explain the problem with opening the page in two different tabs, I apologize for my English and, as always, thank you.

  • Dividing Spry Tabbed Panels content area into columns?

    Hi there.
I am building a website and I want to divide the content area of a Spry Tabbed Panel into 3 columns for text.
    How can I do this?
I thought about making divs inside the Panel but it would be too messy.
Please let me know if there is a simple way to do this.

  • R12: Multiple Tab Reports (Content Set)

    All,
We are on R12 and we are using Report Manager and WebADI. In Report Manager if we run an FSG report with a content set it opens up in Excel, with one tab for each value in the content set. So, all is good.
However, in core GL when we run Program - Publish FSG report for the same report and apply the standard template of "FSGXML: Basic Template" then the reports open all in 1 tab :(
I've logged an SR with Oracle and they have indicated that this functionality is no longer available from core GL but only from Report Manager. I find this amazing. We don't want to give all our accountants access to Report Manager as we don't want the repository becoming very messed up over time. Also, we publish our official reports to the repository, so the less fingers in the pie, the better. The other reason is that there doesn't appear to be a way to secure folders within the Report Manager repository. Yes, we can secure the reports but just can see a way of ensuring only certain users are allowed to write to a certain folder, or removing a certain folder from a particular responsibility.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi
    Thanks for the response.
But there are some cases where there are 3 and also 4 programs submitted as part of payment process. In 11i this was achieved by submitting an SQL based program which in turn submitted multiple programs.
How to submit 3 or more programs using PPR or payment process profile features of R12 ?
    regards,

  • Firefox crashes if multiple tabs or windows are open.

Since I updated to Firefox 29 I have got the following problem: if I have a longer session and I open more and more tabs and windows (e.g. 30 tabs in 2 windows, so not that much...), Firefox crashes. I haven't had that problem before. So I also reset my whole profile and started with a clean one, but the problem is still the same.
    (Crash ID: eg. bp-0833c256-71df-494b-89d0-78b572140522)
Thank you very much in advance!

    Hey cor-el,
first of all thank you very much for your reply. I did all the steps you listed and I also went through the support sites. Actually, disabling the protected mode in Flash resulted in a slight performance improvement (at least I think it did). But unfortunately, the crashes still occur.
Just a few minutes ago I had a very typical crash. ID: bp-70ad21db-8de1-43b9-892c-246a02140523
I figured out some details: there are some sites that make it more likely that a crash will occur. E.g. one of these websites is www.chip.de
Memory usage can go up to 1300MB, CPU about 50%.
The website then usually turn black (see pic 1). If I go over some elements with the mouse, some of them might turn visible again (see pic 2). I tried to reproduce this (by opening some sites of chip.de) and made to screenshots.
Perhaps this helps to identify the problem.
It would be really great if you had any other advice for me.
    Best
    Moritz

  • Link to Content Area from ASP page brings up default page

I have a link on an ASP to the content area. When the user clicks on the link, he/she is required by the portal to provide their username/password. After entering the correct information, the users are displayed their default page NOT taken to the content area.
    Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the only way to do this would be to not show the sub-folder region and add URL items in another region that link to the folder page in question.
