Different Systems, same Configuration in ID, but different Result?!

Hi guys,
i´m working on a Idoc to File Scenario, which works in our development environment (DXI) but fails in our test environment (QXI)
first of all some information about our system landscape.
We are using 3 XI Systems for development (DXI), test (QXI) and production (PXI).
For some reason we don´t have one central SLD, but 3 SLD (one for each XI System)
So the Repository content could be transported via File, the configuration in ID is environment specific (not transported) and have to be maintained manually.
As I sad above the scenario is Idoc to File, more exactly it is 1 Idoc to 2 files.
The result files of one idoc are used to have the "same" file name pattern for example
file 1 = file2_TIMESTAMP.idoc
file 2 = file1_TIMESTAMP.eds
The order of the files is important. file 1 should be created first, file 2 afterwards.
in this pattern TIMESTAMP is the timestamp should be the same for both file, so I use the timestamp of the XI message of the idoc
(=> StreamTransformationConstants.TIME_SENT)
the content of the file differs. While file 2 contains one text line with some control information (static and some payload data), contains the file 1 the idoc xml, but with a
different codepage (ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-8)
To get the wright content and filename, 2 java mappings are used, that are referenced in interface determination. furthermore the order of the files should be maintained, so that file 1 (idoc xml) should be created first, and file 2 (control information) afterwards
(filename mapping is done via Dynamic configuration)
As I sad at the beginning the whole scenario works fine for development environment, but fails for test.
In test the 2 files are created with the correct filename, but the file content of the file 1 is wrong. It contains the same content then the file 2 (control information)
when i have a look at the apap monitoring sxmb_moni the message content after java mapping is correct for both files.
but in message monitoring (RWB) the file 1 has the same content as file 2, which is incorrect.
Directory content of development and test are the same.
why is the result different?
anybody has an idea.
This error drives me crazy
Kind regards
Jochen

Hi Suddha,
thanks for your help.
obviously something like that must be the reason for that behaviour.
I compared the audit logs of a succesful message (DXI) and a failed message (QXI)
there was only one difference between this to messages.
In the QXI there was a entry like "process the underlying message of mulit-message-ID xxxxxx"
I have searched both the RWB and the integration server for thismsg-ID, but without success.
I forgot one detail.
There is one difference between development environment and test.
In test and production we have two java nodes. In development we only have one single java node.
Could this be of any influence on a scenario like that?
Suddhasatta Guha wrote:
Could this be a problem while retrieving the message from the Receive queue...............the application retrieving the wrong message before delivering it to the File Channel
Since the IDoc message is splitted in the Interface Determination Step - is there any Parent Message ID to this individual messages?
In RWB the messages from the Integration Engine have a reference and a parent msg id, but the adapter engine message don´t.
In this point there is no difference between DXI and QXI.
maybe somebody have another idea how to get more information about this error
Kind regards
Jochen

  • Same material and customer but different prices for different regions

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario, wherein material and customer are same but different ship-to-parties.  Prices vary for the material for different regions.
    Kindly suggest how to maintain condition records in this scenario. I have tested for a material for different regions but with the same prices which is working fine, but now I have to do this with different prices.
    Your suggestion will be very helpful as this is very important in this business.
    Thanks and Regards

    I have right now only four key combinations for PR00;
    1. Customer/Material with release status.
    2. Pricelist Category/currency/Material with release status.
    3. Material with release status.
    4. Price group/Material.
    Can this be done with the 2nd Key Combination?
    Item data; Sales B tab shows Price List as Retail and Wholesale; here we have only Wholesale Business. Kindly suggest.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Same 4MEM/9/40000000 , but different aka (hopefully) the complete guide to this error code and changing RAM

