Different PR number range

Dear all
At my client there are two scenarios of PR creation from maintenance order :
one is for planned services against outline agreement in which PM user will create PO itself.
another is PM user will create PR thru maint. order and give it to commercial dept. & they will make PO.
What I want is the different number range for both the PRs for differentiate the PRs created from orders.
is it possible ?
thanks in advance

hi
i don't suggest to go with different number ranges,
better use the purchasing groups for both

  • Different Billing Number Range

    Dear All
My client want different billing number range
Example for vehicle sales ( sales area 6100,61,60)
For spares sales (sales area 6300,61,60)
For credit memo want different billing number range ,please guide me ,how i can maintain the different billing number range.
and how should i maintain different accounting number range which is same as the billing number range.
    Thanks and Regards
    Bhushan

    Hi Bhushan,
If you want different number range as per the standard
-->You need to define two different billing document types for two sales areas in VOFA transaction
-->You define two different number ranges in VN01 transaction
-->Assign that number range to the document types in VOFA transaction.
-->Take help of FI people to define the number range for the accounting document as per your requirement in OBA7 transaction.
If you want the number range based on the sales organisation then you need to use the User Exit with the help of ABAPer.
    Try With this User Exit.
    USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE_INV_DATE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZC)
Depending on the number range, table TVFKD is used to set the billing date (country-specific requirments in Italy). USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE is automatically deactivated when this user exit is being applied.
I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • FI Number Range Number by Document Type -- different by company code

In transaction <b>OBA7</b>, I assign a <b>number range number</b> (T003-NUMKR) to each FI Document Type.
We have over 40 company codes on SAP.  One of those 40 company codes requires sequential numbering of FI documents for the whole company code across all document types.  The other company codes require different FI number ranges based upon document type.
I need to identify a solution where I can assign a different <b>number range number</b> by document type for different company codes.
For instance, company code IT01 should use a single <b>number range number</b> for all FI documents -- i.e. RV, SA, AB, etc. Then, all other company codes should use a different <b>number range number</b> for each document type.
Any ideas here?  My problem company code is in Italy where our accountants tell us all FI Documents must be sequential, without gaps.

    Hi Colin,
The point is that it is about journal<b>s</b>
Sales Journal = Doc type RV
Cash Sales Journal = Doc Type DR or have RV&DR use the same number range.
For clearing you will have to create new doc types eg.
                        AB = GL Clearing
                        KB = Creditor clearing
                        DB = Debitor clearing
The existing companies will also have to use these since these defaults are set in customising, but you have clearly defined Journals that comply with the requirements
It is probable that you will need additional doc types,to ensure compliance. In my case all creditor invoices used Doc type KR/KG (SAP Standard and they use the same number range), for the Italian company i then had:-
                     KR/KG = Domestic Purchase Journal
New Doc Type = EU Purchase Journal
         etc.
    Kind regards

  • Anybody ever created multple PO doc type/number ranges in extended classic?

I have searched this forum, and found plenty of useful threads which would help me determine different document types/number ranges for back-end purchase orders in a classic scenario. (And I have done something similar many years ago on a classic EBP 3.0 implementation)
However, I have a customer who has an SRM 5 extended classic implementation, and who (Based on certain simple criteria) requires a different PO number range to identify certain types of indirect orders. (They also have direct materials procured using doc type ECDP, but that's not relevant to this requirement)
This would obviously have to apply to the local PO in SRM, as well as the backend ECC PO.
It would also need to be derived for orders created automatically via approved shopping carts, as well as those orders that are created via sourcing.
I've copied ECPO via define transaction types IMG step, as well as assigned a new number range.
Just to test, I've also added the second doc type in the BSA attribute for a particular test user - just initially see if it was possible to manually choose when creating a PO in sourcing. However, I could only get ECDP and ECPO.
I have looked at various BADIs to see if I can determine doc type or number range somewhere in the PO creation, but as far as I can see, they either:
    - Seem to apply only to the object type (PO, requisition, reservation etc) rather than the transaction type within that object.
    - Or look like they are too late in the process to influence the doc type and number range (BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI?) ... which doesn't seem to have those doc type or PO number fields available anyway
    - Or I doesn't seem to be trigerred at all when turning requirement into Po and ordering via sourcing. (tried break-point & endless loop in implemnetation of BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW, but nothing happened. In any case the PO number was alreadya ssigned)
If anybody has ever managed this before, or can tell me that I am definitely barking up the wrong tree, it would be gratefully appreciated. The document type is actually lesss important than the different number range... and was really just an attempt to trigger a different number. I'm starting to think that this sort of thing may only be possible in a classic implemntation.
What I need ideally, would have been some kind of 'local PO' equivelent of the BADI that enables you to determine transaction type for a bid.

    Vince

Hi. Not sure on this, but I can tell you that with extended classic it is BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI that is called for the backend PO instead of the CREATEPO_BACK BADI.
You can have a look in BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI and see if that helps?
Don't think it will influence the PO in SRM at all though.
Have you tried the number range / grouping BADIs? They definitly work for changing the number range for classic POs.

