We can also use Tibco as a middleware instead of XI to connect to R3. We have used it in one of our projects.

Error when connecting to MDM from different lan

Hi,
I got "Image Server Login Error" when connecting with client to server from different LAN, server is up, and i can connect to it when i in the same LAN. Ports 20003, 20004, 20005 for MDM server discovering and repository port 2345 is accessible through router. Running SP2 5.5.24.06.
Rem: it's not a port problem, when port 2345 is closed i got "WinSock error on connect"
PS: When I used MDM SP1 i connected to him properly in the same case.

If your repository is set to port 2345, then 4 subsequent ports should be openned also, i.e. 2346-2349.

Different ways to inspect a material from 2 different Vendors

Hi All,
The issue is related to the QM when the same part has been receiving from two different suppliers.
In above case there are two situations.
1. One supplier is a Green channel supplier & its materials are not needed to inspect every time at incoming stage.
2. Another supplier non green channel & its materials are needed to inspect every time at incoming stage.
But if we define some skip level or dynamic modification rule selection, it is for the material. But the material is same for both the suppliers. How it get resolve. Please help.

Different ways to invoke a servlet from another servlets?

I am a bit confused today. I was thinking about all the ways by which I can invoke a servlet from another servlets. I know it can be done by creating an instance of the 2nd servlet in the 1st one. Is there any other way? such as say.... RequestDispatcher perhaps?
Here is an example to illustrate my point. I have a login.jsp which submits to login.do. login.do search through database and first authenticate email and then the corresponding password. Now its time for displayGame.do. So here how do i do? if it was a displayGame.jsp then i could have used Redirection or Forward but when it is servlets? Can I still go for Redirection or Forward??

Answer: a servlet.
So yes, you can use a RequestDispatcher to forward/redirect to a servlet OR a JSP, whatever you like.

The drive my iTunes music was on is totally dead, so I'm on a new computer. Is there a way to restore my music from my iPod to the new machine?

I had a total hard drive failure. I cannot retrieve my music stored on this drive, including a few iTunes purchases I had not backed up. Is there a way to push my music from my iPod to a new computer with iTunes? I hate the idea of re-ripping my CD's, not to mention losing some iTunes purchases.

Connection to MQ from pl/sql

Currently we are using Pro c to Read/write message from MQueue. We are planning to convert Pro c logic into store procedure.
Is there any way to connect to MQ from pl/sql store proc?
It will be great if you share some document/sample programs on this.

I believe IBM ships MQSeries PL/SQL support through some package called mqpack.
Never used it, but maybe you can find it yourself, or already have it.
That is, if we are talking about the same thing. MQ = Websphere Message Queue?

I have an Apple Mac Pro at home with a WIFI connection, which works very well.
When I took the machine to my father in law who also has a WIFI connection (but from a different company), I tried to connect my lap top to his server box without success. I am being asked for the key code written on his WIFI box. When I type it, it does not let me in...

A different way to deal with "unknown" user after upgrade from Tiger.

It's a known issue that doing upgrade and install or archive and install from Tiger to Leopard, produces a lot of folders with "unknown" group in their "get info" panel. This has to do with a different group structure in Tiger and Leopard.
In Tiger, every user has their own private group with the same name as the username. That group is set to be user's primary group.
In leopard, every new user with an account is a member of the group staff (gid=20) which is not present in Tiger. Leopard doesn't fully understand Tiger's private group structure, hence the "unknown" group. This causes various problems such as Finder crashes when trying to change the permissions and ownership in the get info window.
Apple's proposed way of dealing with this is described [here|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=307128].
However, this method doesn't change the existing group structure and doesn't resolve all the problems.
I'd like to suggest a different way of dealing with it.
1. create a new admin user (if you don't have one already), log out of your primary account and log into the new one.
2. enter the following in terminal:
*sudo dscl . delete /users/"username"*
where username is the short name of the user on the main account (not the one you are currently logged into).
This will delete that user.
3. Log out/in.
4. go to system preferences->accounts and create a new user with the name and short name exactly as the one you've deleted in step 2.
You'll be get a popup saying that a home directory by this name already exists and asking if you want to use it. Say "Yes".
That's it. Your main user will be recreated using the native group structure of Leopard with gid=20(staff). Permissions on your home directory will be reset with correct group and ownership.
I tested the process on my powerbook after an upgrade and install from Tiger to leopard and it worked without a hitch.
I like this method better than Apple's because it completely gets rid of Tiger's group structure which was creating all the confusion. The only downside as far as I can see is that you might have to manually change the group ownership on some files belonging to the main user that sit outside your home directory.
I would appreciate any comments on this.

hmm, I confess, I did this before installing 10.5.2 so i can't say for sure. However, I've dealt with a few people (see e.g. this [thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7012957]) who are running 10.5.2 and still have this issue. I don't know what if anything 10.5.2 did about this but I'm quite sure that it didn't change the group structure inherited from Tiger.

You can't simply change the details.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Error while connecting to MDM server from Webdynpro

When I deploy my application I get the following error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: a2i/common/CatalogData
It can't be determined from the exception chain, which class loader failed to load the above class. But at least the class loader of the current application does not contain a resource with name 'a2i/common/CatalogData'.
What do you guys think is the problem ?

Hi ,
   I found a document which says that MDM4J is the legacy API and is considered deprecated .The MDM Java API is the new one .I have both of them in the java build path . I am not sure if this is that cause of the problem .
Now I had a look at the javadoc for the new API but I am not able to locate the class to obtain a connection to the MDM server from a custom application being built in Netweaver Developer Studio . Can someone help me out with the same ?What would be the code to obtain the connection to the MDM server with the new JAVA API ?

"Create bid invit. from template in two different ways has different consequuences"
When I create a bid invitation from a previous template, from the template search results (Icon_create SAPLBBP_BID_INV 1010) my bid is published but then stay in the model search and the status is wating for approval. But no workflow started in BBP_PD.
If I use the same template for creating a new bid from the detail using the create bid invitation button, the bid invitation is created correctly.
I have configured the two events for the BUS2200 object and both of them have an initial condition.
It seems that the two actions trigger different events or something like that
Does anybody why it is occurring this and how I could link the workflow without approval for this case.