    Hello world,
    finally, after having been reading here for years I decided to break silence and join the most venerable Apple discussions community!
    First of all, I'm no native speaker, so if I at one point don't express myself correctly, I'm sorry. If you don't understand please ask what exactly I meant since it's very important that we know exactly what each one of us is talking about, thank you.
    Important, too:
    I know there are a lot of posts with this topic and I sifted through a lot of them but none of them captures exactly what my problem or rather my questions are and unfortunately in a lot of them there is no real feedback from the original poster how it all worked out or not. So, I intend this thread to be that one helpful thread which more or less concentrates the knowledge of the other threads, where people with similar problems can go to in future.
    I ask one thing of you: Please DON'T answer with just one phrase à la "U got bad RAM, send it back" or "Contact Apple Customer Support Service whatever thingy" without explaining why this would be the only viable option (because I think it is not, at least at the moment).
    All the questions I 'd like answered are green, for you to not lose track. I hope this becomes a good discussion so everyone of us can learn a lot!
    Following problem:
    Initial situation:
    My Computer: MacBookPro 8.2, early 2011, 15", 2,2 GHz i7; Mavericks 10.9.5    (yet without this bash fix but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
           - Upgraded RAM from onboard 4 (2 x 2) GB to the "unofficially" possible 16 (2 x 8) GB
    Ordered RAM on Amazon.de with the right Specs: 204 pin DDR3 SO-DIMM (1333 MHz, PC3-10600S, CL9),
    Manufacturer: CSX (http://www.csx-memory.com , while it's maybe not the most renown seller, it was described on another website as reliable )
        HERE (hope the link doesn't  change):               http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0084SH6WA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8 &psc=1
           - Installed it, booted Mac without problem, what does System Profiler say? I have full 16 GB   1600 MHz   Memory installed
    - Obviously sent me the "wrong" RAM (or can System Profiler be wrong??), funny thing: It works,
         --> after a LOT of research checked here http://guides.macrumors.com/Buying_RAM      my i7 is 2720QM, so supports it, lucky me
       Btw, if i go to About this Mac > more information > memory,  the Text there even says it can hold 1600 MHz, has this been written there like this all along?!
    - Which RAM do I have installed exactly now? since the sticker on it showed the originally ordered Specs.., moreover how do I determine the CAS latency of my installed RAM?
    Crashes:
    Didn't really have any, except..... well,
    - In some instances Firefox (I think 32.02. or sth., the latest Version at this moment) reproduceably keeps crashing, for example right now, can't even start it,  that's why I can't tell you the exact version, maybe I edit that later. Safari so far hasn't crashed.
    - Once I had a System Crash, but it happened when I wanted to reboot after updating the firmware of a hooked on external WD drive to be usable again as time machine backup volume under mavericks (without endangering my data).
    The RAM seems to work fine; for example when I was doing a long overdue backup of 77GB on said drive, Activity Monitor showed a RAM Usage of  15,99 GB and nothing crashed. Only the fans were powering at some point but i thought that normal..
    - Actually produced two more Crashes when trying to run Apple Hardware Test (AHT), the one on the second disc that originally came with my Computer (probably made for OS 10.6.x    x= 6 or sth., don't remember which version my MBP was shipped with), which leads to
    Tests:
    Memtest86
    - I put Memtest86 v.5.01 on a USB Stick and bootet from that and let it test "the whole" RAM
    (btw Do you know how you can put the bootable USB image of Memtest only to one (of a few) partition of my 32 GB USB Stick? The instructions (command line stuff) only let me put it on the whole Stick which makes it otherwise useless as a volume; ok here I'm not sure if I'm using the correct technical terms....)
    - I let Memtest86 do 3 and a half passes with one pass consisting of 10 different tests, so it took over 8 hours!
    --> RESULT:   0   (in words: zero)  ERRORS,
    --> That is why I think my RAM is ok, because I think (think NB, don't know) Memtest86 does good testing,or do you know      better?
    AHT
    - After that, out of curiosity, I tried to run AHT from the DVD with said results, then I ran AHT (also called Apple Diagnostics under Mavericks) from the Internet, this worked, but produced the famous 4MEM/9/40000000 Error Code,
    first one for example was: 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x8477df98, the last part after the colon is variable, but stays the same in one instance, i.e. if you repeat the AHT directly. If you restart the Computer an rerun the test then it changes, e.g. some other it showed 0x84770a18
    - I did the short and the extended version, it took ca. 2-3  and 16 min respectively till producing the Error Code (only 1 at a time)
    - Did it 4 times or so; once in short/simple version it showed no error, the rest the 4MEM/9 s.
    some example of a simple test, results taken out of the System Profiler Window (fehlgeschlagen= failed):
    Apple Diagnostics:
    The usual self test on start up is always passed (bestanden), see for example:
    What other than bad RAM can 4MEM/9/40000000 mean? I hope there are a few tech and computer savvy people around this place who know what they are talking about and can give me a good answer, or at least help to narrow it down. Actually I also think, the RAM sticks are not loose, but before I screw open my MBP again I would like to explore the other possibilities.
    Is it probable that this Error Code has got sth. to do with me installing a) 16 GB of b) 1600 MHz RAM, or maybe with CAS Latency (i don't know the actual CL of this RAM)? and if so, is it only because some Apple Programmer/Developer/Technician wrote some values in a list on the System Level, so it doesn't accept RAM it would normally work with?? If it works fine and is faster, why change it?
    Final Words:
    I repeat, apart from the Firefox crashes, my Mac seems to be working fine, at least I don't notice anything, (well, that disk utility and System Profiler (or whatever it's called nowadays) sometimes take time to start up is nothing special i think, is it?)
    But now I'm scared that perhaps there could be a future danger for my computer I do not foresee...I hope you can at least exclude that.
    So I'd rather spend my time starting a discussion here with people who don't have to abide by some corporate policy (right?) than having the hassle of repeatedly screwing my Mac open and shut  and doing expensive calls with all the companies involved who won't tell me anything more in depth than "we have to send it there, do more tests and you get it back then".
    I hope that this thread won't rot in the wastelands of unanswered posts and that maybe all the people who take part in it learn sth. and all the people seeking help in future will find it here.
    Thanks for your patience!
    Waiting for your greatly appreciated answers,

