Different ringtone settings in/out of holster with 6.X software?

Hi,
With my Bold and 4.X software I was able to set different ringtone settings when the phone was in and out of holster. I used this to set it to ring really loud when it was in my holster at home, but not so loud when it was in my pocket during the day.
With my new Torch and 6.X software I can't find a way to do this. Is there any place where I can make these different ring notification settings for when it is in and out of the holster? All I can find is the ability to set it to make sound or not depending on the holster, but not different sound settings as I could with 4.X software.

In Holster/Out Of Holster with different ringtones...

I recently switched from a Bold 9000 to a new Torch 9800 with the new OS 6.0. On my Bold I could set one ringtone for In Holster @ one volume and a different ringtone @ a different volume for Out Of Holster within the same profile. So far this seems impossible with the new operating system. Seems I can only set one ringtone and one vibrate for each profile. Am I missing something?

You're not missing something; that functionality - which existed on the Curve model I had - was dropped with this version of the O/S on the Bold 9900.
I want it back; setting a different ringtone and volume for my alerts when in or out of the holster was incredibly useful for me - and I can't get over how this could have been dropped.

I downloaded a ringtone ap, picked out several ringtones and downloaded them to itunes. When I synced my iphone with the computer they did not appear on my phone. It says to go to custom but I don't see that on my phone in ringtone settings. next step.

I downloaded a ringtone ap, picked out my ringtones and sent them to myself, got them in itunes and then synced my iphone. No new ringtones on my iphone. It said to look in custom, I do not have that listed under ringtones in sounds. What do I do or can I get different ringtones on my phone?

Selecting different ringtone for in holster in OS v5.0 for BlackBerry 8520

Updated yesterday to OS v5.0.
Previously in v4.7 it was possible to select a different ringtone for when the phone was out the holster and a different one for when in the Holster.
I cannot do that now with v5.0. All that I can now do is turn the ringtone off or on when in the holster but not select a different ringtone.
Is there any way of doing this like in v4.7?

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

Having Multiple Adobe PDF printers with different output settings

Hello,
My company is using Adobe Acrobat X and XI on Win 7 Pro, and we would like to create 2 separate Adobe PDF printers that have 2 different output settings. So I installed a second Adobe PDF printer using the same Adobe Converter Driver as was used to install the first one. Then, I went into Devices and Printers and I edited the printing preferences of one Adobe PDF printer, but what I found was when I changed the preferences of one printer, it automatically changes the other one as well. Is there a way around this?

Thanks for pointing me to the iTunes Folder Watch program. It looks like this will solve my immediate needs. It's a little clunky in spots, but does handle adding new files very well. And it only cost about $10 to get the fully functioning version with the automatic monitoring in the background.
I copied the iTunes library files to each account, setup a watch folder that points to the location of the iTunes library content and all the music syncs up perfectly without duplicates. I have yet to test the applications, but music, movies, TV Shows, audiobooks, and podcasts all work fine.
If anyone else is considering this product, just make sure you double check your file location in the iTune settings to make sure each account is pointing to the same location and is organizing the content in the same way or else the individual account libraries will fight against each other to organize all the content where it is configured to put it. Copying the library files isn't enough since some of these settings are in the Windows Registry.
I made this mistake at first. I had all the accounts pointing to the same folder, but one of them (the original) had the "Upgrade to iTunes Media Organization" turned on which categorizes all content into folders based on type such as music, movies, podcasts, etc. Since the others were organizing just based on artist and album this caused the accounts to try to reorganize the files when Folder Watcher would tell it there were new files to manage.
All in all, this solves most of my concerns, but I'm still surprised Apple hasen't added this natively into the iTunes product. Especially when this guy figured out how to write the software to do it and is only charging about 10 bucks to do it. Well I hope this guy makes a million bucks off his little product bacause he surely deserves it!

Repair your QuickTime.
Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight QuickTime and click CHANGE then REPAIR.

