Different view on hierarchy between rsa1 and rsecadmin

Hi togther,
i've got the following problem and I don't why it appears and how to solve it.
I've created a hierarchy for an infoobject in the rsa1, all notes are characteristic nodes. The hierarchy tables seems to be
OK. The representation of the hierarchy looks ok.
When I want to use this hierarchy in the authorisation maintenance, all notes with childs appears 2 times:
In the details the 2 notes looks like:
Correct Entry:
1. Name  Nodename Infoobject
   Name  0001 ZIFCM014
Wrong entry:
2. Name Nodename Infoobject
    Name  0001
For example:
Representation in RSA1
Root
     Node1
          Node2
          Node3
    Node4
         Node5
         Node6
Representation in rsecadmin
Root
     Root (no Infoobject is assigned)
     Node1
           Node1 (no infoobject is assigned)
          Node2
          Node3
   Node4
          Node4 (no infoobject is assigned)
          Node5
          Node6
If the hierarchy is used in a query, the user can select the wrong entries.
Maybe one of you has an idea, how to solve a problem.
King regards
Lars

Hi Emmanuel,
it's not a problem with the query, I expect it's a problem with the representation of the hierarchy.
Different view on the hierarchy between the transaction rsecadmin and the rsa1.
Kind regards

  • Different display aspect ratios between Mac and PC

    I am working with some NTSC DV .mov files (720x480). When I view them in OS X Lion (Quicktime 10.1), the Quicktime Movie Inspector shows the video correclty at 4:3 Aspect Ratio with the correct dimensions of 640x480 (using square pixels).
    However, when I open the same video in Windows 7 using Quicktime 7.7.2, It shows the video as 720x480 (I guess it is interpreting the pixesls as square instead of 0.9091). Also, on the pc, there are black bars on the left and right margins. These don't appear on the mac.
    Any ideas about why these are being interpreted differently by Quicktime on OS X and Windows?
    Thanks.

    I assure you that I can open the same file from an external drive with my Windows PC or my Mac and get the above results. I have over 500 of these videos, and they all behave the same way.
    And I assure you that the files are not the same if the file display internals were chagned by your copy work flow.
    I did discover in QT 7 that if I go to the "Presentation" tab in the "Show Movie Properties", that I can set the "Conform aperture to:" to "Clean" and it sets the movie to 640x480 and removes the black bars.
    Underscan issues are separate from aspect ratio issues. They can be eliminated by masking or cropping along with the re-scaling—the latter of which I've have been pointing out would correct your 720x480 (3:2 aspect ratio) to 640x480 (4:3 aspect ratio) which was the original title subject of your topic.
    I believe this is the difference.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4265
    All NTSC SD DV content is encoded 720x480 matrix content whether the aspect ratio is 4:3 or 16:9. To properly trim and scale the content as described by this article, the file must contain a valid setting flagging whether the original content was recoded with a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio. This has yet to be proven to be the case of your copied file which the media info window states is now playing as a simple non-anamorphic 720x480 whereas your current example reads as a simple non-anamorphic 640x480 file. In most cases this does not matter if the source content was 4:3 aspect. However, any file with a "lost" flag setting will be treated as 4:3 aspect file whether the original content was recorded as 4:3 or 16:9 so there is a potential for problems here.

  • Hierarchy in RSA1 and cargo to the SEM BCS

    Dear Friends
    If I create a hierarchy in RSA1 in BW and loads it into the SEM BCS hierarchy I can use is to Consolidation?
    tks Regards

    When a hierarchy is created in BW for BCS purposes it must be synchronized into BCS via program UGMDSY20. However it may not be complete enough for BCS purposes as BW is for reporting and BCS needs additional information for cons group hierarchies. For example, BCS needs period and year of first consolidation. Therefore you can synchronize BW to BCS but then update BCS after the synchorization is complete.

  • Is different tabbing order behavior between Custom and Automatic order a known issue?

    Good morning,
    I'm trying to debug a tabbing order issue where tabbing jumps over the instances of a repeating subform added at runtime only to return to them at the end of the tabbing sequence.
    Is this a know issue? If so, has it been fixed in newer version of Reader or Designer? I'm 98% sure this used to work before we installed service pack 1 for LC Designer ES. Here are the product versions currently used:
    LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.1.4029.1.523496
    Adobe Reader 9.4.0
    Additional Information
    The hierarchy view looks like so (omitting fields for simplicity purposes):
    form1
         Subform1 (repeats)
         AddButton (button adding instances of Subform1)
         Subform3
    tabbing result after adding instances of Subform1:
    1. Subform1[0]
    2. AddButton[0]
    3. Subform3[0]
    4. Subform1[1]
    5. Subform1[2]
    expected results:
    1. Subform1[0]
    2. Subform1[1]
    3. Subform1[2]
    4. AddButton[0]
    5. Subform3[0]
    I built a simplified version of the form to isolate the source of the problem and noticed that I can reproduce the problem only when tabbing order is set to 'Custom'. The 'Automatic' order works fine. However most of the forms we're working on uses Custom order.
    I've tried removing the 'operation' tag in the XML Source as it sometimes fixes issues however it didn't this time. Using script to set focus on the exit event is currently considered but not ideal. It does not handle backward tabbing and will need to be manually removed later when forms are migrated to a newer version of ES/Reader.