  • Same material and vendor, but different prices

    Hello All,
    I want to keep two different prices for a material that is supplied by a single Vendor. The price of the material will be different when supplied by Sea and when suppplied by Air. hence, there is need to maintain 2 difffernt prices based on how the material is shipped.
    I had tried it with Subrange, but I have to make 'VSR' field manadatory in PO creation, which I want to avoid. I had tried with pricing conditions based on shipping instructions, but could not find 'shipping instructions' field in any condition table.
    Can some one help me on this?
    Regards,
    Amit G

    create freight condition and accordingly value ( by sea or by air) would be loaded on inventory. what you will achieve by maintaining different prices? MAP would be adjust accordingly.
    or if in inventory if you want to differtiate thet then activate split valuation and create valuation type as per shipping instructions.

  • Same users email address, but different domain

    I would like to create with EMC a user who already exist in the AD. The difference is I want him on a different domain.
    eg [email protected] and [email protected]
    Is it possible to do this with EMC? If yes, could you please explain how?
    Thanks in advance to all.
    Juan
    JS

    Yes this is possible in one of 2 ways.  You will also need to make sure that the domain is listed under accepted domains in the Organizational Settings --> Hub Transport and that you are authaoritative for it.
    The first way is in EMC, locate the user's mailbox and go to properties --> e-mail addresses tab and at the bottom uncheck the box for update e-mail addresses.  You can then type in the address that you would like the user to have, and set to primary
    if desired.
    The second way, if you have the need for more than one user or an automated approach is to create or edit an existing e-mail address policy to have that domain and the address format that you are specifying.

  • [Solved] Different WM/DE configurations on different partitions?