Can't Customize Multiple Contacts With Different Ringtones

I am copying this from a different Blackberry Forum sight I posted at. I can't get different ringtones for different contacts, I already got the phone calls but I want the text messages different just like I have the calls customized.
Ok, call me stupid but I think I am having the exact same problem as everyone else. I see absolutely no point in having the same ringtone for ALL text messages(or a max of 2 if you make a different profile/exception)... On the last 4 phones I have had I was able to use this function. Now days a lot of the consumers text more than they call other people (especially if they work alot). I can customize the ringtone by changing the profile(ex. Custom Tones) and making an exception(Custom Tones), but I can only do this for one person(Trevor). Yes, I realize I can add more than one person to that exception(Trevor, Mike, etc.) and still have the same ringtone(on that Custom Tones exception), but that does me no good. I don't want to have to group my friends together to the same ringtones. That makes NO Sense in the updated cellular world!
There is no way to make 20 different profiles and 20 different exceptions so that you can get 20 different ringtones for 20 people (yes all different TEXT Messages, I have all of the regular Calls customized). This is the question I would like answered by a Moderator if possible. You can do this on almost every other phone in the last couple years.
I have found out that I can make a separate EXCEPTION, and use the ACTIVE PROFILE (so it gets me the different ringtone as before, Custom Tones, but there is no way to adjust that specific person's ringtone, ***meaning other than the Custom Tones Profile***, since the Custom Phone Tune is the only thing you can change on that menu and it's phone calls only). If the phone had a Custom Text Message option under this it would work great, but it doesn't!
The only way I can see making a different text message ringtone is by setting one as MMS ringtone, one as SMS ringtone, etc. I want these all combined for EACH PERSON, like EVERY OTHER PHONE out there!
I am not dumb when it comes to technology, but this is really bugging me.

Separate Sections of a Sequence with different encoding settings

Is it possible to set different encoding settings for different parts of a Final Cut sequence? If yes, what must I do?

All I want to change is the quality setting of the h.264 codec.

All these movies start off with an intro, which needs a quality setting of 75% to look good. The rest of the screencast looks good enough with a setting of 50%.
All other parameters shall remain unchanged.

Stabilization for the project with the different video settings

If i open project with the settings for 1080p video and then add to it 720p video, how can i make stabilization for it? (When i open another video with the different sequence settings it does not allow me to make stabilization)
Is there any way of working in one sequence with the different settings of the video?

Footage that does not match the sequence setting nest first then add the Warp.

I would like to assign different ringtone notifications for texting and email, and if possible, different ringtones for each of my two email accounts. I need to see texts immediately, but not emails. Am picking up the phone 50 times a day so I don't miss a text, critical to my work. Could do this on Bb Storm, but can't figure out on Incredible. At a minimum, I would like to shutoff notification for email, and just get pinged for texts. Thanks!!

The default notification tone that you set in the Settings->Sound is for the default tone in the generic e-mail account and all other notifications. If you use the Gmail client, you can set your own personal ringtone in it's settings (Menu->Settings). In the messaging Application you can also set a custom notification sound from there as well (Menu->Settings)
As for different e-mail accounts using the same e-mail application, I don't think that is possible with the in stock app...tho I am not totally sure I haven't use it like that before.

Color management help needed for adobe CS5 and Epson printer 1400-Prints coming out too dark with reddish cast and loss of detail
System: Windows 7
Adobe CS5
Printer: Epson Stylus Photo 1400
Paper: Inkjet matte presentation paper with slight luster
Installed latest patch for Adobe CS5

After reading solutions online and trying them for my settings for 2 days I am still unable to print what I am seeing on my screen in Adobe CS5. I calibrated my monitor, but am not sure once calibration is saved if I somehow use this setting in Photoshop’s color management.
The files I am printing are photographs of dogs with lots of detail I digitally painted with my Wacom tablet in Photoshop CS5 and then printed with Epson Stylus 1400 on inkjet paper 20lb with slight luster.
My Printed images lose a lot of the detail & come out way to dark with a reddish cast and loss of detail when I used these settings in the printing window:
Color Handling: Photoshop manages color, Color management -ICM, OFF no color adjustment.
When I change to these settings in printer window: Color Handling: Printer manages color. Color management- Color Controls, 1.8 Gamma and choose Epson Standard it prints lighter, but with reddish cast and very little detail and this is the best setting I have used so far.
Based on what I have read on line, I think the issue is mainly to do with what controls are set in the Photoshop Color Settings window and the Epson Printer preferences. I have screen images attached of these windows and would appreciate knowing what you recommend I enter for each choice.
Also I am confused as to what ICM color management system to use with this printer and CS5:
What is the best ICM to use with PS CS5 & the Epson 1400 printer? Should I use the same ICM for both?
Do I embed the ICM I choose into the new files I create?
Do I view all files in the CS5 workspace in this default ICM?
Do I set my monitor setting to the same ICM?
If new file opens in CS5 workspace and it has a different embedded profile than my workspace, do I convert it?
Do I set my printer, Monitor and PS CS5 color settings to the same ICM?
Is using the same ICM for all devices what is called a consistent workflow?
I appreciate any and all advice that can be sent my way on this complicated issue. Thank you in advance for your time and kind help.