    Yes, that behaviour is as expected. Out of order logging affords some performance improvements, particularly on machines with many CPUs.
    In iWS 6.0, you can set buffers-per-file="1" on the Init fn="flex-init" line to force iWS to log accesses in order.

  • Analytic View join issue between TIMESTAMP and DATE formats

    I have a fact table in my data foundation that has a TIMESTAMP date that i am trying to join with to my calendar table that has  a DATE format .  I am unable to query this view after creating it and it appears to be because of the data type differences.  Is there a way to convert when joining? i can not seem to find a way to do this

    Yes, you can use a generated always statement to create a join predicate and join against that in the view.
    Or you can join against the M_TIME_DIMENSION table in an attribute view to convert.
    Or you can create a calculated column and do a union.
    Depending on the requirements, one of these will be the best fit.

    First, don't hang onto the hope that next year's MBP won't have an optical drive; instead, you'd be advised to purchase a 2011 MacBook Air, which doesn't have an optical drive but relies on SDD. If you need a CD/DVD drive, you can get that separately, if you need. The latest Air has received better reviews than anything else in the Apple lineup.
    I'm not an expert on the different brand of keys available. But you'll want to make sure the color is an exactly match to the model. Replacing thes keys is relatively inexpensive but tedious, you might do well to email sellers to guarantee the color and fit.

    Welcome to the world of complicated Oracle Application queries. Didn't fully understand your question, so a few guesses -
    I think that you are asking how to make your query faster? I would reference the FAQ section on how to post a question regarding performance.
    Your title indicates you want to understand the relationship between tables and views. In general, Oracle Applications uses views for 2 reasons - to join data from multiple tables for display, and to differentiate data from different organizations. (I am still on 11i and have heard organizations are handled differently in 12 so I can't speak to that for sure).
    To understand the relationship between tables in a view, you can access the view's source code, either through a development tool such as PL/SQL Developer or TOAD (I'm guessing Oracle's tool does this also, but have never used it), or by querying the source from the dba_source table.
    select * from dba_source where name = (name of view) and type = 'VIEW' order by line;without the ( ) just the view name, in all capital letters i.e. , 'GL_JE_LINES_V'
    Good luck!

    Hi All,
    I would like to know difference between implemenation and time lines for MM as mentioned below.
    How the implementation differs between BW and BI , Is BI takes more time for implementing MM module  than on BW?
    Thanks in advanced. (Full points will be awarded)

    Hi Timo,
    Thanks for response!
    But as i read from the following url: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/apirefs.1111/e10653/oracle/jbo/ViewObject.html, the setQueryTimeOut(int timeOutMills), the timeOut is mentioned in milliseconds. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    and i have overriden the executeQuery() method in the View Object Impl class as shown below:
    public void executeQuery() {
    Map sessionScope = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope();
    sessionScope.put("MyQuery", this);
    try {
    super.executeQuery();
    } finally {
    sessionScope.remove("MyQuery");
    throw new JboException("Query Taking too long to respond");
    and in the JAVA class i am calling the above method like this:
    monitor.setQueryTimeOut(6);
    monitor.executeQuery();
    But the issue is:
    1. The above exception message is getting carried forward to other pages as well. I mean somewhere in the session/ADFContext this message is being saved and error comes up/pops up when i click on other tabs of the page. How do i clear this?
    2. The above exception message is coming for the first time but when i click the 'Submit' button second time, i am getting the results and also the message that 'Query is taking too long to respond'. This should not be the case, everytime it should show the same message as the timeout limit is less and the query should end without fetching the results.
    Kindly let me know how to resolve the above issues, any pointers will be helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

  • NVL in view: discrepancy between 10G and 11G

    Hi,
    I've discovered some discrepancy between 10G and 11G in a way how view deals with NVL-based column in a where clause.

    View created.
    SQL> select * from view_nvl where null_column is not null and null_column = 0;
    NULL_COLUMN
    0
    *11G*
    Connected to:

    Table created.

    View created.
    SQL> select * from view_nvl where null_column is not null and null_column = 0;
    no rows selected
    Does anyone know why it behaves differently?
    I couldn't find any documentation regarding this.