    I installed SLiM in order to log into and try out different DE/WM combinations (those that require a little more configuration to look/behave how I want).  There does seem to be some issue with trying to create completely different environments and configuring programs to run differently with logging into each.  I want to completely separate these environments so that I am building each from scratch like my initial configuration/installation.  I have a 1TB harddrive and will probably never be anywhere close to full so I got the idea that maybe i could partition my harddrive to each run a different configuration separately while still having access to the base programs that need to be accessible to each regardless of look/behavior.  Can i compartmentalize each configuration using the existing file configuration and leveraging that interaction to create what I want?  Or would it be beneficial in learning how everything interacts to separate them with partitions?  furthermore, would it provide any real benefit to do so and would I be able to load into these different environments via SLiM if they were separated this way?  I am interested in doing some intense hacking on it to accomplish this if need be but if it's not doable or just dumb/ineffecient w/e I am more interested in a better solution if you guys can supply one.
    I guess it is clear my level of understanding in general with how the OS accesses configurations and files is pretty low but I also know that most of you guys are advanced users and I was hoping you could provide some insight into my general reasoning and questions above.

    Yes, but only if the programs you are configuring keep their config files in /home/user (if a user changes a config file anywhere but his own /home folder, all users will be affected).

  • Is a one server with two system IDs configuration valid when using MSCS

    As the last step in my upgrade from BW30b to BI70 I need to introduce Java.
    My newly upgraded ABAP BI70 system is running on a Microsoft Cluster and it was my intention to add Java as a separate system(SID).  When doing this it appeared I would be able to add the two systems to the same cluster group by selecting "Support of multiple SAP systems in one MSCS cluster" but this resulted in errors and I have found note 967123 which tells me not to chose this option when using MSCS.
    It appears my options are a separate server all together or an ABAP+Java install which limits our upgrade options on each stack.
    If anyone has found a work around for this I would be very interested.
    Thank you

    Hi Helmut,
    Not sure how the D-Link works, but it looks like it has Wireless 802 also from the specs, so the Ethernet & Wireless would each have an IP & different MAC addies.
    I always thought one Mac address can have only one IP address.
    Nope, you can prove this to yourself on your Mac, In Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations, highlight say Ethernet, Copy, give that another IP Manually if you wish...

  • Is it possible to install two SAP system with same SID but different instance numbers on one host?

    Is it possible to install two SAP system with same system ID (SID) but different instance numbers on one host?
    If yes, then how?
    If no, then why?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sarim

    Is it possible to install two SAP system with same system ID (SID) but different instance numbers on one host?
    Yes, it is possible. If one is CI (PAS) and the second one is an AS (AAS). In this case there will be only one database.
    If you are talking about two separate SAP systems with separate databases (Eg: A BI and an ECC) with the same SID then the problem will be with the database (Eg: Oracle)
    The database will be installed under /oracle/SID/112_64 (ORACLE_HOME) unless one database is running on 10 G and in that case the ORACLE_HOME will be /oracle/SID/102_64
    The next issue will be with the SAP file systems like /sapmnt/SID
    The most important problem will be with the switch to the sidadm and orasid users and the conflicts there. If there is a need to stop one of the SAP systems and if you do a switch to sidadm and issue a stopsap command which system will be stopped ?
    These are few of the many problems I can think of.
    So if we are talking about two separate systems with their own databases I would rule out the possibility of having two systems with the same SID.

