Different S12 models?

Hi all,
When I am on the product information support site (here), and select 'Notebooks' / 'IdeaPad S12', I can select between 2 different models: "2959" and "S012".
I am planning to buy an Ion netbook and am gathering detailed information for a couple of brands and models. Now on some other websites I saw more model names:
S12 M19KTMH
S12 2959
and now on the support website I just mentioned there's an S12 S012 (although I guess that S012 is simply just the S12)
Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between these 3 models? Or are they in fact all exactly the same?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Gerben

There are three versions of the S12 with three different graphic chipsets, Intel, Via and Ion and they are all called 2959xxx. I don't know about the others you have listed but the best way to be sure is to check the specifications of the one you are looking at. The price differences will be in the graphics chip, the hard drive size, the operating system, the memory. It also seems to depend where you are buying from, the USA Lenovo site lists only the Via and Ion models...  The UK site lists only the Intel and Ion models   Lenovo Shop   & Lenovo Shop 3

  • ADF mobile: Reuse taskflows for different device models (resolutions) ?

    Hi,
    ADf 11.1.2.3.0 + mobile extension.
What's best practice to create the same mobile app for different device models (= different screen resolutions = different layout)?
I mean an app on a smartphone may use different gui components and layout than on a tablet device.
In adfmf-feature.xml the content of a feature can be either a amx page or a task flow.
Here I can add a constraint to determine e.g. the device.model and use different amx pages depending on the device model.
But how to reuse the task flow (assumtion: the taskflow is independent from the device model) and just create specific amx page per device model?
    regards
    Peter

    Replying to an old thread.
With ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4.0, to display different content views for different devices,  it is recommended that we use following property as a constraint on the content of the feature.
    Property
    Operator
    Value
    hardware.screen.diagonalSize
    more
    6
It applies this constraint on the devices which have screen size more than 6 inches. Which is applicable for the tablets.
For more details, look at the HR sample found at the following location in your JDev after installing the ADF Mobile Extension

I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S5 two months ago. I'm still unable to sync or move contacts from the phone into my 2012 Toyota Camry. I've been to the dealership to have them look at my car. It also has been tried in 2 different 2014 models. I don't know if it's a Verizon/Samsung issue but I'm quite upset about it. I would have stayed with the S4 if I had know so many issues were on the horizon. I need a fix. Please help.@

Mostly because you are not using any capital letters or paragraph returns and your post is difficult to read.

    hi,
    1. can we stack different models of switches i.e 2950 with 3750 or 2960 with 3750 etc.. ?
    2. can we stack Stackwise with Stackwise Plus switches?
    3. what is gigastacking? is it something that can be plugged in place of gbic card and help stack switches via this cable?
    thanks..

    1. can we stack different models of switches i.e 2950 with 3750 or 2960 with 3750 etc.. ?
no, you can not stack 2960s with 3750s.  You can however have different 3750 models in the same stack.
    2. can we stack Stackwise with Stackwise Plus switches?
    Yes

  • Solaris Cluster with 2 Different Storage Model?

    Hi Experts,
is it possible to use 2 different storage model in Solaris Clusters?
    Thanks,

If you mean two types of storage array, then yes, as long as each of them is supported, then the combination is also supported.

  • Load Balancing Two Different Waas Models

Is it possible to deploy two waas devices having different models? Specifically WAVE-694-K9 and
    WAVE-7541-K9? Thanks

    Hi,
I guess you questions is about having different WAAS models part of the same WCCP farm.
If that is the case, it shouldn't be an issue at all.
The only problem I would see with this is that if you have even load balancing, the less powerful device will be overloaded while there is still capacity on the other device
If you run into this, you might try to play with the WCCP mask to achieve uneven load balancing based on the devices processing powers.

  • Sales breakdown of different ipod models?

    hey guys,
does anyone know where i could find info about the sales breakdown of different ipod models in the UK?

    Thank you for your reply.
The ipod shuffle user's manual on page 4 says that "to use ipod shuffle with a windows pc you must have: itunes 5.0 or later (itunes 6.0.5 or later is recommended)".
Her disk comes with an itunes version (or so it says, I haven't got that far as to download it yet). I wondered if it would affect my songs. Thank you for letting me know that it won't.
I'm thinking that maybe installing her software on my computer is not such a good idea since it doesn't have the ability to manually monitor what will be loaded on it. Will all my songs automatically download to hers? (Sorry if I seem dense, but I only know how to run mine & I have mine set to manual control.)
I think we should just install this on her Dad's computer.
Since like I said before I don't know anything about the ipod shuffle.......will her songs all get automatically downloaded or deleted according to what she has in her library on what ever computer we actually install it to? (I hope you understood that, since I'm not sure what to actually ask yet)
As far as the email support........yes I actually did think that after spending over $300 for my ipod and whatever they spent on hers that somewhere on the Apple website that there would be a way to actually ask the company a question and get a simple answer in return. But getting an answer from you knowledgable forum members is probably better than the runaround I would get from Apple anyway. Thanks!!