    Dave.

  • Cash Journal Document Number Ranges

    Hi
I want to give different document number ranges for Expense Posting & Income posting done through Cash Journal.
That to different ranges for different Cash Journals.
So Kindly guide me as to what cofigurations needs to be done while setting up Cash journals.
What document number ranges need to be defined in different document types?

    Hi
You can use different document types for vendor, customer and GL Postings. However, the document types can have only one number range assigned at the company code level. Moreever, cash journal also generated a cash voucher number which is specific to that cash journal. So you need to adjust accordingly as per your requirements.

  • CC01 how can i choice a specific number range ?

    Dear
In trx. OS53 i have defined two different internal number range object for change master  record.
When I create a new change master how can I choice a specific number range ?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
If my understanding is correct then its internally in the system for the type - Change master and ECR the change number
object used is AENNR and where in you can assign a common number range group and it will be used for creating change
numbers of both these types. It's not as like the production order type where you can link a different number ange for each
    order type.
In the standard SAP  to set of number range (one internal numbe range and one for external will be assigned) exists.so aaume for CC01 you can make use of the internal number range, where during CC01 without any value for the field change number you can proceed. When creating through CC31 you can make use of external number range by giving the change number as the input and you save the data.
    Hope the information is useful

  • Defining Internal Number Ranges

    Hi,
I am looking for a good solution for <u><b>internal number ranges generation</b></u> in MDM, I haven't find any solution for this number ranges in any of SAP MDM ref. guides and any other SAP standard documentation.
    Business requirement:
1)Based on Account Group we have different internal number ranges for Business Partner.
2)Once the user select a Acct. Grp for Business Partner  in MDM corresponding <u>sequential number range</u> should generate and assign to that BP.
    3) the solution should work in both Data manager and in Portal.
Appreciate all valid suggestions and helpful answers.
    Thanks,

    Hi Anita,
I am not looking for Remote System key generation.
I need a solution for the internal number range generation for any new BP or Material creation within MDM and there is no data model provided by standard SAP MDM on this.
    - I am wondering how all other clients are implementing this kind of requirement?
    - this is very crucial and important for any client in the BP.
    Hi All,
Kindly share some of your experiences and provide solution in this regard.

  • Number range of  accounting document for different plants

whenever a billing document is created in SD (using the T-code VF01); an accounting document will be simultaneously created in the FI module. one document type(TS,number range---60:1 to 9999 ) have four  plants .different plants have own number range and sequential document number .
eg: doc. type   num.range    fr       to           plant cty       co code
             TS           61            1        1000       PLANT_1      3100
                            62           1001    2000       PLANT_2      3100
                            63           2001    3000       PLANT_3      3100
                            64           3001    4000       PLANT_4      3100
How can that carry out this function ?
thank you for your help !

    Hi leung,
As Mr.Rohit has mentioned it has to be done with the z table and the available user exit.
Wht we have done is.we have created no ranges in obj rv_beleg.Eg
    AA   0000000001 to 0000099999
    AB   0000100000 to 0000199999
    AC   0000200000 to 0000 299999.
Using the user exit we have created a Z table. And assignd for this ombination in the Ztable.
Plant X   Billing type A   AA
Plant Y   Billing Type A  AB
Plant Z    Billing type A  AC
Once this combination matches the appropriate invoice no range gets picked up.

  • Same number range for two different series groups?

    Dear all,
    There are two scenarios
1.Normal export under bond case, series group is 20 and number range maintained, running number is 300016
2.Another scenario, where ARE1 document generation for Deemed exp customer(already customised) , series group is 30.
But, client requirement is , for this second scenario also, system should pickup running number range of series group 20(under bond case)  as per excise legal requirement
Ie running number is for series group 20 is 300016
For the above deemed exp case (second scenario)it should pickup 300017
And again when they do under bond case(first scenario), it should pick up 300018 like that
Is it possible to maintain the same number range for two different series groups(20 and 30)?
Even if you maintain the same number range for 30, as per running number range of 20
Will the system update simultaneously the same number range for 20 and 30 series groups?
    Please suggest the way.

With two different series groups, it is not possible to have the same number range. Even if you maintain it, they will be treated independently.
Normally, you should not use different series groups if the same number range has to be used. In fact, the concept of series group has been developed to ensure that number ranges can be maintained separately.

  • Is it possible to create Order type with different number ranges-Plant wise

    Hi Experts
Client wants to get the different number ranges for the order types created in the different plants. Is there any user exit for the same.
I have assigned the order type to the different plants. And Order type is assigned to a no range. So whenever a order type is created in different plants; order types uses the same number ranges.
so with this situation one cann't know the total no. of order created within a plant.
Is there any solution for the same.
    Pease give your valuable solutions.
    Regards
    Pankaj

    Hi
Best way is to create different order types for different plants.
    like we have order types OR15 ,OR20 & OR30 for different plants 1500 ,2000 & 3000 .
you can assign different number range for different order type.
    this is simplest solution.