  • Two audio interfaces but different uses in one system

    Hi,
    I have already got an audio interface for recording and run smoothly.
    Recently I get another audio interface (M-Audio Firewire 410). I want to add it to my system as a standalone mixer in which the outputs will be connected to 2 another active monitors, the inputs of this "mixer" are connected to audio outputs of a DVD player.
    So, I can control the DVD volume by the knob on the Firewire 410 and by the M-Audio software in my Mac but my original audio set up doesn't change.
    I mean, the DVD audio signal pass to the Firewire 410 then output to the newly added monitors only,my original monitors will not be affected (no DVD sound).
    At the same, if I play mp3 in i-tunes, the music will output to my original monitors only.
    Just like two independent audio set up in one system, is it possible ?
    Thanks for any help in advance.
    Cheers,
    edtayin

    You need to give complete details of the audio, exactly what is it, how many tracks, what's the channel configuration?
    Can you post screen shots of what you're doing and what happens?
    In expanding audio components in the timeline I can see what looks like an extra audio clip married to this one on a different track which has no signal, but I can't delete that additional audio clip.
    Let's see this and the channel configuration in the audio inspector.

    i set up my new computer using the apple ID i always use, and then later migrated all my files from my old mac book to the same new one, but under a different user (same apple ID). how do i consolidate the two users on my new mac book?

    Well if you use the Finder Go menu to Computer, a window opens up double click on your boot drive and then on Users folder, open the other user folder and open Public and drop your files into DropBox
    When you do this it will copy them and change the permissions and user assigned to it, so log into the other user and place them into your respective normal folders.
    Once you have all your files over and don't need the old user, use System Preferences > Accounts to delete it if you wish, however it's good two Admin accounts on the machine in case something bad happens in the other. Some people for security reasons on use a Standard account for most uses and a emergency Admin account.
    One can still do most Admin things in Standard user.

  • Same query at same time, but different execution plans from two schemas

    Hi!
    We just had some performance problems in our production system and I would like to ask for some advice from you.
    We had a select-query that was run from USER1 on SCHEMA1, and it ran a table scan on a huge table.
    Using session browser in TOAD I copied the Sql-statement, logged on SCHEMA1 and ran the same query. I got a different execution plan where I avoided the table scan.
    So my question is:
    How is it possible that the same query get different execution plans when running in two different schemas at the same time.
    Some more information:
    The user USER1 runs "alter session set current_schema=SCHEMA1;" when it logs on. Besides that it doesn't do anything so session parameter values are the same for USER1 and SCHEMA1.
    SCHEMA1 is the schema owning the tables.
    ALL_ROWS is used for both USER1 and SCHEMA1
    Our database:
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    CORE     9.2.0.8.0     Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
    Anybody has some suggestions to why I experience different execution plan for the same query, run at the same time, but from different users?

    Thanks for clarification of the schema structure.
    What happens if instead of setting the current session schema to SCHEMA1, if you simply add the schema name to alle tables, views and other objects inside your select statement?
    As in select * from schema1.dual;I know that this is not what you want eventually, but it might help to find any misleading objects.
    Furthermore it is not clear what you meant with: "avoided a table scan".
    Did you avoid a full table scan (FTS) or was the table completely removed from the execution plan?
    Can you post both plans?

  • LinkedHashMap problem (Same key but different value)

    Dear Friends,
    There is problem in LinkedHashMap for same key but different values.
    I want both values of same key as Output.
    Plz help me from an example code & it's output
    LinkedHashMap<Object, LinkedList<Object>> linkhash = new LinkedHashMap<Object, LinkedList<Object>>();
    LinkedList<Object> ll6 = new LinkedList<Object>();
              LinkedList<Object> ll7 = new LinkedList<Object>();
              LinkedList<Object> ll9 = new LinkedList<Object>();
    objectName="Listitem";
              ll6.add("id\tlisti");
              ll6.add("tag\tlistcell");
              ll6.add("tag\tlistcell");
              linkhash.put(objectName, ll6);
              System.out.println("List is "+linkhash);
              objectName="Listcell";
              ll7.add("id\tlistc");
              ll7.add("label\tCEO");
              linkhash.put(objectName, ll7);
              System.out.println("List is "+linkhash);
              objectName="Listcell";
              ll9.add("id\tlistc1");
              ll9.add("label\tNKC");
              linkhash.put(objectName, ll9);
              System.out.println("List is "+linkhash);
    output is
    List is {Listitem=[id     listi, tag     listcell, tag     listcell]}
    List is {Listitem=[id     listi, tag     listcell, tag     listcell], Listcell=[id     listc, label     CEO]}

  • Two methods with same name but different return type?