  • Moving OS hard drives between Macs of different makes/models

Is it okay to move the operating system hard drive (E.g. the Boot drive) from one mac to another? What about from one model of mac (E.g. a Mac Mini) to a different model. (Mac Pro) In the PC world, this is an absolute no no due to drivers, registry issues, and other problems. However, I've spoken to a couple of mac technicians who say it's perfectly acceptable and works "flawlessly."
The reason i'm asking is because we recently built a new boot drive for one of our Mac Pros (2010 model) using a Mac Mini (2012). The tech installed the OS and all the applications using his mac mini and then moved the hard drive to the mac pro. Now we are having a bunch of weird issues with this specific mac pro such as lock ups and other glitches. We are now wondering if perhaps the issue is related to the build process used.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I'd say only if you're really lucky, but since you're having issues, you apparently weren't.
...We are now wondering if perhaps the issue is related to the build process used...
As The hatter has said, you'd need the machine-specific installer (i.e., Mac OS 10.6.4) for a 2010 Mac Pro which wasn't what was done.
However, since it looks like you're using Lion now, if you download and install the 10.7.5 combo updater,  a good portion of the operating system will be replaced and customized for the Mac Pro. You can try that to see if the various glitches are cured. There are similar combo updaters for Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion which can accomplish pretty much the same thing.

  • Keyboard keys different between models?

I replaced the top case on a black Macbook 2.16 Core 2 Duo model, as the keyboard and trackpad were not being recognized and were not working. I had a white top case from a broken Macbook 2.0 Core 2 Duo which works okay. Finally a working keyboard and trackpad!
I gave this Macbook to my wife, who wants to use a non-English keyboard layout. I've swapped keys on lots of different Apple portables, so it's something I'm familiar with.
The problem, though, is that I've found that they keys on 3 different Macbook keyboards snap on in a different way than on the keyboard that is now installed on my wife's Macbook.
Specifically, there are 2 small hooks on the back of the keys that hook onto the scissor mechanism under the keys. On the 3 different Macbook keyboards, these 2 small hooks are on the LEFT side of the keys (as you look at the keyboard), whereas on the keyboard on my wife's Macbook, the 2 small hooks are at the TOP of the keys.
In order to install the keys on the keyboard, I have to place them SIDEWAYS. Which makes using the keyboard a bit strange, to say the least.
Any idea when Apple started changing how the keys are installed on the keyboards on Macbooks?

  • Different serial/model numbers in firmware than on actually device

    Hello,
This issue has me perplexed. I bought a iPod touch 5th gen and recently needed to get the digitizer fixed. I got my iPod back and can't get it recognized on pc partially (meaning I can plug it in and it charges slowly but thats all it does). Upon further investigation, I noticed that the serial and model number displayed in my iPod settings are completely different from the ones noted on the back of my iPod touch. It also is different from the one that is stored in my iTunes account for recognized products that I own. I am at my wits end on this and appreciate any guidance that could be offered on this issue.

The repairs were done through the extra warranty that I purchased. So I am not really sure where it was shipped to, all I know is that the claim was made through Asurion. However, after proper uninstalling and reinstalling of iTunes, the iPod is now operating normal. I am now trying to figure out why the serial and model numbers differ in Settings from what is printed on the back of the device. But for all intensive purposes, the device recognition issue has been fixed. I was trying to login yesterday to reply, but I guess the forums were under routine maintenance. Thank you for the reply.

  • What Are the Different Versions, Models, etc. of iPhones?

    Hey-
I want to get some gifts for friends with iPhones. One just got the latest one, and one has the first one that came out but just got it too. if I want to get a gel type of case does it matter that I know which iPhone they have? How many different versions/generations are there?
    Thanks!

There are 3 models... Original, 3G and 3GS. The Original case and the 3G/3GS case can be different. 3G and 3GS use the same case. I personally wouldn't recommend a gel case because they offer little protection when dropped and are hard to get in/out of a pocket.
