Different sound/volume on all music dowlnoads

i have 1 gb of music dowloaded on my ipod shuffle. some from itunes purchases and others from personal cd's. how come the sound is different for each song? I have to turn up or turn down the volume with just about each song, any one have this problem? is their some way to get the sound the same for all the music?

You will need to go via your computer's iTunes - to get music into the Music app you either need to download it directly on the iPad from the iTunes store app, or sync it from your computer's iTunes

Pianist Application Controls Sound Volume of All Applications

Unfortunately the universal ipod touch volume is not the same as the application volume. I can't change the volume of any applications but the pianist one. It has a volume option. When i change the volume there though it changes all my applications volume. Why does it do this?

I can confirm this is NOT working, nor has it been since this version of Skype was released. It works in Skype for Windows 7, but that is the desktop version. It also works in the desktop version on Windows 8 and 8.1, but this forum is for the "modern" version that is downloaded from the Windows Store. I have tried this on at least six computers and it fails 100% of the time. I tried it prior to posting this message (5 minutes ago) to ensure that it had not been recently fixed and it has not. Perhaps there is something unique to your setup that makes it work for you while it fails for everyone else, but speaking for myself and everyone I know that has used this version of Skype the issue remains.
The OP even mentioned that they tried this method and it did not work as expected.

Different sound volumes on purchased songs?

I purchased a few songs the other day, including "Six Days on the Road" by Dave Dudley. The other songs had a pretty consistent volume, but this song was WAY DOWN. If I were to burn a CD, I'd have to turn the volume way up just for that song, and then get blasted by the next song if I forget to turn the volume down.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Did Apple's re-digitizing of the song have anything to do with it?

The only thing I can think to do on purchased songs, is to open up Get Info on them, go to the Options Tab, and tweak the Volume Adjustment.
You can double the volume or halve it there.
Also, on the Summary pane you can look at he Volume level for the song.

Sound volume on 10.6!@#%^ is messed up.

Hello. I just upgraded to 10.6, fresh install on a Black MacBook. Everytime I turn on the laptop the sound volume is all the way up, even though it wasn't when I turned it off. Is this a known issue? How can I fix it?

If you open console. Applications > Utilities > Console
and in the console messages do a search for the word NVRAM
Do you see any messages that look like the one below?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

My pre has volume up all the way, but the sound is still quiet

well i sent my first phone into palm because the speaker blew out on it, so i sent it in and i just got the phone back like an hour ago and i put my music on it and the sound was soo quiet...i played the ringtones with the volume up all the way and it was no better, everything that came out of that speaker was quiet and i could only hear it if my ear was like less than a foot away from the phone, has anyone had this problem before or do i need to send it in again

Did you do a restart on the device? What about a partial erase? You still may need to return the device due to that the speaker or the sounds are to quite but I want to be sure this is not an OS issue.

Music from CDs that is on my iPod won't transfer to my iTunes library on a different computer I used to use but all music bought from iTunes will? How do I fix this?

In the past to get music from CDs onto my iTunes library and onto my iPod was all easy and fine, as you would know if you have done such a thing before. I used to use a different laptop for all my music stuff to the desktop I have to use now as the other one is broken. It is an authorised computer on my iTunes, so my issue has got nothing to do with that. When I got this desktop (it is quite an old one, if that makes any difference), i had to download iTunes and put all my music into my library to back it up.
However, all music that I had bought physically that is currently on my iPod (CDs) WON'T transfer into my new library on the desktop, but all music that I had bought digitally (iTunes) WILL transfer.
This has led to about 300 missing songs in my library and means I can't transfer all of my music onto a different device (as I am trying to transfer all my music onto an iPhone 3).
I have tried countless things. All of that "File > Devices > Transfer purchases" stuff WILL. NOT. WORK. I tried copying the music into a file on the desktop and then adding said file into the library, but it won't let me paste any music.
If someone were to help me in transferring the music I so dearly love then I would be eternally grateful.

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.
Try a google search or search the Microsoft site.

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!

Check to see if the "silent" switch is turned on. This is either the hardware switch next to the volume control or a software switch on the "recent apps" tray depending on how you have your iPad configured (Settings > General).
Too see the software switch on the "recent apps" tray double-click the Home button and swipe the tray to the right.

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

I have an IPOD Touch 3rd Gen. The volume while playing music will drop down and then right back up on some songs, all intemittenly. What causes this?

I have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen. There is a problem with the volume dropping down and then right back up, intermittenly on various songs. If you rewind past that spot, it will not do it again. It is not always the same songs. What can I do to correct this issue? I have tried a hard reboot on the iPod and the problem is still there.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings

Checked the volume of all the games individually and they all work fine but no sound! All other sounds work fine.I have the 4th generation ipad