    Can I have two methods with same name but different return type in Java? I used to do this in C++ (method overloading or function overloading)
    Here is my code:
    import java.io.*;
    public class Test{
    public static void main(String ar[]){
    try{
    //I give an invalid file name to throw IO error.
    File file = new File("c:/invalid file name becasue of spaces");
    FileWriter writer = new FileWriter(file ,true);
    writer.write("Test");
    writer.close();
    } catch (IOException IOe){
         System.out.println("Failure");
    //call first method - displays stack trace on screen
         showerr(NPe);
    //call second method - returns stack trace as string
            String msg = showerr(NPe);
            System.out.println(msg);
    } // end of main
    public static void showerr(Exception e){
         StringWriter sw = new StringWriter();
         PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(sw);
         e.printStackTrace(pw);
         try{
         pw.close();
         sw.close();
         catch (IOException IOe){
         IOe.printStackTrace();
         String stackTrace = sw.toString();
         System.out.println("Null Ptr\n" +  stackTrace );
    }//end of first showerr
    public static String showerr(Exception e){
         StringWriter sw = new StringWriter();
         PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(sw);
         e.printStackTrace(pw);
         try{
         pw.close();
         sw.close();
         catch (IOException IOe){
         IOe.printStackTrace();
         return sw.toString();
    }//end of second showerr
    } // end of class
    [\code]

    Overloading is when you have multiple methods that have the same name and the same return type but take different parameters. See example
    public class Overloader {
         public String buildError(Exception e){
              java.util.Date now = new java.util.Date() ;
              java.text.DateFormat format = java.text.DateFormat.getInstance() ;
              StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer() ;
              buffer.append(format.format(now))
                   .append( " : " )
                   .append( e.getClass().getName() )
                   .append( " : " )
                   .append( e.getMessage() ) ;
              return buffer.toString() ;
         public String buildError(String msg){
              java.util.Date now = new java.util.Date() ;
              java.text.DateFormat format = java.text.DateFormat.getInstance() ;
              StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer() ;
              buffer.append(format.format(now))
                   .append( " : " )
                   .append( msg ) ;
              return buffer.toString() ;
         public String buildErrors(int errCount){
              java.util.Date now = new java.util.Date() ;
              java.text.DateFormat format = java.text.DateFormat.getInstance() ;
              StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer() ;
              buffer.append(format.format(now))
                   .append( " : " )
                   .append( "There have been " )
                   .append( errCount )
                   .append( " errors encountered.")  ;
              return buffer.toString() ;
    }Make sense ???

  • Multiple entries in ARD with same ip, but different ports?

    I always learn so much from these forums...thanks to all of you who take the time to answer.
    I established 5900/3283 for my primary mac (mac 1) behind my router at home and then configured port forwarding to have a public port of 15900 mapped to the secondary machine (mac 2) at 5900. I have dyndns set up in my router and when connecting from the outside with ARD to the dns name without specifying the port, it connects to mac 1 without problem and reports mac 1 as the name in ARD. Great, no problem.
    When I add the 15900 port to the dns name, ARD still shows the mac 1 as the name, but connects to mac 2. Can I fix this to correctly reflect the name of Mac 2? Also, it does not seem possible to have two clients in the ARD list with the same ip address, but different ports. Can this be fixed? Lastly, how do I connect 15900 and 13283 ports in one listing for the port forwarded mac, i.e. how do I enter xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:15900 and xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13283?
    Thanks,
    ed

    And it's still impossible if they all have the same external IP. The whole stroy? See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1321008&tstart=0
    On option is to setup a VPN(=Virtual Private Network) as described in the thread I mentioned
